Fantasy Wolves on the Run

Grey watched as Alyla ran off. That's the wrong direction to Yellowstone. He shifted into his wolf and sprinted after her. You're coming with me to kill Black, because if I die someone has to keep Elliot sane. Although aged, Grey could still run at a shocking speed, leaving dust in his wake.

You'll be fine. Right now, I have something important to do. Alyla barely glanced at Grey as she slowed down to a complete stop. Alyla.....Alyla.... Where are you Alyla? Then a sharp stab appeared in her mind causing her to yelp. Alyla, don't worry about that voice or Grey. We need to get down to Las Vegas. Now! Looking over at Grey with a determined look, one that hasn't appeared in her eyes since the time the two of them were back in the practice room. Grey, this is something I need to do right now. Something is about to happen. Bigger than our own problems. You and Elliot go kill Black. I'm heading down to Las Vegas. Then Alyla shifted to her normal form. Taking her necklace off, the same one that Grey gave her, and clipped it around his wolf neck. "Grey, you're not going to die. You can't because you still have all those promises you made." Alyla smiled. Alyla, it's time to go. Alyla took a deep breath before letting it out shaky. "Grey...." Laying a soft gentle kiss on his wolf nose as a single tear rolled its course, "You will come back." Then she shifted into wolf and disappeared at neck breaking speed. By the time she reached Las Vegas, the moon had almost reached sky high.

An intrigued look filled Grey's eyes. He reverted and stared at the necklace. While distracted by it, he was tackled harshly into the ground. His old ligaments made his recovery difficult, but he made it. He looked around, unsheathing Final Grey and the Knife. No one was there. He did feel a sharp pain race across the left side of his ribcage. There was a red gash created by a blade. When did this happen? Tackled harshly again, he felt the same pain the right side now. Needless to say, another gash appeared. His joints hurt from this tackling, his sides from the gashes. Who could be this strong yet elusive? Grey decided to retreat with his wolf. His running was clumsy as a result of the joints and gashes, but he still returned to the cave alive.

Ketsueki awoke and looked up at Grey as he returned to the cave. What have you gotten yourself into this time? Her eyes widened as she saw the deep gashes on his sides. "What happened? Where have you been? Are you okay?"

He reverted and leaned against the wall, breathing heavily and rapidly. He slid down to a sitting position. These cuts have pierced my lungs. Speaking would hurt enough to the point of fainting. I wish I could respond, Ketsui. He pointed to his utility belt, towards the medical pouch.
