Fantasy White lilies orphanage

The warden stops drumming his fingers on the desk as he has an idea. He tells the children that, since they're both new, they'll get off easy as long as they fix the wall. On the east side of the building, near where the washing lines are, part of the stone wall is starting to crack. Its high, daunting, and keeps the children caged inside the garden. The orphanage was going to hire someone to fix it, but since these children have nothing to do - he starts drumming his fingers again, staring them down - they can fix it. Cement and bricks have already arrived and are at the front of the house. This way, he says, it will be cheaper. Before they can reply, he holds up a finger, and points to each of them aggressively. They are not to eat until they finish. He then dismisses them with a flippant wave of his hand. Row openly scowls.

Ember got up and left quickly as soon as he was dismissed. "Fixing the wall doesn't sound too hard." He mumbled looking out the window clutching onto Zoey. He thought about using his ability but then he shook his head, 'this is suppose to be a punishment' he thought 'it wouldn't be one if its not hard.' He thought walking down the stairs to get started. He had already eaten but he didn't want this to take longer than it would because he wasn't sure if Ziey had eaten or not.

Row catches up with the child as he continues down the stairs. Falling into step with him, she glances down at him. He looks young, too young for a job like this. She could do it by herself, but a wall that big would take time. "Its a pretty big wall, I dunno, kid… Don't suppose you've made any friends that could help us?" Its not like the warden specifically said they couldn't get help. "Oh, I'm Row by the way. You're new here, right?"

Polonsky

Polonsky suddenly appeared next to Row and Ember, walking beside them. He looked at them both and leaned over to Row. "So, what are you in for?" He asked row, in a stereotype prisoner voice. He chuckled a bit, putting his hands behind his back, pretending he had handcuffs.

"I'm Ember." He said looking up at her "I've made one friend but she just finished her chores so I don't really want her to exhaust herself anymore than she already has." He said thinking about Amy and wondering if she was still in the kitchen or not. "Re building a wall." Ember said looking back at Polonsky as he appeared.

"Good to meet you, Ember. Well, maybe we can get others to-" She jumps as Polonsky appears next to them, giving him a side-long glare. Abruptly, she smiles, copies his handcuff stance and leans over. "Well, I could tell you…" She says, mirroring his prisoner impression, "Or, you could help the kid and me, just a bit, and then I'll tell you."

"Well great!" He said in his normal kiddish voice. "I was actually in the room the entire time, so I know what you're doing. Listen, I'll fix up that wall, you two go eat and avoid the Warden. Course there is a catch." He looked at them both. "You'll owe me, course I don't know what right now... But don't worry, I'll make it look sloppy so it looks like you did it. You'll also need to tell me why you were taken by Monsieur Warden." He did a salute and suddenly levitated back, slowly disappearing and showing off.

Sam walked into the orphanage holding Izzy close and looking around nervously *what if no one likes me* he thought *Or what if they think Izzys stupid* he held Izzy closer as the headmaster guided me to my room to put my stuff down. i walked towards my bed and set down my black blanket and izzy.

Polonsky hung from his upside-down legs off the bunk above his, "Ah, hello good sir!" He smiled at him, as he always did. "Well, welcome to Alcatraz! You're personal hell." He jumped down from the bunk. "Looks like we're bunk buddies. I'm Polonsky, Prison comedian!" He put his arm over him in a friendly manner, "And whats you're name, Shaggy?"

Polonsky hung from his upside-down legs off the bunk above his, "Ah, hello good sir!" He smiled at him, as he always did. "Well, welcome to Alcatraz! You're personal hell." He jumped down from the bunk. "Looks like we're bunk buddies. I'm Polonsky, Prison comedian!" He put his arm over him in a friendly manner, "And whats you're name, Shaggy?"

Suddenly some boy jumped from the bunk above him and began talking but Sam didn't hear what he had said because he had become a shadow and he had hid under the bed. he recognized only one thing that he said "Oh m-my names Samuel" he stammered still a shadow under the bed

Polonsky leaned down and looked under the bed. "Nice ability! Well we have something in common, we're demons." Polonskys' red eyes fixed on his shadow. "Nice powers anyway, you seem too... Shy, to be a demon anyway, its like if you've never met ANYONE before." He stood back up and climbed back on his bed and hung his head off the bed, looking down at the very small part of him not under the bed.

"Huh… That was easy." She watches him disappear into thin air, wondering how he was going to manage that on his own. "Oh yeah, he can just teleport the bricks to and from the site, right? Even so, we ought to go over there for a bit and at least pretend we're working. It's just down these stairs, and out the door." Whatever he was going to ask for would no doubt land them in trouble, but she'd just have to take it upon herself. She was the one who suggested it, she thinks guiltily, so Ember shouldn't have to do it. Feeling guilty, she looks away and stretches her arms out, ready to sleep after almost two days spent mostly awake.

Polonsky leaned down and looked under the bed. "Nice ability! Well we have something in common, we're demons." Polonskys' red eyes fixed on his shadow. "Nice powers anyway, you seem too... He stood back up and climbed back on his bed and hung his head off the bed, looking down at the very small part of him not under the bed.

Cautiously Sam became normal and came out from under the bed "y-your a demon t-too?" he stammered grabbing Izzy and holding him close.standing up looking up at Polonsky"what k-kind are you" he asked sitting down on his bed

Ember watched as the warden took a boy upstairs looking about a year older than him to his room. He didn't mean to but he listened in on their conversation being silent. If he said anything right now then the new kid and Polonsky would here him in their mind. He looked up at the older girl and nodded.

Row glances back down at Ember, and follows his gaze. "Hey, you wanna go say hi? We probably have a bit of time whilst that Warden cleans coffee out of his hair." She snorts in laughter. "Good one, by the way. We'll have to go to the wall eventually, though…" She looks down at his bear curiously, but doesn't say anything about it. He looks so small, its probably best not to bring up anything that could be sensitive.

Sam heard voices and jumped startled again and became a shadow. he quickly hid inside Polonsky's shadow leaving izzy on the floor.He noticed izzy on the floor and grabbed its shadow pulling it close which also pulled izzy close

Ember shook his head violently. He had already met four new people including the warden, he didn't think he was ready to meet yet another new person, Zoey thought the same. He held in to Zoey tightly watching where he was going so that he wouldn't trip.

Row put her hands up in mock surrender. "Okay, don't worry, I'm not gonna make you. Here, its out of this door." She leads him down the corridor and out of a door near the back of the house. Opening it, the outside of the orphanage is such a difference to the inside. The grey corridors littered with dust stands at a contrast to the blue sunny sky. Row can't hold back a small, earnest smile, turning her head so as not to be seen. The grass is still wet from the storm, droplets hanging off of the strands of soft green. The trees that surround the orphanage dapple the golden light onto the lawn. A strange beauty falling upon an ugly place.

Sam heard the voices leave and their footsteps become faint. sighing he quickly changed back into a person just as the warden walked into the room "ah good Samuel i'm glad you waited while i did something now come with me" he said grabbing me by the shoulder and guiding me along "oh you won't need that where your going" he said plucking izzy out of my hands and tossing it onto the floor.I whimpered as izzy hit the ground and i was guided out of the room."now listen here you will do what i say and follow my rules " the warden said looking Sam right in the eyes "Y-yes sir" sam stammered."now i want you to go outside and mow the lawn got it" growled the warden "Y-yes sir" i stammered nervously "good " the warden replied handing sam one of those small and crapy lawn mowers "now get started" the warden demanded pushing me outside and saying as the door shut "and i don't want to see even a piece of uncut grass" he yelled to me. i sighed stepping into the grass and quickly realizing i wasn't alone.

Polonsky watched the Warden take him away and throw the lizard to the ground. He waved his hand and it appeared in his hands. He put it on his bed and put a blanket over it. So he won't be linked to this act of kindness he instantly disappeared and reappeared near the wall he promised to fix. He snapped his fingers and the wall was fixed up in a sloppy kind of way. He walked to the dining room and sat at the table.

Sam looked down at his feet refusing to make eye contact with the other people in the yard as he began mowing the lawn.*just don't look at them just don't look at them* he thought trying to ignore the other people

Ember turned around a saw a kid outside standing with a lawn mower. He quickly hid behind the bigger girl almost dropping Zoey in the process. Polonsky appeared and fixed the wall very sloppily. Ember looked and up and fixed one of the bricks that was just barely in the wall. He decided he would try to distract himself by making the wall look a bit better by mocpving the bricks into place one by one.

Sam looked up and saw the other kid who looked just a little younger than himself quickly hide behind a girl before occupying himself with fixing a wall.Hoping that the kid didn't notice him looking at him he quickly went back to looking at his feet and continuing to mow the lawn.
