~ Shiloh Mitchel ~

"How bout you call me Shiloh, I'm not a horse last time I checked... Well." Shiloh shrugged, "Some parts of me are like a horse." He smirked lazily, giving her a nudge with his elbow before wandering off towards the mirror. "I haven't done a mirror maze in a long time... I always ran into the damn thing... I usually broke it to." He shook his head with a little chuckle that came from deep down in his chest, "Pair up, whoever gets through with the fastest time wins. Fair enough?" He looked between the trio quietly, tipping his hat back up on his head and crossing his arms across his chest. "I'm sure we can beat you guys... Right Raven? Little bit of teamwork always goes the extra mile."

June
She looked over at the group as they stood in line. “Right! Whoever is the fastest.” She said clapping her hands together. She turned to look at the entrance. “Then after we can go to the Ferris Wheel.” She told them before giving the man running it her ticket. She walked over to the entrance. “Someone time me.” She moved her feet, ready to take off. “Catch everyone on the flip side.” She used two fingers and saluted them before she saw the timer start.

She went inside and immediately hit her face. She shook her head and felt the mirror. “I’m fine!” She called out before extending her hands forward to guide herself. She didn’t particularly like seeing so many images of herself. She did like her outfit, but she found herself looking at the scar on her cheek. She felt like she was bulldozing through it and ran up the stairs once she did. Several more crashes then she found the slide. She slid down and hopped up. Turns out her time was 4 minutes and 34 seconds. But, she felt like that was a great time.

Raven

Raven raised her eyebrows in surprise at the southern boy’s words she chuckled as he walked off. “Damn, cowboy.” Muttering to herself. Following the rest to the mirror. “I’ve never been in one.” She shrugged, not surprised Shiloh that broke the mirrors before. Grinning towards Shiloh. “Hell yeah.” Raven bumped into Shiloh with her shoulder playfully. Between the two of them, of course they have it in the bag. Mason was likely slow because of his leg.. right? And June.. she wondered if she went on runs, or exercised or.. Maybe Raven shouldn’t think about her body at the moment.

Rolling her eyes at the girl’s excitement. Pullling up her phone “Okay, timing. Go.” She said with a tilt of her head. After she went in a few seconds later she heard the thud and facepalmed. Raven looked at Mason with curiosity, did he really like her? Was he just going to be a jerk with her? Remembering their conversation from before, he said being a gentleman was.. what? A waste? Raven couldn’t put a finger on what was exactly said.

But it pissed her off either way. Giving a grin to June when she came back. “Right.” She nodded. “My turn.” Raven slowly walked to the entrance. “Woo.” She said, now quickly running in. A little taken aback at all the reflections of herself just staring back at her, Raven wasn’t always cocky.. but she looked good. Maybe she was always cocky. Leave her alone.

Raven easily found her way through, depsite it being her first time in a maze, it was fairly simple. Sliding down and making her way back to the group sauntering her way towards them with a smirk on her face. She peeked at her phone she handed to Shiloh. “Two minutes and fifty seconds.” Raven smiled confidently, taking Shiloh’s hat off his head and placing it on her own. “‘Not bad if i do say so myself.” Eying the rest of the group.

Alaska

tenor.gif

It was awkward now that Alaska had realized this was supposed to be a date. If Ryder had said that in the first place she wouldn't have tagged along, but she probably should've known since they had slept together. Usually, Alaska knew everything about Ryder's life and vice versa, but lately things had been too distant between them for her to feel comfortable asking him what was going on with him and Ash. She was relieved as Carter came over, happy to have a friendly face to save her from third-wheeling, and a pretty one at that.

"Hey, red." Alaska greeted turning to dace the red-head with a smile. They'd only really talked once, but they had the same flirty attitude and she could see herself befriending Carter easily. "Yeah, sadly I'm stuck with this one." She joked, glancing over to her taller twin. For once it seemed a girl preferred her over Ryder, truly a miracle. "I didn't know you worked here?" All three Vaughn siblings had come to the fair every year with their parents before the split, but it had been a while since she'd been down to the boardwalk.

Ryder

50A64237-5D17-4A3E-9FA9-4D3551ECD511.gif

"Oh yeah? You're on blondie!" Ryder teased, giving his small companion a gentle shove. Competition was his middle name, though he'd probably be a gentlemen and let Ash win since it was their first date. Even with his sister around, he'd make this the best date Ash had ever had. Speaking of his sister, it seemed one of her friends had arrived, commenting on how hot the twins were.

"Oh..uh thanks?" He replied, feeling a little awkward with Ash standing right there. Maybe a few weeks ago he would've flirted back, but his attention was solely on Ash now and nothing would change that. Besides, the red-head seemed more into Alaska anyways, he'd make sure to ask his sister about that on the car ride home.

"We'll meet up later?" He pointed at Alaska before grabbing Ash by the hand and leading her over to the nearest game booth. "You, my lady, are going home with the biggest stuffed animal this park has to offer." It was an awfully bold thing to declare, but Ryder had grown up playing these carnival games and he was going to beat them all just to impress his date.

"Sorry about Alaska, she kind of invited herself and well...have you seen the puppy dog eyes she can do?" He apologized, feeling simultaneously guilty for ruining his date and not spending time with his sister. There would be plenty of time for him and Alaska to make up, for right now Ash was the most important lady in his life.

Martin & Stu

.

Martin and Stu are in aprons, dancing to the splattering of burnt olive oil.

‘You’re burning the bacon, Stu!’

‘I’m not! . . . I’m making it crispy.’

‘That’s burnt. Take it off the heat!’

‘It’s fine, Dad, trust me.’

He trusted his son. Then the fire alarm went off blaring through their flat. Martin panicked, climbed up a chair, and ended up banging his head on the range hood.

He unscrewed the alarm from the ceiling and then switched off the button on the underside, sighing in relief. A thick smoke enveloped the room. ‘Christ! I told you to take it off the heat.’ Martin dropped down, coughing, massaging the bump on his head.

‘Where are the eggs!?!’

‘Alright, alright! Just a moment. How many?’

‘Three. . . I mean four!’ Stu said, ‘just the yolks, though.’ Then Dad picked up four eggs and cracked them into a bowl and started whisking.

‘Here.’

‘I said only the yolks, Dad!’

‘We’re not wasting the egg whites!’

‘Well, do you want it to be good for Elise or not?!’

Martin panicked. Of course he wanted it to be good for Elise. He wanted it to be perfect. So he tossed the whole bowl into the sink and started all over again. This time, he separated the yolk from the white with the shell, just like how he saw Gordon Ramsay do it on TV. But Martin was no Michelin star chef. He was no chef at all. So bits of the egg shell went into the mix, and he wasn’t wearing his glasses so he didn’t see them. Hopefully they won’t end up on Elise’s plate!

‘Now grate the cheese, Dad,’ Stu said, stirring the spaghetti in the pot.

Martin was clueless, but at least his son was taking real control of the kitchen. He often saw his mother cook, and he wanted the meal to be cooked to perfection. Dad had been going on endlessly about Elise for a month now. It would be a shame if their carbonara killed her.

Mason

He watched as first June went through, then Raven. Well, the pessimist in Mason knew that no matter what he did, they weren't going to win this. Still, he'd give it a try for June, who probably still thought that they had some kind of chance.

"Nice run, Rivera." He commented before taking in a deep breath, and handing his phone to June with the timer pulled up. Well, here went nothing. "Wish me luck." Mason grumbled, and headed off for the mirror maze.

At this point, Mason was more worried about not breaking his face than actually winning. However, mirror mazes were kind of easy to figure out once you knew what you were looking for, and the maze hadn't changed from when he used to run through them with Drake. So Mason easily slipped through, and appeared on the other side, coming down to see what his time was. "Two minutes and sixteen seconds. Nice."

--------------------------------------------------------

Ash

When Carter approached and overlooked her in favor of the twins, Ash was, well, slightly bothered -- and slightly more bothered that she was also calling Ryder attractive, although well, she was right. But hey, Alaska decided to ditch with Carter, which meant that the date was officially back on. She would have to thank Carter later, if she could get the other girl to actually accept her existence.

Ash smiled when he took her hand and pulled her away. "Ooh, maybe I can take the stuffed animal as my date to Homecoming." She joked.... or partially joked, anyway. It wasn't like she had anyone else to take her, after all. Thanks a lot, Ryder.

"Alright, what carnival games are you like really bad at?" Ash had never really come down here growing up. Maybe a couple times, but usually her parents were too busy with work to take her. "I got some basketball lessons from this dude at school so like, are there any carnival games like that?" Okay, Ash still sucked at basketball. But whatever.

~ Shiloh Mitchell ~

It was his turn so he headed inside the narrow halls and sharp zig zags, he held his hands out and moved slowly, almost carefully. Shiloh had learned long ago that he was to big of a kid to go careening down these mirrored halls like a pinball going haywire, especially since he had broken the one back in his hometown and got it shutdown for the rest of the carnival. He almost tripped over his own feet coming out of the exit but he caught himself and smiled at the attendant as he got his time before wandering over to the group. "Three minutes..." He shrugged, "Raven won this one but I think June had the best recovery." His smile was sweet, "I hope you don't bruise easy, you hit that window kinda hard."

"I just started this past summer for extra cash, and mostly just to have a reason to leave the house." Watching as Ryder and Ash left. "Whats your favorite game or ride, I can pretty much get us in anywhere for free" She was still a bit distracted but was trying to make the most of hanging out and maybe making a new friend. She wasn't great at befriending others, most people didn't like her very abrasive personality. "Or I know where we can get some decent food"

She frowned immediately when Raven already had the fastest time. She looked over at Mason and clicked the timer. He was fast as well. She shouldn’t be surprised, he used to be football captain afterall brace or no brace. “Good job.” She said with a smile. “However, I think I’ll have the slowest time.” She shrugged playfully. It didn’t really matter in the end.

And in the end she was right. She looked over at Shiloh and blushed when he asked if she was alright. She quickly waved him off and touched her face. “Yeah I’m fine. I should’ve known not to right head first into a mirror maze.” She laughed shyly and fixed her sleeve before looking behind the group. “As the winners, you get to go on the Ferris wheel first then huh?” She said to Shiloh and Raven. Then, she looked over at Mason and held his hand once more. She didn’t understand how she was feeling. His hand did feel nice, it was big and warm like a gentle embrace. However, she wasn’t sure why she was doing it. Was it because she knew Raven was watching? Was it because this was suppose to be their date. Was it because she loved him? It was only holding hands, but it meant more to her. She just didn’t know how. “Let’s go stand in line...” She said to them and started to walk over.

This day was going to be long.

Raven raised a brow when Mason commented on her time, not sure whether it was actually a compliment or not. But she decided not to say anything about it. After Mason ran out with a surprisingly better time then she had especially with the brace. He was faster than she thought, Raven was against giving him a compliment, rolling her eyes when June did. Teasingly smiling at the rest of the group as she spoke. “It shouldn’t be a surprise we won.” She shrugged.

Putting her hands up in defense before Mason had decided to throw a bitch fit. “I only mean because of his brace, it wasn’t fair to begin with.” Tilting her head towards him. Looking at Shiloh when June mentioned the ferris wheel. Raven was hoping she’d get a chance to actually talk to June about the kiss, her gaze caught their hands intertwining. This was ridiculous. Of course she was gonna act like this, it was a double date. Raven just hated because she was pretending like nothing ever happened.

Sighing heavily as they began to walk over to the ferris wheel. Waiting in line while the attendant made a motion for the two to go in. Raven’s mood suddenly perked up as she got an idea. “Girls in one, boys in another?” Raven suggested. “It’s only fair for the winner to pick who goes with who.” She grinned, although Mason got the fastest time.. they still won. Raven didn’t give them a chance to answer, taking a hold of June’s hand pulling her along into the cart.

As the attendant was making sure the bar was closed, Raven paid no attention to them and only to June. Scanning her face for any sort of reaction or emotion. A few moments later the ride actually started, this was perfect. As much as June wanted to leave.. well she couldn’t. Raven had time to talk to her.

“Are you just going to pretend that kiss never happened?”

Natalie

Natalie had only been in Italy for a year. A year away from the town she'd grown up in. The town that had molded her and then broke her. She had never expected much of her parents but their little excursion to Italy had been the worst year of her life. It was like they just decided to completely forget she existed. Aside from the healthy sum of her weekly allowance, they paid absolutely no attention to her. As much as she hated the trap that she felt Westbrook was she found herself wanting to go back. At least there her parents didn't have much else to pay attention to than her. At least there she was their daughter and not some maid or burden. In Westbrook Natalie Porter existed.

Natalie had never planned what had happened with Sawyer. They'd broken up ages ago and Natalie though she was over it. But the second she stepped foot in that cafeteria and saw her sitting there everything came flooding back. Every soft word of reassurance, every laugh, every time that girl had made her feel wanted. She hadn't planned to realize she still loved Sawyer Andrews, but here she was. Truthfully, the way she'd approached the situation probably wasn't the best. Sawyer had looked absolutely terrified and had she been anyone else Natalie would've enjoyed that terrified look. But Natalie saw the way Sawyer looked at that Grace girl and it pissed her off. When Natalie Porter got pissed off it wasn't good for anyone, not even herself.

Natalie was pissed off and that's how she ended up standing in a foreign driveway in the middle of the day with a bat hanging from her fingers. The jeep in front of her hadn't been touched. She was just standing there staring at the thing lost in her own thoughts. Who was this girl that had suddenly swooped in and had Sawyer wrapped around her finger? What made her so special, huh? Nstalie's grip on the bat tightened. Maybe it was that whole innocent act she had going on. She didn't fool Natalie. She saw right through that act. The bat was lifted into the air.

Or was it an act at all? Maybe Natalie was the one acting.

Suddenly all traces if anger in Natalie disappeared and she wiped at her eyes surprised to find them wet. Her feet carried her without any thought to the door of Grace Jackson's house and her fist knocked with a mind of it's own. Natalie had no idea what she was doing but there was no use in turning back now.

June
She was caught off guard when Raven dragged her into the cart. The whole time she was in the line she was anticipating getting on a cart with Mason. She didn’t know how things would go with them being alone together. She was nervous up until Raven said that girls should go with girls and boys with boys. She couldn’t even interject as they were seating in the cart and the door closed behind them. With the push of the button they were off, much to June’s dismay.

She looked over at Raven as she immediately started with what June had been avoiding. She rubbed her arm and looked away. “The kiss...” She started. “Was uncalled for. I would like to know when someone is going to do...that.” She said with the shake of her head.

Raven was surprised she actually acknowledged her question. She still looked at her even though June avoid eye contact. “You told me to do something and mean it.” Raven meant it. Obviously she meant it. Why couldn’t she see that? Raven shook her head and sighed. “Uncalled for?” She said questionably.

“You kissed me back. ” Raven hated this. She didn’t understand why she couldn’t be real with her for a second.

She was getting impatient, how could June ignore her this much. They were practically the only two up there at the moment.

“Am i really that bad you can’t even look at me?”

Grace was laying on the couch with her sketchbook, doodling absentmindly. David was at work, June was on a date. And her mother wasn’t home, she’d gotten excited when she heard about June’s date. No doubt because it was with a boy, she didn’t get it. June was cool and all.. but why ignore your own daughter and fawn over someone else’s child? Grace felt guilty that she yelled at her the other day. It’d be so much more simple if her mother was just.. different. Easier to talk to maybe? All of this was starting to give Grace a headache.

A sharp knock on the door distracted her from her thoughts, throwing the book down the coffee table near her. Making her way to the door and opening it, surprised to see Natalie there. She eyed the bat off to the side, and just sighed heavily. Grace wasn’t in the mood to be threatened. But Natalie didn’t seem angry.. she seemed.. sad.

“Natalie..” Grace started off, with a raise of her brows. “What are you doing here?” She asked maybe she wanted to yell at her, or judging by the bat maybe she wanted to fight? Grace eyed for before she spoke again, “..are you okay?” She asked softly. Just because Natalie was.. difficult to deal with the other day doesn’t mean she didn’t deserve kindness.

She gripped her hands into fists. It felt like forever before she said something. “I know that you meant it. And I’m glad you did. And I don’t know why I kissed you back. It’s easy to think it’s because I liked it, but I don’t know what it means.” She slowly looked up at her, pausing to look at her eyes.

“I don’t know how I feel about anything.” She admitted. “I wanna pretend it didn’t happen. Not only because of Mason, but I don’t know how I feel. While everyone has moved on from Georgia... I’m stuck. I’m scared I’m latching on to everything because I don’t want to be like that night.” It was so cold. The ground was muddy and her heart was in shatters. She doesn’t want a relationship to be controlled by remembering how it felt to be alone. She just wants there to be love not fear. “That’s why the kiss you pulled was uncalled for. In the dressing room too? What if someone heard us.” Sadness turning into anger as she talked and looked at Raven.

Grace answered the door. Of course she answered the door. What else would she do? Natalie stood there silent for a moment, fidgeting with the bat in her hand. Speaking of, she should probably get rid of that. Natalie tossed the thing off to the side. With the absence of the bat, Natalie's hands knit together and wrung themselves and her eyes dropped to her feet. When they rose again they were curious. This girl standing in front of her, this girl next door, she confused the hell out of Natalie.

"I don't know. I...um...I was going to bust your windows out but I didn't." She paused for a moment and drew her eyebrows together, "I don't understand why she loves you." Natalie sighed and ran a hand through her hair, "The way she looks at you...I've never seen her look at anyone that way, you know?" She took a step back. This was ridiculous what was she doing here? It was too late.

"I'm sorry. I'll go. I don't know why I even came." Natalie went to turn around and walk off. There was something wrong with her she had no idea what was happening.

What does that even mean.. she was glad she meant it? Raven didn’t say anything to that.. because she wasn’t even sure how she felt herself. But she knew that, that kiss was.. something she’d been wanting to do for a while. Rolling her eyes when she mentioned Mason, of course.. she wanted to forget about it because of Mason.

Softening as she told her about Georgia and latching on. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it deciding not to. ‘You can latch onto me.’ Can she? Raven didn’t understand her feelings at the moment. But just because she couldn’t label them didn’t mean anything, she wanted June. That’s the easiest way she could put It. Raven put a comforting hand on her arm. “I’m positive no-one wants to relive that night. But i have your back MJ...I won’t abandon you.” Treat people how you’d like to be treated right? The saying or otherwise, it was the truth.

Withdrawing her hand when she lashed out at her, putting her heads in her hands and groaning for a moment, and turning back to her. “Oh my god.” Raven took a deep breath. “I kissed you, because i wanted to.” She explained, their conversation was obviously growing heated.

“So what if someone heard us? I can care less about everyone else.” Raising her voice to match her’s. “And you know that. I’m selfish.” Raven narrowed her eyes at June.

“I wanted you, so i kissed you. It’s as simple as that..I won’t apologize for it.” Her eyes fell to her lips for the smallest second before looking away from her completely.

“Do what you want. I’m not just going to forget that kiss.”

Grace watched as she threw the bat to the side, furrowing her brows as Natalie continued. Despite her wanting to bust the windows, she held an amused smile. It was much easier to drop it when as she talked about Sawyer, Grace bit her lip feeling sorry for Natalie, she was hurting. And it was easy to tell.

Sawyer didn’t love her. Right? They’ve only been dating for a month, although it had been an amazing month. Grace shook her head, Natalie was obviously upset about it all. Grace could figure out her own feelings on Sawyer later, probably won’t be very hard to do. But back to the person in front of her.

Her eyes softened as she stared at Natalie, and watched as she turned to leave. “Wait.” What is you doing, don’t regret this Grace. “I-..don’t be sorry.” She had no idea on what to say right now.

“You don’t have to go..” Grace said hesitantly. Maybe she shouldn’t be alone.. but maybe hanging out with your ex-girlfriend’s new girlfriend would kind of suck. Doesn’t mean she can’t be a friend? ..or well Just someone helping out someone else.

“We could.. uh.. hang out.. i mean if you want?” Giving her a small shrug, and a soft smile. “Tea or coffee.. we could just.. draw or.. sit in slience.. whatever you want?” Grace didn’t know what to do here. But she felt so bad. Maybe Natalie wasn’t a bad person, she was just.. misunderstood?

She was comforted by her saying she had her back for a moment. Then, she frowned as she told about her reasoning for kissing her. It made her cross her arms and as she listened, she shook her head. “Wait, you only kissed me because you wanted to. Like how a kid wants a toy. I know you’re not selfish, Raven. Instead of telling me how much you want me, why don’t you tell me how much you love me? Loving and wanting are two different things. And when you kiss someone” she raised her hands as she talked, “it shouldn’t be because you want to, I want it to be because there’s love somewhere.” She explained before dropping her hands.

She leaned back with a sigh. “No one here gets it.” She mumbled as she saw the trees and streets as they reached the top. It would be beautiful if her feelings were wrapped up in knots.

Raven stood quiet as she spoke, she kissed her because she wanted to, yeah. Because.. because why? Why was she so infatuated with one redhead. Her eyes snapping to June’s when she mentioned love, Raven never felt actual.. love before. It just seemed like something that was never in the cards for her, so she never really thought about it. But when the girl she so desperately and obviously wants is talking about it..

“This isn’t some fairytale, June.” She explained. “I.. never wanted to kiss someone more. And for me that’s.. i don’t know, okay! Maybe it’s my version of love. If that’s..” ‘What i even feel.’ “You’re not a toy to me.“ she shook her head. ‘No one gets it.’ Gets what.. love?

“I don’t get it, no. I have no idea how to.” Once again looking away from her and down at the carnival beneath them. Staring at the people below who were likely having much better conversations than this one.

June was just messing with her head at this point, she didn’t know what to feel or what to even do. A few moments of slience passed unsure of what to say.

“But.. maybe you can teach me?” Raven spoke in a much softer voice this time, the anger just.. disappeared. Turning her head slightly in her direction while they reached the top seeing the sun behind her radiating the red hair she loved so much.

Ryder felt bad about being suspended and not being allowed to attend homecoming, but he had something planned to surprise Ash with at homecoming. Being suspended wasn't going to stop him from taking Ash to homecoming, and he couldn't wait to see the surprise on her face when he showed up, flowers in hand of course.

"Basket ball lessons, huh?" He asked, a little jealous that in his absence she's started hanging out with another boy, though he couldn't really blame her. From now on there would be no punching, he couldn't let some douche like Mason ruin his relationship with Ash.

"Yeah they've got one where you shoot hoops, but I hope you're ready to lose." The football player teased as he walked over to the carnival game. While Ryder was tall, he was actually not great at basketball, so maybe he could get away with pretending to let Ash win. Pretending.

Alaska completely understood the need to get out of the house, she spent almost all of her extra time at the rink because it was better than being home and having her mother lecture her about studying. She wanted to ask Carter about it, but it wasn't exactly a normal first time hanging out question.

"Rollercoaster, duh." Alaska teased, pleasantly surprised by how nice Carter's offer was. Maybe she could get used to this making friends thing. "But food sounds good too, so I'll leave it up to you oh wise Carnival Master."

Natalie turned around at the sound of Grace saying wait and looked at her in confusion. She didn't understand how someone could be so insufferably nice. Insufferable as it was, she found herself nodding and walking back up to the door with a hand rubbing nervously at her arm. This day had turned out to be a lot different than she'd expected. Natalie managed begrudging a smile at Grace.

"Sure. You're...uh...I mean, thanks." Natalie followed Grace into the house and grinned a little as she looked around. Quaint. It was making her claustrophobic. She took a seat on the couch, her posture rigid and unforgiving. Years of quality manners training had made her a the picture of a stuck up snob. "I don't suppose you know a whole lot about your girlfriend?" Natalie asked inquisitivly, maybe sounding a bit smug.

"Were you aware of her little run in with the law back in Dayton? Almost got arrested for reckless homicide." Natalie smiled, "Though I suppose that's not my story to tell." She knew she was being conniving, it was her go to fall back. Natalie had no idea how to react to Grace's hospitality so she just fell straight back into her comfort zone.

"I apologize for even bringing it up."

He wasn't much into the rides, so he took off to stand by the side and wait for June and Raven to finish up with their little ride. "Sorry. I'm not doing that. I think the ferris wheel is a waste of money. Who just wants to ride in something that just goes around in circles slowly?" Mason said, shaking his head in annoyance. The only things Mason liked were rollercoasters, really, or anything that would make you feel sick at the end. Anything that would make you scared for your life.

"So, are you having fun with Raven? I mean, it looks like she's having a lot of fun using you." Mason said, rather bluntly to Shiloh. Man, all he really wanted right now was a cigarette. He was irritated from the festival with all of the kids that reminded him of Ari, and with Raven constantly butting in, and his leg was still hurting.

Yes, Mason wasn't supposed to take off his brace for another week. But hey, he wanted to be able to be normal for the night to try and impress June, although it was impossible to do with Raven and Shiloh constantly there. Mason wasn't one for PDA -- even holding hands was usually too far for him. It wasn't so much strangers that he was worried about, but people that they knew. Mason hated being teased, and it always felt like that's all people did. His goal?

Ash

"Yes. Turns out I'm terrible, but I got slightly better." With Mads help, of course, but Ash wasn't going to tell Ryder that. No, she was going to fake it until she made it. Ten minutes of basketball practice had brought her to this point, for this very reason of destroying Ryder in a game that she sucked out.

"Please." She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "I was born to play basketball. You were born to like... tackle people." Despite being a cheerleader and having watched football games for years, Ash still had little idea what happened or how points or whatever went. She pretty much just cheered whenever other people started.

Ash then spotted said shooty game in the distance, and squeezed Ryder's hand in excitement. "Okay, okay. Are you ready to get destroyed? I'm gonna win you a big stuffed animal or something for you to cry into when you get destroyed." Alright, Ash was definitely pushing her luck but maybe if she just kept convincing him he sucked, he actually would.

Elise

This had been a long time coming, and Elise actually found herself excited to go to Martin's and meet his son. She had spent plenty of time getting ready, and was now walking down the hallway to his apartment when a rather... putrid smell hit her nose. Was something on fire? Well, she didn't see any smoke, so she assumed that some imbecile who had never cooked before had burned something. Elise rolled her eyes and continued walking to the flat.

The smell got worse... and worse... until she was at Martin's door, and suddenly Elise realized which flat that horrid smell was coming from. Somehow, they had managed to burn whatever it was they were making. Oh boy. There was a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach as she summoned up the courage to knock on the door.

Okay, okay. She had to act like it still tasted good, no matter how much it looked like ash. Stu had worked hard on this, after all, and the last thing she wanted to do was offend him. So Elise took in a deep breath, and plastered a smile on her face before gently knocking on the door and then taking a step back to wait for them to answer.

~ Shiloh Mitchell ~

"Y'know..." Shiloh sighed softly, "I wish you wore that brace on your leg tonight cause I think I might've used it to beat the hell out of you." He folded his arms across his chest and his face went hard then stone, giving Mason the ugliest look possible. Shiloh was content to sit this ride out, Raven wasn't pushing to get with him and he wasn't here to get her affections either. but being reminded that he being used for someone else's gains made him pissed. "Now I don't know how blind you, it seems it takes a lot to get through that thick fucking skull you have so I'll spell out in plain English." His voice was harder and gruffer as he stepped into Mason's personal space, his blue eyes glittered and gleamed. "Yeah, I know Raven's using me because I've been used by woman before.. but can you think of any reason she is using me? Why is she here? Did you ever think of that or are you so dense that it's not crossing your mind?" His fists were curled up in tight balls and Shiloh had a snarl on his face that matched the snarl of a wolf trapped in a hunter's trap, but as much as he wanted to lay hands on this idiot Shiloh wasn't going to devolve. "I know when I'm being used but I was trying to be the good guy, ignore it for everyone's sake but since you seem so intent on poking the bear I figured I'd tell you." Shiloh was done, he was ready to go somewhere else and far from these vapid people so he stepped back from Mason, then began to walk away. His body was rigid, but he turned to speak to Mason one more time, "I've not got long in this town... But Mason," His eyes were almost glowing, "Cross my path again and I'll beat the hell out of you." He spat the words then continued to stalk off, forgetting he left his hat with Raven but it was just a hat, he could always get a new one, "I need a fucking drink." Shiloh hissed, heading off to get back to his truck.

Grace

Grace has surprised when she agreed, but glad nonetheless. Giving a nod to her in return to her thanks. As she walked back inside. Making her way to the kitchen, frowning as she didn't find any tea or coffee. Looking through the cabinets and finding hot chocolate instead, she shrugged. It'll do.

Hearing Natalie's words from the living room she furrowed her brows, Grace was semi-confident that she knew Sawyer. Despite knowing her for a little over a month. Her eyes widened when Natalie told her. Reckless homicide? Fixing the drinks and shaking her head in confusion. Sawyer.. had her moments, but that didn't sound like her.. did it?

Walking back into the living room with two cups, handing it over to her. "It's hot chocolate instead, sorry." Giving her a apologetic smile, and shaking her head at the words she'd said previously earlier. "And..don't apologize." Maybe Grace shouldn't pry, but she couldn't help but wonder. Taking a seat beside her.

"Um.." Should just ask Sawyer.. but she wanted to know. "Can you tell me what happened? With the whole.. law thing in Dayton." She bit her lip, awaiting an answer. "I mean.. it's okay, you don't have to tell me.." She shrugged taking a sip of her drink. Eying the sketchbook on the table, picking it up and putting it away before she sat back down next to Natalie.
