Yu-Gi-Oh - OCxOC

Acacia nodded as she bit her lip. The red head took a few deep breathes as she tried to keep herself calm. No one needed to see her distress as she looked at the crowd of people.

"I guess, but what do we at night?" Acacia had the night shift at the card shop. She was scared.

Jay was clearly deep in thought. He had never been in a dangerous situation before. He thought some more then realized something.

"You know what, we can't run or hide. We can't. Whoever this is will get us sooner or later. I say we attack them. I have a good idea of what will happen when we meet them. Dueling. We need to be prepared. We need to stay together and be ready. That's all we can do."

Acacia nodded as she thought about the possibilities. If either one of them ran into the people responsible for this, they wouldn't be able to run away or fight them off. Dueling would be their only means off possible escape. "Yeah."

No matter what, the red head couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching her and Jay right now. That sensation had the girl's skin crawling as she looked at the school. "Let's just go. Now." Acacia's voice sounded panicked as she looked at Jay.

(Time skip to night?)

(Yeh.)

Jay and Acacia had made it through the day all right. No ambushes yet. Just constantly looking over shoulders and being very worried.

Jay was with Acacia late night after school. He wasn't going to wait to be attacked. He was going to put himaelf out there. He knew he'd be found sooner or later.

"Be on your toes. Any moment now."

Acacia only tried to stay calm. She didn't like the idea of being set out like bait for a shark, it was fear that kept her where she was. "Alright..." Acacia's voice was trembling as she waited outside.

It wasn't long before a cycle started to slowly roll pass them and stopped. The two people on the cycle had their faces hidden by the helmets as they walked towards the teens.

"Here we go," Jay said under his breath. He didn't look at Acacia, didn't want to seem scared.

"You two, come forward. We're here now. Tell us what you want." Jay said all of this rather assertively. He didn't want to go straight to a duel. His deck was imrpoved, but these guys had to be good.

Only one took their helmet off. The dark hair and blue eyes instantly recognizable as Vincent blankly held his duel disc out on his arm. Acacia's eye went wide as she stared at her cousin. "V-Vin?!" The red head called out to him but she didn't get a response.

Vincent only pressed a button on the duel disc as a grappling hook came out and attached itself to Acacia's. "Shadow Duel." The dark haired teen sounded monotone as he stared at his beloved cousin. The other duelist only did the same with Jay as he started to talk. "Shadow Duel."

Jay wanted to scream. He was terrified. Shadow duel. They were only spoken of in legend. Said to be dangerous, dangerous enough to do more than take a life. Lock away a soul forever.

"Acacia, stay calm. That isn't Vincent. Okay? I promise, we'll find a way to save him," Jay said, trying to sound strong. Vincent didn't seem like himself. Not with the weird voice. Perhaps Jay was right about Vincent, but in a different way. Maybe whatever took over Vincent, had been around the whole time, trying to take hold of Vincent.

Jason realized he was in a duel now and drew five cards. His opponent seemed like he was going to go first.

(I have to go to bed, I'll reply tomorrow! Night ^^)

Acacia was shaking as she looked at Vincent. A dark glare was the only thing looking back at her as she nodded. "R-Right!" The red head didn't sound too sure of herself as she drew her five cards. Vincent had the first move. "I summon to the field, Archfiend Soldier." The dark solider stood in command as it glared at Acacia.

Vincent continued on with his turn. "Now I play the spell card Different Dimension Capsule." The sarcophagus showed up as one card was removed. Acacia had no idea as to what card Vincent had removed as she just looked away. The girl only looked at Jay's duel as his opponent started.

"I draw." The unknown duelist pulled out one card as he held three monsters, two spells, and one trap. "I summon to the field Dark Blade to the field." The dark elemental warrior came out to the field as he stood in attention. "I equip Necklace of Command on Dark Blade and end my turn." The masked duelist finished his turn as he waited like a zombie for Jay's turn to start.

Jay looked over at Acacia's duel, rather worriedly. Vincent was good, and she had never beaten him alone before. Hopefully she could pull this duel out, or it would be her last duel ever.

Jay drew his sixth card and looked at his hand for the first time. He had three monsters, two spells, and one trap. It wasn't a bad hand. In fact, it was a great hand. Jay realized he seemed to have top-decked a bit.

"I activate Foolish Burial and send Armed Dragon LV.5 to the graveyard. I then summon Baby Dragon, but I remove it from play to special summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Using my dragon's special ability, I special summon Armed Dragon LV.5 from the graveyard! Now, using my revived dragon's ability, by discarding Luster Dragon, I can destroy your monster and the spell card does not activate! I attack directly!" Jay attacked with his two extremely high powered monsters and wiped out his opponents life points. Jay was just lucky to draw the three cards he did. It was the only reason he won. Luck.

Jay looked at Acacia's battle, seeing her struggle, he yelled from the sidelines. He didn't want to see who or what happened to his opponent.

(This is like a one time thing. Probably won't happen again. Just because that was a rather weak start for the opponent. )

Acacia nodded as she drew her card. "I draw." The red head looked at her cards she had two monsters, three spells, and one trap. It wasn't the best or the worst. "I summon to the field Botanical Lion to the field!" The flower lion came out as it roared at Archfiend Soldier. However, Vincent didn't seem affected at all.

"I'll play Book of Moon to turn Archfiend Solider go into defense position so Botanical Lion can attack him!" The card went down as the lion easily shredded it. Vincent however seemed unaffected. "I-I'll end my turn." Acacia stuttered lightly as she looked at the dark gaze of her cousin.

Vincent only drew his next card out. "You've made a large error." The teen only showed a spell card as he played it. "I activate Level Limit-Area B." Botanical Lion was soon in defense position as Acacia gasped. None of her monsters would be able to attack. "Then I place one monster face down, and end my turn."

Jay was watchig Acacia's battle intently, not daring to say a word. He didn't want to distract her. Qhen Jay glanced back to where his opponent should have been, he wasn't there. Luckily, the chain broke when Jay won, so he was now free. A spell destruction card would be huge for Acacia.

Acacia only drew her card out. She had nothing that would destroy Level Limit. However, she noticed something. "Wait, with card on the field your monsters who are 4 stars or higher also get changed into defense position!" Vincent didn't say anything as he waited for his cousin to finish.

Acacia felt a little more confident as she summoned a monster. "I summon, Seed of Flame!" The exploded looking plant came out before level limit made it go into defense position. With nothing else to play, she was forced to end her turn. "I end my turn."

Vincent just drew his card and stared at Acacia. Different Dimension Capsule's effect ended as the cars that was once removed went to the teen's hand. Vincent soon smiled darkly at the red head as he spoke. "You have lost, dearest cousin." Poisoned dripped off his words as he slowly showed the cards in his hands.

Right Arm, Right Leg, Left Arm, Left Leg of the Forbidden One. The card that had been placed into Vincent's hand from his spell card was none other than Exodia the Forbidden One. "His effect activates, and I win the duel." Acacia couldn't believe this as she stared at her cousin.

A sharp intense bolt of electricity shot through the red head as she screamed in pain. Vincent took in none of it as he turned and looked at Jay. Acacia was left laying on the ground as a dark mass started to slowly cover her body.

Jay was watching the battle. None of it seemed too out of place, until Vincent got his stored card. Jay wanted to drop on the ground himself. Acacia was fading, but Jay didn't dare go near her. If he went with her, there would be no possible way to save either of them.

"What did you do to her?" Jay yelled demandingly. "Bring her back!" Jay could only think of one way to save her. Dueling.

Vincent only shook his head as he started to place his helmet on. "I brought her to the shadows." The teen slowly walked over to Acacia's deck. It was the last thing remaining of her. "If you wish to settle matter, we'll have someone come here tomorrow to duel you."

With that, Vincent started to walk back to his cycle and got on. Riding off as one card was left one the ground. Fiend of Flora.

Jay began crying. Nobody was there anymore. He was alone. He didn't need to act like a man. Even if he did, he wouldn't.

"Come back here you little!" Jay was sobbing between breaths, swearing a bit in between. Evan walked over the card that was dropped. Fiend of Flora. He stuck it in his deck and walked home crying. He did pick up Acacia's duel disk which was broken from the chain.

-------

Jay skipped school the next day. All he did was rework his deck, coming up with new strategies. Not only did he have to save Acacia, but protect himself.

Jay arrived to the scene of the previous night's duel and waited for Vincent, trying not to sob.

As Jay waited. A cycle did pull up, a small figure getting off the bike as they held a shadow duel disc. "..." Nothing escaped their mouth as a long chain quickly attached itself to Jay's duel disc.

The dark green helmet hid the person who was behind it. Nothing escaped the dark glass as they just held a finger up as if to say ready.

Jay stared the person down and got himself together. He was ready.

"Fine, I'll go first!" Jay drew his first six cards. Three monsters, two traps, and a spell. It wasn't a bad draw. "I summon Luster Dragon in Attack Position! I then lay down a face down and end my turn." Jay's face down was the trap card Dust Tornado.

"I draw." The voice was clearly female as they gracefully drew out one card. Three monsters, two spells, and one trap. No opinion was formed as they summoned a familiar monster to the field. "I summon Botanical Lion to the field in attack position and use Mystical Space Typhoon on your face down."

"Now, I place one card face down and end my turn." The unknown duelist ended their turn as they stared at Jay.

Jay knew what was going on. It was rather obvious because the same two cards had been used against him in three or four previous duels. It was no surprise. Jay grew more confident. He drew his card, a monster.

"I know this deck like I know the back of my hand! I activate my own Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your face down!" Jay watched, hoping it wasn't anything too good.

Negate Attack was soon destroyed as the duelist remained calm. They only stared directly at Jay as they waited patiently for something to happen. They still hadn't received word to remove their helmet yet.

(Sorry, didn't receive a notification)

"I now summon ELEMENT DRAGON! I attack you directly with both of my monsters!" Ttwo dragons attacked, inflicting 3400 points of damage. "I end my turn by laying down a face down." Jay's face down was RAIGEKI BREAK.

(It's okay!)

The duelist screamed as they received the damage. The woman was in clear pain as the helmet was thrown off. Red hair and green eyes, a pained expression was on Acacia's face as she looked at Jay.

"I-I draw." Acacia's tone was sturdy as she weakly drew her next card. "I activate Heavy Storm!" The spell activated as Jay's face down Raigeki Break was destroyed. "Now I summon Lonefire Blossom."

The red head soon activated the small plant monster's effect. "Now, by sacrificing it I can special summon to the field Tytannial, Princess of Camellias." Acacia wasn't smiling as she commanded the plant type monster. "Now, Tytannial attack Luster Dragon!" The rose creature easily took down the monster as Jay received 900 points of damage.

"I'll end this turn by laying two face down cards." Acacia had laid down Pollinosis and Dust Tornado.

Jay's confidence was broken. He was dueling Acacia. He couldn't win now, not out of fear of banishing her. Then again, if he lost, they'd both be sent away. That's not the real Acacia. It's her body, not her spirit. Jay realized that he probably wasn't dueling the real thing. Just the body.

Jay drew his next card. The spell card, Ookazi. Jay paused for a moment. He could end the duel right now, given she didn't negate the effect. But Jay was still scared to do try to win. He remembered that he had to. If he lost, he'd also be doomed.

"I activate the spell card Ookazi! It inflicts 800 points of damage!"

Acacia only shook her head as they felt the damage. However, she wasn't vanishing yet. Instead Acacia just stood there and accepted the lost as she went and picked her helmet back up. "Vin is going to be mad." The red head frowned as she toyed with the device.
