As soon as the red and blue lights were flashing Ryan's addrenaline started to pump. His eyes widened and he felt alive again."Oh god babe." He said looking back then to her. "On my count I want to to turn hard right. There's an old back road up here that leads up to the lookout." Ryan had found that road by accident. He was riding around town with his dad when his dad had turned down the road. He followed it up to the lookout. "There are a few diverging paths. We can lose him up there." He said looking at her. "1..." His adrenaline was pumping he slowly leaned forward. "2...." The turn was coming up. He could see it. It was right there. "3..." Only a second until she needed to to turn. "Now." He said.

As soon as he counted down to three, she jerked the wheel hard and prayed that he was right, in the end she was pleasantly surprised at fact the truck tires were on dirty and they weren’t wrapped around a tree. After a few minutes, she veered into the trees and came to a bone jerking stop, cutting the engine and lights. The police car sped on then two more raced behind it, they were none the wiser as the truck sat hidden in the dark trees. Hajar’s knuckles were white at this point, her grip on the wheel was strong and she has to peel away each finger slowly before leaning back in the seat with a loud sigh. Her adrenaline was pumping and she could feel her heart in her throat, “this... was a bad first time getting back into the game.” She whispered softly, her eyes were closed as she just sat there. “We need to ditch this truck and start walking...”

Ryan had held on as Hajar had quickly turned. The backpack had wiggled a little bit, but it was still in Ryan's grasp. He wasn't going to let that go until he was in the safely away from the truck. After a second he jumped out of the truck and ran over to Hajar's side. "Come on babe. Let's get the fuck out of here. We aren't that far from Westbrook." After she was out Ryan had went over to the back. He had stashed the black and red AR in the back, along with a couple of boxes of ammo and a magazine. "Sometimes it helps to think a head." The reason he had taken it was cause he liked it. "And it looks like if we run into any bears or wolves we have a better for of protection then just my handgun." He also had that. It was in his waistband. He felt like he was going to need that day. He was greatful that he had brought it. "We're about a 2 hour hike, that way." He said pointing into the woods. "From there we'll hit city limits, then it's a simple walk to the garage." He said.

Ryan was right, she needed to get up and get in gear cause this was the worse place to be, she sighed louder then anyone on earth when she saw the gun he had snatched. “I’m just gonna pretend you didn’t take that.” She shook her head at him as she took a long look around the woods, “Well we have the money, a new toy, and neither of us are in cuffs so I’ll just chock this one up to a win.” Hajar started walking, shifting close to Ryan, “I hate the dark woods...” She grumbled, she hasn’t complained yet so this was going to be her one bitch moment that she could use. “We’re gonna be living it up with this money..” she smiled over at him, “You can use most of it though.. I don’t mind, I only need a little really for this party we’ll be having a ball at..” she laughed, it was a hard laugh as the adrenaline and panic was leaving her body, what a night it had been.

Ryan chuckled as she got closer. He was gonna have some fun with her, but in a bit. Right now he wanted to get away from the cops. "Well honestly, I'm gonna just use the cash to fix up my bike. See about getting her back on the road." He said with his weapon pointed down range. "So why don't we split it down the middle 50-50. Who know's maybe you'll find something, and buy it with out having to steal it." He said witha chuckle. He continued to walk.

It was about an hour into their two hour hike when Ryan heard a twig snap. "You know there's an old superstition passed down from one generation to another. It's said that if two lovers are walking in the woods, then when the night is at it's darkest then they would hear a low grumbling. This is the first sign. The second is footsteps. Loud and thunderous, like a giant." Ryan's stomach had let out a low grumble. He hadn't eaten anything that day and was terribly hungry. "The last thing is they would hear the words." He cleared his throat and raised the pitch of his voice and distorted it. "Welcome Lovers, to the forest of the forrbiden fruit." He said.

“Oh Ryan...” She shook her head and laughed, “You know I’m just gonna steal whatever isn’t nailed to the floor.” Hajar sighed softly and settled into the walk, letting her mind wander freely in its own little imagination land.

The crackle of a twig in the distance got her attention so she shifted a step closer to Ryan, bumping shoulders with him. “I swear to god Ryan Maxwell... I will beat with that gun you stole then sell it and pocket the money.” She gave him a look, “Jesus I hate the bloody woods .” Her voice was a little growl but then another twig cracked this time louder and closer so she jumped but tried not to let Ryan see. “You owe me something good, I don’t know what but good.” Hajar was demanding, she had set this up and created the situation but Ryan needed to make it up. Women were a mystery.

Ryan had grinned. "I'll get you the biggest bestest thing I can think of." He said removed his right hand from the trigger. Hajar was on his left so his right hand was going to have to be the thing that did it. He had secretly recorded himself saying the distorted verbige. He queitly turned the volume all the way up on his phone. He heard another twig snap. "Perfect." He thought as his thumb hit the play button.

"Welcome Lovers, to the forest of the forrbiden fruit.". The voice called out.

Ryan quickly put his phone in his back pocket, put his right hand on the rifle and swung the barrel around. "Who's there?" He said.

No responce.

"Look, we're just on our way back to town, our car broke down and we're just traveling there." He said swinging the barrel back again.

The message repeated it's self. "Welcome lovers, to the forest of the forrbiden fruit." It said. This time Ryan's stomach had let out a low grumble from the hunger."Come on babe. Let's get out of here." Ryan said still holding the weapon up.

Hajar jumped at the distorted voice coming out of the deep dark woods and her knife was flicking around her fingers, the blade shimmered in the pale moonlight that was weeping through the tree tops. She was listening to Ryan when a light caught her eye and she looked down at his pocket, “Ryan Maxwell!” She slapped him in the back of the head, “You’re an asshole.” She huffed and marched ahead of him, “I was gonna give you something once we got back but now you get nothin.” Hajar huffed and looked over her shoulder at him. “You suck.”

Dak Dak

Ryan let out a small laugh after Hajar had hit him in the back of the head. "Hajar wait up." He said catching up to her. "Babe, it was only a joke. A little fun to help pass the time." He said taking his hand off his weapon. "Hajar... How about this... When we get back and I fix Margrette up. You can have her. All fixed up, cleaned up, and best of yet, I'll still get you something nice." He said putting a hand on her shoulder. He was going to fix up Margrette and he would like for Hajar to have her. It would be better then her current bike, and Ryan would be happier knowing that he personally looked at her bike and made sure it was taken care of. "So how about it? I'll give you my bike, and something else that's big too." He said smiling at her.

Hajar stopped and leaned into Ryan, looking up at him, “You really want me to have her?” Her eyebrow cocked curiously and she tilted her head to the side, “I don’t think I can refuse a gift like... well I can’t refuse anything from you can I baby.” Her lips found their way to his in the dark, pulling him closer to her body. It was a long kiss, a quiet kiss that brought her body and mind back to reality, grounding her. “I think I love you Ryan, even though some times I want to beat you with your own leg.” She smiled ruefully against his lips, “Oh? Oh something big? I can only imagine what that could be...”

Alaska

original.gif

Alaska was in a fairly good mood for once, her dinner with Carter had gone well and she was proud to say she'd made a new friend. It had only taken her a year, but she'd finally made three whole friends at Westbrook. Things were starting to look up for her, maybe this year would be better than last.

Nova had been kind enough to help her get ready, the two girls had a dance party in her bathroom while they got ready and Alaska had almost burned her hand off using the curling iron as a microphone. They'd hung out until Nova's boyfriend had come to pick her up, promising they'd see each other a the dance. Jace seemed nice enough, but personally Alaska would never date him. He'd hidden behind a girl when she'd yelled at him, even little neck-tie boy had more balls than him.

"Come on, Lasky. I know you like to be fashionably late but I don't." Chase called, earning an eye roll from his younger sister. After rechecking her appearance in the mirror for the tenth time, she hurried down the stairs to meet her brother. It was pretty lame showing up to homecoming with your older brother, but Drake had been at school all day prepping for the dance so they'd had to meet there.

Upon entering, Alaska was rather impressed by the decorations. Drake's countless hours at school had really paid off, she'd have to make sure to compliment him. She quickly spotted her lovely date, taking a detour by the snack table before heading over to grab a few juice boxes, saying a polite hello to the other Jace, not Nova's beanie bitch.

"Here's looking at you, kid." Alaska greeted, quoting Casa Blanca as she handed Drake a juice and clinked it with her own in a toast. "I have to admit, you did a damn good job." While school dances weren't really Alaska's thing, Drake had worked hard and she was determined to make sure they had the night of their lives. Besides, the after parties were always a blast.

Spotting a familiar red-head, Alaska waved her over with a smile as she appreciated the tight scarlet dress that clung to her like a glove. "You look hot." She stated quite bluntly, giving Carter a week and extending a juice box for her to take. 'Juice box?" The brunette offered.

Though girls had practically thrown themselves at Chase in the weeks leading up to homecoming, he'd decided to go stag and see where he ended up. Most high school girls were too vapid for his taste, they only cared about looks and how many instagram followers they had. High school was coming to an end and he would be going off to college, there was no point in a high school fling now.

It was a little weird arriving with his little sister, but she'd needed a ride and it was better than wasting gas driving separate. After she wandered away to find her friends he was left alone to stand awkwardly near the entrance, saying his polite hellos to half the girls who walked through the door. He decided to check out the snack table, wondering what Drake had pulled off this time.

"Juice boxes, huh?"

Elizabeth

The bell rang. Elizabeth slowly got up from her bed, her hair messy as always... but she knew this was the day of the homecoming... which she totally was prepared for and she had someone to go out with....
She sighed, standing up and heading to kitchen, greeting Chicka with a soft head rub, before getting herself refueled. She decided on a simple breakfast - A sandvich with cheese, put into the microwave, with a side of black tea. She ate it all up rather quickly, and then headed to her wardrobe, opening it. Looking for her dress she bought yesterday evening, she finally found it - A nice, dark blue dress. She took it and dressed into it, looking into the mirror. Eli was not the type of girl to show off, and so this suited her perfectly, she thought to herself. And so, without further ado, she put on her jeans jacket in order to not freeze out there, and after saying her goodbyes to Chicka, she got out of the door, heading right towards the ferry.

As she got out of the ferry, her mood worsened. She had no one to go with, no one knew who she was. What was she even thinking. But, no matter, the ferry already went back to the island to pick up someone else, there was no turning back. Elizabeth took a deep breath and just.. headed off to school, slowly but surely walking through the main gates.

Ryan's heart skipped a beat when she said those words. "I think I love you Ryan." Ryan cared for her a lot. He didn't want anything bad to happen to her. He didn't want to see her sad, and didn't even want someone to hurt her, let alone look at her in a manner. "I think I might just love you back Hajar." He said as he leaned down and kissed her. He wrapped one arm her. He was hers and she was his. "This girl... She's something else." He thought before pulling away from the kiss. "Now why don't we get out of this spooky forest and back home." He said kissing her one last time before leading her out of the forrest.

The rest of the jounry in the forrest was quiet. Ryan had made sure that Hajar was close by him. There wasn't really anything interesting in the woods that would have done anything. Maybe some bunnies and foxes, but both Ryan and Hajar were big enough to scare them off. They were now in the city, so they wouldn't have to worry about being in the dark. "Alright, we're not that far from the garage. Are we heading there?" He asked.

Hajar smiled, she was happy to hear those words on his lips, she had really come to love and care for him in the time that they had known each other. She had spent most of her life being cold and calculated against people, loving only her brothers but Ryan had found his way past her walls and had taken a place close to her heart. “Yes please let’s leave this lovely hell.” She held close to him, enjoying his warmth as they continued their journey through the woods.

The city was so nice, even in the dark, it was the best place in the world and Hajar could’ve done a black flip in joy when she saw the city scape. “Yeah let’s go, I’m ready to take a seat... I’d like the best seat in the house actually.” She winked at him and laughed, grabbing his hand tightly in her own as their fingers twisted together.

Ryan had put his gun away before they entered the city, along with taking off his gloves. It would of been suspcious if he was walking down the road with a rifle in his hands. He loved the feeling of their hands coiled up together. He lead her down the street, with him on the side of the road. After a few minutes they arrived at the garage. He opened the door for her and lead her inside. He set the bag down, took the gun out of his waist band and set everything on the workbench in the back. After he locked everything up. "Well we're safe and sound in the garage. We have the money, and it looks like we got some time for just you and I." He said walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her. "So, what shall we do?" He said holding her close to him.

With the door shut behind them, it was like the whole world had melted away into her and Ryan, what a magical feeling. Her arms snaked around his neck, pulling him close to her, “Well I would to sit and roll around in all this money we have but we should divide it up real quick then I’ve got some ideas of what to do with a handsome stud like you.” Hajar kisses his chin then the center of his chest, “Why do you have to be so tall... it makes kissing you very difficult Ryan.” She loved saying his name, it always felt so good on her tongue when the words curled and slipped past her lips.

Dak Dak

"I'm so tall because I can grab thing's that other people can't. I'm tall because I can be." He said holding her for a moment. "But if I was shorter then it would be a lot harder for me to reach the top shelf." He said with a smile. When she talked about deving out the money, Ryan smiled."Sure thing." He said removing his hands from her waist. He walked over to the money and dumpped the contenst out. They were in bundles of 2 thousand dollars. He split them up evenly except for the last one. He broke that one up into two even portions and set one on one side, the other on the other side. "Total is about 24 grand. You get 12, I get 12. An even split." He said walking back over to her. He held her from behind. "You have yours and I have mine." He said with a smile, as he kissed her neck.

Grace

After her.. interesting conversation with Natalie, she went to the school to help Drake set the final touches and everything else up. He was obviously intent on making it perfect, it was sweet. She made sure to reassure him that everything was perfect before going back home to change. Upon going upstairs she noticed Kate taking pictures of June after she was done getting ready. She shook her head and tried to ignore the pang of heartbreak, and continued upstairs. Taking her time to get ready, when she got a knock on her door. Opening it, She didn't expect her mother to be there. "Uh.." Grace waited for her to talk or make any move to do anything.

When she didn't speak, Grace just shook her head, and turned around and went back to her place in the mirror. Putting on earrings, while her mother came up beside her. She looked down at the floor, almost afraid to say anything. "Do you hate me?" Grace asked. The silence just stood between them, who knew silence could feel almost deafening. When she felt her mother move her hair gently, as she started to fix it. She looked back up to the mirror. "I don't hate you Gracie." Kate said, barely looking at her and was more fixed on the task at hand. Taking a few bobby pins off to the side, pinning her hair in place. Grace took a deep breath, blinking back tears. And nodding slightly. Her mother met her eyes in the mirror, giving her a soft smile. Which Grace returned, it wasn't a talk. But.. it was a start.

After she finished getting ready, with some help of her mom. Grace was feeling optimistic about tonight, it helped that her mother and her semi-made up. But despite everything she was a bit nervous, she'd have to meet Sawyer's dad. What if he didn't like her? "June! Ready to go whenever you are." Grace yelled out from downstairs. Once June actually came down. "You look great." Grace told her, walking towards the door. They were about to leave when Kate yelled at them to wait for a second, rolling her eyes, but chuckling when David brought out a camera. Taking her place next to June, and smiling at the camera. After saying their goodbyes, They both got into the car and made their way to Mason's house.

Once he got in the car, Grace gave a small wave in his direction. Raising a brow at June teasingly, she wasn't opposed to taking credit for this. Buzzed Grace dared them to kiss each-other, maybe it actually worked out for the best. Tapping her fingers on the steering wheel as she drove to Sawyer's house. Why was she so nervous? It shouldn't be that big a deal.. Then again Grace wouldn't know, she'd only been in like... one relationship before, and that was with a guy. I'm sure everyone can take a guess why it didn't work out. Taking a breath as she pulled up to her house, getting out of the car. And walking up to the door. Waiting a moment hesitating before she rang the bell.

Martin & Stu

‘Stu! You forgot the tomato soup!’ Martin rushed over to the pot. He opened the lid and all the trapped steam blasted him several feet backwards.

Now the piece de resistance. Stu took his signature dish off the flame, burning his hand in the process. OK, so he might have overcooked it a little and it ended up looking more like scrambled eggs than a creamy pasta. But he did everything by the book. Sort of. So it should still taste good, right?

Martin was scraping the blackened bits off the bottom of the pot and reintegrating it into the soup. The whole thing smelt like charcoal, but he did toss in a handful of oregano and a couple sprigs of thyme to cover it up. So all was well again.

Out of the cabinet came their best ceramic plates and bowls. Martin slopped the thick soup into the bowls with little regard for aesthetics. ‘Dad! Not like that!’ Stu snatched the ladle from his Dad a little too violently and now there were bits of tomato in their hair.

The doorbell rang much to their dismay. Elise wasn’t supposed to be here for another twenty minutes! In a panic, Martin threw himself at the nearest dish towel and accidentally smothered his face with grease, before springing away toward the door, spraying air freshener into the room as he did.

The door flew open. ‘Goodness me, Elise. You’re quite early. Please, do come in. You look wonderful.’ They exchanged awkward kisses on the cheeks. Martin smelt like smoked bacon. Then he showed her in nervously, running ahead of her as if to block her view of the kitchen. ’Please, this way. Food’s almost ready. Can I take your coat?’

The little table for three was meticulously decorated. He pulled a chair for Elise. ‘I won’t be a moment,’ Martin said smiling, ‘I wanted to help, but Stu insisted he did the cooking all by himself. He’s very stubborn, but I better check he doesn’t set the kitchen on fire!’ Then Martin, having thrown his son under the bus, disappeared into the post-apocalyptic world that was their kitchen.

Homecoming came faster than he expected and he didn't even bother planning for it like he usually would have if Angelina didn't leave town all of sudden. In his mind they had a perfect relationship built on trust and decent friendship but in reality their relationship was mostly based on lust and lies. He couldn't be the boyfriend that she needed as he was still dealing with the deep emotional scars and Angelina couldn't be the support he needed insisting that Rory needed to tell her his problems when all he wanted was a few days and a shoulder to cry on. So instead of going to driving classes so he could get his license, or buying chocolate in a cliche pink heart box or even buying a suit that would force him to open his college fund he was sitting in a plastic chair in one his dad's old suits with a box of slightly melted chocolate a juice box that he quickly filled with vodka from a flask he secretly brought in.

He noticed Alaska walking to table and almost mistook her for Angelina. Although they looked nothing alike but he was a bit drunk and she had similar brown hair and bright eyes that would leave Rory breathless whenever he was around Angelina.

He had just taken a bite of one of the cupcakes when he was approached by Ash, mouth slightly full of cupcake. He covered his mouth "Hey!" He took one swallow of what was left of the cupcake in his mouth so he wouldn't be completely embarrassed talking with his mouth full. "Of course I wouldn't have missed it." He smirked looking at Ash putting his half eaten cupcake down on the table behind him. "You look great! Are you glad you came, despite the fact your date wasn't able to make it?" Putting his hands in his back pockets. "Let me know if you need a dance partner, I can sometimes not trip over my own feet" He begun to imitate a waltz and spin himself around for a moment, stopping back to face Ash giving a small laugh. He was mostly joking, he knew she wanted to be here with the guy who how thrown another kid into a table, but that didn't mean that he wasn't going to make sure she still had fun all the same.

She caught sight of Alaska waving her over, and smiled at her compliment. "How nice of you to state the obvious." She joked, a playful smile across her lips. "You look amazing!" She took the juice box from her hand, and raised an eyebrow. "You know, this is great, but I do prefer something just a bit stronger." She bit her lip and moved to block Drake's sight standing shoulder to shoulder with Alaska. She opened her clutch to show her the variety of nips she had packed. "Whenever you feel ready, come pick your poison." She whispered in her ear, closing her clutch and smiling a big, suspicious smile turning back to face Drake. "Great job on the decorations kid, this is probably the best homecoming has ever looked." As she poked her juice box with its straw taking a sip.

"Well..." Ash bit her lip, thinking it over for a moment, and then shrugged. "Hard to say. I haven't done anything but sit in a corner, and now talk to you, so... Right now I can't say my night has been the best." So far, it had just been plain boring, but hey, she'd only been there for a few minutes. There was plenty of time to turn that around... hopefully. She giggled at his little spin. "But I'll probably have to take you up on that dance offer. Dancing alone is just sad, and I don't have anyone else. Not that, like, you would be my last choice or something." She quickly added the last part in hopes of not horribly offending Mads.

He relaxed a bit more when Alaska approached him, and complimented the dance. "Thanks. Grace had a lot of good ideas, so like, I'm quite proud of this." Drake admitted. "But the decorations don't look better than you." He said with a grin as he looked her up and down. Sure, he'd already seen the dress when they had gone dress shopping, but she looked a lot... well... hotter now that she was all cleaned up and fancy, and no longer smelled like hockey sweat.

Drake took the juice box from Alaska, clinking it against hers, and then took a long sip. Ah. Juice. Best idea he ever had. He watched as she waved over a redhead, one that Drake recognized as Mason's friend -- Carter. Not exactly his cup of tea, but he'd seen her plenty of times before at parties and around school. He was going to politely compliment her, when she rudely moved in between him and Alaska, saying something to her and earning an irritated look from Drake.

Of course, the look only lasted for a second before Drake returned to his bright, happy self. "You look really good, Carter. Like a beautiful carrot." Oh, wait, that probably wasn't very nice. "Like a cool glass of tomato juice." Okay, that was probably even worse. "Like... like... a hot ruby." Okay, he finally decided to just stop talking and took a nice long drink from his juice box.

When Martin opened the door, it was easy to tell that he had been rushing. A lot. They exchanged a quick kiss on the cheek before Martin was hurrying around, speaking a mile a minute, and Elise just tried to keep the smile down on her face while she listened. "Oh, that would be lovely." She said, slipping out of her coat and passing it to Martin as she walked into the flat, taking her time looking around while she held a bottle that she had brought as a thank you gift.

Elise was surprised to hear that Stu had made all of this on his own, and then she found herself wishing that Martin had assisted. The air fresheners couldn't cover up the thick smell of burnt... well, burnt everything. "Wow, all by himself?" She echoed. "That is impressive. What a sweet son you have." A sweet son that was definitely not looking at a job in the culinary field.

She took a seat at the table as Martin and Stu brought out the food, and Elise had to question what it even was in her head. Finally, she decided she might as well present her gift. "I brought a bottle of vodka for the trouble." She explained as she set it down gently in the middle of the table, smiling as she did so.

"And Stu, I hear you made this all by yourself. That's quite... impressive." Well, to say the least.

"You come and grab me anytime you feel like dancing, I'll be your stand in for the night" He gave her a wide grin, and then picked up an uneaten cupcake and handing it to her. "They are pretty dang good, might be a nice pick me up." He then picked up his half eaten cupcake and raised it up a bit and took another bite. "All I've done is eat this cupcake, and chat with you, so I think we're in the same boat so far." He awkwardly stood there in silents for a moment, with his signature giant smile plastered on his face. "So.. I'm glad those basketball lessons have come in handy so far" He chuckled.

Sawyer's shoes had disappeared into the abyss. For the life of her she couldn't seem to find them no matter where the hell she looked. Even employing her father to help hadn't turned up any shoes. She couldn't rightly show up to homecoming in her worn put sneakers so it was imperative that they find those dress shoes, and soon. Oliver was in the process of practically turning the loving room inside out when he heard a knock from the door. He placed the couch back down on the floor carefully and made his way over to it. When the door was swung open a very smiley Oliver Andrews greeted Grace with excitement.

"Oh, would you look at you. You look nice." He stepped aside to let Grace in, talking all the while, "We're having some complications of the shoe kind at the moment." He glanced outside at Grace's jeep and spotted Mason and June. Oliver turned to Grace and made an exasperated expression at her.

"Invite your friends in, hun. We have pictures to take!" He waved at the Jeep trying to get Mason and June's attention. A loud thump emanated from the direction of Sawyer's room and a very loud curse followed it. Oliver chuckled and called out to his daughter from the door, "You doing all right in there, Sprout?"

"Yes. Yes. I found the damn shoes." Sawyer's voice answered and s few seconds later the girl herself came hopping down the hallway pulling said shoes over her feet. The pink suit and tan blazer under it was complemented by equally tan shoes. Sawyer straightened up fast when she spotted Grace and her ponytail whipped her in the face. But hair aside, her eyes were wide and her feet frozen in place.

"Well...damn. I'm so glad I picked that dress." She grinned, finally managing to move from her spit and greet Grace with a kiss on her cheek and a whisper in her ear, "You look beautiful." Sawyer pulled away and turned to smile at her dad, ushering him with a hand. "Let's get these stupid pictures over with, dad. We've gotta go." Oliver perked up and nodded, beginning to usher them around to get the perfect pictures.

After many protests on Sawyer's end and many a failed picture they were finally able to escape Oliver Andrews' clutches.

"It was nice to meet you!" Oliver called from the door, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!" That had Sawyer rolling her eyes and calling out that she would before Oliver shut the door.

"I'm sorry." Sawyer rubbed at the back of her neck, "He gets a little overexcited about things."
