Hitch sighed and motioned for him to come over, while he moved the chair next to himself to face him. "Come. Sit."

Hitch, having been waiting for Bragi's response, had by now finished his second drink. The waiter arrived with his sandwich, and having anticipated Hitch's drinking pattern, another drink as well. He again, fled the room as Hitch began to eat the toasted bread with a knife and fork. He was shocked to hear that Ilim decided to join them, if not only Physically now, but also consciously once more. He ignored the boy for a moment, talking to Ilim First. "Beyond the general Updates that I have been sending to your Tablet, not much I am afraid. (He spoke around the small amount of food in his mouth, and he swallowed quickly and dabbed his crumb free mouth with a serviette, mostly out of habit) Uh, sorry. There, was an instance that did prove very entertaining to see. A few security cameras only caught most of the fringes of the interaction, but luckily - it was clear at the time, and I could get the full interaction from one of my observation satellites." He reached into his pocked and pulled out another, similar tablet than before - and gave it to Ilim. On it, queued to play, was a video where Jamie and the others where playing with what was clearly not a human. There were a few files about the lady they fought - but nothing really consequential. Hitch sipped his drink, and continued to eat his sandwich.

"Oh, yes. That instance..." He glanced at Bragi. "Yes, that demon had possessed the witch that summoned it. Amanda dispatched it of course with some help and even gained an item she will find to be of great use. As for the demon itself, it won't bother anyone again. I made sure of that personally. You have been most helpful thus far, Hitch. I am pleased to have you as an ally."

Bragi whimpered when Nox left and he awkwardly sat in the chair "y-yea i need help controlling my powers i don't have  much control over them, but it seems some of my powers are rooted to anger" he said sadly averting his eyes so he didn't look at the gods.

He then turned to Bragi, pensive. "Anger... A double-edged sword if I ever knew one. Ah, but who said anger only leads to destruction? All you need to do is learn how to focus that anger on a righteous cause. Never let it take you, but don't bottle it up either. Your anger can be your strength, your drive. It will help you achieve your goals, as long as you don't take it too far. If you do your anger can blind you and become instead your greatest weakness."

Bragi moves and sits next to Hitch, he looked up at the other god "that might be why i have done terrible things, my anger got the best of me" he said sighing trying not to cry "s-so what do i have to do" he asked turning his head to hitch with a lost puppy look.

Hitch pulled a handkerchief from his pocked and motioned with it to Bragi's eyes. While the boy took it, Hitch nodded in Elim's direction. He turned back to Bragi. "I feel the same. On, both accounts. Anger has it's uses, but there is mindlessness and Focused anger. You lack the latter. The former is easy, and that is most likely why you chose it, or it was chosen for you. I know some of the more... ancient houses, especially those that revel in war - they tend to celebrate that blind rage. By learning focus, and mastering the tools of mindfulness, you can direct energy and ambition, derived from any emotion and funnel it towards any goal that you have reasoned to be worthy. reasoned being key." Hitch reached out and held his hands a few inches from the boy's head. "There are tools that can help you train your focus, making it habit and norm. Meditation is one of them. Note, that while you might think that the meditation itself is insufficient, you need to know that it too is a tool, which in turn trains your mind. I want to place my hands on your temples. I will cut off most of your sensory input, leaving only things like touch, smell, limited sound, taste etc. I shall move your mind to a quiet space, which would make it much easier for you to experience the technique. (His hands flicked in a questioning manner) Do you I have your permission?"

Bragi looked fearful for a second but he relaxed slightly "A-alright you have my permission" he said looking a little fearful " i don't want to loose control over my anger ever" he said a little more confident his emerald eyes glowing brightly as he looked at hitch with a straight face.

Hitch, frowned for a moment. He was being too trusting. They might have to work on that as well... fuck. I did not want to take on another project. I don't have the time. He breathed out slowly from his nose, and closed his eyes. "Close you eyes." He said it is a calm, and controlled voice. Without waiting he placed his fingers on the temples of Bragi. Immediately, Bragi's sight was interrupted and replaced by a cool white room. There was no sound, beyond that which he made as he moved. He could smell, but only the smells that came from himself, his clothing etc. He could feel himself sitting in a chair, and when he looked around he saw that he was in fact in a chair. Hitch's voice came from nowhere and everywhere. "I know this might be difficult, but I want you to try and think about what you are feeling. Don't try and force the relaxation, but rather think on and notice what you hear, smell, taste... feel where your body makes contact with the chair. Notice the texture. Take a moment to just become aware of all the sensations of being. There might be sudden sounds, or movements, notice them, acknowledge them and move on until you cover your experience with consciousness."

"what now" he asked calmly his eyes shining brightly

Hitch looked at the boy. So eager. He spoke again, in a softer, more calm tone. "For now, lets keep your eyes closed....................... We need to create a foundation. A pattern. repetition through which we can create focus.............................. I find... the breath, to be a good point.......................... See if you can notice the breath. Where does it start......................... At the nose? Does it cross your lips? Do you feel it most as your chest rises?............................... There is no need to control it..................................... Simply notice it as it occurs naturally................................................ See if you can notice the entirety of the breath. Where it starts, that moment of hesitation... before finally it breaks and leaves....................................... Cover the breath with your consciousness............................................ Notice the experience. Don't fear distraction. You can not force focus........................................... Notice the thought, whether an Idea or a bit of language... Notice it, and acknowledge it................................................. And simply return to the breath." While it felt like they have been busy for half an hour, In reality only a moment had passed in real life. The quiet voids between the sentences seemed to take much longer than they were, yet never distressingly so.

Gaël blushed violently as he realized wheat he had just implied. He sat up akwardly and backtracked.


That didn't come out right. I meant that it was nice to talk to someone as an equal. Not that I'm saying I'm equal to you or that you're less than a god." Gaël stood suddenly and backed out of the room akwardly.


"I... should just go. If you look in the drawer, there should be a couple of texts from Nox to help you get aquainted with the world. There's also a key to let you travel from here to any of her temples around the world and back. I need to make arrangements for the keep to be properly staffed and replenish y spells. One of the other servants has just arrived. If you need anything, simply ring the bell by your desk, and she will attend to you. Good day, Master Akuma." Gaël bowed sharply and disappeared beyond the doorway.

"That kid needs to unlearn his manners." Akuma mumbled. Oh, well. It had been a nice few hours. (Except for Quelaag, but concentrating on the spidery bit helped) Akuma grabbed one of the books out of the drawer, and switched on some nice music.




Might as well multitask. He had known a few humans before he left. How had they turned out? Akuma flipped the book to the 'Ancient Egypt' section. His voice shortly echoed throughout the entire house.

Bragi sighed and opened his eyes letting them shine the the room, and he did what the man asked of him he breathed out deeply and a flash of what seemed to be a memory flashed through his brain, him killing a family in cold blood. he shot out of his chair stumbling backwards "w-was that... d-did i do that" he stuttered out holding back the tears.

Bragi sighed and opened his eyes letting them shine the the room, and he did what the man asked of him he breathed out deeply and a flash of what seemed to be a memory flashed through his brain, him killing a family in cold blood. he shot out of his chair stumbling backwards "w-was that... d-did i do that" he stuttered out holding back the tears.

Hitch looked at him, a frown deepening. He is redeveloping hard memory, but remains yet unable to actually contextualize the experiences. He looked up at the boy. "Yes. Most likely." Hitch sat back and sipped his drink again. "What you need to understand is that, yes, That body has done horrible things. Terrible, unforgivable things. At the same time Horrible and unforgivable things have been done unto it, and the mind that resided there. You need to realize that most will blame you - since they are incapable of separating such obvious dichotomies. You physically and mentally are not what you were... How you react now, shows that inherently you are not that. That was made. I will not give you all of your memories back, so do not ask. Because if I do, you will become that once more. All minds associate with what they assume to be the original. The darkness will consume what you are now. And I will no longer be able to pity you." Hitch sighed and closed his eyes, rubbing his temples. "You will remember things, horrible things. The best thing you can do, is try and understand, not why they were done, but rather why, objectively - you feel you disagree with those actions right now."

"Disagree is an understatement" he said quietly sitting on the floor and crossing his legs he took a deep breath and let the memory play out in his head " oh im sorry does it hurt" Bragi laughed as he stepped on a mans broke ribs "p-please lord Bragi let us go" the man pleaded and Bragi stood there laughing "now now why would i let you go, im having so much fun" Bragi said with a sadistic smirk but he sighed and pulled his foot off the man "Loki burn the village down" his voice echoed through Loki's head and he nodded burning the entire village down killing hundreds in the process. Bragi walked away from the scene laughing as if hundreds had not just burned to death"  Bragi opened his eyes and wiped a tear from them mourning the entire village "how do i get control over this" he asked sternly he was committed to not hurting anyone unless it was a life of death situation.

Hitch's eyes narrowed as he went through similar memories, only a far greater number, and often far more gruesome. "I won't suppress them for you. This is something you need to learn how to handle for yourself. it will be a hard thing, coming to terms that - again, not you - but rather a potential version of you - was capable of these things. You need to experience them, and understand them as fully as possible, and through this build a morality that defies those impulses. You need to become strong enough now, so that when you recall the rest, you can realize why they were wrong... and endeavor to not repeat them. I chose meditation, not only for the focus, but also the calming qualities. If you master it, thinking about and understanding these things will become much easier." Hitch stood up and walked over to where the boy stood shaking. "This won't be easy. But, work at it. Try and find courage in resisting it. It is easy to give into power and rage. There might not be anything like innate good in the universe... but there is a dignity in preserving over destroying. Validating that however, is something that you will have to do for yourself as well." Hitch reached out and patted the reddish hair, in an effort to seem comforting. The action was haphazard though and more like uncomfortable thunks on the head. He did not seem to notice.
