The Plot
Each year, students are selected to enroll in this elite school. The education is entirely free. Students must meet one requirement: have a special gift. A power, if you will. There's been a wide range of students in the school, elementals, psionics, and everything in between.

The roleplay will center around a group of first year students (ranging in age from 17-24) and their experiences in the school. The headmaster's health is failing, and there's a struggle to decide who will take over his office when he retires. When things get intense, what do the students do to survive?

10:00, Winslow Manor

"Hello students. We're pleased to welcome both our new and old students to Winslow. This is sure to be another exciting year, so we hope you're as thrilled to be here as we are to have you." Harrison Winslow said from the temporary podium in front of the large cherry tree. "Now, I'm sure those of you who have been here a couple years are growing tired of this old man speaking here every year. It's the same old speech every year." He chuckled lightly. It was a bright, sunny day. Summer was fast approaching it's end, getting it's last few days in.

He looked over the group, not large in comparison to most schools, but it was large enough that he was pleased. "As many of you know, this property has been in my family for many years, lifetimes, really. The Winslow family has a long history of being, well, gifted. Though, until my mother, none of them really knew how to control it. Godfrey Winslow, was the first of our family to live here, and he planted this cherry tree the day he moved in. It's a symbol of how far we've come. My mother, Charlotte, was the first member of our family to truly learn to handle her powers.

"Spatial manipulation was her gift, and she used it to transform this home into a school for students with gifts. The classrooms and dormitories, located directly behind the school, are the biggest evidence of her influence over the buildings here. You'll find there's always plenty of rooms available." He smiled warmly, "lots of closet space as well. I won't keep you any longer, go get settled in. We'll be hosting an opening dinner tonight at five pm, I hope to see you all there. The packets you received with your acceptance letter contain your dorm information, dorm mates, a map of campus, and your class schedule. The first family day will be in two weeks. Have fun, kids." He stepped down from the podium, with the help of Sharon Clarke, and headed back to the main school with the rest of the faculty. Leaving the students to their own devices.

Lokelani Arnold

Lani listened intently to what the man who she thought to probably be the headmaster was telling everyone. She wasn't doing it because she was interested in the slightest however, she did it so no one around her would think that she was bored enough to talk to them. Every once in a while when he was talking though, Lani would get distracted by one of the five or six mourning cloak butterflies circling her and resting on her bags. "Nymphalis Antiopa" she muttered under her breath. Lani caught the man talking about getting settled in and dinner and she was suddenly aware of an intense ache in her back from the uncomfortable seats on the bus she took here. But he was soon done talking and released the group to go find the door. Lani put her folder down for a moment to straiten out her sweater and pants. Then she picked all of her stuff up and, not waiting for anyone to show her the way, headed towards the side of the house where she saw a trail which she hoped led to the dorms.

She weaved slowly through the garden path, stopping every once in a while to look at the insects she passed emotionlessly. She was just surveying the area to see what she'd have to work with when she needed to use her power. There was a good variety of garden insects, obviously no scorpions or crabs but beetles, spiders, ants and the like would work for any of her purposes just as well. Still surrounded by her unintentional posse of butterflies, Lani came upon a dorm building. She saw that there was another gap of garden to her left and beyond that another dorm but she had to consult her map to tell which dorm was hers. She picked up her bags once again and strode into the little cottage-looking building in front of her, which her map told her was the female's dorm. She went through the hallways deliberately, searching for her room number. She immediately set her bags down and just lied down on her bed, following the butterflies movements with her eyes. Right now, she didn't have energy to do much else.

Chonsie Bennedict ♣ Pixie

Chonsie didn’t bother to listen as the old man blathered on; she was too busy scanning the less awesome mutants that made up student population. Dorothea had shipped her off and made her promise to do her best to give it a chance. She had said the other students would be “gifted” like Chonsie and she could make real friends. So far Chonsie rather heavily doubted anyone here was at her level of awesomeness.

They all looked more or less normal, a few strange hair colors and a couple of people were trying way too hard to prove themselves cooler than the average dweeb. There was a furry, she was pretty sure that’s what you’re called humanoid animals that looked like she might prove at least passably amusing. There were also two weird light things, one that looked like the northern lights and the other that looked like a giant bird. They were definitely worth checking out, but they also seemed to be older students, the bird had some kind of chick sleeping inside it that looked ancient, late twenties at least.

Chonsie looked for others with what Dorothea called physical mutations and was sadly disappointed. Unless the black cat being carried by the girl with the lumpy jacket could turn into a person she was once again the only true ambassador for excellence these people were likely to meet. Chonsie fluttered her wings slightly in boredom then perked up as the gathered students began to break apart. Apparently the old man was done blathering; she reached down to grab her luggage and turned to one of the nearby students.

“So what did Pops say exactly?” she asked.

The girl raised her eyes in silent judgement before tapping the white envelope in her hand.

“Mista Winslow says we’re ta go to the dorms kid.” She drawled slowly, “Check your orientation packet for dorm info. Later.”

The last comment was tossed over her shoulder as she grabbed a nearby girl and literally blinked away.

Chonsie felt her wings still in shock and fought not to gape like a dweeb. Now that was what she was talking about, the kind of awesomeness that was fit to be in her presence. Maybe Dorothea hadn’t been totally delusional when she sent her to this dump after all. With that cheerful thought in mind she eagerly tore open her envelope and scanned the information. She nearly tossed the class schedule straight away but ignored it for the map and her dorm assignment.

Ugh apparently she had to share her room with some random chick. That was so totally not cool, Chonsie did not believe in sharing. Still she would have to suck it up for now; with a sigh she began to beat her wings hard, causing a flurry of green dust to hit her pile of luggage. She kept up the steady fluttering as she and her luggage began to lift into the air, the luggage rose at varying levels but luckily she had all her bags linked up by bungies. So it was a strange site, a green pixie and her floating bag parade that made its way over the main manor and back towards the dorms. Once in the air she saw a few other students following her lead, one even using wings too! The winged sort didn’t acknowledge her but the others gave her strange looks or easy smiles.

Chonsie mostly ignored them, not out of rudeness but because keeping the pixie dust layered onto her bags required surprising concentration and was exhausting. By the time she had completed the relatively short flight to the dorm she was famished, her stomach rumbling loudly. She made sure she had her luggage hooked to her belt buckle – it would be a pain to have to fly up and catch it later. And reached into her small clutch and ate a few protein bars as she watched other students make their way into the dorm.

She considered going in but she was still had a bit of the munchies and her luggage was still kind of dangling in the air like strange balloons. So she settled back to people watch instead.

She hadn't been standing still long when she was startled out of her contemplation with a crack of lightning and an even more painful crack as her body was slammed into the nearby stone wall by a stranger. The two ended up in a tangled heap which had Chonsie wincing as her wings were bent out of shape painfully, she struggled to her feet with the help of the other girl who seemed to find the whole thing extremely funny.

“Oops, sorry ‘bout that. Tryin’ to dodge Tempy and must have landed off center. Hey you al-”

The girl asked before a crashing boom echoed from the sky and a white haired girl in what amounted to a metal bikini leapt into view with a booming cry of

“Bree! Come and face me like a a woman thou cowardly ..”

Chonsie lost track of what she was staying as she stared stunned at the other girl, she was wreathed in lightning and had a glowing dragon tattoo that seemed to move as Chonsie stared at it. Bree, or whoever the weird girl who ran into her was, eeped in surprise before vanishing from view followed by another crack of lightning and a boom as the white haired girl leapt clear over the dorm after her.

Chonsie just lay on the ground stunned for a moment before she turned to see a steady flap of wings and the winged girl/boy/person from early settling down next to her holding two of her bags.

“These yours? One of the straps came loose I think when Tempest came tearing through.”

The winged person said handing Chonsie the frayed ends of her toiletry bag and the drawstring holding her portable stand for her lucky cat collection.

“Thanks.”

She said getting up with a wince and taking her bags, the winged person gave a slight nod and flew off, Chonsie saw them circling the top of the dorm as she looked up.

“Angel likes to keep an eye out for our newcomers. There are those like Tempest and Flash that can forget not everyone has their durability. Here let me help refresh you..”

A soft voice said as soft light enveloped Chonsie and all her aches and pains faded away, not only that but her hunger and lingering exhaustion also faded. She turned shocked eyes to woman in some kind of robe - maybe a monk? - who smiled peacefully at her before giving her a short bow and gestured to the dorm entrance way where many students seemed to be flowing in.

“Do you require assistance? I am Solace one of the elder students here and I would be happy to assist you to your room.”

Chonsie, who by this point was starting to think she had enough weirdness for the day gave a quick refusal and dragged her luggage inside and through the interior of the dorm until she reached her room. She managed to bang into quite a few people with her floating luggage but she kept bulldozing through. She liked gossip and drama as much as the next person but all that strangeness had left her mind whirring and she wanted a quiet place to get her bearings.

Finally reaching her room she muscled her bags inside and was silently grateful for the monk chick’s assistance she would have had all kinds of aches in pains if she hadn’t been healed or whatever the woman had done.

Marilyn straightened her dress and tugged on her jacket before looking at Maddox. The speech hadn't held anything of particular interest to her. Her hair was down, in all it's glory. The two siblings had drove up the night before, staying in a hotel in the nearest town, without Helen or Marcie. She almost felt guilty, because Marcie had been so excited for a road trip, but these two weren't the only two with school to attend. "I guess we should get moving then. These bags aren't gonna haul themselves."

Her brother chuckled in response as they headed down the path all the others were taking, assuming it lead to the dorms. "How cute," his said when they found their way to them.

"Fitting," she responded. "See you in a bit, oh brother of mine." She grinned. He chuckled in response and headed into his dormitory, and she went into hers. She had been placed in the girls' dorms, which she was glad of. Despite identifying as agender, she still preferred to be with females in most cases. Boys were simply disgusting.

She made it to her dorm before her dorm mate had, throwing her bags on the bed to the right of the room. She decided unpacking now would be better than waiting until later. With her luck she'd procrastinate until the end of the school year if she didn't do it now.

Kate Standford • Raymond Chandler

In a gathering of mutant students it took a lot to truly standout, the sentient light, green pixie, tiger girl, and translucent bird were pretty heavy contenders in the “what the heck am I looking at” contest. But equally as bizarre was the girl in a
beige suit straight out of a noir film, complete with nifty little had and thick hair curls. She looked around her with wide eyes and slightly shaking hands as she gazed at the multitude of fashions and appearances making up the student population. At her elbow was a tall lanky youth in a button up shirt and slacks, he continually shifted and pulled at the starched collar of his shirt.

“Kate I told you we didn’t have to go through this much trouble, people don’t ‘ make first impressions ‘ like they did in the Victorian era anymore.” He said in a strained attempt at good humor.

The girl, Kate, frowned lightly before straightening her knee length pencil skirt with her hands.

“Be that as it may Raymond, I refuse to do our hosts the dishonor of showing up in ill-fitting or or unseemly clothing. Not on our first day, it shows a lack of respect.” She said in a stilted and formal tone.

The boy, Raymond, simply side as if this was an old argument that had couldn’t be bothered to continue.

The two were silent for the rest of the speech and Kate even clapped politely when it was done. The other students gave them both odd looks which the boy met with a sheepish smile and a light touch to his friend.

“Come on let’s just go to the dorm, we’ll talk to the Headmaster later but I’m sure he has stuff to do right now.”

He said quickly when the girl opened her mouth. She closed it again and then nodded decisively before the two began to follow the rest of the students to the dorms.

Both girl and boy had luggage, although the girls was in the form of a single hard suitcase whereas the boy had two rolling suitcases as well as large duffel which he carted along.

The two said little as they made their way through the back gardens, the girl would nod politely to anyone who caught her eye and the boy seemed focus on lugging his heavy bags.

The two finally made it to the maze between the two dormitories and the girl gazed down at the packet in her hands to see where the two would go. Her brows shortly furrowed as she read before she turned to the boy with a distressed look on her face.

“Raymond they have us sleeping in the male dormitory! I simply cannot be expected to say in in a building with unmarried young men without a chaperone! Even with a chaperone, surely there has been a mistake. We must go to the Headmaster at once!”

Kate cried out in distress her hands clenching the envelope as she craned her neck up to her companion.

Raymond reached out to grab the envelope his own face scrunching up into a frown as he read their dorm assignment. He stared at it for a few moments before sighing and looking at his companion.

“Look I did tell you that we were going to have to live with a co-ed situation. We can’t stay in separate dorms it won’t work you know that. And I’m sure you don’t want me among “unmarried” young ladies any more than you want to be around the guys. Look let’s just try it out for right now, if the guys are ..er..improper…we’ll ask the Headmaster for new rooms in the girls dorm or something else. But you said yourself we’re guests and it’s rude to – let me finish – it’s rude to ask him to make allowances for us before the first day is even done.”

Raymond said holding up a hand to forestall Kate’s arguments. He waited a few beats as the girl’s face went through some interesting expressions. Outrage, distress, offense, thoughtfulness, and finally resignation before she simply gave a quiet nod and sat off in the direction of the boy’s dorm with her head held high.

The boy sighed and hurried to keep up his own face taking on a look of long suffering patience and a subtle hint of amusement. As if he thought the coming situation was going to blow up in some hilarious manner and he was savoring and dreading the punchline in equal measure.

The two kept up their steady trot until the entered the cottage that housed the male dorm. Several of the boys within gave the girl in their midst baffled or leering looks but Kate kept her gaze straight ahead and it was up to Raymond to struggle to balance his bags and look for their dorm assignment at the same time.

After he nearly face planted trying to manage it Kate seemed to snap out of her militant walk and circled back around to help him up and showed him their dorm assignment silently. Raymond gave a relieved sigh when he realized it was close by and pointed out their room to his companion, who hurried towards it and immediately closed the door behind them as soon as Raymond entered.

Ray took the time to lean against the wall and catch his breath as his companion bustled about beginning to unpack.

"What the~?" Jade shrieked, her skin pale in fear and her beautiful brown hair now a flaming red. "How did this happen?" Jade cried. Her older brother Jacob peered into the bathroom and raised a brow at his fifteen year old sister. "Wow sis, didn't know you want to go blonde!" He exclaimed, mascara stained tears ran down Jade's hot cheeks. "I didn't dye my hair!" Jade yelled at her brother, she felt the anger and fear churning in her stomach, what will her parents say? How did this happen? So many questions ran through her mind. All of a sudden the candle on the bath corner lit up. Jacob's eyes turned towards the candle. "Jade your too young for lightning candles." Jacob scowled. He moved over the candle, licking his two fingers to put of the flame, yet the flame wouldn't go out. Jacob tried again but no use.

"Jade.. What's going on?"

Jade groaned and chucked her singing clock to the wall, hearing the clock smash was like a beautiful song to Jade's ears. Robert peeked his head into Jade's room. "Jade, that is your third clock this month. Did you have that dream again?" Robert complained, picking up the clock and chucking it into the trash with the other clocks. "Get up, today you are going to school." Robert ordered and pulled off the blanket from Jade's body. Jade groaned and showed her middle finger to Robert. Robert rolled his eyes and left his client to get ready. Jade rolled of her bed and groaned again, she got up and went into her bathroom.

Lilith forced herself to move from her spot, running her hand through her short hair and pushing up the sleeves of her
jacket. She'd already dumped her luggage in her dorm, since her grandfather had had her come up early, she'd already made herself at home in the room. She made sure to keep to her side, of course. She decided against going straight to her room, she made her way into one of the mazes instead. The air was peaceful and quiet. The fountain blocked out a majority of the noise from other students. Which was nice, considering Lilith didn't even want to be here.

"Your grandfather turned down your application," her father spoke over coffee. "He said you can use your powers too well to need to go to the school." Truthfully, the man was much more upset about this than his daughter. He'd been the one to send the application in the first place.

That was the day Lilith had left the note and disappeared for two years. She knew her grandfather didn't want her in the school because of her mother's death. The girl had never looked at any of them the same, because she knew they were hiding something. She shook the thought out of her mind, irritated with the fact that she had to be here. Gramps insisted, after all. It was just to keep an eye on her, they wanted to know what she had done during those two years. Truthfully, it would have sent them running. They didn't need to know.

She found a place that had the perfect amount of shadows and held her hand out, orchestrating the shadows to do as she wanted. She made them dance, turned them into shapes, and then sending them all shooting back to their normal place. She smiled to herself, she still had fun with her powers, and that was the important part, in her mind.

? Albany Chang ?

Location: Dorm Room

Available?: Yup

As Albany sat there, pulling the tips of her bright red hair, several thoughts raced through her mind. Most of them including the idea of tripping the electricity for the whole school, she just needs a power outlet and a simple zap from her hand. Albany ran her pale hands through her hair after the speech was over, her free hand rubbing her face as she walked towards the exit, following the crowd of mutant students towards the exit.
"I'm so excited for the opening dinner! I'll wear my cutest dress!" Albany overheard a girl talking to her friend, arms moving excitedly in tune with her words. 'Yes, yes, how exciting it must be to have to socialize and deal with a shit ton of drama... Must be sooooo exciting.' The red haired female said to herself, rolling her eyes at the number of students that were way too excited for the dinner while wondering what in the hells world was wrong with them.

Before heading back to her dorm, Albany had took a littler bit of a detour (Well, not really) and went to the library to pick up a book, maybe she could find something within the what she presumed to be very dusty shelves. And... Her presumption was right, as she entered, Albany could smell the thick scent of what seemed to be musk mixed with dust and yellowed library books. She quickly picked a book off a shelf and flipped through it, the scent of the pages making her cringe slightly.
"From this alone... Seems like this place would be good to get a few books... But I'm never staying here for more than 30 minutes. Smells like crap." Albany muttered, placing the book back and walking towards the dorms nearby, and unlocking the door to hers. "Looks like no one's home... Great." The room looked nice enough, though there was sort of a lack of space, but it was nice enough. Albany flung her brothers' large camping backpack onto the floor, kneeling down to get her laptop and shuffling towards the desk. As she booted the thing up, Albany realized there was no battery. "A small zap shouldn't hurt." She said, her finger positioning itself next to the outlet for the charging cable, giving it a small zap to restore it's power. "Well, this power's useful at least."

Possibly for the first time in her life, the pink-haired girl was actually listening... Or rather half-listening to the words raining down from the mouth of the pleasant prematurely-grey gentleman before the comfortably small group of students. Harry Winslow was the name, or something along those lines, seeing as Lilou simply couldn't get herself to pay attention to such details. It took the girl an exceptionally long time to remember others' names, even when it came down to friends she remained in contact with every day, and this academy experience would not be an exception to her rule of paying people's titles no mind. This might seem rude (which it is...), yet one must take into consideration that Lilou is not much of a "people's person".

Hence, it was something completely unrelated that had piqued her interests half-way through the rather boring speech - the mention of history. Whether it be a personal quirk or something meant to tie in with the girl's power, Lilou was absolutely obsessed with time, equally intrigued by things to come and things that have already passed. Perking up a little bit to showcase her evident absorption, Lilou ceased rolling up the student handbook as well as swinging her feet from the top of the garden wall she had unceremoniously plopped herself down on. Gazing around in curiosity as Mr Winslow was sharing facts about the school, she truly did assess that the Manor was in fact very old. An anxious itch ran down her arms as she thought on all the secrets that must be hiding within the walls of this building, told by small details - a painting, a vase, some sort of memorabilia. And all of this at her disposal! She couldn't wait to touch everything and learn whatever she could.

Lilou had fallen back into her fantasies once more, seemingly forgetting the very existence of the headmaster and the many students scattered all about. It was the sudden noise coming from said peers that shot her out of her daydream, however, which caused the girl to almost tumble down from her makeshift seat. Regaining her balance miraculously, Lilou stared on in puzzlement until she noticed that everyone was headed off somewhere behind the school's main building. Catching on to the fact that the oration had come to a close and everyone was making their way to the dormitories, she swiftly grabbed her sole tattered @Eunoia) | MENTIONS - x

She stretched out her fingers, feeling the silk stretch out as the fingers extended. Sure, there was people around her speaking, and some paying attention, though that was not what Roxanne cared the most about. What she cared about however was if there would be spirits already in the shadows there. Just waiting for people to see them, to speak to them. Maybe she'd find another Maximilian, or maybe another Sarah would appear. It wouldn't be too far fetched after all, if there was spirits lingering along the buildings. There had to have been someone who had died throughout the years. Maybe through a failed experiment of powers... Maybe from the pressure they put upon themselves. Perhaps maybe it was from a broken heart? So many deaths, so many mysteries. So many questions little Roxanne wanted for to be answered. Ding dong, where are you hiding dear? Ding dong, the clock is ticking. Ding dong, I will find you. Ding dong, I know you'll be found.

Though before Roxanne truly paid attention to the older man who had stood by the tree, his speech was over, Roxanne snapping out of her search for the spirits of the other world. People were scattering away, some going to the building, some seemingly lost. What was it her father had told her before he drove away? Don't pay attention to the sheep, was it that? It was perhaps so. It wouldn't be too unlikely after all, considering how he had pushed her to be learning about her powers, that she had to become a master of them, rather than a follower of them. Yet she knew she needed to find her dorm. "One thing at a time" She whispered mostly to herself, and partly to any possible spirit that was waiting for someone to see them.

Pulling the duffel bag up on top of her suitcase, she rested the letter on top of it so she could read what it said. Blah, blah, blah. All uninteresting information until she found what she was searching for. Her room. There it was. With the number in memory, and the map studied, she took hold of her things again, and started to walk past people who seemed lost, not caring to help any of them. She had a room to find, and a bed to claim as hers.

Eventually finding the room, she walked in and first put her duffel bag on the bed left for the window, before opening it. Not bothering to speak to the person in the other bed, she found the candles, laying them out across the bed. Following with the little black book after. A box with a silver moon at the top, and finally, her little hourglass, in black, with salt in the glass. Her little beauties. Of course, there was many other things in her little bag that she'd need, but for now, those were the most important things to find place for. Maybe even find out if there would be a chance of growing her own herbs that she'd need for rituals. Not that she would admit what they were needed for. No way she'd tell that.

Kynnon yawned when the man finished his speech. The young man had never been much of a morning person, usually rolling out of bed around noon, at the earliest. Classes were going to be starting at nine every morning, according to his class schedule. Why did I think this was going to be a good idea? He sighed and fluffed his hair. He hadn't dressed up, but he also hadn't dressed down. Though, looking around, he was dressed up more than a lot of his peers.

He hadn't brought a lot of things, just one suitcase and a backpack. He started making his way to the dorms, looking at people he passed. He towered over several of them, even the taller ones were shorter than him. Except for one person at the head of the line who towered over the buildings, probably a stretcher. He watched the people moving around. It reminded him of New York. He missed his club already.

There were people talking all around him, chattering about their excitement to be there. The dinner, family day, there were several activities people couldn't wait for.
Family day? Why would anyone want to partake in that?

He finally found his way to his dorm, putting his bags on the bed and staring at them. He quickly used his telekinesis to unpack, carefully arranging his clothes in his closet, spreading his few decorations along the shelf on his side. His powers had always been something he enjoyed using, well, once he learned how to not send people to the hospital.

Chonsie Bennedict ♣ Pixie

Chonsie was just catching her breathe and giving her new room an idle look through when some red-head with a serious attitude problem came blasting in and threw her stuff onto the bunk bed on the right corner of the room. She snapped something about not touching her stuff...to which Chonsie gave her a disdainful look. As if she would bother touching Miss ‘Tude’s tacky stuff when she had far more important things on her mind.

With a sniff and a flick of her wings she proceeded to ignore the girl, who mostly sat there with her headphones blaring anyway.

Instead Chonsie focused her mind on how to get all her stuff packed away in what was a quite narrow space. Chonsie being an avid flyer was not especially fond of the dimensions of the room - being a short walkway evenly divided in decorations. There was the right side with what she assumed was a closet, a desk, a tiny dresser, the bunk bed which Miss Tude had claimed, and a window. The left side of the room was virtually identical only the bed was just a regular bed which suited Chonsie better anyway. She tried not to put herself too close to the ceiling when she slept, she had more than enough bumps and bruises to know that was a bad idea.

With a sigh she looked at her bags, they all looked a little worse for the wear but where mostly still hooked up to their complicated bungee system. There was her clothing bag, a duffel that was floating just above her head; her collection bag floating waist height, that held all of her linens and as much of her lucky cat collection as she had been able to cram inside. She also had her shoes drawstring, floating about a foot above her head, her toiletry which was holding in her hand by it’s frayed bungee along with the thin drawstring containing her portable stand.

All in all her side of the room looked incredibly cramped and a little like a scene from Peter Pan but Chonsie was nothing if not used to floating objects. She actually let her toiletry bag and the stand go sending them floating to the ceiling above her bed. Next she hefted her giant bag onto her bed where it would be out of her way as she unpacked the rest. She was just tugging down her clothing bag when the other girl decided to speak out of the blue.

She muttered something that could have been her name, or another insult. Chonsie didn’t really pay attention as she was trying to figure out how to get all of her stuff put away. She wouldn’t have responded at all, perfectly content to ignore the other girl’s presence entirely, but her inner-Dorothea gave her a not so subtle hint to mind her manners.

“Sorry didn’t catch that, but I’m Chonsie. You can have that bed by the way, bunks and I don’t mix. And I don’t think I’ll need any of the furniture on that side so you can have it too. I might need the top of the closets depending on how big they are but we’ll see. Definitely going to put the stand up underneath you though, I’ll move the bean bags in a mo.”

She said distractedly as she mapped out where everything should go in her head. She was satisfied enough with her proposed idea to try her hand at being reassuring, since the other girl seemed concerned for her stuff.

“No worries about me touching your stuff, I’m not a klepto and honestly my things require enough maintenance that I can’t be bothered with yours.”

She said shooting the other girl a quick smile before returning to her unpacking. First her clothes bag was unpacked, or at least a third of it, as she wrestled the floating bag over to her tiny dresser.

With a sigh she unhooked the bag from the bungee system and towed it over to the closet. Which was as small as she had figured but had a little white shelf bit at the top to which she stuffed the rest of her clothes, flying a bit to reach. She then shoved the empty duffel into the bottom half of the closet where it bumped up against the bottom of the shelf.

That done she went back to her floating luggage and grabbed her shoe bag, unhooked it from the rest, and towed it over to the closet where she just dumped the shoes out of the bag and then flew up and threw the empty bag into the space above the closet.

With the small bags taken care of she tugged down her stand and dumped the pieces out on her bed, on top of her giant duffel. She then let the empty bag float up onto the ceiling carelessly while she set about putting her stand together.

Just as she was finishing putting the shelves together a thought hit her and she turned back to her roommate,

“So hey what are you powers? Nothing too cold right? Cuz I don’t think this thing is made for extreme temperatures.”

She said gesturing to her
stand.

Lani was just about to actually fall into sleep as she watched the relaxingly slow beat of one of the butterfly’s wings that rested on her hand when another girl with disturbingly large eyes came into the room. Lani groaned softly but didn’t actually say anything as the girl started unpacking several beautiful items. They were appealing to the eye, but they had a creepy vibe to them. Like something she would see on American Horror Story: Coven.

Lani wanted badly to ask what this girl’s power was, having a feeling it was something really terrible or really cool. She looked like a strait-up witch, but those didn’t exist…. or did they? Lani mused all of this to herself while also slowly waking up from her almost-blissful nap. She reluctantly got up and began unpacking. She had 2 large suitcases and a duffel bag with her. She started with the largest bag, which held non-clothing items. Out of it Lani pulled a variety of school supplies that were all perfect-looking and all matched the same light cream, pink and purple color theme, which she neatly organized on her desk. Then she pulled out several large books including an old tattered copy of an arthropods identification book (that cost her upwards of 200 dollars, mind you), and placed those neatly as wel. To be honest, Lani wasn’t a huge reader, she preferred to be outdoors, but she loved owning books. Then she pulled out a few other personal items like her laptop and a couple wall prints and started on the next suitcase, clothes. She moved over to the closet and as she was hanging her clothes up she finally broke the silence (something she normally hated doing) and quietly said, “I’m Lani, by the way.”

Kate Standford • Raymond Chandler

Raymond and Kate made short work of their unpacking, mostly by dint of Kate doing most of the work. It helped that the two didn’t have much in the way of possessions to tackle. Just their clothes and toiletries, as well as a few books and comics for Raymond. All in all it was the work of a scant half hour before the two were completely settled into their new living quarters. At least in terms of having their possessions stored away, Kate still seemed uneasy with the idea of living among unmarried young males.

Raymond, in an effort to keep her from fretting and to get some peace himself, suggested the two explore the grounds or see if they might be able to make the acquaintance of any of the students. He was certain that the busier he kept his “twin” the less of a fit she would have over their sleeping arrangements.

Kate appreciated the gesture and agreed with her typical stilted good manners and the two set off. Once more they weaved through the male throngs inside the dorm, again garnering strange looks and a few leers from some of the other males in residence. Kate kept her head held high and Raymond kept close to her giving the others wary looks. He figured he could discourage anyone who got too handsy but he wasn’t looking forward to fighting with the other guys. A few of them looked rather beefy.

Kate for her part found the presence of so many unmarried gentleman more than a little unsettling and quickened their pace until they had finally managed to make it free of the dorm. Her face was pinched in a vague kind of distress as she waited for Raymond to catch.

“You alright there Miss Kate?” asked a accented voice as a dark skinned man came ambling up to the girl. He had a good natured smile on his face and a totem necklace around his neck.

Kate smiled to see him, he was one of the older students that was nearly ready to graduate and had been around when Raymond and Kate were getting used to one another. His fiance had been especially helpful with creating lots of clothes for Kate so that she would better fit in with the time period she found herself stranded in.

“Francisco I am doing well, how is Timothy? I have no seen him lately, has he returned home?”

She asked curiously. The man nodded in good nature and the two made small talk for a few minutes while Raymond settled in a corner, he wasn’t as fond of the two as Kate was but he tried his best to be polite. Finally as if sensing Raymond’s impatience Francisco excused himself assuring them both that he would speak to them later.

With the socializing out of the way Kate seemed much more relaxed and the two ambled through the various gardens idly. They managed to scare up a pair of nature themed twins, Flora and Fauna, that gave the two a bit of idle chit chat before going on their way.

Raymond was just about ready to suggest they head back when Kate brightened immensely and hurried towards someone in the distance. Raymond looked to see what had caught her eye and gave a sigh - Lilith. He wasn’t really all that fond of the other girl, he had seen some pretty spine tingling things done to Kate in other worlds by girls that wore her face. Now he was aware that that didn’t mean that Lilith herself was all that bad, but the girl just rubbed him wrong. It didn’t help that the Headmaster watched her like a hawk and tended to be a bit leary of her associating with Kate.

Kate of course thought the whole thing horrid and just like men to blow things out of proportions. She assumed Harold and Raymond where making mince pies out of moleskin and refused to turn down the chance to get to know more of her current relatives. That said she gave the other girl a bright smile, much less forced or stiff than she gave even Raymond at times.

“Lilith dear how lovely to see you! I hope your doing well this fine day? I hope it is not to forward but would you mind dreadfully if Raymond and I were to keep you company for a time?”

She asked giving the other girl her most genteel smile. She tilted her head when she saw the shadows playing about the other girl, giving a girlish clap of delight.

“Splendid dear, such a fascinating power. Like the illusionists or magicians!”

She said trying for cheer as Raymond looked at the shadows curiously.

“She’s right that’s impressive control, are you just manipulating them or are you calling them from somewhere?”

He asked as they watched the other girl show off her powers.

Aunt Astrids' > Winslow Academy | @Chibii

tumblr_o3aebewEqk1ul6n0wo2_1280_zpshup9qtee.png
Nestled peacefully in one of Maines many woods was Aunt Astrids' house. The older woman pulled her hair into a bun for the day, and was making breakfast for her and Myra in her large kitchen. While she was tending to the eggs on the stove, she raised her left arm, and with a flick of her wrist, the waffles were emerged in the toaster. She was humming an old song her mother used to sing to her before she turned to see where Myra was. Shouldn't she be helping? Besides, Astrid really didn't like to cook, she just wanted to make sure her beloved niece was fueled for her first day. The waffles came up burnt, causing Astrid to sigh in frustration. Placing the scrambled eggs on two plates, she also set two forks aside the plates. Wiping her hands on her apron, she opened her refrigerator and poured them each a glass of orange juice. Eggs would have to suffice today, if Myra wanted waffles, she could make them herself. Grinning, the woman peered down the hallway through her purple framed glasses. Music filled her ears. Myra was dancing in her workshop again, where Astrid had easels, many colors of paint, a CD player, and a large mirror hung on the wall. The mirror was quite extravagant, taking up almost the entire wall.

While Astrids' home was rather small, and Myra was forced to sleep on the couch, she spent a lot of her time in this room dancing. This morning she had the windows open, and was very excited for Fall to start. In the CD player ironically was Femme Fatale by Britney Spears, and while Britney wasn't one of her more favorite artists, her CD collection was lacking. Dressed in her pajamas still, Myra was dancing to
Trip to Your Heart, raising her arms gracefully, but moving her feet more swiftly. She watched herself. Myra was by no means a professional dancer, but she loved dancing and could express herself this way. The song was cut short, Astrid using her gift of telekinesis to switch the music player to off. She stood in the doorway, her arms crossed and right foot tapping.

"Myra, I know you have mixed emotions about Winslow... but what are you really accomplishing dancing to silly pop music in my prized workspace, anyways?"

Closing the windows, Myra walked past her aunt, stopping in the hallway and turning to face her. She was still getting used to being around another person who had powers, even if it was her family. While a part of Myra is eager to meet others with extraordinary gifts, she is still figuring out what she is meant to do with her blessings. "Hmph. Is that eggs I smell?"

"Yes, dear. Eat up and get ready, okay?" Astrid smiled warmly, pressing her palm against Myra's cheek lightly.

Entering the kitchen, Myra sat down at the table. She looked out the kitchen window, two large pine trees blocking the view from the dirt road. After finishing her eggs, she drank her orange juice. "Thank you, Aunt Astrid," she said before rising and pushing her chair in, "be ready in thirty minutes!"

"Hurry, Myra! I was up, got ready, made you breakfast and you are dancing... when I was young..."

After Myra showered and dressed herself for the day, she emerged into the living room, her aunt standing in her lush front yard. She had left the front door open, and was letting her brown chihuahua, Spice, go to the rest room before the two departed for Winslow Academy. By the large wooden door were Myra's bags, and just before Myra could pick them up, they swept past her and were set lightly by Astrid's car. "Just get in the car, Myra! You take forever!"

The young woman walked towards her maroon-colored luggage, placing them in the trunk and shutting it. Before she got in the passengers seat, she called out to her aunt as she was locking the house. "Not sure why we can't just fly there on your secret, magical flying carpet or something!"

- - - - - - -

Putting her vehicle in park, Astrid opened her trunk door and focused her energy on Myra's luggage, the bags floating out and onto the cement path leading to the school. "I love you, beautiful girl. Your mother would be proud."

"Pssh. I'll try calling her later or something. I love you, too."

Opening the car door, Myra stepped out and waved as her magical aunt drove away. In her hand was her acceptance letter, and brochure containing information about her enrollment at Winslow. She looked down at her luggage, she might be able to get away with using telekinesis to make hauling her luggage around easier, but she opted to just carry them. Nearing the grand academy, Myra's green eyes widened. It appeared she missed a speech of some sort, and noticed several different looking young people walking towards the back of the grounds. She followed, walking the vivid garden paths until she found her dorm. The door was left open slightly. Opening the door with her foot, she noticed a pretty girl with bright, pinkish red hair. "Oh... hi. You really should keep our door shut."

Walking inside, she layed her bags down on the spare bed. This is rather nice... she thought for a moment, twirling around and taking everything in. She almost forgot she had a dorm mate. "I'm Myra... and you are?" Showing respect, Myra held her hand out to a girl who obviously had some form of power to be here at Winslow with her. Her curiosity rose suddenly.

A whistle followed by a voice cut through the silence of the room.
"Cool hair." Marilyn turned, finding her presumed roommate. They were a contrasting pair. Marilyn in all black and leather, her roommate in denim overalls. Pink hair though, that was a nice touch.

"Same to you, I like the pink." Marilyn gave a slight smile before turning back to her clothes. She hadn't even started on her other things. Makeup, decorations, books. The things that would make this place feel more like home. "I'm Marilyn," she said as she hung another article in the closet. It was surprisingly roomy for a small dorm. Spatial manipulation? Is that what he had said? She didn't know, hadn't been paying a lot of attention. She was more interested in watching the people around her. She was going to have some fun here. "What're you in for?" She asked, finishing with her clothes. "Your gift, I mean."

She pulled out her makeup next. There was a desk on each side, she'd turn it into a vanity. She'd need a mirror, bigger than her handhelds. She furrowed her brow, placing her two large makeup cases on the desk. This was going to be a task, but she was ready to do it. She'd get some decorations on her side and it would be wonderful.

Sorry didn’t catch that, but I’m Chonsie. You can have that bed by the way, bunks and I don’t mix. And I don’t think I’ll need any of the furniture on that side so you can have it too. I might need the top of the closets depending on how big they are but we’ll see. Definitely going to put the stand up underneath you though, I’ll move the bean bags in a mo.” Chonsie flashed a smile to Jade. Weird, most people would run in fear of her, this would be fun. Jade snapped back to reality when Chonsie asked her another question. “So hey what are you powers? Nothing too cold right? Cuz I don’t think this thing is made for extreme temperatures.” Chonsie joked.

Jade smirked at Chonsie joked. "I have pyrokinesis." She nodded awkwardly, her thumbs began to fiddle together out of habit. Jade sighed and jumped down from her bunk, landing with a loud thump from her shoes. Jade opened her suitcase and sighed, there weren't many clothes that she owned since the last year or so has been rough for her and her father. Jade sighed. "I'll probably cut the bottom half of the bunk to use for more space." She decided. Jade clicked her fingers and a small flame came upon her finger. She moved over to the wall and began to burn some letters in. 'Must remove ' She wrote with an arrow pointing down.

Jade began to unload her stuff, chucking her clothing into her drawer without a care for organizing it. She wasn't going to stay here, at least is the plan. She would stay off the radar and when the time's right she would escape. It has always been her plan and it will be put into action. Jade dumped her suitcase underneath the lover bunk bed and chucked her into the bathroom, she made a note to deal with it later. "So.. What's your ability? Besides the wings and green skin." Jade questioned. She snapped her fingers again and began to burn the metal parts of the lower bunk bed off the pole. Jade began to hum a song that her mother use to sing as she continued to burn the lower bunk off.

After ten minutes or so the bunk fell off loudly, making a loud thunk against the floor. Jade grunted and picked up the bunk and threw it out of the dorm. She watched it land into a bush where it was unable to be noticed. She smiled and dusted her hands off. Next she grabbed the bean bags and chucked them under the bed and sat down, plopping her ass on the bag. "That was easy!" She muttered to herself, admiring her work.

She moved her fingers along the signs on the candles, missing the feeling of melted wax. Her old candles had that. The little drops of wax that had melted, and then dripped down the sides of the candle. Those had that. But this one didn't. These ones didn't. All new, yet all blessed. All ready to do their work. Especially in company of each other. "Roxanne" The blonde said over her shoulder to the other girl, as she moved slowly over to the dressed, putting the book and the box in the center of the dresser. Blowing the ash dust that had gotten onto the box away, she turned around, studying the room. Curtains far away enough from the dresser to that they could burn without her worrying about another building burning down. Far away enough to that she could let the moonlight shine in on the altar at night.

"Hope you're not allergic to dust, to herbs, or to anything else" She said, ending it open. If the girl wanted to answer with her allergies, that was up to her. If she just wanted to shrug, then whatever. Roxanne had at least been kind enough to give a warning that she would have ashes and herbs in the room. So she again started to put things in place. The candles in the shape of a pentagram, all with their signs facing the box in the middle. It wasn't ideal. But it was the best she could do for now.

Lani made a silent note of her roommate's name and continued hanging up clothes until she was done. When she was done she put her suitcases on top of the clothes rack and turned briskly towards Roxanne, looked her over for a moment, staring at what she was doing. Sure, she was a little strange and creepy, but at least she was quiet. She was very grateful that she wasn't obnoxious. With a sigh, started walking out the room, mumbling under her breath quizzically "Isn't everyone allergic to dust?"

With that she left the dorm after quickly checking out the kitchen. Getting out of the dorm was nice. She hadn't realized how much it smelled like mildew. With a deep breath and a sigh she moved into the made and saw a lot of new students gawking at it and an especially good group of students sitting a bit away from here. As good as any Lani thought before she sat down right there on the path, laying her hand down. This was just a little test she did when she got to a new place. She reached out with her mind and just called all the arthropods close to her and just waited. Soon, all sorts of little insects came streaming into her palm and up her wrist. After she thought she had a sufficient sample size she stood up to look at the insects in the light. Her whole arm seemed to be covered in brown and black but it moved and tickled the hairs on her arm. She saw a lot of ants, beetles, a lot of spiders, stuff like that. After she was satisfied she crouched down again and made them all go back to scrounging for food.

As Albany booted up her laptop, she heard footsteps nearing the dorm room, before a foot pushed open the door.
"Oh... hi. You really should keep our door shut." Albany gave the girl a glare, forgetting that she was supposed to have a roommate. As her memory came back to her, Albany's expression softened into a neutral one, giving Myra a smirk. "Albany's the name. Hope we get along fine." The red haired female said coolly, looking down at her laptop as her fingers flew across the keyboard swiftly, typing in her password and sitting down on the desk chair. As she clicked on the Google Chrome icon, Albany gave her roommate a quick scan. She looked... Nice, pretty too.

Albany's face turned back to the screen in front of her, clicking on the downloads icon and scrolling through her downloads, the file had to be in here somewhere.
"Ah... Here it is." Albany sighed in relief, opening up her game file and clicking the download button on the pop-up, smiling to herself contently. She then turned to Myra with a calm expression on her face. "So, what's your power? I have electrokinesis."

Elora let out a soft, hearty breath as she sat in her car. Today was her first day at Winslow Academy. Personally, Elora thought it was strange that such a place accepted someone of her age. It wasn't like she was old, she was only at the young age of 23, but still the age range for this place was weird. The only reason she had even applied to the college was for the probability that she could control her second power. Her second power was something that was dangerous and foreign to her. She was unable to control it and quite frankly, she wasn't sure how to use it.

Always remember that you are special. So very special. Don't ever give up before the battle even starts.

Her grandfather's voice echoed in her head and she couldn't help but smile softly. She nodded to herself, opening the car door and slowly stepping out. If she had to be completely honest, she was nervous as hell. There were so many people around her. So many people that she could potentially hurt. At that thought, she shook her head to dismiss it. Her mind and heart were racing but her face shown no sign of what was going on inside. On the outside she stood tall, had a grin on her face, and looked everyone in the eye as she passed.

The drive to the Academy was a long one for her but she didn't mind it. On the way, she got to mess with passing cars. She'd catch someone staring at her and right before their eyes, she'd shape shift into a different person. The look on the passer by's face was always priceless. When she pulled into the school, however, she decided to go with her natural look. The face and body she was given at birth.

Elora watched as she passed multiple people who were showing off how "cool" their powers were to one another. She couldn't help but to smile at the sight. She wished she could show people her powers like that. All she could do was turn into someone different and crush others. Not very cool if you asked her. Elora made her way past people and to her dorm. She remembered the number, floor, and everything weeks after she was accepted.

"Hey! Watch out!" she heard someone yell at her. When she turned to look at where the warning came from, she was met with a fireball to the face. This freaked the girl out, causing her to drop her bags and quickly shield her face. She heard the guy run up to her and put his hand on her shoulder. He was apologizing profusely but when she looked up, he looked surprised. In a matter of seconds, Elora's face was no longer skin but a shiny crystal. It was something she saw on tv, ok? Don't judge her. In a matter of seconds, her face was back to its fleshy self. She smiled up at the guy and grinned. He wasn't so bad looking.

"My bad. I got distracted by how pretty you were." he told her, helping her up and picking up her bags. Elora laughed softly and tucked a piece of brown hair behind her ear. "Do you always launch fireballs at girls you think are pretty? That's pretty dangerous." she said as she grabbed her bags, beginning to walk and noticing that he was walking beside her.

"Not usually, you're the first." he grinned at her and internally, Elora rolled her eyes.

"I feel special now, thanks. I've got to go put my things up in my dorm. How about you get me something to drink so when I come back down, we can talk more?" she asked him and she saw a glimmer in his eyes. He quickly obliged and went off to go get a drink. Elora smiled as she watched him go, knowing that she wasn't about to talk to him anymore. Maybe she'd take the drink and make him look elsewhere while she changed her appearance and left without him noticing.

"Easiest one so far." she said to herself as she made her way to where she'd be living for the year. She opened the door and saw that one part was already claimed so she took the other side. Elora sat her things where they needed to go. Clothes in the closet, posters on the wall, jewelry on the mirror, make-up on the vanity counter, and her bed sheets on her bed.

"I should change." she said to herself, considering she was in her sleepwear because she was too lazy to change. Elora grabbed some
clothes and changed, putting her hair in a messy ponytail and deciding to head back down to where she saw a garden. She decided to explore it and see if she could take the form of a statue. All gardens have statues, right? Elora's eyes seemed to shine brightly when she found herself wander into what looked like a "secret" garden. There were so many flowers, that if one was far away it would look like weeds.

"Amazing." she breathed out, walking slowly through the man made aisles. She bent down ever so slightly when she walked so she could feel the flower petals graze her fingertips. The smell of the place was a mild sweet smell that reminded her of her grandmother.

"I'll do my best to make you proud, abuela. For abuelo and Cesar too. I'll make you all proud." she said to herself, standing up straight and smoothing out what wrinkles she had gotten in her outfit. She continued to walk until she came across a
statue of a lion. Elora stopped and looked at the lion, observing it before shaking her head.

"I can't shift into animals." she said with a laugh, deciding to stop and sit down with the lion until something interesting came along.

"Last night was so fun. I'm going to miss you, Ben."

"I know! That womans face when we ran into her in the hall..." Benjamin laughed, getting breakfast from a popular Maine hotel called Rockwell Hotel with his best friend Saria. He was getting pancakes, fruit, and milk. "She wanted our souls from the look she gave us."

After the pair got their breakfast, they sat down together to eat before Saria and her mother would drive Benjamin to Winslow Academy. Fortunately, they live in New Hampshire, and didn't have too far to travel the day before. As they ate, Benjamin scanned the room, not many people were eating breakfast. He figured with the breakfast being free to all guests, it would be a mad house in here this morning. He then focused his gaze on his best friend, smiling softly to himself. "I love you, girl," he started, setting his fork down, "I'm a little nervous, not gonna lie. You better call me tonight."

"You'll be fine. You won't want to talk on the phone, silly. Imagine all the different students you will meet." Saria rose, quickly filling her cup with more orange juice and returning to their table. She brushed off a sudden feeling of envy. A part of her longed to be gifted like Benjamin, but she never felt the need to express this to him.

Once they were finished, they got into the elevator and arrived on the third floor. The hotel was decorated with maroon colored carpets, dark wood furniture, and gold floral wallpaper. As they passed the familiar landscape painting next to their room, Saria's mother opened the door first. "Finally! Are you guys ready?" She was a petite woman with brown hair, yet her daughter had red hair. Placing her hands on her hips, she looked at Saria and then at Benjamin while she stepped aside for them. "Oh, you guys... I'm taking a picture before we go."

- - - - - - - - - - - -

As the group arrived before Winslow Academy, they were all distracted by the grand building before them. Saria's mother opted to take a few pictures, although she was hoping Benjamin would bring home some photographs, as well. Parking the vehicle, Benjamin was the first out of the car. He breathed deeply before walking to the back of the car and pulling out his luggage. Saria appeared next to him, her eyes glimmering. "I'm walking you to the gate. I wanna see if I can see any hott mutant guys!" She giggled, skipping over to the cement path and waiting anxiously for Benjamin.

"This girl..." he muttered under his breath, shaking his head and shutting the trunk. Saria's mother then got of her vehicle, embracing her "son" in her arms. She kissed his cheek, releasing him to make eye contact. "I love you, take pictures, and no funny business, either."

"I'll call you guys. Love you, too."

Joining Saria, she was one step ahead of him, her mouth uncontrollably left open. She slowed to link arms with Benjamin, causing him to grip his luggage a little tighter. "Careful, geez," he said, glancing around the campus, "aw, looks like there are no hotties to be seen." With a wicked grin on his face, he put his bags down when they reached the grand entrance. He hugged his friend tightly, talking into her ear. "Be good to your mom, you really bite her head off sometimes."

"Yeah, yeah," she muffled, letting him go and smiling, "now get in there, Earth Boy."

Watching Saria and her mother drive away, he turned and walked swiftly toward the academy with his luggage. He grunted softly, realizing he missed an important speech that was held by the headmaster most likely. Unzipping one of his bags, he pulled out his acceptance letter with the informative brochure. Gathering himself once more, the young man followed some new faces into the most beautiful place he has ever seen. Walking past several woman statues, he admired them. Finding his dormitory, he was just about to walk inside when he heard birds singing, making noises he was unfamiliar with. He closed his eyes, listening.

Lilith offered a small smile to the other two students. She wasn't a friendly person, but she felt a little sorry for Kate, truthfully. It had to suck being in an entirely different time period than you were used to.
"Hey, Kate. Hey, Raymond." She greeted the them. "Feel free to join me." She responded, though she was enjoying her alone time. Just her and the shadows.

She smiled at Kate's delight and nodded in response to Raymond.
"A little bit of both, I guess. I can draw them another dimension, but it's a little more intense so I do it sparingly." She demonstrated by drawing an extra dark shadow forth, with a human shape. The shape was surrounded by what looked like black flames. It bowed to Kate with flourish before dancing around the space. It gave a wave before she released it back to it's own dimension. "I can do a lot with the power, it's fun to experiment."

Lilith had spent a lot of time practicing her abilities. Her favorite thing to do was adjust gravity. She became her own little black hole, which was all kinds of cool. Teleportation was fun too, but that was another story.
"How's the student body treating you thus far?" She asked. "Let me know if anyone's mean to you." Kate was technically family, and despite her general disdain for her family, she was going to look out for the other girl.
