Yu-Gi-Oh - OCxOC

(Yeh.)

Jay arrived at school the next day, his usual smile on his face. He didn't linger on what happened with Vincent too much. The guy seemed off, but Jay hoped to avoid him for the most part. He knew that would be hard with Acacia.

Jay went and leaned against a locked door, waiting for Acacia.

Acacia only walked to the door as she stared down at her cards. A frown on her face as she just shuffled them slowly. Looking up at Jay, Acacia forced a smile on her face as she greeted him.

"Hey, Jay."

Jason smiled when he saw Acacia.

"Hey Acacia, I'm guessing your cousin talked to you yesterday. I'm sorry, but I realy do not like that guy," Jay said slower than usual. He gritted his teeth when he finished.

"No, actually." Acacia looked worried as she stopped shuffling her deck and looked away from Jay. "He left my deck on the living room table last night and... I haven't seen him since."

The red head looked back at Jay with a slightly scared expression as she asked him something. "You don't know where he might have gone do you?"

Jay was a little happy, but didn't say anything for Acacia's sake. He was almost positive that Vincent was working some evil plot.

"Uh, we had a duel where I got smoked and there were some words exchanged. But I have no idea where he would go," Jay said. He didn't want to lie and give Acacia false sympathy, but he made sure not to hurt her feelings.

Acacia only nodded as she just looked away once more. "Alright, I was just wondering." The teen soon started to shuffle once again as she looked up at the sky.

"How bad did he beat you yesterday?" Acacia asked this question as she looked back at her friend.

Jay was a bit embarrassed, but answered anyway. "Let's just say ig was quick. He was using your deck though. Not sure what he was trying to get across."

"No clue, Vin can be a little weird every now and then." Acacia admitted it as she chuckled lightly and waited for school to open up. "He's not bad though."

Jay didn't chuckle backnlike normal. He disagreed with her last words, bit refrained from saying anything. The morning bell rang and the doors were opened.

"Well, see ya later," Jay said, entering the school.

(Time skip? If you have anything planned, we can go straight to that.)

(Alright and I do! So next day.)

Acacia slowly walked to school. Her expression read clear fear as she walked to the school entrance. Something was clearly wrong as she shook.

Jay spotted Acacia as soin as he reached the school. In fact, she was hard to miss. Shaking, a terrified look on her face.

The previous night, Jay worked on his deck. He subbed out many monsters for support snd changed some support cards. He knew that was his downfall lately. He thought about Acacia's deck and her different strategies.

Now, Acacia was a hot mess. Jay approached her cautiously and asked, "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

"Vincent never came home." Acacia looked at Jay with huge green eyes as she tried to calm down. "His cycle's missing and, his wallets at home." Acacia just rubbed her hands together as she tried not to cry.

"I don't know what to do." Acacia stared at Jay as she frowned. A look of fear stayed on her face with no way to change it until Vincent was found.

A million and one thoughts flooded Jay's head. He despised Vincent, but felt bad for Acacia. He stared back sympathetically.

"Well, you should file a report, unless you think he went somewhere on purpose, which this sounds like. Other than that, I'm sure my mom will let you stay with us until we find your cousin." Jay referred to Vincent as cousin, because the word vinceng still left a bad taste in his mouth.

Acacia only shook her head as she looked at the ground. "No, it's fine..." The red head trailed off slowly as she kept staring at her own feet. "If he doesn't come back soon... I'll have to go back to Satisfaction Town." The red head had no idea where her cousin could be. She really wanted to make sure he was okay at least.

"If you see him, you'll tell me, right Jay?" Acacia looked back up her friend as a few tears ran down her cheeks.

Jay honestly wished that Vincent would stay gone. The guy was clearly trouble. Jay still had his suspicions, but was careful not to vocalize them.

"I'm not letting you go back to Satisfaction Town. You're safer here alone than out there. You will stay with me." Jay paused, thinking. "Yes, for you, I would let you know." Jason then embraced her in a hug.

Acacia hugged Jay back, the frown on her face didn't vanish as she just looked at the ground. She was trying to think of any reason as to why Vincent would suddenly leave without so much as an explanation. But, nothing came to Acacia's mind.

As the day went on, Acacia stopped crying as she went to class. However, she left early in an attempt to try and search for her cousin. All that came up were missing poster signs of a lot of different people. A few people Acacia even recognized as being in the tournament a few weeks ago. She couldn't find anything else that would have connected any of them to Vincent besides the fact that he had dueled them.

It was only when school was done that Acacia had made her way back. A concerned expression on her face as she shuffled her cards quickly. A few thoughts came to mind on what was happening, but she wouldn't voice them yet.

(Time skip? I have an idea of where you're going with this, but I think it's best if you do it. I'll be gone until tonight. Baseball.

(Alright!)

The next day, Acacia had come back to school as she thought about all the missing people posters she had seen the day prior. A concerned look on her face as she walked towards Jay.

Acacia had a stack of papers in her hand as she mindlessly bent the the corners of them

Jay saw Acqcia holdig a bunch of papers, a bit weird if you asked him. She was being her usual self and bending them.

"Hey, Acacia, everything okay? Need any help?" Jay asked, holding his hands out to take a few papers.

Acacia only shook her head as she handed the papers to Jay. "No," The red head looked a little nervous as she spoke carefully. "I wanted to show you something."

All of the papers showed different people. All of them were duelists that had fought in the tournament.

Jay looked at the papers. Wait, not papers, missing person flyers. He studied them. "Hey, that's the guy I beat, the guy who I saw you dueled, Vincent!" Jay put all of the pieces together. "Somethin is happening, and I don't like it." Jay paused. "We need to stay together now. Not because we're friends, because we're both in danger. I-I don't know what to do. "

Acacia nodded as she bent the corners some more before unbending them. "I don't know what's going on. I would understand it if these guys had taken the people they lost to, but..." The red head's green eyes were scanning all the pictures. She still needed to do some research on just who these people were. "Right now, the pattern's random."

Acacia looked around to see if anyone was looking at them or eavesdropping. There was a wave of paranoia that flooded the teen as she continued to bend the corners of the paper. "W-We just need to be aware of what's happening around us."

Jay nodded his head. He was trying to look cool, but his own emotions and thoughts were getting to him. What did thisnperson or people want? Who even are they? A bunch of unaswered questions.

"Well, it's best if we're nevee alone. They'll be lessmlikely to strike if there are a bunch of people around. We'll be fine during the day, I'm just worried about the night..." Jay's voice faded out. He looked down at the ground, worry sitting on his face.
