- Half an hour Earlier -
Haruka Aikyo was enjoying a peaceful stroll along the streets of Osaka at that morning. Class at AA hadn’t started yet and he had to come up with any reason within his logic to actually get out of the house every now and then, even if it was just to enjoy the hot weather and the scenery. What started out peaceful, however, quickly became quite unusual when he overheard someone shouting just around the corner:
“He escaped?" The voice asked. “How can you be so dumb! Oh, right, your frontal lobes are underdeveloped. Damn shame. Well, you better fix this matter immediately, fools! Find some other boy, make him use the costume and be sure to tie him up real good. Go!”
Haruka stopped dead in his tracks. Could this be a dream? A nightmare, to be more precise. If they really were a villain, he should probably scream, call the police, or just run. Or perhaps all three of those simultaneously. But if it weren’t and it was all a misunderstanding, he would risk giving trouble to the other person…
Such indecision turned out to be Haruka’s demise.
Around the corner, two immense figures emerged and started to stumble into the street. Those things were too huge, too deformed and putrid and inhuman to be a human, even one who had ended up at the short end of the quirk stick. No, those were effective undead monstrosities heading his way. Haruka froze completely, staring at them-wide eyes and shaking nervously as they reached him, and finally blacked out from stress.
- Present time -
Haruka woke up again sitting down. He found himself tied up to a pole atop a really large building, one that looked like a tower, and further away he could make out a familiar building… Was that WCA, that horrid low-grade school that was rumored to not actually graduate any heroes? And that shape peeking out at the top of his sight, was it a helicopter hat they had placed in his head? What on Earth was he doing there? At that time of the year, there was but one possible explanation. Haruka was too terrified to admit it, however, and simply closed his eyes and hoped really hard to wake up in his bead without any memory of this hell.
