why do good girls like lone guys? (Blaine x Pica)

After a few moments, Ami woke up just as the food was served. "Jono..?" she murmured, rubbing her eyes. She looked up to find Jono looking down at her. She smiled and placed a kiss on his lips. "Good morning." she said to him, a smile on her face.

While the two were in their own little world, Christian cleared his throat. "Good morning, princess. It looks like you had a wonderful sleep... and an even better wake up." He said to his daughter, a smirk on his face, causing Ami to blush early in the morning. Emily had finished setting the table, walking over to her husband's side and playfully slapping his chest. "Oh you, let them be." She told him, then looked to the kids. "Well, breakfast is ready. I suggest you get off Jono now, Ami." She said, a smile on her face.

"Well I'll struggle to eat with you on me." He said in a chuckle as he had Ami get off his legs and walked with Ami to the table and going over to the food.

Looks like it was time to see between mother and daughter who was better at their cooking.

"Sorry about that, Jono.. I might have been heavy.." she murmured, as she walked beside him, holding onto his hand.

She looked across the array of food that her mother laid on the table. "Nice mommy, looks good! But not better than me though." Ami said, chuckling lightly. Emily in turn, laughed a little. "Oh honey, I've had more experience than you." She said, smiling at them.

Christian was the only one sitting at the table. Obviously not hungry. "Are you just going to stand there? Come on and eat!" He cried out, placing food on his plate.

Emily took a seat beside Christian, giggling at her husband. "Well Jono, we have egg's benedict, french toast, a chocolate and raspberry brioche and some bacon and pancakes. We have tea, water, coffee and juice, so go ahead, dig in!" Emily said to him.

"Actually you're pretty light." He commented as she held his hand.

Jonathan ate away at the food which was pleasant. It was actually nice and at probably an equal level to his daughter. The breakfast filled him nicely as he ate a good amount.

"Thank you for the food."

"You're welcome, Jono." Emily said, a smile on her face. "I hope you enjoyed your meal." She added, rather pleased with herself. As they finished eating, Ami stood up to clean up the table.

"Oh, princess no. We'll take care of this." Christian intervened, stopping Ami from what she was doing. "You go have fun with your boyfriend." He said, winking at her. Ami then blushed madly at this. "Daddy.. It's so early! Stooop!" She whined, play hitting at her father. Ami then looked to Jono, her blush not fading. "W-well..? A-are you busy today..?"

He chuckled at the family shenanigans of the morning. "I don't mind what we do, we git a day to ourselves."

"Well.. Shouldn't we change into something more... Comfortable..?" Ami asked, gesturing to their outfits, as they were both still in their uniforms. "You go home and change, Jono." She said, smiling at him. Placing a kiss on his lips, Ami giggled a little. "You wouldn't want to seem like you just got out of school, do you?"

He chuckled on her remark of attire. She wasn't wrong by any means.

"I always wear this kind of clothing though, so that makes little difference to me. I suppose you should go change though." He grinned as he poked Ami's shoulder to point out her clothing.

If she did go to get changed, he would go sit on the sofa and wait for her, for to follow her might end up with a pillow thrown at his face.

"Well, if you say so." Ami replied, pinching Jono's nose as she ran up to her room. As she closed the door, she then realized that it was her first date. An actual first date. She then proceeded to panic.

Running to her closet, she began rummaging through her clothes. "What should I wear? Something cute? Something elegent? Something sexy? Oh dear no. She then began to panic.

Downstairs was a much more calm place, as Christian washed the dishes, Emily walked up to Jono, taking a seat near him. "So, Jono. How did you and Amelia meet, anyway? She hardly talks about her friends at school, so it's good to know that she finally has someone to look out for her." She said, smiling at him.

"Yes it is nice I suppose." He said with a smile. Having a friend (well, more than that) who actually meant something could only be good for her.

"Well...circumstances and chance just happened to favour us you could say. Most things in life are unplanned, and this was one of them."

Jono was clearly rather lax like the rest of the downstairs, enjoying the slow pace.

After a good ten minutes, Ami had finally chosen an outfit. She wore her favorite baby blue doll dress, which came up to above her knees, and a pair of sandals. She also wore her big hat, the ones usually seen at the beach, as it was sunny outside.

Looking at herself once more in the mirror, Ami smiled and grabbed a small bag, placing her house keys, phone and wallet into it. Walking out of her room, she began descending the stairs, seeing Jono talking with her mom. "Mommy! I hope you're not telling Jono anything weird about me!" She cried out, walking over to them.

As Emily and Jono were having a nice chat, she heard the door to Ami's room close. "Ah, here she comes." She said, to Jono, and sure enough, here came Ami worried that her mother might have been embarrasing her to her boyfriend. "We only had a nice little talk, dear. Nothing to worry about." She said, smiling at her daughter. "Isn't that right, Jono?"

"Yeah it was nothing weird." He smiled as she came down the stairs. It was funny how Ami concerned herself that her mum was embarrassing her. He remembered a sticker which said 'If you aren't embarrassing your children then you're not having fun'.

He got up and walked to Ami, giving her a kiss.

"So where are we going?"

Smiling at Jono, Ami wrapped her arms around Jono, being only able to hug his torso. "Anywhere's fine, Jono." She said, looking up at him. Christian was finished with the dishes as he heard Jono's question. "There's a carnival in town, near the pier. Why don't you two love birds go over there?" He offered, a cheeky grin on his face.

"Carnival?" Ami repeated excitedly, her eyes lighting up. She then composed herself, trying not to show Jono her childish side. "I-I mean... A carnival..? Sounds cool.." She said, failing at her cover up. She then looked back to Jono. "Do you want to go?" She asked him, hoping that he said yes.

He chuckled at her attempt to seem like she was hiding her excitement.

"Of course we can go." He was interested to see what they would do there.

The weather was nice so it looked like a good day to go.

"Shall we be off then?"

Ami smiled as Jono agreed. "Yes please! I.. Uh.. Mean.. Sure.. Yeah.. Let's go." She said once again, hiding her exciting. She kissed both her parents good bye, giving them both a hug in the process. "Bring her back anytime you wish, Jono!" Christian called out, a chesire grin on his face.

As they walked out of Ami's house, she grabbed a hold of Jono's hand as they began their walk to the pier.

"I wonder how big it will be. I haven't been to one since I was a little kid." He wondered about his childhood memories as they walked. He hadn't been to one in ages.

"So have I.." Ami replied, smiling happily as they walked hand in hand. "We used to go to the carnival so much that we practically lived there." She added, laughing at her old memories. Luckily, the pier wasn't that far away from her house, it was close if you cut through the park.

They got to the carnival within a 40 minute walk, chatting away as they did. Ami gasped in happiness, the memories of their trips to the carnival flooding her head. "Jono look! A carousel! Ah! Look! A mirror house! Oh look, look! A roller coaster! Jonoo!!" She cried, out letting go of Jono's hand as she entered the carnival, obviously excited.

The rather enjoyful chat got cut short by an exuberant Ami who dashed off into the carnival skipping. She certainly seemed to be enjoying herself.

He laughed slightly and Jono walked after to wherever she went. He idn't know about her, but he was fine with movement and heights, so wouldn't feel queasy from any of the rides.

"I'll let you drag me anywhere if that's of any consolation."

Ami's smile widened as Jono agreed that they could go anywhere. They entered the mirror house, rode the carousel, waited in line and managed to ride the rollercoaster. They played the carnival games and even won a few. It was fun, being with Jono. Playing for hours, they managed to go around the whole carnival.

"I had a lot of fun today, Jono." She said, smiling at him, holding his hand as they walked. They reached the ferris wheel, the last ride they hadn't rode on. "Can we get on?" She asked him, looking up at him.

Jono carried a bag containing carnival game prizes they had won.

He smiled, she was like a child asking for things from a parent. It was rather amusing to watch even after all the fun they just had.

"Sure."

Tapatalk ahoy!

"Yippee!" She cried out, hugging Jono. She let go as they proceeded walking to the ferris wheel. As they reached the giant wheel, Ami looked up in awe of it. They got in line as they waited for their turn the ride.

After a few minutes they finally got on, Ami getting in first as she waited for Jono.

Jono waited patiently in the line. It was after all a popular attraction.

When they got in, Jono sat next to Ami and put the bags down beside him. He hugged Ami with an arm.

Ami rested her head on Jono's shoulder, getting comfortable. "This has been a fun day.." She murmured, looking out at the setting sun outside. "Thank you, Jono. For agreeing to come here." She told him, looking up at him, a smile on her face.

The ferris wheel began to move up as she spoke.

"It's alright. We had a lot of fun together."

He gave her a kiss and hugged her with both arms. Her body was warm and comfortable.

Ami turned red as Jono kissed her, engulfing her in his arms. Ami returned the gesture by wrapping both her arms around his neck. "I wish this day wouldn't end.." She murmured, her head nuzzled in the crook of his neck. "I feel.. Safe.." she added, a smile on her face. She looked up to him, and kissed him on the lips. She then turned away, her blush deepening.
