Shizue.

Her eyes widened slightly, taken aback by his sudden change of attitude. Maybe she did go too far. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude." She quickly apologised, getting up from the bed. "I'll let your family in as soon as they arrive." She cupped her hands together, squeezing them slightly. She hasn't met his eyes since he looked at her with anger, she didn't dare to. Though she felt taken advantage of, she would just have to trust that he means no harm to the kingdom.

Her gaze shot back up when he shared some baseless rumours about the gods with her. Her nose flared a little, and she suddenly gained a surge of confidence to bite back at the patient. "How dare you question our god-- that our creator would abandon us?" Shizue's hands balled into fists at her side, "Your family is the most faithful out of nobility, how could you spout some nonsense, rumours no less about him! Our kingdom prides itself on our devotion to Kaia and we-- I will not waver." Her heart pounded against her chest, the adrenaline still pumping through her veins. She spun around and swam off, needing some time to cool her head. As the princess sped through the hallways, a distressed voice called for her. "Princess!"

Shizue immediately stopped in her tracks, the momentum still pulling her a little. "Madam York! I'm so glad you've arrived safely." She greeted the elderly woman.

"I've contacted all my family and not one of them are harmed or missing." Her trembling hands wrapped around the princess' small ones, "what is going on, your majesty?"

"I..." She trailed off, a loss of words to comfort the worried old lady. "Please excuse me Madam." She left the lady with guards and told them to escort her back home safely. And She asked another two more to follow her back to the infirmary room.

"You weren't rude, I just--" Oh gods. There she goes. The water lord sank in on himself almost, surprised by her outburst. Her words were so deluded, so harshly devoted; it surprised even the being she claimed to worship. He couldn't help but smirk, despite himself. While it made him nervous it was obviously pleasing to hear. It'd been so long since he felt powerful. Ironically, he was sure he'd never been less powerful than he was at that moment. "Princess, I truly didn't mean to-- Ahh, fucking whatever," he growled the sentence out aggressively, brow lowered over his eyes as he turned away from where she'd been only a few seconds prior.
Kaia knew he'd fucked up. But he couldn't help but act like a god! That's who he was! Honestly, he'd never thought it'd be so difficult to act like a lowly being, but it truly was. He was just so superior, he couldn't conceive of being anything less. Either way, he was in a horrible situation now. He groaned as his hands scrubbed his face anxiously, tail swishing back and forth. What was she going to do? What was he going to do?
And then, all of a sudden, she was back in the room. And she had guards with her. He instinctively felt his abilities spring into action, automatically attempting to use the water around them to restrain them. Of course, nothing happened but the effort knocked the wind out of him. He brought his hand up to his face to hide the way he blanched.
"Alright, princess," he breathed the words out with no small amount of effort. "You were right. I lied to you. Give me another chance to tell you the truth." He had to take a brief pause, the strain in his chest almost becoming too much. "Though you'll understand why I was reluctant to tell you."

Seraphine sighed a sigh of relief when the dragon princess complied. When Ember shifted, Seraphine couldn't help but admire the beauty of the girl's form. It wasn't flashy, but it did justice to the original creations. Hard as steel scales, a ginormous form, naturally hot flesh with razor-sharp teeth and claws. Truly a force to reckon with, just like her. Or at least, just like her in her prime. Shaking her head, Seraphine got out her thoughts when they began to get critical. "Don't mind me," she muttered as she climbed her way up Ember's head to a comfortable spot in the middle of the girl's gigantic wings. "Truly a beaut," she muttered, patting the scale that peaked through her spread legs. When Ember took off Seraphine stiffened but quickly relaxed when nostalgia hit. The flight to the Glacier Sea brought back memories of the very first time she rode on the back of one of her creations. It was such a fun time for her, it sort of made the deity sad to know the originals were all dead, now one with the Earth instead of her. Ember's land snapped Seraphine out her thoughts. With a groan, Seraphine slid down Ember's smooth wing before plopping into the sand. "Thank you," Seraphine said, her face holding a certain stoic expression. "Now, I need your - help with something else. Getting Water's attention. I have a feeling I can't create a fire big enough to be noticed all the way down there. You can though, I'm sure," she started getting close to Ember's face. "I'll give you as much fuel as I can, all I need you to do is roar and blow your beautiful flames at the water," she stated with a small smile. "Please?" she added for good measure, rubbing the girl's snout. When Ember nodded, Seraphine's eyes lit up. "Perfect!" exclaimed Seraphine jumping back some to give Ember space. "Just roar, I got the rest," murmured Seraphine closing her eyes trying to concentrate on her long-lost creation. In humans, she gave a light spark to fuel them - for her dragons she gave them a roaring fire. Once she heard a fierce roar Seraphine immediately started pulsing heat into the dragoness, doing her best to amplify the inferno inside the girl. "Breath your flames," she muttered, eyes still closed her hand now on the dragon's cheek. When Ember complied, out came blue flames which shot down into the sea, disrupting its temperature and glaciers. After a while Seraphine pulled back from Ember, exhausted. What should've been a parlor trick for Seraphine had her heaving fiercely, she was so weak she had to lean on the dragoness. Hopefully, that little fiasco got somebodies attention. jay.rain jay.rain RI.a RI.a Limerick.Grimoire Limerick.Grimoire

AMXRYLLIS AMXRYLLIS
Ezekiel walked throughout the city of Gento, although it be bare, he found peace and tranquility in just walking. Of course his time enjoying the bright blue skies and the evergreen grass wasn't meant to be due to bad relations with those two other races. Ezekiel decided to not cause a scene and break away from being in the presence of light, he entered the safety of a tavern where he was given the great pleasure of seeing a young man ordering possibly too much food. He luckily landed a seat at a table positioned close to the young man and his small group, it was only lucky because he he had an odd attraction to the young man, something about his face.

Ezekiel laid his head onto the table, only raising it to view a waiter who gracefully requests what he wishes to order. "Surprise me friend." Ezekiel replied halfheartedly, addressing the waiter as a friend rather than addressing the waiter as a stranger. While Ezekiel waited for his surprise, he took a peek at the young man who sat a table close to his. The young man was an enigma to Ezekiel, he needed to find out who he was, and why the young man appeared so oddly to him. To better his odds of finding out who the man is, Ezekiel stood up and pulled his chair to the man's table where he sat down and stared dead at the young man. What kind of book is that? Ezekiel looked down at the book the man was reading, A book on how to achieve riches? What an odd thing.

With nothing to lose, Ezekiel decided to start a conversation. "What might you be reading?" Ezekiel asked with curiosity.

Shizue.

The guards had immediately pulled the princess back and defended her, using their body as shields when they thought the stranger was going to attack. Alas, nothing happened but their swords were still drawn and at ready, waiting for the princess' orders. Her small frame could barely be seen behind the two bulky mermen, but she stayed silent for a moment. Her brows creased in thought and her bottom lip pouted a little. Should she put her trust in him again? She believed his lie, took him in and got him treated. Even though the doctors said he wasn't injured, it was for good measure to check.. Right? Shizue even tried asking him for the truth, but he gave the chance away. Why should she give him another chance? The only logical thing to do was to say no, to put him under questioning and find out who he truly is.

Just as she was about to give the command, another alarmed voice behind them called out. "Princess! Oh, what now? She turned around, allowing the guard to speak. "There's a dragon above the water! It breathed its' fire directly above the kingdom! The king and queen has ordered for you to get to safety. Please, follow me!"

"What?" Dealing with the merman imposter was out the window now. But wait-- what if? Shizue squeezed past the two guards shoulders, who were still not lowering their weapons. "I'll give you another chance. I truly do wish to help you, but please help my kingdom first. Do you have anything to do with the dragon? Can you stop it?"

The pressure in his chest gradually let up as the drama unfolded before him. He was beyond confused at first, brow furrowed and head tilted. What threat would a simple dragon pose to this underwater kingdom? His element was specifically opposed to Seraphine's. In fact, it was impressive that this apparent dragon even had the ability to create a column of flame that was even noticed in the first place. As a being who spent most time underwater yet was also best friends with the god of fire, he was well aware that it would have to be a very powerful dragon...
A powerful dragon, indeed.
His eyes lit up, his expression genuinely excited and happy since he awoke. He pushed off the bed and approached the princess, paying no heed to the guards. Though he actually wasn't sure if those weapons posed a threat to him in this state or not. "I can help you! I know exactly who this--" he stumbled over the words a bit, his grin making it too hard to speak properly, "this dragon is. She's a very good friend of mine. You'll know the truth shortly, but first, allow me to accompany you to the surface. I'll get her to calm down..." That was a lie but he couldn't exactly tell her that his and Sera's combined happiness might destroy the beach. However, that likely wouldn't be a problem as he was having enormous trouble even moving water around. Nonetheless!
With his enthusiastic cooperation, they were up to the surface in no time. By the time Kaia caught a glimpse of bright red hair and that devilish grin, he was letting out embarrassing chirps of excitement, the more animal attributes of his shining through. His head broke the surface.
"Seraphine! Sera!" He managed in-between chirps. He pulled himself up onto the beach and in the moment of adrenaline, actually managed to shift to his godly form. All black jagged stripes, venomous spines, and ripped leather coverings. He launched himself at the lord of fire, knocking them both to the sand.

The sound of an old nickname brought tears to the God's eyes. "Kai," she whispered weakly, turning to face the sea again. Seraphine didn't manage to fully get a glimpse at the other mermaids she heard because before she knew it, she was looking up at the sky. Kaia had tackled her, just like he did anytime he hadn't seen her in a while. The thought overwhelmed her and before she knew it, she was holding the other God with all her strength, sniffling, a few stray tears falling. "It's been a while Fish cheeks," she murmured. Unlike times before, she decided not to toss the soaking figure off of her instead, she embraced his rather cold touch. "Aye now, hop off we've got an audience," Seraphine ordered jokingly, referring to the dragoness behind her and the mermaids in front of her. "I'm Seraphine the Fire God if you didn't notice by now," she stated over Kaia's shoulder as she struggled to catch a glimpse of the mers before her. "Sorry for messing with your waters by the way," Seraphine murmured sincerely. She still had to be cautious, she was even weaker than before due to that little summoning of Kaia. "You're lucky you're worth it," she whispered in his ear, glancing away, not wanting to see his reaction of such a rare, sweet comment. Shizue.

Confusion. Worry. Doubt. Fear. Did I mention confusion? Shizue's mind was all over the place. Her heart was racing, her hands felt colder than ever, and she was nearly out of breath trying to follow the surprisingly energetic merman. The princess was of course followed by her two guards, both of which stuck close to her and somehow a little ahead. She reasoned it with height difference and totally not because of the clear difference in physique. She didn't need to feel any less powerful when they were heading straight to the dragon that literally breathed fire to knock on the doors of the underwater kingdom. Finally breaking the water's surface, she was a little taken aback that there really was just the one dragon, and she couldn't see any more of the winged beasts coming. She sighed in relief. At least there wasn't going to be a war. Unless this one dragon just came to deliver the message.

Her attention turned back to the dragon and the mysterious merman. The next few moments made Shizue's jaw drop open. If she blinked in those few seconds she would have missed it. The blue-skinned citizen leaped out of the water and his scales and skin turned into an exact replica of the deity she worshipped every day. "What the fuck!" The sudden outburst from the small mermaid startled the guards, making them both whip their heads in absolute horror at their princess. They had a hard time believing their ears while Shizue had a hard time wrapping her head around the whole situation.

What is she supposed to do now-- feel now? Distraught? Happy? Ok, there are two gods in front of her. One of which she nearly arrested! "I-I am so lost right now. Can someone please explain everything to me?" She had to admit that sounded a little impatient and selfish, but surely that could be understandable.

Rose .. rose .. rose, the male thought with each letter he read in his book. your shadow was your other half and that half was a tool for the elemental lord of darkness to utilize. the dark thread of his shadows connected with everyone in this room, swallowing the small flickering light which had casted their darker selves from the row of windows laid decorated right in front of the shop. and yet, still, not a single soul could provide him with the information he needed. flipping beach page of his book, cain’s face morphed into one that was sheer amusement. chaos and corruption were his source of knowledge, for under the veil of the so called justice lies a greed that is worth tearing into. to get what he wants, he’d have to crawl his ways into being the member of the rose society. plus, he was curious with the current state of the royal family today. their leadership must have fallen quite a bit if something like the rose are rising in their criminal activities ... there was a brief moment where he stopped his reading, his violet hues darkened when he saw sight of volcanic eruptions. it was quite far from the town, therefore the oozing lava wouldn’t affect the folks here too much .. the crowd was briefly stirred, their conversations halted as they observed the scene with the same curious expression as his. however, it quickly evaporated when the volcanic activities seemed to have ended .. for them, at least but not for cain. his gaze not once had left the scene, his finger tapping on the table slight for that location, he believed was where the fire lord was trapped. seraphine. ❝ it seems they’re waking one by one .. ❞ an hour had passed and jericho soon brought out his orders .. laying each plate neatly into the table. before the old woman left, he whispered in her ears to pack a few more plates for him to take with. her brows raised, her curiosity obvious and cain only gave a secretive smile, ended his conversation with, ❝ to catch a dragon, one has to lure it with a little treat, no ?❞ once more, he was given an astonished look .. but, she didn’t question him anymore which only proves his theories. humans weren’t that fawn of dragons. then again, they never did have the best relationships with the other creations .. the greats just might be an exception to this rule. the male soon began his feast, gripping onto his chicken and what ? don’t judge him. his siblings may have woken up, but there was no need for him to arrive there early and greet them. rather he’d simply be useless to them if he arrived famished and with zero information to give. his gaze soon shifted to the daring male who had made himself home over at his table, squinting at the male cautiously. cain was definitely not sharing his food. gluttons like him were very, very protective of their stash, you see.

Long hair .. pointy ears and a pair of red eyes. the boy before his had quite a pale skin, one that lacked the warmth of the sun. even cain’s own very flesh was much more tanner that his. taking a peek, the shadow this male casted was much more darker than those in the room ..tetigit per mortem,❞ he whispered, finally understanding what type of creature was standing before him. it was a mortal bless by him; his very own creations vampires. a small smile spread upon his lips as he wondered what action he should take next. answering the boy’s question with his very own, ❝before striking a conversation, shouldn’t you begin with a name first, dear stranger ? or did the art of mannerisms perished during the long passage of time ?

Iris Nigredo.

Had she been any lesser being, the Fae would have likely fled from the cave in fright. Even she, a mind barricaded against fear, could not help but shudder as the blackened creature let out a grotesque screech. Mere moments before, the key had begun to dig at the wall in a frenzy, almost as if it were obsessed with finding “it.” Iris, at the time, had not bothered to move. If it was looking for something, as a key, “it” could only be their goddess. However, the moment it viciously uncovered and reached out towards a certain spark of light, she froze.

“I … see … you.” The words were uttered like a hiss. A chilling smile and a wild gaze, they quickly tore into the key that the Fae had painstakingly accompanied. The cavern trembled as the mysterious figure made its complete appearance, with Iris staring on dazedly at the quick succession of events that would transpire. By the time the woman in black ate the key and promptly passed out, the only reaction the Fae managed to respond to was catching the person before her.

Sitting herself down but still holding on to the unfamiliar yet familiar form in her arms, Iris stared at the woman long and hard. This person was weak. At just a glance, Iris could gauge that this mysterious woman was not much stronger than the maggots that came sniffing for the Fae’s treasure...yet her light was somehow pure. It was faded and mixed in with something strange—perhaps a result of eating the fragment—but still incredibly pure. In fact, it was the purest that she had ever seen in her thirty-three years on this earth. Without a doubt, this was the Elemental Lord of Light: she was the god who had brought her race into this world. Only the Fae’s creator could possess a light that was as comfortable as hers.

Iris’ reverence was quickly cut short, however. She had found her god, true, but the fact remained that she had found her god unconcious. Panic- no, she was above those third-rate creations. Her heart would not be shaken by such trivial matters. With the finesse of a seasoned tactician, she assessed her next course of action. Bringing Light to Heaven was out of question. The Fae elders were a strict bunch who could not take the slightest bit of stimulation. There was also no guarantee that they would not take this weakened Light for a fraud. Furthermore, she wished to respect the wishes of their god. If Light did not wish to grace Heaven with her presence, then she would not force the case. But then where could she go?

To start off, it would be best to move locations. With the strange fluctuations of energy that had taken place in the cave, it wouldn’t be long until some nosy fool came to investigate. It was one thing to say that she could easily crush mere flies, but it was another when considering the efficiency of it all. To leave for a more isolated location immediately, it was the easier option for both her and her god’s wellbeing. The only question was the mode of transport…

Iris glanced back down at Mesa. Carrying her like she did most things would be a sacrilegious act disgracing the Elemental Lord of Light. No one in their right mind would sling a deity over their shoulders like a potato sack. However, carrying her in what humans often referred to as a “bridal carry” would be wholly inefficient while a “fireman’s carry” was on the same level as an over-shoulder carry. This left only the option of carrying Light on her back. If she were to honestly state her opinion on the matter, she was wary of how it would leave her hands occupied and the two vulnerable, but there was no helping it. It wasn’t like she possessed any magic useful for such situations.

Without the luxury of a set destination in mind, Iris arbitrarily made her way towards the nearby forest. The atmosphere around it had felt more or less devoid of activity...or so she had thought until pitiful wails sounded into the air. On one hand, she had her hands full—quite literally—with ensuring the safety of Light. On the other, her morals forbid her from abandoning whatever creature could be in such distress, regardless of whether or not it was a trap.

She heaved a frustrated sigh. Her goddess was capable of forgiving the lowliest of souls. Surely, her spirit was magnanimous enough to forgive a slight detour. If Iris could help, then she would gladly lend her aid. If it ended up being something vile and evil, then she would take responsibility by eliminating it.

“Are you alright?” Iris asked softly. At the same time, she eyed the “little girl” carefully. In spite of the childish wailing, the figure before her ended up not being a little girl at all. Additionally, she appeared to have some form of authority over the flora in the forest. Could she be a member of the Great race? Nevertheless, her increased wariness did little to deter her determination to alleviate the woes of the tanned woman. She softened her gaze. “My hands are a bit occupied, but I would gladly help if it is within my abilities.”

Ezekiel
AMXRYLLIS AMXRYLLIS
Ezekiel stared long at the man as he noticed him, Ezekiel's gaze only ceased when he lowered his eyes to witness the man's lips moving ever so slightly, he couldn't make out what the man said but it was something very ominous. Ezekiel looked in slight awe as the man grew a tiny smile on his face, only then did Ezekiel feel the malicious intent within the man's presence. As the man spoke, Ezekiel fell into worry and nervousness, fearing he may have intruded onto something far bigger than him, but he proceeded without those thoughts, instead with goosebumps. "How could I forget?" Ezekiel responded, he was confident he could make it through the conversation without danger but he was fearful of the man more than he was when they separated by tables. "My name is Ezekiel Kabûk, son of Emilian The King-Slayer." Mostly lies, he switched his middle name with his last and lied about his father's title, his father gathered and farmed better than he did fight, he wasn't a warrior let alone a king-slayer.

Ezekiel looked down at the table, pondering his next actions. I must be careful with this, this man is dangerous, far more than I could ever be and I'm one of the darkest things in the land. He's an enigma to not be underestimated. He looked up at his person of interest, looking at his facial features, hair, body, and clothing, Ezekiel needed something to figure out who the man was. After a few seconds, Ezekiel decided to speak up. "And who might you be, stranger?" A well poised question after his response only 1 minute ago. Ezekiel kept looking, he stared not at the man's friends or rather group-mates, he had no care for those, instead, his gaze was set on the man as it always was. Just who are you.. or rather, what are you?

Sera was crying! Ha! She did like him! Kaia was overwhelmed with the victory as he held her close with all his strength. Even if it wasn't much at the moment, it was enough to squeeze the breath out of her. Wait, no. That was new. Her chest was moving. As was his. Even the confusion of gods bothering to breathe wasn't going to be enough to even dampen his happiness at the moment. His chirps were coming out so softly and rapidly, he might as well have just been purring. He barely even noticed when she spoke, only followed her physical cues as she guided him to sit on the sand instead of her. He even missed the less-than-appropriate outburst from the princess. However, his pointed ear did perk up significantly when she called him, "worth it". He could die happy now. His eyes narrowed with his dazed smile as he cast his gaze back towards the shoreline. He locked eyes with the princess and decided he owed her some sort of explanation.
"I'm a god and you are my creation," he summed it all up, voice still very sweet and satisfied. Which only went to show the extent of his happiness because there were very few occasions in which his voice was anything less than absolutely abrasive. "Hmm... I don't even really know what happened, Sera. Actually, that's not true. I know what happened. I don't know why that thing happened. Do you know, Sera?" He purred her name out as he reached out and put his arm around her waist, dragging himself closer to her. 'It's your turn to talk."

Ember snorted gently when seraphine referred to her as an 'audiance' then stepped back and smoothly shifted back into her regular human form, which was much more petite and less frightening than her dragon form and thought the mers deserved a little explanation "My most sincere apologies for the ruckus we caused, you see, the spritely lass there needed your attention to -what I assume- reunite with this mer-lad" she gently explained, feeling displeased with her less-than-appropriate action. though anything for a friend...if she could consider the deity a friend.

"I thought you were in town?!" She hated getting picked up. "I'm not a kid you know. You don't have to go around caring me everywhere." Though she knew darn well she would just make a break for it if he didn't. She crossed her arms when he made the comment of always catching her not at her lessons. "There boring and I have no interest in them....though I do like the magic lessons." Once he got to the library he sat her down on the couch and handed her the social Etiquette. book. The tutor from earlier walked in to the library quite annoyed. "Your highness must always run out on me." She glanced at him and opened her book. "Your boring." The tutor deflated a little bit. "But your highness I-" Ella glanced at him and with a slightly spoiled attitude said, "You can go now I'm studying something else." The man sighed and walked out. Once he left she opened her book and tried to read it but she couldn't seem to concentrate. Bon started to go over somethings but she just wasn't into it. She was still sitting on the couch but she was upside down staring at her feet. She then let her head fall back and looked at Bon. "Boooon I'm bored can I study my magic instead?" She then, suddenly excited sat up and smiled. "I could good practice my flying?!" She walked up to him and stared at with him with her eyes widen with excitement hoping he would say yes.

Emilian the kingslayer ?? cain didn’t quite remember that name or ever truly recall such a famous person .. but, then again, he has been trapped in that cave for years now. many things could have changed during the course of over a hundred thousands a year. but, still. this child was lying to him. cain may not possess seraphine’s beast-like senses, but he knows a lie when he sees one, especially when his own shadow was connected to the vampire’s. slowly .. he began extracting the data left open by Ezekiel. a booming laughter escape from this god’s lip as he pat the young vampire on the back. edmund fairwells. i’d give you my father’s name, but i got none. he laughed, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. his amaryllis orbs began to glow with interest, one brow raised. “however, what a surprise ! king-slayer ? what business does a son of someone that famous have to do here in this small town ? pretty sure we got no kings here. “ he teased. you see, cain wasn’t like the other elemental lords .. he was never quite boastful with his strengths or title. his face was never seen, except when he needed it to be so. therefore, while he may have been worshipped by his creations .. never once, had he ever appeared before them. well, he may have .. but, they just never really truly recognized him. with his arm still wrapped around Ezekiel’s neck like they were the bestest friend, the vampire’s shadow has now been stolen. all cain needed was physical contact to take this piece of darkness away .. this elemental lord doesn’t trust easily. rather, he needed to, at least, take something precious of Ezekiel’s first before they conversed with each other more .. the vampire’s shadow was now the elemental lord of darkness hostage. while cain hated this, he shared his food .. all while the gears in his brain worked tirelessly to try to come up with a plan. well, he does need a vampire if he is going to find his siblings. after getting out of that cave, his strength, unfortunately .. isn’t as strong as they used to be. with a cheeky grin still plastered across of his lips, cain release his arm from the male and began pushing more plates of food toward the vampire and with a sigh spoke, “ jeez, this place makes the best food .. but, they take forever. come, my friend. don’t be shy and dig in .. i’m sure you must be famished. rather than staring at my face all day, you should fill up that poor belly of yours.”

Anuki

Spending an underterminable amount of time unproductively crying on the ground, Anuki was unable to stop the tears from flowing. Had she been able to, she would've simply gotten rid of her eyes entirely. It was a rather pitiful sight and a shameful, if unsurprising, display of her lack of mental maturity. She might've continued to weep like child for a while longer if not for the sudden voice which had addressed her. Startled, she flinched and tried to wipe the fresh tears from her blurry eyes. Her overreliance on her 'sixth sense' had left her dull, though given the state she was in, it was unlikely that she'd have noticed the stranger either way.

Upon looking up, she saw a lone woman, one whose race she was quite familiar with. A fae, and true to the one that made them, the creation brightened up her mood, even if it was just that, a mere creation. The memory of Time's betrayal remained fresh in her mind, but the creature before her cast just enough light to rein in her dark thoughts for the moment. Sniffing as she wiped her face, she managed to bring herself to her feet, standing shakily to face the fae. "No, I'm not. Big sis hurt me and left." She said in reply, showing no intention of clarifying. "Take me. I desire company and meat." Although the lord of earth seemed to have briefly forgotten her powerlessness as she spoke those words, her tone was no different from a child asking its mother for toys. She felt it would be better to be led by another, as she was lost in every sense of the word.

Now, as her reddened eyes had, at last, dried out, she was finally able to take notice of the fae's baggage. Rather, it appeared to be a person, perhaps even a dead one. She took a few shaky steps toward the fae, still feeling a sense of 'blindness' which made her unsteady. Closer inspection revealed a familiar sight which caught her by surprise, causing her to tear up yet again, though this time in joy. She hadn't been expecting such a quick reunion, after all, as she'd only just awoken. Hopeless as she was outside the fields of battle, she found herself unable to contain her excitement as she yelled out, "Messy!" as though she were expecting a reply from the unconscious figure.

Unbeknownst to the two, Mesa had awoken sometime ago, though she did not have the strength to verbally announce her state of consciousness, nor did she actually have any desire to try and see if she was strong enough to hold herself on her own two feet. Whoever this Fae was, Mesa was content to allow them to continue their silent journey interrupted as she rested, worried, and dreamed.

There were many things on her mind, and not one of those were happy thoughts. There was much concern in regards to her current strength, ‘temperance’ which she had consumed and taken into herself once again, and the shudder that wracked her frame and soul every now and then. If she were to peek inside, she wondered what she would see. Last she remembered, her soul was content, a bright lantern, a nest of butterflies that tiptoed softly, wingtips fluttered softly in a content daze. If she were to look now, would she find a hollow crater, void of light, ravaged by old, unadulterated darkness - from the fragment she had foolishly consumed in her fit of rage?

If she looked, if that nightmare came to be, she knew without a doubt that the Madness she so proudly collared, so fondly adopted in the name of ‘Justice’ would … Nope. She wasn’t even going to think it. Instead, Mesa decided, she would simply weather this storm. Wait until she properly ‘digested’ all of the darkness before she would try again, to find what she needed to.

With her mind made up, she opened one eye, to take in her surroundings. Coincidentally she did so just in time to heed Anuki’s enthusiastic summoning. While her thought processes were just fine, she was still physically groggy, and so when she opened her mouth, a soft whisper was breathed into the crook of Iris’ shoulder, “Anuki,” she greeted with a warm, fond smile. She who was the youngest among the eight, was someone Mesa often liked to watch, captivated by her childish expressions, but also by the tantalizing otherness the Lord so uniquely embodied, so readily embraced and presented without so much as batting an eye. Mesa, who would be among the first to admit her paradoxical nature, was drawn to it.

Imitating the habits of old, her arm reached out, and two knuckles pressed onto the Earth Lord’s sternum carefully, gently. Turbulent, but vivid, and the careless love Mesa had come to associate with her were all present. Mesa took comfort in the fact that Anuki had not changed, had been kept safe through the passage of time and her joy overwhelmed the dreadful exhaustion in her, allowing her to part from Iris’ shoulders and careful hands. She came to stand in front of the other Lord - some mad part of her contemplated the taste of Anuki’s tears, but eating anything after her first meal seemed ill advised - and wrapped weak, gentle arms around the others’ shoulders. “I’ve missed you, dear Earth,” she cooed, golden eyes twinkling in delight, at the first contact she had with a sibling since … too long ago. Belatedly, she realized she was also overjoyed that she had found Anuki first, who would welcome her touch, who would have expected it - who Mesa was comfortable touching without reservation.

Bon couldn't help but chuckle at the princess's to the point attitude. She'd make a fine ruler if she ever got through her studies. The princess's request pulled Bon back to the present. "Well, the weather seems to be on your side," he stated with a small smile, patting the little one's head before spinning on his heel to make his way towards the library's grand window. With a light shove, it flew open and a gust of air came rushing in. "Follow my lead princess," he instructed before jumping out with unbridled confidence. He'd done this a thousand times and for some unknown reasons, today magic seemed easier to use. "Breathe," Bon murmured mid-way through the fall. As a result, he was able to fly. "Come along little lady, today I'll let you lead," he informed with a small smile, arms crossed over his chest. "We haven't got all day," he teased. animegirl20 animegirl20

S E R A P H I N E

Even with just a spark of her previous flare, Seraphine still knew how to take and make a joke. "Lass? Why if you insist, though I'm pretty sure I'm older than that word itself," she muttered, humored by the very thought of being considered a young woman. When Kaia's arm snaked around her waist she gave no acknowledgments other than a small grunt. "Anyhow, what's going on is that we're all waking up. By we I mean the very Gods who created you," she summed up vaguely as possible, not in the mood for details. Those weren't Seraphine's thing. Small bits of information bored her because no matter how immaculate something was, everything burned down to one singular thing in the end. Ashes. Fortunately for the curious mer-princess, Seraphine figured without her full capabilities at hand, she needed to care. At least for the time being. Kaia's curiosity helped too. "Time was jealous and popped a cap. It was bound to happen eventually," explained Seraphine, near the end primarily talking to Kaia. "So," started Seraphine, shaking Kaia's hand off of her as she rose from the sand, turning towards Ember. "I'd like to head off and," before she could finish expressing herself, Seraphine collapsed. Her legs had given out on her. "Change of plans," whispered the Goddess as she fell into unconsciousness. Sleep, that's new. jay.rain jay.rain RI.a RI.a Limerick.Grimoire Limerick.Grimoire

Shizue.

Shizue was less than satisfied with both the gods' answers, at least the dragon girl apologised for causing a scene. She didn't know how to react to the two deities cuddling. But she wondered if she would do the same for her god-- the one currently purring in delight after his nonchalant answer. Was this who she was worshipping all these years? Her faith, her devotion for this being in front of her that expressed his love like a lost puppy? Why didn't Kaia show his love for his creation as he did for the fire goddess?

"It's alright, miss. No harm done as long as that was all that it was and not a call for war. We have nothing if not the peace we have known for centuries." She addressed the dragon girl first, her princess duties kicking in. "I would also like to apologise for my earlier... outburst. It was more than inappropriate." Her cheeks turned a light pink, her eyes glancing to her guards and everyone. Shizue grew quiet again as she listened to Seraphine. So Time threw a... tantrum? And all the gods were starting to awaken. The princess seemed to have more questions than before. But she would have to wait for answers. Her pale eyes widened when Seraphine collapsed on the shore. The mermaid quickly swam up closer. Her tail began to change once she touched the sandy shore. Stumbling a little as she hurried on her legs, her bare body shivered a little against the coastal winds.

She kneeled close to the goddess, "I know a quiet place to rest not far from here. I can also call a healer." Shizue was hesitant in touching her skin, not in fear of it hurting her, but wary of the reaction of her own god. "What would you like to do, Kaia?" Her eyes bravely met his again, still respecting his presence and awe, she meant no harm and only wished to help.

244435-sound-horizon-7th-story-mrchen-schneewittchen.jpgElla smiled. "Really?! We can do it?! Alright!" She dashed and grabbed her broom and went to the window. She wasn't quite ready fly on her own she felt better flying on some type of object to control also she seems to be better at this way. She got on the broom and gripped with both hands then closed her eyes and mumbled "breath" then she speeded out through the window. "ALRIGHT!!!" She started flying around flips and what not. You could tell she was having a blast. "This is the best thing ever!" She then suddenly stopped and flew back to Bon. "Let's race to that mountain over there." She said as pointed at there destination. "Ready set GO!" And she was gone. She speeded her way down to the mountain beating Bon. Now either Bon let her win or her over riding energy was just to much to keep up with it. As she got closer to the mountain she began to slow down when she thought she noticed a boy. She flew closer to see that this guy was half way trapped in the mountain. "What the?" She flew over to him and tilted her head. You could almost see the wheels turning her head trying to understand someone would be in this position. Then suddenly she started talking really fast. "Why is there only part of you sticking out of the ground? Are you stuck? But how did you get there? You didn't do that on purpose did you? If you did that would be totally weird but you don't look like a weird person so your probably ok. But then again for someone stuck in the ground you seem way to calm and that's weird." She then from the corner of her eye noticed Bon. "Hey Bon come look there's a weird boy stuck in the ground!"

Purple Winds

As the urge to escape from the stony tomb grew, Beval's hands rose slowly from their resting position on the ground, leading to a slow encompassing ray of overwhelming feelings; hunger and thirst taking priority. Confusion soon set in, caused by a growling of his stomach muffled by it's proximity to the ground, and an indescribable feeling in the throat forcing his mind to focus on the situation.

Slowly gesturing his hand into simple gestures, the repeated flicking of his fingers caused small updrafts, his own mindless attempts of freedom were only met by the fruitless response of feathers dispersing from his person and tiny crumbs of the earth tumbling down the mountain's crust.

Focusing on the rocks and pebbles as they tumbled down the hill, the slight sound of whooshing from the sky made him arch his head upwards to be met with the sight of a small wingless girl approaching on a giant stick, who seemed to be flying?
He tilted his head with the girl as she talked, mimicking her expressive motions as she rushed through her words, and a smile forming upon her calling out to another "Ah yes! Hello my little inquisitive one, this strange man is very stuck, and it's rather hard to decide whether this was an intention of mine" His own head slowly nodding at his own response, Beval began to focus on the face of the girl, intent on staring at her until he and his status became recognizable."Instead, how about we wait for that friend of yours, I believe waiting will be a very valuable thing to do right now."

Brown eyes twinkled with bemusement, did the princess think he'd lost his luster? A race she wanted, a race she'd get. "GO!" cried the princess and off they went. Unfortunately, Bon was no match for the princess's prowess in wind magic. Within moments, the race was as good as won by Ella. Bon's face held an expression of surprise before one of pride. "I've taught her well," he thought as he arrived towards their destination, wore out. He landed a few feet away from the princess, in an attempt to hide his fatigue. He looked up and could scarcely see her through the thick tree branches, but it didn't raise worry. Her shout though- immediately sent him bolting up and into the sky, eyes wide with worry. She was gone from the sky and the branches made it hard for him to see the ground. Thankfully the twinkle of her crown revealed her location and Bon was by her side in a second. His eyes were wide and wild, stray twigs were caught in his hair and beard. "Princess?" he inquired, his breath ragged and unsteady. By the time his gaze turned to the man, he was in front of the princess in an attempt to shield her. His stern expression and defensive posture disintegrated when the state the man was in resonated with Bon, leaving him utterly bewildered. The ground around the fellow was completely undisturbed minus the dirt that lined the fellow's torso. How was this possible? There were no signs of digging, not anywhere. Possessed by curiosity he kneeled down before the man, now at eye level with him. "Who are you, and . . . How?" he inquired, utterly confused. What and who, had they stumbled upon? animegirl20 animegirl20 dragonsfire dragonsfire

Kaia ;; with Serphine & Shizue & Ember -- Heavenchi Heavenchi RI.a RI.a Limerick.Grimoire Limerick.Grimoire
Kaia tilted his head to the side as the princess spoke. Well, apologized. The corner of his mouth quirked up in amusement and his lips parted to show off his gleaming, sharp teeth the longer she went on. She was just so cute! He definitely had the most perfect creations out of all his siblings. The being in front of him, he thought her name was Shizue, was the result of absolute genius. He began to unabashedly check her out, though it wasn't in the way these mortals were used to. He was genuinely fascinated by the beauty of his own mind. He would never get tired of looking at himself nor his creations. Or Sera. But she was an exception to most things in Kaia's life.
And then Sera collapsed. A sharp chirp of surprise lept from Kaia's chest as he popped up onto his knees and dove to the fire lord's side. "Sera? Sera?!" He managed to limit himself to only two desperate whines before he quieted down and made an attempt to look at the situation rationally; something traditionally very difficult for the water lord. His head snapped up to size Shizue up as she came stumbling towards them, spines along his forearms automatically flaring out defensively. He muttered an apology to the princess as he turned his attention back to Sera, eyes filled with a certain kind of worry. A god passing out was unheard of. The somberness of the situation effectively stripped his personality of its signature glimmer and childishness. He was all protection at this point.
"I'd truly appreciate if we could do both. Will you call one of our own? I'll carry her," he met her gaze firmly but was absolutely unable to summon a smile. He hoped his eyes conveyed his humble appreciation. Not desperation. Appreciation. At least now he was probably more of the godly figure she imagined he'd be.

Ember went from calm and almost playful to utter panic as soon as sera was on the ground and Kaia began giving orders "no need, I can carry her, and you as well, if you need me to" she spoke softly but firmly with all seriousness and sobriety before turning to the princess, having somewhat forgotten her "er...you could come along as well...if you don't mind flying that is, I may need you to give me directions to this 'quiet place" she said, taking pride in her powerful other form.
