why do good girls like lone guys? (Blaine x Pica)

"Time to see what we have on today." He chuckled as Jonathan shifted himself so to be looking at the teacher and listen to their lesson. The timing almost seemed to rescue her from her rather flustered situation, be it good or bad.

He got his books and pencilcase out to start learning whatever they would.

As time passed by, class was already finished and time came for their lunch break. Ami looked to Jono, a smile on her face. "Hey, Jono. Wanna have lunch together? I usually eat alone." She told him, playing with the hem of her skirt. She got out her wallet from her bag and stood up, standing in front of Jono's desk. "And besides, it's fun being near you." She added, smiling at him.

Jonathan raised an eyebrow.

"Surely Little miss Popular have people to eat with? Or are they that superficial?"

He got up and took his wallet out of his pocket from his black jeans and walked beside Ami.

He wondered what made him fun, seeing how calm and quiet a person he was.

"I do.. They're just not really.. real friends, you know?" She said, walking beside him, making their way to the canteen.

As they reached the canteen, clusters of people crowded around Ami and Jono. "Ami! Ami! Eat with us!" "No! Eat with us!" "Are you stupid? She's eating with us!" they all shouted out, fighting over Ami. Ami, in turn, clinged onto Jono's arm. "I'm sorry guys, I already said I'd eat with Jono today. Maybe next time?" She offered, walking past the group of people and into the canteen.

Jonathan towered over the people while letting Ami cling to her, bringing out his full broad shoulder width and height. He didn't usually show his full size, but it seemed the best way to do it.

"Stop being annoying little bugs and piss off." He spoke in a calm but almost death-threat like manner.

One large boy filled with ego thought otherwise, going "You what mate?! You're nothing you lanky shit!".

The moment they charged at Jono and came close though he suddenly seemed to be flying straight into a wall face first. It was relatively easy, merely guiding his clumsy heavy brute weight into a different direction. The other boys took the hint and some girls gasped, having never known just how strong/skilled Jonathan was, seeing as people usually ignored him as he was usually withdrawn.

Ami looked to the male that was now kissing the wall. "Jono, did you really have to do that?" she asked him, laughing. She wasn't used to this kind of person but still found it somewhat amusing, knowing that Jono could protect her. They reached the counter that had all the food on it. "Oohh! Look! They have pasta!" Ami squeeled, grabbing the plate of pasta and putting it on her tray along with some iced tea. "You gonna eat anything Jo? she asked him, looking up to his tall figure.

"Well it was the wall or us. I opted for him to have physical relation-building with the wall."

He walked on to the counter and grabbed also a plate of pasta and a bottle of apple fruit juice along with a cherry yoghurt. He afterwards paid for the food and waited on Ami.

"Well, let's hope he and the wall share a long lasting relationship." Ami told him, laughing slightly as she paid for her food. Walking over to Jono's side, Ami scanned the room for a free table. She found one near the window, no one was sitting in it. "Come on, found a table!" She called out to him, walking ahead until she reached the table, setting the tray down.

"I'll be sure to attend the wedding reception." He said as he walked with Ami across the canteen looking for a seat.

When Ami had found a table, he walked along with and placed his food down to eat and sat opposite Ami.

He waited on Ami and would begin eating in a moment.

Ami sat down across from Jono and began eating her pasta. "How's the school been for you so far?" she asked, finding nothing else to talk about while eating. 'Seriously? Can you get any more dumber?' Her conscious said to herself, mentally slapping her in the process. "I.. I mean.. Um.. Nevermind.." She murmured, continuing to eat, embarrassed yet again.

"You sound like a scatterbrained tour guide." He chuckled as he ate his food.

"And go any more red and people will think your head is bleeding."

That statement was probably not going to help her blushing.

"Also how did you end up getting so many superficial friends, but only just recently me as a proper one? Are people that shallow?"

Ami chuckled lightly at Jono. "I guess I am somewhat scatterbrained." She replied, her blush deepening. "You do know you're not helping with my blushing self, right?" She added, laughing a hearty laugh. "My friends..? Well, I learned over the years that I can't trust everyone that gives me a smile. I'd rather befriend someone who's honest, someone who's not afraid to tell me something honestly." she said, looking down on her food, somewhat down herself.

"Honest smiles are far and few. Its why I don't smile often."

He continued eating his food. She must be one of the few people who smiled a lot and honestly too. This was certainly going far better than he had imagined.

"So what will you do when you finish school then? I'm thinking for myself physics at university level."

"When I finish?" Ami repeated. She thought for a bit, finishing her meal. "Maybe take up a culinary course. It is my passion." She said, taking a sip of her iced tea. "Physics, huh? Sounds hard.." She said, a small smile on her face. "Given I'm not good in Physics to start with.." she added, chuckling.

"And there's the issue that you reach a point in physics where they go 'You know that stuff you learnt and school? We lied!' and such."

He did hand gestures to emphasise his point. It was true as well. A lot of physics learnt goes out the window and replaced with more complicated but closer to the truth stuff.

"Well I look forward to being your food tester."

"I look forward to you eating my food, then." She replied. "And that thing about physics is true.. Either it's getting harder and harder. Or I'm getting dumber and dumber." she added, her hands flailing around.

As they finished lunch, it was now time for gym class, something Ami somewhat looked forward to at times. "They say we're going to play basketball today, do you know how to play?" she asked him.

"A better question would be who doesn't know how to play?"

Basketball was a rather well-known sport. Jonathan usually didn't play though at gym class because he was busy with martial arts lessons. Since his teacher was on holiday this was one of the few times people would see him play.

He walked with Ami to the gym having put away his empty tray.

"Well, I guess we should go and change into our pe uniforms, right?" She said, walking over to the girls' locker room, changing into her uniform, which was somewhat revealing. As she got clothed, she scanned herself in the mirror. The shirt was too tight, while the shorts were really.. Short.

She quietly went out of the room and out onto the gym, her hair tied up and falling in line, along with the other girls and guys. "Ok, class! Today we're doing a guy versus girl match today!" The gym teacher yelled. "Everyone get into groups of five! Quickly!"

Jonathan thought the clothes were designed by perverts, as the male ones were tight on him as well with no sleeves and short shorts.

It gave also odd looks from people to him. As aforementioned, he never usually went to PE lessons due to his martial arts. His tightly knotted lean muscle was visible on his body, more so by these clothes. It gave him several looks of "wow he's built" or "he looks scary".

He walked to Ami was along with three others who could get there, probably rushing there so they could be with Miss popular.

Jono put a hand on the side of his neck and cracked it, his shoulder muscle visible as it tensed.

Ami looked to Jono and blushed, again. He had never seen him wearing something like... That. She never knew he was so lean and well built. Walking over to him, she quickly grabbed at his upper arm and smiled. "We're going to be enemies, huh?" She asked, as four other girls came up to her, asking her to be in their team.

She looked back to Jono and smiled. "Well, good luck." She said, before squeezing his arm and walking over to the coach to give them the names of people in their group.

"Ok class! First group will be Emily's versus Michael's! Those in their groups get ready!" The teacher cried out.

Some ordinary boys were with Jono, obviously intimidated by his build. He walked to the centre of the court and stood in front of the person leading their team. He cracked some of his body and was ready for them to set off, looking over his shoulders to ensure his team was doing the right thing. They looked to be in their own self-decided positions, which he was fine with.

"Let's roll."

As Ami looked to her team, she noted that most of the guys were looking at the girls. She also took note that these girls have never played basketball in their entire lives. 'Great... Our asses will be handed back to us...' Her conscious thought, earning a mental slap from Ami.

Ami then looked to Jono and smiled. "Good luck." She mouthed, before the whistle was blown, signalling the start of the game.

And as Ami had foreseen, they swept the girl team away. They put a fierce resistance, but the males natural advantage in height and Jono being so physically fit meant they steamrolled it.

By the end, he was sweating and wiped his face with his t-shirt using both hands, his abdominal muscle showing.

He had his hands still up the shirt still being revealing (not on purpose) as he approached Ami. "That was a good game. You made us really work for it."
