"Its fried chicken, not great but since the adults arent home its cool"


He finished up eating as Emily walked back in, cleaning up he stood and ruffled Madisons hair.


"I leave you in Emily's capable hands, I'm going for a run"


Heading outside in his running gear he put in the ear phones and hit play on his running play list.


Looking up he spotted Ryder across the street. Jamie had no problems with him but knew he had a thing for Emily


even if she was oblivious to it. Throwing a wink and a fake air kiss he took off on his run laughing as the first song played.

Ryder laughed at Jamie's fake air kiss. That boy was so strange. He was nice though. Still smiling, Ryder picked up a basketball and started playing by himself. Once in a while he glanced over at the group home, not really sure what he was looking for.

Simon blushed lightly at that and nervously pushed his bangs back over his eyes. He nodded quickly. "uhm, o-okay" He said quietly at Leo's question. He looked at his eyes and smiled a little. He wasn't sure how things escalated this quickly, but somehow, they did. He never felt like this towards someone since a long time ago. It seemed insane.

Madison nodded quickly, her mouth open as she breaths out quickly, she's been dying for food, and sleep to. Walking by the bag she began to go on her tippie-toes, her heels covered by her black tights as she moves her flats to the side. The aroma of the food already got her curious as she takes the carton of the food out of the bag, she then looks up, hearing the steps of the Brunette enter the kitchen.

"I leave you in Emily's capable hands, I'm going for a run"

Her hair ruffled and her food in hand, she watched as the older teen left. A Confident one? Was he trying to hit on her? You don't see many guys around her age who would ruffle any girls hair, especially on the first day they met. Either a confident one, or something else. She thought to herself, she then pondered a bit before shrugging. He must be a confident. As he left she quickly sat down in the chair, her legs crosses as her the blue from her toes show from the tights. Madi then looked at Emily with a smile before taking the chicken out of the box and taking a bite of it.


"You- wahn't suhm Emihly?" She says, her face stuffed with the chicken as she swallows it. It was always a horrible trait with Madison, her manners weren't very lady like (As well as her manly metabolism), but she never cared; all that was really on her mind was food, family, and where she was going to sleep.

He chuckled a bit and poked the boys cheek "You're turning a bit pink there" he teased and stuck his tongue out before finally letting go of his wrist and shoving his hands in his pockets before swaying back and forth trying to figure out what they should do "Hmmmm~" he hummed and looked around the area with a shrug "We could...go...swimming in the lake" he suggested with a smirk since neither of them had extra clothes so that meant it'd have to be naked, not that anyone could see anything in the murky lake water.

He blushed brightly. "o-okay" He said, biting his lip. He looked down nervously, tapping his fingers together. He held his notebook to his chest shyly. He couldn't even think about why he just went with it. Normally with anyone else he'd say a sarcastic protest. But this time it was different. He felt as if he simply could not protest.

He smiled and started walking with him towards the lake, glancing back at him every so often, He was so happy all of a sudden that it almost scared him. He hadn't been happy in a long time though he was still worried something would happen to make Simon hate him. Just like everyone else. "When did you learn to draw like that?" he asked absently

Jamie had broken into a sprint and was making his way along the foot path that wound towards the lake.


He was well into his stride when he spotted Leo with what appeared to be another boy.


Nearly stumbling over his feet, he slowed down and began to walk over to them, coming up behind Leo


Hey there little brother, why don't you introduce me to your friend here





He said as he looked from Leo to Simon and back again. He knew he was acting like a typical douche older brother but thats how he rolled.


Emily was the enabler and he was the s**t stirrer.

He felt someone come up behind him and stiffened, growling at the guy warningly "Have we met? I don't believe we have so kindly fuck off" he spat angrily as he turned and glared at him, crossing his arms over his chest though this guy could be another foster he just didn't meet because Leo never really felt the need to since he knew he'd just be taken back to the system anyway. That's how it always went.

Jamie just grinned and completely ignored Leo's response, now looking at Simon.


I'm Jamie, Leo's older foster brother. I mean he acts like a lone wolf but we love him anyway





Chuckling as he ruffled Leo's hair again before moving on.


Try not to do anything too heavy now and if you do, use protection.





Breaking off into a sprint he made a run for the end of the pathway and he ran the long away around before he reached the house again.


Panting, he opened his water bottle and took a deep drink

Emily smiled at Madison "I don't usually pass on food, because, well, it's food. But I've already eaten" She said shrugging. She checked the clock and realized it was almost ten. She opened the front door to see if Jamie was back yet "I'll be right back" she said to Madison, so she leaned on the door frame and waited. She saw a boy around their age playing basket ball outside and waved at him.

Sam turned the corner onto the cul de sac where the group home was located. She waved at the boy playing basketball. Her eyes were red and her walk was slow. She waved at Ryder again and walked into the house. When she opened the door her arms went into a shield position in front of her eyes. She went into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of chicken and the bag of chips she was eating out of earlier. She sat down next to Madi and began to shovel the food into her mouth.

Ryder saw Emily waving though the kitchen window. He nodded back at her, before continuing playing. She was pretty hot. He could definitely imagine hooking up with her some time.

Simon blushed. "W-Well it's not that great so, um-" He then saw Jamie and quickly stayed quiet. He still didn't like talking to new people. He was so used to staying quiet, that it just came naturally. He nodded quickly and looked at the ground, holding his notebook to his chest and looking down shyly. As the other boy left he looked back up at Leo quietly.

He huffed in annoyance "The fuck was that?" he mouthed to Simon as the guy left before taking his hand and pulling him along faster until they got to the lake and he smirked a bit, pulling him to a slightly more secluded spot, away from people before he started stripping his clothes off and tossed his bag to the side.

Simon shrugged sheepishly before blushing and following. He watched Leo and blushed even brighter and looked down. He modestly took his shirt off and looked away with a frown as he took his shoes off and rested his feet in the lake. He was shy about his body. He was shy about anything when it really came to it. He didn't want to disappoint Leo or embarrass himself.

He watched him and smiled a little as he backed up before sprinting full-force past him and leaping into the lake with a big splash. He swam down underneath and held his breath for quite a long time and didn't come back up. He was trying to scare Simon into thinking he drowned or something.

Jamie made it home and gave Emily an affectionate kiss on the cheek

He said playfully, sitting down and watching tv on the sofa. He would tell Emily and their parents later about Leo's attitude.


Plus the guy was fooling around.

Simon bit his lip and tried to see if he was still alive. "L-Leo..?" He asked but got nothing. He nervously, but quickly, slipped his pants off and dove in to get him and pulled him up. He didn't understand why he cared so much. It may have see cruel, but with anyone else that he never found interesting he'd just allow them to stay there. It wasn't worth it if they haven't done anything beneficial to him. It was a lesson, if anything.

He blinked when he was pulled up and laughed a bit "Knew I'd get you in one way or another" he said as he held onto Simon's waist to keep him from sinking as the lake was deeper than he thought it was. He shook his head and flipped his hair out of his face with another cute giggle. He couldn't believe he was doing this, with someone else anyway. He'd normally do shit like this all the time but he never took anyone with him for the sake of getting in trouble but Simon seemed pretty trustworthy, if for no other reason than he'd be too shy to say anything.

Still eating Madison began to think to herself, she usually does this when she eats alone, her imagination begins to play with her. She began to think of Ethan and Zach, thinking they'll maybe be here tomorrow, or maybe they're asleep, and... and their Father is just leaving them here for a couple of days was all; her mind continues to cloud with optimism.


After finishing her food, and her belly full, Madi laid back in her chair, she felt like a fat king who finished a feast as she licked the breading & grease from her fingers. Watching the corridor she noticed the younger brunette, Sam was back from he 'trip.' What she was doing, who the hell knows; but still Madison gave her greeting smile as her blue eyes stared at Sam as the young teen took some chips and food from the bag and began to eat it like a hog.


Well at least we both enjoy food... Madison thought to herself, watching Sam as she devours the chicken from the bag.

Without guessing she already knew who it was, the voice was to familiar and the way the person portrayed what they said it was definitely the confident older brother guy who wen't out for a jog. Continuing to stare at Sam, Madi bit her lip, studying the brunette it's weird that she was gone for so long, yet her curiosity got the best of her as she spoke. "Sooo, how was your trip?" Madison said curiously, her voice imitating the sound that a white girl makes when they're talking to their friends about there first date as her cheeks rises a bit , her face shows she wants to know more about what's going on with Sam.

Sam was staring at the floor eating her chicken until she heard a voice.


"Sooo, how was your trip?"


She paused for a moment before processing what the girl had said.


"Oh, it was nice. I met up with some friends that live in the area. It was the first time I've seen them in months."


Sam wasn't lying she just didn't disclose that her 'friend' was actually her boyfriend, but she didn't want to give a bad impression. It was both of the girls's first night here and saying 'oh i went to the park to smoke and hook up with my boyfriend' was not something she ever planned to do. She crossed her ankles under the table and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, waiting for her response.

Jamie soon fell asleep on the sofa, snoring loudly as he did. Jamie and Emily had been the first 2 kids taken in by the family.


He was fond of them and because of their persistence he was able to relax enough to let them in.


It was because of this that Jamie tried to play up the goofy big brother role to the newer kids as they came into the house.


To make them feel more at home. Unfortunately there were kids like Leo who were too wary. Jamie would be keeping an eye on him

Joel nodded to Eric and began to quietly eat his ramen. He was rather hungry actually, which made a change. He was hardly ever hungry lately. This simply proved how much ramen could somehow comfort him. He remained silent, not wanting to cause any more trouble. He had already interrupted two people's night with his stupid condition. He didn't want to cause more trouble, afraid he would be hurt for it.

"Oh!-" Madison said in surprise, her eyes growing quiet heavy, as a yawn escapes the blondes lips. "Well, that's great! I use to hang out with my friends as well, but... you know." She said awkwardly, scratching her head, the few seconds of silence felt like hours as her face to hot as the silence filled the kitchen.


"Well, I'm gonna get some sleep, we'll talk some more tomorrow." She finally spoke, kicking her flats from under the table and gets out of the kitchen. Slipping on her flats she finally left the kitchen, as she walked to the corridor she stopped, finally realizing something as her lips pout. "So where'd did Emily put my stuff....?" She said to herself.
