why do good girls like lone guys? (Blaine x Pica)

Ami's face reddened, not because she was tired, but because she got a clear view of Jono's lean and built abdomen. "E-er.. Yeah.. Good game.." She stuttered, looking away from Jono. She grabbed the towel that was on the floor as a cover up and started wiping Jono's sweat away. "Yeesh, you smell Jo!" She said, laughing. Sticking her tongue out, she quickly broke into a run so as Jono wouldn't retaliate.

"Isn't that what a male has expertise in?" he said mockingly.

She fled before he could do anything to her, not that he would. He got back into the changing rooms to shower and change before they went home. He was thinking about all those moments like just then when Ami was flustered. Should he make note of that or just ignore it as a normal female thing? He wasn't quite sure how she saw him as.

Ami then headed for the locker room, took a quick shower then change back into her clothes, closing the locker door behind her. As she got out, she saw Jono leaving the boys locker room, his back to her. Quietly and quickly, she made her way to Jono, jumping up on him as best as she could. "Boo!" She cried out, giggling like a little school girl.

He spun round with a back high kick to the neck in reflex, but stopped short of touching.

He sighed as he saw her. "Please stop sneaking up on me, its an endangerment to your life."

He walked with her home, his thoughts still occupied on how this girl viewed him.

"Aww, but your back was so big and warm!" She replied, pouting at him.

As they walked home, Ami saw the three guys that followed her before and immediately clung to Jono's arm, somewhat shaking.

"I-it's cold.. I just.. Wanted to keep warm a bit.." She said, hoping Jono would believe her excuse.

"If you say so."

His broad back kept her small frame actually rather well hidden. The boys walked quite the distance from them too though, not wanting to be mutilated again like last time. They may not have seen him properly at the time, but they recognised the voice.

He wondered whether to head straight home. The weather was nice and he felt like sitting on a field of flowers or something.

As they continued walking, Ami's hand loosened it's grip on his shirt and went down to his hand, holding it tightly. She lightly tugged at his shirt from behind, hoping to get his attention. "Jono...?" she called out, as he seemed like he was deep in thought. "I... Uhm... Thank you..." She murmured, looking up at him, a weak smile on her face.

He raised an eyebrow. He got used to the hand-holding, giving up fussing about its meaning, it more at her thanking.

"Not to worry." He said in a nice tone as he smiled back and walked with her.

They reached the busy part of the city as they walked. Cars coming from both sides, crowds of people chattering about, even the ssounds of kids and babies, crying and yelling for their parents, could be heard. As they waited for the green light to come on, Ami looked back up to Jono. "Hey... Jono? Are you going to do anything today...? We could.. I dunno.. Walk around..." She said, her voice getting smaller and smaller, until it fell into a whisper.

He smiled as they crossed. "Sure, I'd be glad to. But I'm not sure where to, even with weather the favourable. I don't go out often after all."

Smiling back at Jono, Ami's walk was added with a little skip. Letting go of Jono's hand, she began walking infront of him, albeit walking backwards. "We could go anywhere! The city's full of places we could go to!" She said to him, spinning around, then turning back to walking backwards.

He chuckled at her rather enthusiastic exclamation.

"That is very true. Well you probably know better than me, so why not guide me?" He said as he walked to her side.

Turning back to face the front, Ami grabbed Jono's hand and began showing him around the town. From the malls to the buildings and finally to the park, the two of them were now resting in the park, Ami was sotting down on the grass as Jono was beside her. "I'm so tired!" She exclaimed, falling back to lay on the ground.

Rolling to her side, she faced Jono who was beside her. "I'm sorry I dragged you around the whole city... We did nothing but walk around for 3 hours.. I hope I didn't tire you out," she said apologetically.

He laid next to her on the grass, not quite as tired.

"No its fine, I got to see a lot I usually don't."

He smiled and looked at the sky. There were only a few clouds in the blue sky and sun shone down on them. Jono closed his eyes and let the heat warm his face quite nicely.

"I'm glad you had fun." She said, a smile on her face. As they both laid there, Ami began feeling sleepy. When she gets tired, she eventually falls asleep. She crawled closer to Jono, tried getting warmer and ultimately falling fast asleep. "Mnggh.." She murmured, placing one hand over Jono's chest.

Jono smiled and chuckled slightly, it was though Ami was a cat. He swore she almost purred with one of the more sleepy noises.

He put an arm around her and continued laying on the grass, not wanting to disturb her moment of peace. Now this definitely would be a moment if witnessed that would spawn rumours.

After what seemed like hours, Ami finally woke up. Rubbing her eyes, she found it to be dark around her. She looked up to find Jono looking down on her, his arm wrapped around her. "U-uhm.. Sorry.. I kinda fell asleep.. And uh.." She said, a blush on her face.

"No worries. You're warm and comfortable so I don't mind."

He looked at her face which was beet red. Though to be fair it seemed reasonable at this situation.

As Ami sat up, she brushed of the little pieces of grass that stuck to her clothing. Looking to her watch, she noticed that it was almost 8, her parents should be home by 10. She faced Jono, her face still bight red. "S-should we g-get home..?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I guess we should...even if I don't feel like it."

He looked at the sky and stared into the endless sky. It was fun being with Ami and he didn't really want to go home.

"W-well.. You could come over.. If you like.. I mean.. We don't have school tomorrow.. And well.." She stammered and stuttered, her blush deepening. "I mean... If you want to.. I.. Well.." She added, the words not coming out right.

He chuckled again. This was just too much.

"Of course. I wouldn't say no to that."

He also sat up and brushed his clothes off.

As Ami got up, she continued to brush some pieces of grass oh her skirt.

She looked around for her bag, found it behind her, at her feet, bent down to pick it up and brushed some ants off it.

Ami turned back to Jono and smiled. "Well? Shall we go?"

"Okay."

He walked what was basically home for the both of them, so both knew exactly which way to go to get home. It was rather practical.

As always, Ami held Jono's hand as they walked back to her home. As they got there, the lights were closed, a sign that her parents weren't home yet. Unlocking the front door, they got inside. Ami flicked the light switch on and placed her bag on the counter.

"Well, what do you wanna do? Are you hungry? We could order pizza or something.. We could also watch a movie.. Or maybe just talk.. Uhm.." She said, realizing that she was talking on and on.
