I was sitting on the alpha rock just watching over the pack. It was a nice sunny spring day with little clouds in the sky. Crimson was out in the territory making sure everything was in line and Savage was out making sure there was no wolves on the land. The pack was newly made and I wanted to make sure it would be the best pack around. But to make that possible I was gonna need to find the strongest wolves to play the major roles. And that meant they were gonna have to show their strength.

(We may start RPing now. This is where you talk to the alpha for your placement)

She sat near the alpha female quietly, looking at the blue sky. The gentle breeze blew against her soft silver fur. She listened and sniffed, sensing for prey. Her amber eyes glistened, looking up towards the rock. Her ears perked, and she slightly wagged her tail.

I looked down from the rock to see a female wolf just sitting there. She didn't seem a threat but I still took it easy. I stood up and slowly walked down for my rock and over to the young wolf. I stood stiff and solid. "Hello. I'm Rosie. The Alpha Female. May I help you?" If she were to attack she wouldn't have a chance she would be down fast. "Are you here to get your rank in the pack?"

She watched the alpha female's stiff posture. She lowers herself slightly, showing her submission. "Yes." she responded, lowering her tail. She watched the large approaching male, standing and letting out a small chuff. She stood, straightening her tail, and flattening her ears. Watching them, she sat, waiting.

Bramble bowed his head as Rose stared at him, pinning him with her stare. He sat quickly, heart pounding against his ribs. He seemed much larger than the other wolves there and surveyed them with a kind gaze. I need a spot in this pack, he thought to himself. He had been run out of the last pack and the memory was a scar on him that he wanted to forget. He had healed a wolf on the opposite side and was caught. Both of them escaped. Bramble fled, refusing to raise a paw against those he had healed, though he knew he could take them. He was naturally large and still strong.

I need to heal again. He felt so selfish, wandering the forest alone and he had chanced upon the fledgling pack. Rosie seemed capable and kind.

"Hello Rosie." Bramble managed to open his mouth to speak and rose to his feet. "I am a healer and I would like to join your pack."

It is time to start anew.

There had been many new wolves coming to join the pack lately. I was glad. I wanted our pack to be the new best thing around here and at this rate it might just be. Many wolves were either kicked out or just loners looking for a new home. As I went to talk to a young female wolf a male came along who was very skinny male. I looked over at him and bowed my head. "What is your name? The both of you?" I asked as I stood tall.

As the male spoke he seemed to be afraid. Maybe he had did this before and other Alphas denied him. "Well Bramble. You may join the pack but we much watch to see what skills you have in healing "

Starflight walked cautiously towards the small gathering of wolves around a rock. It seemed to be a meeting, but she could tell that these wolves did not necessarily know each other. The lines of the territory that she had smelled were fresh, so Star had figured that this may be a new pack and exactly what she needed.

After the Alpha female had run all of the female pups out of her previous pack, Star had been on her own. She had tried a few packs here and there, but nothing really stuck. Now, here was a wolf that seemed kind enough that maybe she would accept her. Star knew that she needed to accept whatever rank might be given to her, though she knew that her stubbornness and quick tongue that she had acquired could make or break this meeting.

She tilted her head downwards, showing the wolf on the rock that she was no threat and quietly said, "Hello. My name is Starflight. If you are accepting wolves, I would like to join your pack."

"My name is Breeze," she said, looking at the larger female. Looking around, she noticed the approaching female, seemingly about the same size as Breeze. She gave a slight wag of her tail, watching. Noticing another wolf, a skinny male, she turned to the alpha female, seeing who she would accept.

"I am Bramble."

Bramble froze and Rosie narrowed her eyes. You must do this.

"Very well." He turned around and surveyed the terrain they were standing on.

"That tree over there," He flicked his tail and Rosie nodded, expectant. "The leaves are used to stave off infection. The plants over there, the ones that look like grass are newstalk. They only last for a few months every spring and they can be applied to wounds to speed the rate of healing. I have used these many times, in my life. The bush at the edge of camp is a redberry bush. You need to pick those fast, or else the birds will get to it, but if they are fresh they should be eaten to expel sickness. The bark of an oak tree is a purgative. Poppy seeds are eaten and they will put a wolf to sleep though anything. They will feel no pain. Blood berries, don't let the name fool you, they will break a fever."

He took a deep breath, his nervousness slowly ebbing away. Healing was the one thing he could do. Saving other wolves was the one thing that made him worthy of being alive.

"Rosie, you would be hard pressed to find another wolf with this knowledge." There is so much more I can do, Bramble thought to himself. Please, Rosie, let me join the pack. The months he spent out on his own blurred together. He was slowly withering away, looking for a pack to stay in, wolves to heal. He would be damned if he messed this up.

"I have put these skills to good use... before." Bramble cursed himself, not willing to divulge his past to the Alpha, who narrowed her eyes slightly.

Briar took a seat as far away from the Alpha as possible, watching keenly. She seemed to be speaking to a large wolf, while others watched. They all seemed to be much stronger than her and it sent prickles of her down her spine. Come on, Briar, she thought to herself. You need this pack.

It had taken her a while to convince herself to give up a life of wandering the forest, hunting in total solitude. She liked solitude. It gave her time to think, time to mull over her life. She could leap high enough to catch a crow and was cunning enough to even take down a fox, the most cunning of all the animals, even with her small frame.

But then another pack of wolves had encroached in her territory and she was forced to flee. They were brutish beasts, all claws and fangs and no brains. Yes, she had seen this a thousand times before. They always fell apart in a few months, brought down by themselves. But she needed protection. And she needed acceptance.

The Alpha turned to her, and she bowed her head in respect as she walked forward.

"Hello," she said demurely, trying to mask her derision. The Alpha was arrogant, the other wolves stupid sheep. They gazed up at her, adoring. They would soon slaughter. That's what packs did. Pick fights and kill each others. It was disgusting. "I am Briar and I am a hunter. I can prove myself to you."

Fang knew he was an Omega from the moment he surveyed the competition. It was always this way. He joined a pack, lost the fights, couldn't bring back enough prey. He couldn't help it. He was awkward, clumsy, weak, stupid. The others called him Rat. Weak and ugly. And he took it. Oh, he cursed them in his mind, imagined one day he could become an Alpha, but he always took it. He was Runt as a pup, but then he turned out to be sneaky like a rat, tiny like a rat. He had the beady black eyes of a rat, the muzzle of a rat, the mangy grey fur of a rat.

Alpha. That was what he yearned to be, at least the tiny part of him that could dream.

Omega.
Everything, everyone screamed at him.

As more and more wolves started to come at once it wa starting to get crowed. I sat down and looked at all the wolves and tilted my head. "Silence. You all may join my pack. Ranks will be given out tomorrow. Please find yourself a den and come to me if you have any questions. Take this time to get to know the land and the woods. If you wish to show your skills now you may but there will not be a promise you will get that rank today right after. We must take into consideration everyone else's wishes and skills and whoever shows the best skills will take that rank." I say as I bowed my head and stood back up. "Now please go explore but I do say watch out for my brother Savage. He's not to kind to strangers so I'll leave my sent on you so he knows you aren't a threat."

I walked up to each wolf and rubbed my body against each one. I made sure my scent was strong before I stepped back and looked at them all. "Now as you all can tell I'm the Alpha but you may call me Rosie. I'm not a rude Alpha I will take any ideas or anything into consideration. The only thing you need to watch is to not cause unneeded drama and do not start fighting each other or I will need to step in and show you your place at the bottom" I bowed my head once against and then trotted down the rock to take a walk in the woods.

After coming back from the border and making sure the scent was fresh as it could be I saw many wolves around the alpha rock and Rosie walking into the woods. I guess we were getting more members which was a good thing. The more members the better we stand if there was an attack from another pack. There were many females and a few makes. Hopefully more males were able to show up we were gonna need more males to be warriors and hunters. We can't put all the females at risk of saying when they are the main source of birthing the new generation.

Shayde was silent as the alpha spoke. It was easy enough to realize who she indeed is and so the black wolf stayed back. Her ears perk up at the speech given and she does well to give her complete, undivided attention while that is not the same for the young pup at her feet. Omelia was growing restless as they stood in silence listening to their newly discovered alpha. Shayde will do as told and keep out of any senseless fights and such though as the she-wolf is approached to be rubbed upon she nearly backs away simply from years of being on her own. This was one of her first experiences in a pack this size or one that was beginning to bloom.

The wolf takes in a shallow breath, she no longer smells only of the pine trees in which she had just roamed that morning. No, she was now in a pack and would be waiting to see where she is placed on the scale rank. A sigh escapes her parted lips and once the alpha has completed her speech she turns and heads away from the ruckus. Much too many wolves were gathered around making her a bit uneasy though who could blame her?

Omelia gives a playful bark as Shayde looks down and leaps upward to catch the bigger wolf's nose. This of course brings a smile to the black wolf's face and the younger begins to bark more frequently. "Hush now, come along.." Shayde's head turns from side to side searching for a less crowded area and once she has one picked out she picks the pup up and goes to that spot.

Savage: After coming back from a hunt I dragged a decent sized buck into the center of the territory. As I looked around I saw new comers and I dropped the deer and started to growl. As the wind blew I then caught the scent of Rosie and the growling went silent. I looked around at the wolves. They were now in the pack but not given a rank yet. I went and picked the deer back up and dragged it to the food den. The den where all food was stored. It was the coolest den so the meat wouldn't rot right away. I then peeked my head out of the den and saw a small pup and the mother. I tilted my head Alittle then went back into the den and picked up a fat rabbit and trotted out of the den over to them. As I troted up to their front I dropped the rabbit in front of them. "A mother and pup should be healthy. And since we don't know how long you went without food this is all I can offer as of now. Larger pray goes to the Alpha first but I think Rosie won't mind missing one rabbit. Just don't say anything or I will deny and hurt you."I wasn't quick the ladies man but hey my name isn't the nicest and neither was I.

Breeze went out into the woods, poking her nose around, smelling. Her feet padded along the soft, green spring grass. She perked her ears, enjoying the spring air. Spotting a small track, she stuck her nose in it. Rabbit, she thought to herself. She walked along, slowly following the scent. She came upon a small grey rabbit. Crouching, she watched it's movements. Carefully, she crawled closer, pouncing on it. She grabbed it, and shook it in her mouth until it went limp. Letting out a victorious howl, she carried it in her jaws back to the pack's territory. She looked at the other wolves, and picked up the scent of other dead animals. Following it, she put her rabbit near the others, wagging her tail.

Skyler: I had been sneaking around in the mainly just getting the feel for everything. I was carrying some berried in a larger leaf that I uses as a sling. As I troted into the center of the territory my eyes went wide with the amount of new wolves. In just a short amount of time there was over 5 new wolves. I saw a female who was bringing an animal back aspnd I troted over to her setting the berries down. "Hello? I take it your new around here. I'm Skyler. And you are?" I ask as I looked at her and tilted my head. She seemed like she could be a hunter but again Rosie, Savage or Crimson was gonna have to say the ok since someone would have to train her anyways.

Once away from the crowd Shayde had just sat when a male wolf was seen dragging a freshly killed deer toward a den. She had debated helping though decided against it as they may not have been as accepting of her help as others. The pup next to her stays close and even with Shayde's continuous watching she feels a bit on edge with so many new scents. It was a few moments before she actually has a seat and looks around, just then spotting the same male from before carrying a rather plump rabbit toward them. Her first reaction is to growl as he nears though she does not and luckily so seeing as this was the alpha's brother whom she had warned everyone about.

Omelia, not having the slightest clue as to who this male is, pounces toward the dead creator right after it was set down before them. Her playful nature getting her in a bit of trouble with her mother who had given her a quiet warning growl. The pup sat then pawing lightly at the rabbit while Shayde looks to Savage. It would have been stupid to refuse the opportunity to eat after so many days therefore she nods gratefully. "Thank you..we are thankful for this." She shows her gratitude toward him by giving a small smile and then glances to Omelia who had spoken as well. "Thank you!" Her youthful voice sounds cheerful despite everything it had taken for them to get here.

"It's no problem." I say as I looked from the mother to the small pup who was pawing at the rabbit. I had to say I had a soft spot for little pups. The ones who could behave and listen that is. The ones who couldn't listen and obey I wasntbghe biggest fan of. As I bent down to the pup a large scar down the center of my back was visible. It wasn't the only scar I had. Being the head warrior meant you went after anything even if it meant the warrior of the older pack. You even had to go against bears and large Bulls and bucks that went after one of the wolves of the pack. I nudged the rabbit closer to the pup then lifted my head back up to the female. "I take it you already know who I am. If not I'm Savage. And yes I suit the name. Bad temper a reason Rosie put her scent on you. Otherwise I would of attacked you and your little pup. I don't take kindly to strangers."

"Breeze," she said, wagging her tail. "I am new here, the alpha just allowed us into her pack," she said. Looking around, she noticed a female with her pup. She continued poking around their territory, finding an empty space. She dug a hole, marking it as her den. She let out a happy yip at her new pack, and new den. She laid in her new den, testing it out, making slight adjustments. Her tail wagged happily at her creation, giving another look around at the others, noticing the female and young pup talking to a male wolf. She watched carefully, ears perked, looking for any signs of attacking in the male.

The wolf takes notice as he leaned himself downward to nudge the rabbit closer to Omelia. Shayde had not expected him to be this kind and watching closely, she sees the soft side directed toward the little ones. The scar is of no surprise to her as she too had been a warrior at one time before finding Omelia, that is. She now knew that she can trust him even if it is just a bit. "Yes." She had said this simply and a bit of interest sparks in her. It wasn't often that you met any wolf who would kill without a second thought if it meant for your pack. She can easily relate however and tearing a bit from the rabbit she sets the meat even closer to her pup. "The pack is everything. It must be protected."

Omelia had sat after being growled at and listened quietly. She was happy to have the food moved closer to her and as Shayde tears her off a piece, the youngster quickly goes for it. It had been a little while since a fresh meal after all.

As Shayde watches Omelia eat, she then looks back to Savage. "I am Shayde and this is Omelia."

As I watched the pup for alkttle I smiled alttle. "You know with how she jumps on the rabbit she might be good as a young hunter. Start off young and she might become a lead hunter. Never know." I say and sat down. "And considering that the pack is new it's probably best to kill first and think later. Everyone who comes to the territory must go to the alpha first. She has the day if you can stay or not. If I don't smell her on you I either attack and drag you to her or I kill you on the spot. It's just the way I grew up I guess." I shrugged as I looked over to a young wolf staring. I gave out a deep growl as my teeth were showing. Telling her to go find someone to stare at.

Taking a bit of pride in his comment, Shayde smiles while watching the pup. "Yes, I've noticed that as of late..she'll do well as a hunter." The certainty in her voice signals her undoubting ways when it comes to her daughter. The black wolf's attention returns to Savage as he sits and she finds herself becoming less alert. Her ears stay perked though and quietly she listens to him speak. Everything he says is logical to her and therefore there is little to no disagreement between their views on things. "Times have gotten harder and you can never be too careful.." She sighs at the thought of having to be so aggressive with new members but that is how it is. It wasn't until the male growls that she even notices the female staring from a little ways off. Shayde doesn't react, her eyes glancing back to Savage. Sure he has a temper but so far she can see no reason for disliking the fellow canine.

After I growled at the wolf I looked back to Shayde. "Sorry I don't like wolves starring. It makes me uneasy when my backs to them or something. A guess a warrior is always uneasy when it comes to newer wolves. Your the only one that Iv talked to that has shown up today. I just hope we get more males. Seems like we only have a few males out of a lot of females. It's gonna suck when it comes to breeding time. I won't be shocked if there's some fights that break out." I shook my head and stood back up and started to circle Shayde looking at her body structure and muscle size. "What rank did you come here for again? A mother with a pup I would think a healer or gather or something. Or are you one who also wants to be a hunter?" Hopefully the newer wolves knew what rank they wanted. Otherwise they would be placed as babysitter or something smaller.
