Raven
88364221-53FA-4532-B834-DEEA53E75B7A.gif
Despite the depressing aura she’d put around them, and the oblivious red-head just a ways across from on dance floor with someone else. Jace still managed to keep her mood up, shaking her head slightly and eying him with yet even more curiosity when he stepped in-front of her, Raven was glad she didn’t ruin anything by being herself.

Returning his smile with one of her own. Raven didn’t quite get why he didn’t hurry away from her. If someone asked Raven herself, she’d say it’s because of her amazing charm, who would dare to leave her attention? That’s what she’d say. But no matter what she did or with who, it felt like everyone was running away from her. Or maybe she was the one fleeing, afraid to get too close to begin with. Raven couldn’t help but give a genuine smile at his optimism. “Okay, so.. maybe it could be worse.” Giving a half shrug.

Out of the corner of her eye she’d seen beanie Jace, he didn’t look like he was enjoying his company very much. Drake was.. well Raven didn’t know him well enough to label him yet. But it seemed like a good time to apologize for the other day. Some may think Raven might not care about the people she upsets, but when the person don’t deserve it. Well, she can feel guilty.

“I have to go take care of something, so.. that means we’ll have to cut this short.” giving a fake pout, although it was fake. She actually felt sorry for leaving him, Raven would’ve spent more time with him if she didn’t have matters to attend to. “However, thank you for the highlight of my night, cupcake. ” Giving him a wink and a last smile towards him.

Walking up to Drake and Jace, playfully scanning them up and down. Grinning at Drake. “Don’t you both look so handsome?” Putting her hands up in defense. “I don’t mean to interrupt this obviously attention grabbing conversation.” Her eyes catching Jace’s and giving him a weak smile. “Take a walk with me?” Eying him hopefully, this time she’ll actually give someone a choice instead of forcing them to accompany her.

Raven scared him, but Drake scared him more, so Jace wasn't totally upset about the idea of going off with Raven. Although he was fairly certain that the dark-haired girl would try to kill him or something but that was a risk he was willing to take. "We'll have to... uh... continue this later...?" He said awkwardly to Drake as he slid out from underneath the other boy's arm and then hurried away with Raven, only exhaling once they were a good distance away.

"W-What do you want?" His words were a bit stuttered as he spoke, and Jace realized just how much he missed the accompaniment of Nova. There was something about her that always filled him with some confidence. Some. Enough that he was at least able to stop stuttering when speaking about anything that wasn't music.

As he spoke, Jace's hands immediately went to his beanie, which he fixed so that it was sitting more comfortably on his head. His eyes kept flickering away from Raven to look around the room for Nova's bright yellow dress, although he didn't see any sign of her yet, so finally his attention turned solely to Raven.

He was surprised by what June had said. Was that a... a flirt? One that Mason would have taken very differently had it been any girl that wasn't sweet, innocent June but for her, he literally took it as just dancing. Pushing those horrible, tainted thoughts aside, he just gave her a little grin, pulling her a little closer to him as he did so.

"June, wow, was that a flirt? I didn't know you had it in you." He said and then leaned down towards her, hesitating as his eyes went from hers to her lips, and back to her eyes before he leaned in all the way and gently pressed his lips against hers. The kiss lasted only a few seconds -- again, Mason not into excessive PDA -- before pulling back.

Raven was glad Jace agreed, giving a nod to Drake for a goodbye, making ways away from everyone else as Jace nervously fiddled with his beanie. She opened her mouth to say something about wearing the beanie, but quickly decided against it. She was here to apologize not to insult him. “Okay, first off. Calm the hell down.” ..maybe not the best way to start.

After a few moments of slience she spoke. “..i just wanted to say sorry.” Raven avoided eye-contact before realizing she shouldn’t. “For the other day, i lashed out at you.. and I’m sorry.”

Raven busied herself while she waited for a reply, her eyes scanning the room when she noticed Mason and June, who were dancing about a minute ago, they weren’t dancing anymore.. but kissing. Raven felt a pang of jealousy, how could June kiss her and only a few days later.. him?

Raven forced her gaze away from the two. letting out a breath she didn’t know she was holding, barely looking towards Jace. “Okay.. well.. that’s all i wanted to say.” Raven’s demeanor changed significantly, not as.. her as she was moments ago. “‘Man, too much body heat in here y’know?” She chuckled although nothing was really funny to her at the moment. “I’m... gonna go get some air.” Giving him a weak grin, walking out of the school altogether.

Inhaling the cold air once she stepped outside, taking a seat on one of the stairs. Raven initiated the kiss. However she didn’t make June pull her into another. Why was she jealous when she had no reason to be? June wasn’t hers.

She shouldn’t care.

He had to be dreaming, and part of Jace considered pinching himself to see if he was dreaming when Raven apologized. But that would probably be rude, so instead, he just stood there, mouth agape, trying to figure out what the heck had happened to the girl before him. "Uh... umm... it... uh..." his words were a tumbling disaster, and finally his hand reached up to his head, awkwardly scratching at his beanie and leaving it a little sideways on his head. "It's... okay?"

But before the conversation could even really continue, Raven's gaze caught on something in the mass of dancing students, and she claimed she needed air and headed outside. At first, Jace's eyes tried to find what she had been looking at, but all he could see was Mason and June-- ... Ohhh. Everything made sense now as the two stopped kissing.

One last glance around the gym confirmed that Nova was still stuck in girl time or whatever it was, and there was no way he was getting swept up by Drake again. So Jace awkwardly chased after Raven. The cold air was a relief after being inside the stuffy school, and he gazed around until he caught sight of Raven sitting on the stairs. This was so unlike him, but Jace knew what it was like to have unrequited love, and it was the most heinous thing.

"Uh, Raven... a-are... you..." He took in a deep breath, trying to steady his words as he stopped in front of her and slipped his hands into the pockets of his dress pants. "Do you... please tell me you like June and not Mason?" Another person Jace disliked: Mason. Both of the brothers were people that he just hated associating with, but Mason was... well, he was in his own category of sucky people. "I... I saw you looking... at them, and uh... sorry?"

Rory nervously laughed as he realized what he just said. This conversation was going to bring up so bad memories but at least he had some one to talk to. It would the first time he has ever opened up to anyone about his past but he couldn't keep it inow any longer.

"My parents sheltered me...because they wanted to protect me from being like my older brother." Rory took a deep breath. "I was adopted so they tried their best mold me into the perfect kind and...it worked. But I feel so lost now that I'm in the real world." He felt bad only making this conversation about him.

"What about you? How was your childhood?"

The slience outside was comforting, the cold breeze blowing against her was relaxing, Raven flinched, not expecting a voice in the slience she was glad to be in. Tilting her head slightly to see Jace— beanie, Jace. ”Am i..what?” Raven asked as she looked away from him, staring down at the steps in-front of her.

Barely looking up in surprise when he asked her about the two. Was it really that obvious? “The only person who actually likes Mason, is June.” Raven shook her head in disbelief. What did she see in him? She could probably try again and again thinking about it, but it would probably provide her no answer.

Meeting his eyes when he apologized for something that wasn’t his fault. That was another thing Raven didn’t quite get either. Why say sorry when you had nothing to do with it? Isn’t it just a way to say ‘sucks to be you?’ Raven sighed heavily, “Mm. Me too.” She replied, staring back at the stairs when noticing a loose thread on the dress that she never cut earlier. Rolling her eyes her idiotic self.

“Shouldn’t you be enjoying homecoming?”

Well, she hadn't yelled at him, so Jace didn't try to leave. It was obvious that she needed someone -- a friend, but it didn't really seem like Raven had a lot of those, so it looked like he would have to suffice. Which kind of sucked for both of them, but probably more for Raven. The last thing Jace would want was to see was himself coming to comfort him.

"Isn't that the truth..." Jace mumbled, shaking his head and looking down towards the ground at a rock. "We used to be friends. Like... years ago, but then Mason changed and now like... I don't know how anyone puts up with him." He said, and starting pushing the rock around with the tip of his fancy dress shoe. "If it's any consolation, she'll probably be sick of him in a week. Tops. Girls never hang around him for long." What? Jace noticed these things.

He hesitated when she asked him if he should be enjoying Homecoming. "Well, Nova got kidnapped by some girls and Drake scares me, soo..." Jace shrugged. "This is the better option. And I mean, shouldn't you be enjoying it, too?" His blue-green eyes flickered up from the rock for a moment to look at Raven before looking back down at the rock.

~ Hajar Giles ~

“Oh yes…” Hajar purred into his ear and pulled him closer into her body, letting her lips trail against his chin then down along his neck before planting a final kiss in the center of his chest. “Now as much as I’d like to have our usual fun…” Her dark eyes danced from his face to the back room where the bed was, “I have an invitation to a party and you’re gonna be my plus one… It starts around midnight.” Her eyes centered back on his then down at her watch, “You got an hour then meet at this place.” She pressed a folded piece of paper into his hand before wiggling her way out of his grasp, knowing she had to get away before his puppy dog eyes lured her back in. “I’ll see you soon love..” Hajar blew him a parting kiss and collected her backpack, before slipping out the door, “Hey…” She paused on the way out and looked at him, “Call me “crumpet” at this party and I swear Ryan Maxwell… I’ll kick your ass down the road.” She tried to make her face serious but she lost it and laughed, she couldn’t be deathly serious and look at him, it was too hard.

It wasn’t a long walk back to her apartment block, but it didn’t give her a huge amount of time to get read, than again she was Hajar Giles and didn’t put a whole lot of stock into becoming a beacon of beauty. Before she started her little preparation ritual though, she took the time to stash away the money she had earned from this weapons deal. Though, she had to sit for a minute and think really hard about the events that had happened that night, involving the deal and the cops. The Outlaws weren’t going to trust her and if she was right, then their chapter house was going to get crushed by the police sooner if not later, so she wouldn’t trust anymore deals with them. Plain and simple, cut and dry. It took a minute to get her head back in gear, but after a few more minutes of mindless thought, Hajar was hopping in the shower. Her outfit was plain, revealing, and hands down sexy. She adjusted her mohawk with a little bit of hair wax then some simple make up was in order, some light dusting of blushes then a killer red lipstick that made her lips look irresistible. She took a step back and gave her entire look a once over, “I hope I knock him dead…” Of course she would, it had been a long time since she had gotten this dressed up but her looks were killer when she put the work into it. Leaving Now, See You There… XOXO A brief little text to Ryan and then she stuck her phone into the fashionable little purse she would be taking along this evening, along with her trusty butterfly knife that never left her side. For a moment, she stopped to tug on her leather jacket to ward off the little chill running through the night air before she was off again.

The warehouse where this illicit party was taking place wasn’t to far away from her apartment, it was actually centered right behind the boxing gym where she trained almost every morning. The owner of the gym, Paul, had a few friends who loved to throw wild parties in the warehouse and he had sprung to get Hajar the invitation since they had both grown up in the East End and actually known her two brothers, having run around with them as teenagers when they first moved to the East End. Hajar hadn’t met him because Paul had moved to the US with his husband by the time she arrived in the Giles household. She stayed out on the corner with a cigarette in her teeth, taking long slow drags as she waited on Ryan to arrive. Her face brightened immediately when he arrived and she couldn’t stop herself, being a fool in public, by practically jumping into his arms and giving him a long sweet kiss. “Welcome to the party, come on.. I wanna introduce you to the man who got us in.” Hajar found his hand, intertwining their fingers together as she pulled him into the building. Money traded hands as they pushed through the line, the invitation plus a grand underneath made it easy to get in. Immediately, her ears were thumping with the deep bases of music filtering through the bricks and the lights pulsating through the narrow dark hallway. “Fuck...It’s been forever since I’ve been to a real good rager..” Her body was already swaying and bobbing to the beat of music, her fingers twitching to the beats as they rapped against her thighs. She tossed her coat off to the little make shit coat room, winking towards the girls working the little counter before pulling Ryan into the main room. It was like any old warehouse except it had the outfitting of a club with a large dance floor, an L-shaped bar, with plenty of seating and hidden corners so that people could pair off and enjoy themselves. The low-lights, the beat of the music pulsing through the air, and the sea of bodies clashing together on the dance floor. Hajar loved it all. “Come on, let’s find Paul real quick.” Her lips were pressed against Ryan’s ear, it was the only way he was going to be able to hear in this place.

It wasn’t hard to find Paul, he had always and faithfully stuck himself by the bar to help out those who were bar tending and dealing with patrons who were to rowdy, Hajar stopped him immediately and let go of Ryan, dashing over to give him a hug. “Paulie!” She was genuinely happy to see him, planting a kiss on his cheek. “Hajar, love, I’m so glad you could come!” Paul was huge, tall and wide, with a boxer’s physique that had been training for years, he had a shock of white hair but his face was too youthful to look that old, especially with his blue eyes that pulsated with the circling lights. He gave her a kiss on the cheek, his arm around her waist, “Is this that lovely young man I’ve been hearing about?” Paul looked at Ryan and grinned, “You’ve got your hands full with this girl… First round is on me of course, I’ll let the bar back know. You two, please enjoy yourselves.” Hajar gave Paul a tight hug then let go and returned to Ryan, “Wanna dance with me?” Her hands splayed out on his chest, grabbing his shirt lightly, her dark eyes exploding in a display of emotions that hadn’t been seen in a year. All the worry lines and darkness that shadowed her face was melted away in the warmth and chaotic nature of this little club, her sense and body had come alive in the dark and Hajar? Well… She was ready to feel more than alive again.

Raven wondered if Mason was the guy he was talking about a few days ago in the music room. Funny how Jace thought they were similar enough to give her a warning about becoming too confident. She shook her head slightly when he continued, Raven doubted June would just be done with Mason in a week. She cared a lot for people, she wouldn’t just forget about him. June was sweet like that. Raven hated this, feeling all.. it was stupid. Not worth her time.

Listening while Jace listed the reasons he wasn’t inside, raising a brow she’d talked to Drake a number of times and he was everything but scary, he was probably too... Drake-ish. For him, Raven decided not to bring up how harmless he seemed to be. Cracking a smile she opened her mouth to say something egotistical about the better option part in his sentence.

Her smile faded immediately, maybe any other night she would’ve. But Raven wasn’t feeling like she was the best choice in this scenario, or other ones in particular. “Should i be?” She didn’t say anything further on it, nor was it an actual question for him to answer.

Raven let the crickets outside do the talking for her as she went quiet again.

June
She bit her lip for a moment, not sure if she should’ve done the flirt. Perhaps she got a little too giddy over the idea of them dancing together. “I mean... I just wanted to try it.” She said with a shy shrug before looking up at him as he leaned down.

Instantly she leaned in closer to and suddenly remembered that party. The dare and the two of them kissing. She closed her eyes briefly, but opened them as he drew away. Then, her eyes flickered away besides her, seeing Raven. A wave of guilt struck her once more as she thought about it. They shouldn’t have kissed here. Not when Raven was still here, it was so cruel. “Hm. Hey, I’m going to go to the bathroom real quick.” She said gently squeezing his hand, a smile on her face as she turned and walked away. As soon as her back was to him, her smile dropped. She didn’t know what to think of herself or this situation. All she knew was she needed a little bit of a break from the music, the people, and the idea of kissing Mason and Raven.

Ryan hated to see her go, but he knew that he was going to be seeing her soon. When she left, Ryan had started to get ready. He started with a shower. this would wash the nit and grit and grime off of him. Walking in the woods for two hours had caused him to sweat lightly. The bundle of cash wasn't that light. After he got out of the shower, he dyred himself off and ran a comb through his hair. He combed it off to the side and ran some gel into it. While he was waiting for it to set he slowly went through all his shirts. He settled on his red button up. He was going to wear some darker jeans with a pair of boots. He put on an undershirt on first, then the overshirt. After that it was as simple as putting on pants and boots. After everything was said and done about 30 minutes had passed. He had a couple of hours to chill so he pregamed before. Only having about 2 beers before heading out.

After a quick, brisk walk he had turned up at the location that Hajar had given him. He looked at the warehouse for a second before finding Hajar. When he saw what she was wearing, Ryan's jaw hit the ground. He shook his head in shock. Hajar had looked amazing before, but now, She would kill him if she wore something like that again. When she jumped into his arms, he held onto her for a second. He returned the kiss. After that they went inside.

The outside was castly different from the inside. The outside looked a little worn down, the inside was basically a club, and it was a very big place. Whoever was running this must have been either rich, or had a lot of connections. Ryan had met Paul and chuckled when he said that he was going to have his hands full with Hajar. From the two dates that they had, they broke into a gun shop, and she broke into a house. He knew he was going to have his hands full. But he didn't mind it, because it was Hajar. "I can handle her. cause she's my...... Girl." He said almost saying something that he knew he shouldn't of said out loud.

When she asked him to join her on the dance floor, Ryan couldn't say no. She looked amazing, and he wanted to be with her. "Lead the way." He said holding her tight. The music was loud, the bass was deep, and the beats verberated through his bones. This was something that he could enjoy especially if he went with Hajar. He followed her over to the dance floor. The music was bumping, and the dance floor was huge and crowded. They pushed there way into the crowd and made their way to a spot where both of them could dance. "Let's see what you got love." He said with a grin.

Sawyer
Despite how much she was trying not to, Sawyer found her eyes wandering more times than not. They lingered a little longer than she would consider appropriate on Grace. They didn't stay in one place long either, drinking her in like this was the last time she was going to see her. Her hands twitched impatiently and she had go reach over to grab Grace's hand before she died of impatience. Almost as if it heard her struggling the music shifted to a slow song and Sawyer turned to Grace with the goofiest grin she'd ever flashed. Sawyer's feet pulled the both of them to the dance floor and Sawyer only released her hand to do a ridiculous looking bow.

"Okay, Miss Jackson." She stepped up closer to Grace and snaked her arms around the other girl's waist, "Teach me, if you will."

Sawyer tried to think of a word that could accurately describe how she felt right now. She would say enamored but that didn't quite seem to fit. Smitten maybe, but then again even that was a bit off. Again and again Sawyer had found herself more than little bit mesmerized by one Grace Jackson. Perhaps there wasn't one word she could use to express what she felt. Except that there was. She just didn't think it was quite that time yet. The reverie Sawyer had built around herself and Grace fell away at the sound of the gym doors slamming open.

There, in the open doorway, Natalie Porter stood in the tightest dress Sawyer had ever seen with some football player practically drooling next to her. Sawyer unconciously tightened her hold on Grace and scowled. Of course, what an ass. She shook her head and decided to ignore Natalie's rather...dramatic entrance by turning back to Grace.

"She is literally such an ass." Sawyer chuckled and smiled at Grace, "But this is supposed to be fun and I'm here for you." She leaned forward a bit at the word you and placed a quick kiss against Grace's lips, "Please, teach me your ways, oh great dancing master."

Grace looked over at the dance floor when they decided to play a slow song, she turned towards Sawyer to find her already staring at her. Laughing as she dragged them both on the dance floor, and sighing blissfully in her arms. Grace opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by Natalie walking into the gymnasium. Perhaps Grace wouldn’t have worn the dress she’d picked out.. but she looked nice. Catching her eye and giving her a small smile for a greeting.

She would’ve told Sawyer about earlier today with Natalie. But Grace could tell her later.. She wanted to enjoy this moment, although it shouldn’t be too hard. It was fairly easy to forget all her problems whenever she was with Sawyer. Surprised when she kissed her considering they’ve never kissed in public... but it was okay. Grace was happy at the moment, she wasn’t going to ruin it for herself to attempt to find out if anyone stared, If people stared.. well. Grace was almost sure it was because they were jealous, she’d definitely be if she wasn’t with Sawyer.

Letting out a soft laugh, “you’re adorable.” With that extremely true comment. She decided to teach her. “Okay, so..” Grace trailed off. Realizing that she wasn’t explaining anything, just staring at her in awe. She shook her head. “It can go one of two ways?” Putting up two fingers, and playfully narrowing her eyes. “Since you’re taller.. and i just don’t want to remove your hands from my waist.” Grace was sure her cheeks reddened at the last part, but she didn’t care.

Adjusting her hands on opposite sides of her waist. Ignoring the butterflies in her stomach which was incredibly hard to do. “And then..my arms will go around you.. like so.” Telling her as she put her arms around her shoulders, and pulling her close. Scanning every inch of her face before her eyes landed on her lips. “Now we just.. sway.” Grace said almost in a whisper, which might’ve been hard for her to hear because of the music. But she was sure that she got the point across. Looking up at her eyes instead, while she gently swayed to the music. It felt like one of those romance movies, and thinking about it put a childish smile on her face. “See you’re a natural.”

“I wouldn’t want to sway with anyone else.”

Sawyer
Sawyer made a face at Grace when she called her adorable but then it crumbled and she was left with slightly tinged cheeks. The tinge didn't leave as Grace began to explain to her how to slow dance. Which turned out to be surprisingly simple, and admittedly rather enjoyably close. Sawyer could definitely sway. She could probably stay all damn night with the way she was zoned out in Grace's eyes. Even the music had faded to muffled silence around her. Everything was muted and faded except for blue. Suddenly, the color blue was amplified by at least 20 percent which made Grace's eyes so incredibly blue. She couldn't even feel herself breathing anymore and her heart was sputtering out of control. All of the sudden she found her mouth moving without her consent.

"You're beautiful." Sawyer's favorite color was blue. More things should be blue. That way they would match Grace's eyes. Blue like the ocean, infinite and unexplored. Sawyer was definitely going to buy her something blue.

"Grace, " Her voice was quiet, almost a whisper, "I think...I think I love you."

Everything was frozen. The people around them, the dust particles floating through the air. Everything was still except for them. Like time had decided to halt just for that moment. But this only made Sawyer nervous. This was entirely too soon and she knew that, but...she found herself unwilling to try and take it back. Because maybe it was true.

"I-" She stuttered, her tongue felt like lead, time resumed, "I probably shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry." She wasn't. She wasn't even slightly sorry. "But there it is."

Grace blushed and smiled at the compliment, she looked at the floor, attempting to at least just calm her heart down. Every time Sawyer complimented her, she made her somehow believe it. Looking up to meet her eyes when she softly said her name, Grace was perfectly content with Sawyer saying her name whenever with her perfect lips, Grace was sure she could kiss forever. When Sawyer finished her sentence Grace‘s smile faded and her breath visibly caught. She was almost positive she didn’t hear her correctly, but she never wanted to be more wrong.

Barely enough time had passed, and people like Natalie and June had always brung up love whenever they talked about her and Sawyer, she always brushed it off. In denial that she could ever love her. Maybe Grace was just afraid of not being enough for Sawyer to love.. but maybe Sawyer had thought she was?

She just stared at Sawyer when she apologized, shocked that she even did it in the first place. Love wasn’t something to apologize for, Especially since she was sure she felt it too. Grace moved her hands to both sides of her face, hesitating for a split-second before putting her lips to her own. Grace could care less who was looking at the two, there was no doubt that she forgot there was other people in the room.

As if she needed a reminder to how she felt, it was still the same feeling when they always kissed. Her heart fluttered, and like every sweet moment in a love story, one could say she made her knees weak, those sparks were always there. Grace pulled away too soon, but of course there had to be a good reason for it. She didn’t have to think for another second, because Grace didn’t just think it. She knew.

“I love you.”

While it was disappointing that Raven had to take her leave, her parting words and playful wink brought Jace's bright grin back into full bloom. He did enjoy that flirty nickname. While the unwanted emotions of the last couple minutes still weighed on him, he'd mostly put them behind him. Literally as he kept his back turned to Ashton.

For a few moments he watched as Raven walked off into the crowd, just to see where she was going. Rather interestingly she headed off in the same direction that Alaska had earlier, towards the same boy, although now the fighty girl from earlier was gone. In her place was a face that he really only knew because of its owner's relation to Ashton. That and the amusing fact that her brother's nickname was apparently the same as his own first name.

Another reminder of her. The last thing he needed.

Whatever Raven's business was, it didn't involve him anymore, which gave him the perfect opportunity to finish that poor half-eaten cupcake he'd left on the snack table. With his grin fading away now that he was more or less alone, he returned to the place where he'd started his homecoming night, plucking the cupcake he'd left there to finish eating it. Not wanting to turn his attention back to the dance floor yet, he tried to keep himself occupied by surveying what little was to look at on that side of the room. The snacks, the decorations, the assorted people sitting at half empty-

He failed.

Bored before he even finished his nick-namesake, he turned his attention back to the dance floor, his icy blue eyes sweeping over the room. Pointedly looking for someone interesting that wasn't a cheerleader. He didn't succeed right away, but luckily he'd finished his cupcake by then. After reclaiming his unfinished juice box, Jace snuck off to go track down a trash bin, gently crumpling the cupcake wrapper and toying with it in his gloved hand on his way.

Sawyer was honestly so extremely relieved. The second Grace kissed her and those oh so familiar fireworks exploded ten fold behind her eyes. Any worry that she'd had a few seconds ago was gone replaced with a mixture of relief and jubilation. But when Grace repeated her words back to her Sawyer shut down. This was a first. No one had ever told her they loved her. Of course, Sawyer hadn't told them either but still. The air was suddenly very heavy around her and her throat choked up. The crowd felt constricting and Sawyer wanted put. Why was it so god damn hot? As the song ended, Sawyer grabbed Grace by the hand and dragged her through people all the way out to the hallway.

Once they were out she expected the air to thin out but she still couldn't breath. Her face was probably beat red at this point. Sawyer turned to Grace with wide eyes but a smile still settled on her face. Whatever was happening right now it definitely wasn't bad. Sawyer pushed Grace back up against the wall and placed several fast kisses against her lips. She was pretty sure she was giggling with the way her chest was moving like it was having a spaz attack.

"Sorry, sorry." Both of her hands were pressed against the wall next to Grace's head who was now effectively trapped between Sawyer and the wall, "I suddenly found that gym very hot. Jesus. I still can't breath." Sawyer tried to stop herself from smiling so that she could deviate her air flow again but to no avail, "You've literally taken my breath away, oh my god." She was laughing again but this time it was ceased by another, much more proper kiss. This one lasting much longer than the last and ending up one of Sawyer's arms around Grace's waist and the other splayed on the side of her neck.

"Okay, yeah." She said when she finally pulled away, "No thinking to be had here. I definitely love you. Like, a lot."

Grace was more-than willing to follow Sawyer wherever she wanted to go at this point, laughing softly when she pressed her against the wall. Pulling her even closer from her suit jacket, her eyes were locked on her lips when she pulled away from the many kisses. “Mm. Don’t apologize.” Grace said with a smile that was hard to stop from forming on her face. She loved all of this, she loved her, and it was now an actual thing they could say to each-other. All the time even, should they want to.

Grace locked eyes with her, and sighed amazed with the girl in front of her. She was going to say something but before she had a chance to Sawyer kissed her again, and she suddenly forgot what words were. Putting her arms around her neck.

Smiling into the kiss towards the end of it. Only semi-content with how long it lasted until she pulled away with her sweet words. “No thinking, huh.” Grace chuckled, biting her lip. “I definitely love you. Like, a lot too.” Using her own words. She felt like nothing could ruin this night for her. It seemed like everyday with Sawyer was one to remember. Grace’s smile faded as she watched her with wonder. Studying everything about her. And yet she saw no imperfections. “You’re so amazing.”

She moved one of her hands to brush her cheek softly, and leaned in for a much slower kiss this time. Wanting to keep this moment between them forever.

Sawyer
Sawyer was more than content to just stay out in the hallway with Grace all night, but she supposed they should probably go back into the dance. The more she thought about the dance the more she just wanted to continue kissing her girlfriend, who she loved, fuck that wasn't ever going to get old. For the longest time all she had wanted was something that would last and here it was standing right in front of her, kissing her rather fervently no less. Okay, yeah, she definitely did not want to leave the hallway. Sawyer's hands roamed rather boldly no matter how much she tried to stop them. Her heart was about to tear it's way out of her chest if it kept beating as hard and fast as it was.

"Well, isn't this a little show?" Natalie Porter's voice floated from the door to the gym, "I come out here to take a breather and get a whole eye full." She laughed rather coldly and crossed her arms over her chest, "I'm sure the adults would love to hear about what's going on out here. I'm proud of you Sawyer, this is the you I remember." Sawyer stepped away from Grace and then angled herself protectively in front of her.

"What do you want?" Sawyer didn't feel like arguing with Natalie, not tonight of all nights. She wasn't going to let her get under her skin.

"Oh, down, Fido. I just wanted to say hi to Grace." She waved at Grace behind Sawyer with a grin, "After our little talk the other day I've turned over a new leaf. Even told her a few things she didn't know." Well...that plan didn't work. Sawyer's eyebrows knit together and she turned to look at Grace in concerned confusion.

"What does she mean?"

Grace was perfectly fine here in the school's hallway no-less. Literally making out with her girlfriend, Grace didn't think she'd actually be one of those girls. But.. here they are. She was more than okay with Sawyer's hands on her. If only the moment lasted long enough, Grace pulled away quickly when she heard a voice. Lifting a hand to her lips and wiping off any access lipstick she'd probably smudged. What Natalie even doing here? Why did she want to start something? Grace had thought she was.. better now? At least she hoped so. But seeing her ex kissing her girlfriend might've gotten her a bit upset, so.. maybe that's why she was acting like this.

Grace ignored the wave from Natalie. She didn't tell Sawyer yet that they talked, but she was going to. But not tonight. They were enjoying tonight, why did Natalie have to try to ruin it? "Uh.." She looked between the two unsure of what to say about it. Grace glanced at Natalie with disappointment. Upset that she hardly gave them a chance to talk about it. And her eyes went back to Sawyer. "Just.. things.. about you." She wasn't making this any better, but Grace wasn't going to lie to Sawyer.

She looked at Natalie silently pleading for her to leave. Hopefully this new leaf thing would stick, but so-far it wasn't working out. Grace nervously picked at the paint on her nails. Taking a breath before continuing, "Natalie apologized for her actions and stuff.." How was she just going to bring it up? Grace wasn't sure so she just said it. "And she said that you got into trouble, back in Dayton." Biting her lip. "For um..Reckless homicide." She met her eyes, almost afraid of what she'd say.

"I figured I'd risk a longer suspension to come see you, I couldn't let you go to homecoming alone." Ryder explained, smiling brightly at the beautiful girl beside him. Sneaking into the dance had been totally worth it just to see the smile that lit up her face. Getting suspended had been the dumbest decision he'd ever made, there would be no more fighting (at least at school) as long as it kept Ash happy.

"It's nice to meet you, you must be a pretty good basketball coach." He joked, reaching out to shake the blond's hand a little harder than necessary. Part of him wondered how long they'd spent together playing basketball. Ash hadn't exactly been pleased with him after the lunch room incident, it was a little upsetting to think that he might've practically pushed her into another guy's arms. It was relieving to know that Ash had at least mentioned him to Mads, it was a good sign that she cared enough to mention him at all to a total stranger. It also didn't hurt that she kept her arms wrapped around him, brining a smug grin to his lips.

"I can't stand Bryan, but if there's free booze then I guess I can put up with him for the night." If it weren't for Ash he would never have risked sneaking into homecoming and gone straight to the after party, there was nothing really exciting about the dance but the parties afterwards were always memorable.

"You should come with us." He offered, sucking up his ego for Ash's sake. Personally, he didn't care either way if the new guy came or not, but he needed to show Ash he trusted her and make up for the whole fiasco. Maybe if he befriended Mads too she'd be happy.

Alaska

Alaska was a little surprised by Carter suddenly dragging her off to the bathroom until she remembered the booze stashed in her purse. A little something to get her in the party mood wouldn't hurt, Chase was driving after all. It seemed she and Carter really did have a lot in common, she was glad she'd started a conversation with her in class the other day. While Nova was still her best girl friend by far, she felt more at ease with Carter. Nova was so perfect in every way, the kind of girl Alaska wished she could be, whereas Carter was just as much of a beautiful mess as she was. There was no pressure around Carter, she could shamelessly be herself without worrying about being judged. She knew Nova would never judge her, but there were some things Nova just didn't understand, like the need to get so trashed you forgot about all of your problems.

"Don't have too much fun without me!" She called to Drake as she followed after the eager red-head, grabbing Nova's hand as she dragged her along. Though sneaking to the girl's room to get drunk probably wasn't what most girl's considered their fairytale homecoming night, Alaska felt like this would be one of the best nights of her high school career. Nova and Carter were her only girl friends and this was the most normal she'd felt in a long time.

When they reached the bathroom Alaska strategically stood in front of Carter to hide her from sight as she pulled out the several bottles, picking one at random and pouring it into the empty cup she'd brought with her. "Cheers?" She proposed, extending the cup to her friends before downing as much as she could. It was going to be a good night.

Okay, he still wasn't good, so that was probably a good sign. Jace slowly made his way over to the stairs and sat down next to Raven. He looked at the ground in front of them in silence for a moment. In all honesty, he should probably just ditch. This wasn't the kind of thing he should get involved in, but Nova had instilled new confidence in him. And Jace hated seeing people upset, especially when it came to romance. It reminded him of his own mistakes with Gemma.

"Of course you should. It's... well, it's stupid to be upset over something like high school romance..." Jace mumbled. "They never last, anyway. But... I know that's easier said they done..." He wouldn't have even had the courage to come if Nova and him had broken up before this. Nova was... well, his everything at the moment.

"Have you... told her? Like how you feel?" He was waiting to be punched, or slapped, or yelled at. Something, anything that would remind him of who Raven truly was. Right now, she was like a shell of her former self, and Jace couldn't believe that some girl had managed to do this to her. "I mean, if you did, and she still went with Mason... well, Raven, you're better than someone's second choice. Okay? Especially picking Mason over you, that would be crazy."

Surely she hadn't told June yet. No one in their right mind would... well, personally, Jace wouldn't date either of them. Both Mason and Raven were too... them for him to ever consider. But still, Raven seemed the lesser of two evils.

"Yea, sounds like fun! Can't go wrong with free booze" He shook his hand back, he tried to match his handshake. "Yea, I'm not too bad. You're on the football team right? Nice game tonight." He looked up and over towards the drinks and food, "I'm going to go grab a juice box" He pointed over his shoulder with his thumbs. "I'll see you guys later tonight then" He gave his big smile towards them, and walked over towards the food tables.

"Cheers, to us, and a very fun night" She cheered her nip with Nova and Alaska, she already had a buzz on prior to getting to homecoming. This probably would be the liquid courage that she needed to tell Mason. She didn't even know how this would go, it could go completely fine, or he could have an outburst. She swallowed her drink in one gulp. "I'll be right back.. Mind holding on to my bag." She handed her bag to Alaska. "Have as much as you would like, and don't do anything I wouldn't do" She smirked, winking at Alaska, trying to not seem unsure or down. As confident as she was, she was nervous about how Mason was going to react. They were extremely close but sometimes he didn't want to see what was right in front of him.

She left the bathroom and headed back on to the dance floor, she took a deep breath before she made her way across the dance floor and over to Mason. "Sorry to interrupt" She wrapped her around his shoulder, smirking trying to seem as normal as possible. "I could use a smoke" She didn't smoke, she messed with her liver a lot, but she wasn't going to kill her lunges over something so stupid. "I promise I'll bring him right back" She grabbed Mason by the hand and started to drag him outside.

~ Hajar Giles ~

The music was rushing through her body with each pulse of the base, she was in love with the crowd and the closeness of the bodies as the music. "Oh I'll show you all my moves lovely." One of her favorite songs started flowing through the speakers, Mama by David Guetta ft Niki Minaj, the lights were changed and became a flurry of orange and reds, making her red lips shine as she grinned like a demon in the night. Her body was moving and grooving, her hips swayed as she pressed her body into Ryan's. "You've got the moves don't you?" Hajar purred against Ryan's ear with a smile, her fingers were snaked through his belt loops and pulled his hips into her body.

Ryan had listened to the music bump, the bass jump, and felt the crowd move with the music. It felt amazing. He loved it when Hajar had pulled him into her. This girl was capturing his heart. "Oh, you haven't even begun to see what I got." He said into her ear. He started to dance with her. Following the crowd as they all danced. "I gotta hand it to your friend Paul. He really knows how to throw a raging party." He said in her ear before taking a little nibble on her ear. He only did that for a second before pulling away. "Imagine thos losers at homecoming. They're porbably throwing each other's in tables or some fucking thing. While we're here."
