She gingerly took the cupcake from Mads and looked it over, quietly debating before carefully returning it to the table. "Thanks, but I'm good right now. Maybe later." Ash said, although she highly doubted that she would. Sugar just... wasn't her thing. Right. "Yeah, I destroyed Ryder at the carnival." Alright, mostly because he equally sucked but she just sucked slightly less. But the last thing Ash really wanted to do was dwell on Ryder all night. "Uh, sorry. Change of topic." Ash looked around the dance, and her gaze settled on the students already spilling onto the dance floor. "I'm totally taking you up on the dance offer later. I want to see your sweet moves."

Grace smiled back at him. “Hi, Mr. Andrews.” She greeted. as he opened the door, stepping inside. “Oh. Thank you.” Acknowledging the compliment. Grace almost thought that Mason and June wouldn’t of joined them for pictures, but it’s clear where Sawyer got her persuasion from. Stifling a laugh while she heard Sawyer curse. A few seconds later she emerged out of the room, and Grace took a breath at the sight of her. Chuckling while she mentioned the dress. “Me too.”

She happily accepted the kiss on the cheek, blushing all the while. “Thank you.” Grace replied quietly. Once June and Mason came in..some more begrudgingly than others. They took a few photos. Sawyer’s dad was incredibly sweet, Grace didn’t understand why she was so nervous in the first place. “It was nice to meet you too!” She said as they made their way out.

She shook her head at her words. “Don’t apologize. Overexcitement is my motto.” Grace chuckled. Looking over and taking her in for a second time, her smile widened. “You look amazing.”

She blinked a few times like she was coming out of a daze. Instead of gawking at Sawyer.. they should get going, smiling over at her she tilted her head towards the car.

And with that, they’ve finally made their way to the dance.

Martin & Stu

The faces of Martin and Stu paled when Elise placed the bottle of vodka on the table. It was as if the two had seen a ghost at the exact same time, which left them in silent horror.

‘T. . . Thanks so much, Elise.’ Martin did his best to rescue the situation, picking the bottle up and pretending to appreciate the label. ‘That’s so very kind of you. But you really didn’t have to bring anything.’ Especially not the vodka. 'We're just very happy to have you here for a meal with us.'

When Elise praised Stu for making the carbonara all by himself, the boy thanked her shyly. But as soon as she turned away to study her soup, he gave his Dad a long harsh glare, and Dad practically begged him with blinking eyes not to say anything. The boy's scowling face quickly turned into an innocent smile again as soon as Elise looked back up.

Martin then cleared his throat. (This totally wasn’t because of the food.)

‘Now Stu, Elise teaches drama and acting at the university.’ He was stirring his soup when he found Stu’s hair in it, and pretended like he didn't see it. ‘Stu's actually doing a musical at the moment. Isn’t that right?’

‘It’s Grease,’ the boy replied. ‘I’m not really in it, though. . . I mean, me and my friends, we’re just doing the music.’

‘Well that’s still quite an important role, I mean, it is a musical after all.’ He turned to Elise. ‘He’s been practicing a lot lately for it. I’m surprised the neighbour hasn’t knocked on our door yet.’ Martin joked as he pointed at the cheap plastic-looking keyboard in the corner of the room, which he’d picked up from Walmart a couple of weeks ago. ‘Stu, you’re going to play a song for Elise later, aren’t you?’

‘Mm-hm.’ Stu nodded happily. 'The song's called Für Elise, actually,' he pointed out. What a sweet coincidence! Martin totally didn’t stage any of this, and he totally didn’t pay Stu ten dollars to play that song.

~ Phoenix Wilson ~

Phoenix looked and felt immaculate, he had gone with a black pants-bright red button down combo and it was like he was worth a million dollars. It was easy to make Rae look like a movie star, it was his favorite thing in the world but it was easy for Rae cause she already looked like a movie star. “You’re sister is wonderful Maddy, don’t be a punk.” He gave Madison’s arm a light smack before whisking Raelynn off. “So... would you like to participate in my favorite school dance activity?” He gave her an amused look, “Stand in the corner like outcasts and shit talk everyone in the room.” His grin was wicked, a red headed mischievous devil.

“I wonder what I could buy with all this cash...” She rubbed her chin with the palm of her hand, stowing the bills away in her backpack before turning back to Ryan, “Nah I’ll just keep stealing..” She had a devilish smile, planting another few kisses on his lips as she looped her arms around his waist. “I’m sorry I put you in danger...” She sighed and shook her head, “I made a foolish little mistake and we barely got away with the skin of our teeth.”

"Why wait?" He finished his cupcake. "Is there something else we could be doing?" He asked curiously but only waiting a few seconds for a response, he reached out to grab her by the wrist before stopping himself. Dropping his hand to his side he walked a bit past her turning around and waving her to come with him. Before making his way into the crowd, he was extremely gangly, and really couldn't dance, but he wasn't here to perfect his dance moves. "I'm sure you're going to make me look even more like a fool out here, miss cheerleader." Smirking, "Show me your best moves"

"Absolutely, but first, I'm going to go grab a cupcake" She ran off to the tables before quickly making her way back over to Kerry. "This is the best way to spend the dance." She sad before stuffing the cupcake into her mouth. "But, if one really good song comes on, we're dancing, okay?" She smiled, was was 100% that if Kerry hadn't spilled that frap on her, she would never have come to the dance. She saw her brother talking to a short blonde, and then going out to the dance floor. "Hey, Ker, who is that?" She nudged him with her elbow. "Hanging out with my brother" It wasn't hard to miss Madison since he was so tall. He pretty much towered over everyone.

The girl continued to walk through the school untill she miraculously made it to the main hall. The place where everyone was. She was too shy to approach the large group of people that was having fun there, and the possibility of running into Stu was high, and that's kind of what she hoped for. But nonetheless, she took a slow stroll around the edges of the room until her eyes fell upon a guy sitting in the corner. He looked like he had a rough day, and there was something inside Eli that told her "Go see this guy and ask him how he's doing"... well, so she did. Approaching him, she bent over a bit to take a better look at him, and after a moment dragged a chair to sit next to him

"Uhm... H-Hi... are you okay?" She asked, tilting her head a bit. She tried to sound calm as to not spook him too much

Rory slouched further into his chair downing his third juice box wondering when the alcohol would hit him. He didn't put much of the vodka because he was still nervous so maybe it wasn't enough to even get tipsy. Before he discard the box and repeated the endless cycle he heard a voice. Rory couldn't believe someone wanted to approach him in this state since he looked terrible right now. While all the other teens were dressed in glittery short dresses and clean suits he was dressed in an old suit his dad lend him and and tie that he couldn't even keep tied properly.

"Yeah, I guess", he said not sure he should let the girl know exactly what was going on. But judging from the tear stains on his face he decided to vent. "My girlfriend left town all of sudden and didn't even tell me. So now I sitting here with a box full of half melted chocolate ad roses that will go in the trash soon". He looked inside the box of chocolate and most seemed to be intact. "Want some? My personal favorite is the caramel."

The girl looked at the chocolates the guy was offering. They looked... edible, to say the least... She reached out for one of them. She didn't want to be rude, as he was already not looking too good.
"You know, this is my first time I come to this shtick... so" The girl explained, biting down on the chocolate. It was... fine. It tasted like just regular milky chocolate, and she didn't mind eating some.
"Say... maybe we'll go outside? It should be okay to grab some fresh air into your lungs?" The girl offered, giving the boy a gentle smile, standing up and offering him her hand to him.
I mean, he needed someone to talk to, and she could overcome that barrier.

Her dress wasn't anything fancy, but the guy's dress was nonetheless... well, not there. It was a suit... a rather ragged suit, and a tie, that was... severely misshandled. But nevermind that, the girl would help him out... or at least try to

Raven held a pair of scissors in her hand, cutting a loose thread of the dress she’d just slipped on. Grinning at her reflection in the bathroom. Raven was more than satisfied with the dress, she managed to get together with various things she didn’t need anymore. An old table cloth she used as fabric, simple. Who was going to use her old dress anytime soon? As much as Raven liked kids. She wasn’t ready to be like another teenage Rivera with a child she most likely couldn’t afford at the moment. No thank you.

Walking her way out of the bathroom almost model-like. Nancy turning her head from her spot on the couch and standing up when she caught sight of her. “Well?” Raven said gesturing to herself. “How I’d do?” Nancy just gave her a thumbs up and smiled, reaching over and picking up a camera her grin faded as she noticed it was the polaroid that was all too familiar with homecoming. If only Mason was a few minutes late she would’ve— nope. That’s quitter talk.

Quickly regaining her grin which with a roll of her eyes turned into a smile as Nancy started to yell at her. Her grandmother turned towards her and smiled brightly. “You look beautiful.” Nancy agreed with the older woman’s words. She probably thought she was her mother. But it was fine, it still meant so much. “Thank you, Abuela.”

Raven took a cab, as much as she didn’t want to waste money.. walking alone in her neighborhood at night? Didn’t seem to be like a good idea. Date or no date, which after today she highly doubted she had one. Raven wasn’t going to let Shiloh pick her up anyway, she obviously didn’t like people knowing where she lived.. Mason knew, but she highly doubted he’d bring it up considering he has his own baggage to deal with.

Once arriving at the school she walked into the main hall first. Quickly finding a janitor and making up some ridiculous story that she left her phone in art class. He agreed to let her in, she took a piece of paper and folded it card like. Placing the cowboy hat on the desk and the card next to it.

‘I’m sorry.‘

After, she made her way into the gymnasium. Giving a small shrug at the efforts of the committee, it wasn’t bad.. good on them. She looked towards the cupcakes and juiceboxes and tried hard enough to not roll her eyes, c’mon. They weren’t children.. however her thoughts weren’t her actions as she picked up a cupcake and lifting a perfectly manicured finger eating only the frosting.

It wasn't exactly uncommon for people to greet him as they walked by. He was used to the occasional 'Hey Jace!' or similar expression suddenly appearing out of aether, accompanied by the familiar face of someone he'd met. So when the infamous Alaska politely greeted him on her way past, Jace's response was almost reflexive, giving a friendly smile and a polite greeting of his own. Then she was gone, off to visit what he assumed was one of the dance's key organizers. Her date maybe?

Jace didn't linger long on the thought. Clearly the fighty girl wouldn't be his entertainment for the moment. Looking back to the snack table from which she'd come, his bright blue gaze inevitably fell upon the cupcakes. He had yet to try one. Putting the objective of being sociable on hold for a moment, he returned to the best table in the room, arriving there shortly after a girl who he hadn't expected to see alone. Eating just the frosting off a cupcake. Of course. "You gonna waste the rest of that cupcake, Raven?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at the girl before stepping past her, grabbing a cupcake and turning back to hear her answer. A smirk on his face all the while. As if to punctuate his words, he set his juice box down on the table for just a moment to pull the cupcake's wrapping away. Just to sink a proper bite into the sweet treat.

Raven watched the people talk and dance around, despite looking the part.. she felt out of place. Why was she even here in the first place? Maybe for newspaper.. but she could’ve just asked Ryan to do it, She didn’t have a date, nor actual friends. Was there truly a point to being here?

Her thoughts were interrupted by Jace, she raised a brow at his words as he grabbed a cupcake of his own. When he decided to actually eat the cupcake, which Raven thought was just out of spite. She took a good amount of the frosting and putting it to her lips, dramatically closing her eyes, and savoring the taste. Before opening them and grinning in his direction teasingly, “Yes.” Raven answered his question.

“Do you just criticize everyone on how they eat their cupcakes? Or am i just special?” Narrowing her eyes playfully, they haven’t talked much before.. but she knew of him. Maybe Raven just ignored him all this time, Oh well. Either if he did or not, she couldn’t talk to everyone in school who wanted her attention.

She wished she could submit herself to the glorious identity that was, homecoming. However, she found it was increasingly difficult as she saw her tired state in the mirror. The date went horribly. Her and Raven were going horribly and Mason just hated everything. She stared in the mirror reaching up to touch her scar until Grace’s mom interrupted her.

Everything happened fast, she couldn’t even absorb Mason’s home life. She was curious about what his home looked like, but they were off to Sawyer’s. She did like Sawyer’s dad she expected someone tough like Sawyer, but she wasn’t disappointed. Then, they were at homecoming. She reached out and held Mason’s hand then looked at his leg. “Hey... you sure you should have the brace off?” She asked, he had it off for the date too. She wasn’t sure if he was hurting or not as they walked to the doors and she saw everyone. She just didn’t want to see a certain someone.

Rory smiled a bit as he saw the girl reach for the chocolate in the box. In a way she made his day slightly better just by reaching in and grabbing a chocolate despite it being quite gross. He finally stood up before leaning on the snack table for support since he was sitting in the chair for a few hours now. One by one he dropped the, the chocolate box, roses and the tie all in the name of trying to let go and move forward. He found a napkin crinkled up and used it to dry his tears so he could finally look as decent as he could wile wearing a suit from the seventies.

"Outside sounds good. Homecoming isn't really my thing especially since I have never been to one.", he said as he walked towards the exit. "By the way my name is Rory. What's yours?"

It was easy for her to notice the tension when she presented the vodka, and for a moment she wondered if perhaps Martin was a recovering alcoholic or something, which would just be a disappointment. Alcohol was a pinnacle of many of the dinners she attended, and it would be a shame to leave Martin behind.

She wasn't able to brood on the thought long as she took a bit of the pasta, trying to keep a forced smile on her face as she tasted the first bit. It was... okay, it was horrible. "This is delicious. It's been so long since I've had a nice... homecooked meal." Wow, she was reminded why she ate out every night of the week. To avoid horrors like this.

At the mention of a school play, Elise smiled, listening as Stu talked about it. "Grease?" Elise echoed. In her opinion, Grease was a horror on the play world, and one that should never be done again. But hey, that just her opinion. Of course the students were doing it, though. How original "That sounds marvelous. And for a musical, the music is the most important part of the play." She said, agreeing with Martin.

"You play the keyboard? That's such a difficult instrument to pick up." Elise commented, smiling as she looked towards the keyboard, and felt disappointment at the sucky piece of equipment. Was it something he'd pick up in the toddler section? Oh well, Elise couldn't accept him to know what a good keyboard looked like.

"That sounds lovely. What a beautiful song." There was no doubt Martin had set this up, or at least urged Stu towards this. Elise had been on plenty of dates and met children, and none had been quite so... welcoming of her presence. So yes, she was already appreciating the young freshman. "Stu, I must say, you are quite the young man. You must have the girls all over you at school."

Keeping his home life secret was Mason's biggest goal, so he'd actually been waiting outside when Grace pulled up. Letting them pick him up had been the last thing he wanted, but the chaos of getting to Homecoming meant that everyone had ignored what he'd said, so now here he was, getting into Grace's Jeep in a stupid white shirt with a stupid bowtie because a certain someone had stolen his only tie in order to look more "professional."

So tonight for him was already off to a bad start, and then Sawyer's dad was all pushy about pictures and the next thing Mason knew, he was taking pictures with June and struggling to keep a smile on his face. What? Mason wasn't a smiley person, and most of the time his "smiles" were actually just glorified smirks.

And finally, they were at the dance and all Mason wanted to do was go steal his tie back from Drake, but then June came up and laced her fingers through his, and his anger fell away... a little bit. He'd let Drake have some fun before claiming what was rightfully his. At the mention of his brace, Mason looked down at his leg and shrugged. "Yeah, I'll be fine for a night. My leg's already fucked up so it's not like it can get much worse." Mason pointed out.

He then led her into the dance, looking around at everyone who'd already arrived. His eyes settled on Carter for a moment and he nodded towards his friend, although he wasn't sure if she saw him, before his gaze moved on, glaring at Raven for a second. "So do you want to socialize first, dance, or try one of those cupcakes?" He asked, his voice a little louder than usual to be heard over the music.

Raven's response turned Jace's smirk into a smile. A playful, crooked smile. It definitely hadn't been a bad idea to approach this girl. "Hmm..." He pretended to think about her question for a moment, taking the time to swallow his bite of cupcake, before meeting her gaze as he answered. "Well, you're the first. So I guess that makes you special." His piercing blue eyes seemed to gleam in the lights as he spoke, amusement shining in his gaze. It really was a tragedy that he didn't talk to Raven more often. She was fun in a way that most people weren't.

Jace almost followed up his answer with another question. It really was quite odd that a flirt like her didn't seem to be with anyone, so he was curious to find out why. It didn't matter all that much though. Besides, it would probably take them off the tracks of the conversation they were on. Shallow though it was, Jace didn't really mind that much. He wouldn't have gone to Raven if he wanted substance in his interaction. So he stopped himself, filling his open mouth with cupcake again to disguise his hesitation, keeping his smile while he waited to hear what the girl would say.

She looked around herself. She saw a lot of faces and attempted to wave at them. Although, they were busy themselves. She looked over at Mason when he offered to do something. “Right. Um, cupcakes seem nice! They look good too. I’m surprised they even have them. At my old school there wasn’t even any food, so something sweet sounds pretty nice.” She smiled up at him as best as she could. Although she wasn’t sure if she choose the wrong thing. Maybe he wanted to dance or socialize. However, she started to walk over to the cupcakes, picking one up and giving it to him before grabbing one herself. “Ah. Before we get to anything... I’m sorry about the double date.” She said looking down at the cupcake. “But, I liked being there with you. And I just want to thank you for still doing it with me.” She said eventually looking up at him and taking a bite of the cupcake.

Raven grinned back and gave him a small shrug. “I guess it does.” Nodding slightly, her gaze wandered over the dance and landed on someone she very much expected to see, with.. of course another person she unfortunately expected to see accompanying her, as Mason glared in her direction. Raven threw him a teasing wink.

Once when he turned away, her eyes lingered on the red head. The dress itself giving her flashbacks to that day in the dressing room. Raven still didn’t know were they stood, they both were conflicted about their feelings.. but more-so June. Did June like the both of them? ..did the kiss mean nothing to her? Too many questions and yet so little time. She tore her gaze away from June.

Raven focused back on Jace. Quite sad neither of them had dates to homecoming, although.. she felt like neither him or her needed one. Eying him with curiosity, before asking. “So, cupcake. Tell me..” Raven started off, placing her own treat she was oh-so enjoying on the table.

“Why are you here with me when you could be dancing with so many other..” She thought about it for a second, unsure. Her gaze followed him head to toe, as though trying to figure him out. “Girls.” He didn’t seem like the type to be into guys, Raven took a guess. She was usually right.

“Although of course, I’m better than the rest of them.” She smiled amusedly, everyone knew by now Raven was cocky and confident. She wouldn’t be her if she didn’t show it.

“Just out of curiosity..” She shrugged. It was the truth, she was curious, actually asking the questions she’d wanted to know became her thing.

Seeing her wink at someone in the crowd, Jace attempted to follow Raven's gaze, turning his head slightly so his eyes could sweep over the rest of the room. No luck. There were too many people, and it seemed that whoever she was looking at had shifted their focus elsewhere.

It was the word cupcake that brought his attention, and his smile, back to Raven. Turns out he didn't even have to broach the subject of being dateless, as the girl asked the exact same question of him. He chuckled at the girl's follow up statement, amused by the arrogance that practically oozed out of her, but took a couple seconds to consider the question. Of course there was someone he wanted to be at homecoming with, but he wasn't going to bring that up. Best if his opinion of Ashton stayed secret for the moment. "I did say you're special, didn't I?" Jace teased, his voice drenched with a playful tone. He let those words stay in the air for a moment before laughing. "I'm not really a fan of dancing though. I wasn't planning to stick around too long, so I figured it'd be kinda pointless to bring a girl along." He answered, at least mostly honest. Omitting facts really was the best way to lie.

"What about you? How'd the 'best' girl wind up at homecoming without a date?" Since she'd opened the topic, Jace took the opportunity to ask his own question, turning the conversation away from him in the process. "Unless there's someone I haven't seen...?" He glanced back over the room again for a couple seconds, giving a little accent to his words before looking back to Raven.

As fast as they'd came they left and were suddenly at homecoming. Naturally, since parties weren't really her place especially school ones like this, she was a bit stiff as they made their way further inside. All of the sudden the collar of her shirt was was stiff and unforgiving. This was a dance. She'd have to dance and not just awkwardly stand in the corner with a drink. Sawyer reached up and pulled at her collar, trying to keep it from rubbing at her neck. The last thing she wanted to do was embarrass Grace with her sub par dancing skills. Maybe she should just try to avoid it? No. That wouldn't work. There was to be dancing tonight one way or another she'd just have to hype herself up for it.

"So...." Sawyer was struck with a unexpected shot of nervousness, she felt like a kid, "I kind of suck at dancing." Sawyer turned fully toward Grace and gave her a sheepish grin with her hands shoved in her pockets, "I was traumatized as a young child and never wanted to dance again." Her shoes were suddenly interesting.

"But...uh...I can totally try if you want?" That was the stupidest thing that had ever come out of her mouth. Sawyer Andrews you are a beast. You do not get flustered, what are you doing?

"Fuck. I'm like really bad at parties I have no idea what I'm doing."

Well, cupcakes weren't exactly the thing he wanted to do since Raven was already over there, but he followed June over, anyway, and tried to smile as she handed him a cupcake. Tried being the kicker here because let's face it, Mason's attempt at a smile just looked back, so he stopped and went back to his typical straight face expression.

"It's cool. This is why I don't do double dates. They always suck." He said as he peeled away the paper and took a bite of the cupcake. Too sweet, but what else would he expect from Drake? Shrugging, Mason swallowed and continued speaking. "Like, a normal date is hard enough to make go well, and then you add in double dates and something is bound to go wrong. Jealousy, anger. Something." His thoughts trailed back to his past, and he had to push away those horrible memories away.

"Why are you thanking me? It was a date, of course I was going to go. And I had a good time with you. I always have a good time with you. You're like..." He hesitated mid-speech. Mason was horrible with his words. "Like the one good thing that has ever happened. Like a little bit of light in the fucked up world."

Alright, maybe he had overdressed a little bit, but Jace refused to let this date, their first dance together, go badly. So he had overdressed, and picked Nova up at Alaska's house since apparently the two were now friends and had gotten ready together, and then gaped at her dress. It was gorgeous, it was perfect, and it reminded Jace that he had accidentally left the yellow beanie on top of his head. Woops. Well, at least now they kind of matched.

Shortly thereafter, they had arrived at the school and were heading into the dance, Jace's hand clasping Nova's. "I didn't mean to wear the beanie." He finally said, awkwardly, and hoped that she wouldn't be annoyed by it. "Like, I was going to bring it, but..." Jace pulled it from his head, looking down at it before tucking it into the pocket of his fancy pants. "Sorry. It's not very uh, formal? Anyway, are you ready to have the best night ever?" He asked, smiling sweetly at Nova as he did.

God, she was so beautiful. And that dress just made her look a million times better, if that was even possible. Nova was perfect, and Jace didn't know how he'd gotten so lucky.

Nova
He was so cute. Of course, he was always cute, but seeing Jace all dressed up and out of his element, a slight blush on his cheeks and the slightest bit of slickness to his hand that was neatly folded into hers, it was all just so perfect. It was hard for Nova to believe that after everything they had been through, all the drama and fights and well... blood. And now here they were, walking into the Homecoming dance as if it had never happened. And to be fair, Nova preferred it this way. She preferred this sort of sweet, innocent relationship over her past ones, where conflicts and fights were talked out like human beings, no fists or furniture being thrown. Her blonde boy would never do that to her, and it released a soothing feeling that radiated in her shoulders that she hadn’t felt before.

Although a small tension returned to Nova’s shoulders as Jace pulled the beanie from his head, apologizing for it as if it had been... wrong? “What’re you doing?” She all but whined, shaking her head with an obvious frown creasing her lips. The brunette hastily reached for her boyfriend’s pocket, pulling out the yellow beanie and fluffing it out a bit before placing it neatly atop that blonde mop of hair that she just adored so much. “I like the beanie,” Nova beamed, looping her fingers into his and giving a small squeeze. “And now that that is where it’s supposed to be, yes, I’m ready for the best night ever.”

June
She bit her lip when he mentioned double dates always go wrong. She had never been on one to know how they went. But now she knew. Well, maybe the date would have gone better if she learned to be a better person. She shouldn’t of kissed Raven, but she did and all she was doing was biting her lip about it. She took another bite of the cupcake and relaxed.

June blushed a bit when he said he enjoyed anything with her, she didn’t really expect that answer. She smiled a bit when he said that she was a bit of light. “I’m glad you feel that way. You felt like that too...” She wanted to believe him, but she felt like her words were being written down with pencil. At any moment they can be erased and the truth will come. She made his life worst. “Hm.” She threw the paper away when she finished her cupcake, trying to interrupt her thoughts. “Would you... want to dance?” She asked.

She grinned at being called special once again, Raven wasn't one to dislike someone when they complimented her. Nodding, "Yes, yes. You did." She waved a hand for him to continue, her grin widening as he laughed. She noticed Mason and June near them, narrowing her eyes at the two of them before deciding to continue her conversation with Jace.

Raven didn't want to watch them feed each-other cupcakes or whatever June wanted to do with him. If she stared anymore it'd ruin her night. Right now she was perfectly okay with having a conversation with a semi-stranger Narrowing her eyes as he told her why he wasn't with anyone. Semi-content with his answer, she gave a nod. When he said he didn't dance. She perked up. "I could teach you if you'd like." Raising a brow. "That way you could get all the girls for any dance."

"The best girl, had many options.." Not surprised when he asked about her own date. "Hm, no. I haven't seen him either." She shrugged uncaringly. "It might've been my fault, maybe he thought.. we'd be an actual thing?" Unsure of what Shiloh's true intentions were, she couldn't answer truthfully.

"Probably not. But i can assure you it is the first time i've been stood up." Raven said oddly with a smile, sure she didn't have a date. Making conversation with someone had upped her mood significantly. Besides she just wanted a date in the first place to not look so bad in-front of Mason. But she didn't really care about Mason or what he thought of her anymore. June kissed her back and that's all the assurement she needed.. even though that was still up in the air.

"Who needs dates right? We've got juice and cupcakes.." She trailed off unsure on what else they actually had.

Grace smiled proudly looking over the dance, glad that people seemed to be enjoying it. She looked over at Sawyer, when she admitted she couldn't dance. Grace couldn't help but chuckle at her embarrassment. Sawyer didn't have to dance if she didn't want to. As she continued Grace's smile faded momentarily when she remembered what Natalie said earlier today. Biting her lip, even though Natalie apologized for everything, maybe she was lying. What did Sawyer even do that ended up in.. reckless homicide. That seemed like.. a lot. But that didn't matter right now, as much as Grace wanted to know they were here to enjoy themselves. Blinking a few times coming out of thought.

"Uh..no, no. It's okay. You don't have to dance." Stepping closer to her to fix the collar she pulled at earlier. "But.. i do expect at least one slow dance." Grace told her, smiling adoringly. "It's super simple. I'll..even teach you."
