Realistic or Modern Wolves of the Steam Valley Forest (OPEN)

Seeing the male growling, she raised her hackles, baring teeth. Trotting away, she walked into the woods, dragging her claws against the bark of a tree, stretching. Hopping up on a lower branch, she watched for any passing creatures. Watching the sun slightly set, she hopped down, walking back to the pack. She laid in her den, watching the other wolves.

The response to the other female, though a bit startling was not entirely uncalled for. Shayde can understand his uneasiness and shows no sign of distrust or what not. If anything she is relieved to no longer have prying eyes watching them. "I see your concern." She had noticed the abundance of young females and couldn't say that it is reassuring to realize just how bad things may get coming up to breeding season. It would be a mad house at that time and much too much would be happening for her liking. As he stood she watches, a bit concerned by his circling. She wasn't too small but neither is she bigger than females usually are. She is a bit thin due too a lacking of nutrition. Other than that she has the ability to be practically anything. Having been a warrior in her previous pack, there's a bite mark at the back of her left hind leg though the rest of her battle marks are hidden beneath her black fur. "I plan to become a healer with my current standing though if I am refused I will take my role as a hunter."

It was shocking how many new pack members had shown up all at once. 'Impressive.' Leon thought while keeping to himself. He isn't quite sure what to say to them, besides going around and greeting them which he was just fine at doing. Everyone seemed to head off in different directions and do their own things after being given the alpha's speech and being rubbed upon. "A new start!" He tells himself while going around now bored with wandering around.

Looking around as he comes back to the dens, the young male spies an equally young female looking not so enthusiastic. It was unsure if she'll be nice or the opposite and yet he still takes a shot. Moving toward her with no further knowledge other than her less excited behavior. "Hi." He greets her shortly after walking up, his tail wagging back and forth in hopes that they may turn out to be friends. "My name's Leon, who're you??" The curiosity he displays is somewhat comical.

Watching another young wolf approach, her tail flicks, waiting. "Hello, my name's Breeze," she says, standing and wagging her tail. She watches the young wolf's curiosity, amber eyes gleaming. Her ears flick and she looks around, finally noticing how many new wolves have shown up. She was surprised to see so many coming to this pack, aside from herself. She sits, awaiting to see what the young wolf has to say.

Leon hadn't put much thought into the next line of speech but that was ok since she seemed nice enough. "A whole lotta new faces." He comments as he too looks around. So many new personalities and types waiting to be expressed. He smiles when looking back at her. "So, what rank are you goign to try for?" His question was simple and one of the first thoughts to pop up.

@crookedsmile

"Yes," she nods in agreeance. She returns his smile. "Lead Hunter or Hunter," she responds. "What about you?" she asks, tilting her head slightly. She pawed softly into the ground, staring at it for a few moments, and returned her eyes to the young wolf.

"Well as long as we have some kind of balance I think we will be fine. I just hope they aren't cocky thinking they can take any girl." I hated any wolf that acted like think. For one not every girl will like you. Every girl has a differnt type and I don't think a cocky wolf is everyone's type. As I circled her I saw the bite mark and raised an eyebrow. "Either someone in your pack didn't like you or you were a warrior. I doubt a hunter would have this mark unless you were another wolfs prey which hopefully isn't true. Iv eaten another wolf better. It's not really the best tasting." I then went back to sitting in front of her. "And as long as you show you are able to do well as a healer Rosie will probably give you the rank. She's isn't gonna give you a small rank just cause you messed something up." I shrugged alittle. She was an interesting wolf. A wolf who was also a outgoing wolf. She wasn't like most females which was a good thing.

Rorek, a strong, powerful, older male wolf, crouched down low, eyes dead set on a medium-sized doe. His stomach was rumbling intensely and his ears were erect, not phased by the conversations going on between strange wolves nearby. Ever since his father was murdered by his uncle and the uncle gained the Alpha position in his birth pack, then kicked him loose, Rorek had been alone, for eight months, as a matter of fact. Hearing the other wolves, the doe's head shot up, alarmed. Rorek pounced, missing his prey by mere inches. He howled in frustration, following the scent of the wolves to the pack, but he remained in the bushes, observing them.

Akira yawned and stretched, hopping down from her spot on a large boulder, the sun beating down on her in a nice fashion. She shook herself awake and joined in on the conversation. "What's going on now? We're picking our spots?" Her ears pricked up at attention. "Or was I just dreaming again?" Akira had a tendency to drift off at times of importance, saving her energy for healing the others. She scratched her ear with her back leg. "That could have been it." Akira sneezed, picking up on the presence of another strange wolf. "There's another male here." She zoned in on Rorek, who came out.

"So, this is why my dinner got away?" He asked in a snobbish tone.

"I'll be sure to stick down stream come that time.." She sighs and leans down to take a few bites. Omelia has already eaten most of her piece and now was watching the other wolves walking around. Swallowing down a few bites, Shayde glances over and shakes her head. "A cocky wolf would have been seen as a nuisance in my old pack.." There's a hint of a growl though she soon goes back to eating slowly. She had just looked back up when Savage had asked her more questions. "I was a warrior." She answers and smiles a bit. "There was a fight and the alphas were under attack..I had to protect them and the pups." Her eyes look a bit distant as she had recalled this and then shaking her head, she moves back to the present. It's a bit reassuring as he tells her that there's a chance in her getting the healing opportunity. "After the battle I became a healing apprentice and later left." The statement of her leaving is a bit harsh although there was more to the story than her simply deserting her pack. "Truthfully, I'd be ready to become a warrior again if the healing doesn't work out.."

"I plan to become a hunter as well." His ears twitched and tail thumps lightly against the ground. It would be nice to make friends with a fellow hunter and maybe he could learn more from her. His experience with hunting had begun at a young age and now having a pack he would observe others to hopefully improve himself.

Rosie: I was walking through the woods near the boarder of the territory when I smelled two wolves who didn't have my scent. I gave a small growl as I followed the scent of them both. As I got close I started to trail near the bushes trying to hide my body but get as close as I could. As I got close enough I walked out of the bushes and looked at the two. "Is there a reason why you two have entered my territory? You lost or are you wanting to join my pack?" I made my body big to show I was alpha. Being an alpha female many males don't take me serious. When I fight them though they change their mind. Hopefully I wasn't going to need to do that with this male and female. @Yuuki Kuran

Savage: "Well if you ever wanna practice being a warrior again I'm open to help. I just hope you can handle it if I get out of control. The first rule is to always clear you mind of everything and just focus on the main thing. That thing is staying alive and protecting. But I think my sister would be able to help if you really wanna be a healer. She's the Deltafeale but she knows a lot about the herbs and berries and all that kinda stuff. She's the baby of the family so she kinda is the more gentle one. Just beware if there's a secret she will find out. She sneaks around a lot so watch out." I say a small laugh and pointed over to Skyler's den. "Her dens over there. The one that's covered in a lot of tree branches. Don't ask. I don't know why she has it like that." @ShadedRose

It took all Rorek had not to burst out laughing at this young female. This should be fun. She really thinks she can take me. "I'd appreciate it if you'd get out of my face." He sighed. "However, since you are the Alpha, I'll answer your question." He inhaled, then was cut off by Akira. "We would like to join your pack." She smirked at Rorek, who looked ready to snap her neck.

I gave out a deep growl and glared at the wolf. He was really gonna try and give me attitude. "This must be a reason your wondering around looking for a pack then. Wolf don't know how to shut his mouth when it comes to a higher rank. Well listen sweetheart." I say as I looked from the female to the male "If you wanna join this pack your gonna need to learn your place. I will not take kindly to wolves who think a female alpha can't take you down. Now I suggest you follow me unless you want my brother to find you and kill you himself. He's the worst of the pack when it comes to strangers. Even more when it comes to stick up loners." I turned to the female "I'm Rosie by the way." I say and then turned and headed to the territory. "Now follow me." @Yuuki Kuran

Bramble dropped a deer at the Alpha's foot, along with several plants. The deer had been weak and limping and hunting it had been a challenge. It had never been his strong suit. He planned to set up a healer den, if he was allowed to join the pack. Please let me join. He had always been an outcast amongst the other wolves and this was still, just another pack. It would be foolish to expect anything different.

Briar stayed low to the ground as her keen eyes surveyed the fox. She had been watching it for a while, since she had been accepted into the pack, the first thing she did was take to the forests surrounding it. There were large, vicious wolves and a smug Alpha who she hated. Well, she felt calm and powerful on the hunt.

She pounced and scored her claws down the fox's sides, easily drawing blood. The fox whirled around, jaws snapping and Briar leapt back with a hoarse cry. That was a mistake. A muzzle poked it's way out of the den and soon she was face to face with two foxes. Two snarling, vicious foxes. They leapt onto her and Briar screamed and thrashed. Idiot. You are an idiot.

Fang looked at the Alpha adoringly. She was strong and confident and beautiful. So different than the sneaky, mangy wolves that he had seen.

"Hello. You may not have noticed me before." He forced his voice to sound deep and more confident than he felt. "I am Fang and I would like to join your pack.

She nods to his helpfulness and how easy it would be to have an instructor to assist in retraining her senses. Don't get me wrong, she could still easily take out another wolf trying to harm herself or her pup despite size yet she finds herself thinking about how much strength she has lost over the passing months. It wouldn't be as simple as dodging a few blows and then striking back. She needs to get back to her original health and with that in mind she leans down once more to finish off her meal. Her head lifts after being told about his younger sister. "Thank you for the heads up and I'm a pretty fast learner, we should be ok." She had answered back to him warning about the sneaky sibling and his hopes of her beign able to handle him. She would definitely have to watch out although there isn't much for her to hide. Nothing worth speaking of, anyway. Looking over to see her den it is a bit odd to say the least. A small smile rises to her lips followed by a quiet laugh. It was almost unnatural for her to laugh but it does feel good.

Omelia, now getting bored with only sitting around, gets up and begins to sniff around. It was easy to tell that she had caught a hold of a scent because before Shayde has noticed she begins to follow after it. The pup was curious of this newly found scent even though it must have been there the whole time. She goes ahead in following it only to be stopped by a sudden obstacle. Looking up from the ground where she stood, a much larger male towers over her looking a bit annoyed. His teeth begin to show before stopping himself seeing as the youngster was already cowering down.

He quietly sighs before turning away once again, his back to the pup giving her enough time to scurry back over to Shayde and Savage.

@AshleyBergie

There wasnt much more I could say. She seemed to know enough about each rank and how to go about it. She must be very intelligent if that was true. As I watch the pup start to get bored and wanna wonder around I saw her stop infront of a male and get scared back. I kept an eye on the male. He must have been one of the new comers. He was gonna be one male that I was gonna have to watch out for and many other of the males. I was the one that was always next to the Alpha since many males didn't take her serious which really is a bad thing. She may seem sweet and small but she got some spunk. I looked down at the pup then up to Shayde. "Seems like your gonna need to keep an eye on this one. I'm not so sure some of these wolves are so kind. I won't be shocked if a few get pup in their place. Hell I'll probably be laughing when it happens. I hate when wolves think they are all big and bad. It's almost like they wanna get struck down or something." I shook my head slightly then stood back up. "Have you guys explored at all?"

Shayde had only seen the male show his teeth though had he stepped toward her pup a fight would have immediately gone done. Her motherly instincts kick in as the pup returns and she gives her a quick lick to the face. "I'll keep my eyes open and yes, not all of them seem to be fitting into the friendly category." She sighs while looking from wolf to wolf. This pack had grown quickly and this both reassures and concerns her. "They'll do well to stay away from my pup." She growls protectively. "Besides..I'm certain your sister will do well in keeping them in check. The alpha should be respected and if these vultures don't understand that they should take a running leap off of a cliff." Her eyes shifted away from them all and look up as he stood. "No." She answers to his question and slowly rises as well.

Both wolves followed the Alpha, Rorek never changed from the smirk he wore as they were led away. Akira, on the other hand, followed somewhat quietly. "Where are you taking us?" The female asked in a hushed tone to the other. "I thought the pack was back there. Shouldn't we stay with them?" Rorek cut in. "I'm thinking you're leading us away for something other than your scent."

Savage: "How about I show you around then. There's more woods I feel like you guys haven't explored coming here. There's some pretty cool spots out there. A nice water fall that flows into a stream. And in the early morning there's normally some fog on top of the water. It's not a bad sight." I laugh a little and nudged to a trail a few feet from them. "It's just down that trail a little. Wanna go?"

Rosie: "Is there another pack I need to worry about." I say as I stop and turn to the two "Are you two hiding from your other pack?" I raised an eyebrow and shook my head and turned back around and headed back to my pack. If they wanted to follow they could but right now I had to get back to the pack. There probably was more wolves joining and wondering where the alpha was. I wouldn't be shocked if Crimson and Savage were busy doing God knows what.

At his inviting tone Shayde offers a small smile to the lead warrior. Dipping her head in an agreeing sort of mannor, she nudges Omelia to her paws and looks off toward the trail. It would be nice to become familiarized with their new territory. "We would enjoy that, I believe." Her tail brushes the ground as she stretches her back legs out and then looks to the sky. This place was starting to seem more and more like a home, giving her comfort even if it were the slightest bit. She thinks about all the details he had given about the different sights and it assists in calming her nerves. Or atleast by taking the edge off.

Akira shook her head. "No. I'm not hiding from anyone." "Neither am I." Rorek agreed with Akira for the first time. "We just wanted to know if those wolves we saw you with were your pack or not. You let my dinner get away, and I joined Akira a couple weeks ago." Now, Akira was like a little sister to Rorek, maybe a nuisance, rather. "We heard you all talking and decided to join up with you guys." Akira, once again, summed it up. "That's not a problem, is it?"
