Weapons Are Human

Cisco listen to the doctor as he lifted his shirt and looked at his wounds. When he herd the he had to do some operations in his ribs, Cisco's eyes widen.

"What, operation?" Said Cisco. The sound of someone cutting him open and shifting his rib back in place did not make him feel comfortable.

He looked around to see if he could get out of this. He did not want to be cut open. "Isn't there a different way to do this without having me cut open?" He asked.

"Not with what you've got." The doctor said, keeping a professional tone. Leila looked towards the Weapon, but seeing past him. Her mind wondering as much as it wanted.

"What happened to your rib is not a simple fracture. It broke. There is likely to be shrapnel everywhere, and if you're not careful, it could easily puncture your lungs, leading to a painful death." Again, the doctor spoke with a monotone, not revealing anything in his voice. As if this was an everyday thing for him, which, for the most part, it was.

When Cisco herd the doctor say that there was no other option, he didn't listen to the rest. He was too focus on them cutting him open and he was starting to panic. "No, no, no! I don't want to be cut open! You can't me!" He said as he was getting a bit freaked out. He looked around and saw the door that he cane in. He got up, hurting himself even more, and tried to make his way to the door.

Leila's mind was drawn back to the present as the Weapon began acting weird. He made it sound as if he was going to be dissected. Mia, who was still in the room, intercepted the Weapon's path as he attempted to leave. She pushed the struggling man back into his seat. With her hands firmly on his shoulders, she looked into her eyes.

"Listen. You aren't in danger here." She said sternly. Leila's father took the opportunity to inject a anesthetic into the Weapon's arm. It acted quickly, and knocked him out within moments. Mia looked to the doctor.

"Mia, please place him in the operating room. Leila, since you're forcing more work on me, you're helping."

"Yes sir."

"Yes dad."

The surgery didn't take long. Leila hadn't done much except hand her father the necessary tools. That, and clean the body, which was embarrassing. There wasn't a big opening and it was stitched closed with only 3 stitches. They had lain the Weapon on Leila's bed for the time being. She stayed in her room, adding colour to her drawing of the man while waiting for him to wake up.

Cisco was heading towards the door when he was intercepted by the large women and was pushed back down. He tried to get out of it but before Cisco had time to react he felt a small prick of pain on his arm.

When he felt that small prick he began to feel dizzy and tired. He looked around the room he was in and then at the ground as his vision blurred and was knocked out. The doctor did his operation and fixed Cisco up and only left 3 stitches.

Cisco was asleep for an hour more after the operation was done. He slowly woke up as he opened his eyes and moved his head around to see where he was. Cisco notice that the girl that showed some kindness to him was sitting and drawing near him. He looked at her without saying anything.

Leila was oblivious to the man waking up behind her. She hummed to herself as she put pencil to paper. She felt peaceful. 'Just a few more touches.' She created light and dark with confident strokes of her hand. She held the completed picture up with a smile.

"Done." It was a simple portrait of the Weapon. Leila turned to look at the man just to double check the resemblance to see him awake. A squeak of surprised escaped her.

Cisco saw what she was doing and wondered what she's drawing. When she held the picture up, he looked at it and saw that it was him. He thought that it looked pretty good. He then looked back at her as she turned around to check her drawing but saw that he was awake.

"You drew me, huh?" He said as he sat up a bit. "It looks nice." He complimented as he rest his back against the pillows.

A blush blossomed on Leila's cheeks. Not only had she been caught, but she wasn't very good with compliments.

"Th-thank you." She mumbled, looking at the ground. Her embarrassment subsided when she remembered something.

"Are you hungry? Dad said you should eat to regain strength." She asked, still unable to raise her eyes.

Cisco looked at her as she looked at the ground. He raised an eye brow when she didn't even attempted to raise her eyes. When she asked if she was hungry, Cisco nodded.

"Yeah. What do you have to eat?" He asked as he looked around the room.

"Mia made some lunch. I think it's a pasta dish. Is that okay?" Leila wasn't sure about this man's eating habits or preferences, or even if he was allergic to anything. Hell, she didn't even know his name... That was probably a bad thing. But now was not the time for that! Leila furrowed her brows. Or was it. Surely, many years of "stranger danger" should have had some effect on her. Her mind wandered as it went along random trains of thought, temporarily forgetting there was someone else in her room. Her simple room with her drawings scattered about and stuck on the walls. It was a bit of a mess. At least all her clothes were packed away.

Cisco nodded when she said that someone made pasta. He always liked pasta when he could find some without any mold or rat crap on it. "Pasta sounds good." He said. There was a moment of silence as Cisco looked around the room. The walls were covered in drawings that he guesses it's hers. He looked back at her. "Did you draw all of these?" He asked.

Leila, about to leave the room, was stopped by the man's question. She looked at some of the works on the walls.

"Yeah. I find it soothing." She said, giving the Weapon a smile.

"I'll go get your food." She hurried out the door and to the kitchen. She served two plates of food, a larger portion for the man. Guys usually ate more, right? It was Mia's specialty spaghetti bolognese. Always delicious, no matter time of day or year. Leila also got the pills she had to give the Weapon along with some water to wash it down. Balancing it all on a tray, she made her way back to her room.

As she left, Cisco looked around a bit more. Looking at the drawings on the wall, it was a bit of a mess but the drawings did look like they were good.

"You must have a lot of time on your hands." He said to himself. Cisco then looked to he left and saw the small drawing of him. He wanted to get a closer look at the drawing so he reached over and grabbed it. He notice that she really spend time on this drawing. He wondered why she would draw a weapon.

The door opened and he saw her with a tray of food. His mouth began to water a bit as he never saw that much food brought to him before. A small growl sounded in his stomach.

The sound emitting from the man's stomach caused Leila to giggle. She noticed a paper in his hand. Her drawing of him... That was kinda embarrassing. She didn't even know why, it just was. She tried to stop the blush creeping onto her face.

"Here." Leila placed the tray on her desk, taking her own plate of food off it. "You'll need to take those pills after eating." She explained. She sat on the edge of her bed and watched the Weapon curiously, taking small bites of her meal.

Cisco looked at the pills in his hands as he hesitated for a second before taking them and drank some water. He drank the whole glass, he was thirsty as well as hungry. When he put the glass down and looked at the girl, he notice that she was looking at him. Cisco gave a confused look. "What? Is there something interesting over here?" He asked. Not liking that she's staring at him.

Leila's eyes widened as the Weapon addressed her.

"Sorry." She mumbled an apology. "Your eyes." She was awed at his eyes. They were such a beautiful, vivid colour. How could she not look at them? Leila cast her own eyes downward, believing him to be angry with her.

Cisco sighed. People always stared at his eyes.

"My eyes. Yeah, I don't like them either." He said as he looked down at the food and began to eat. His eyes are the reason people mess with him. It showed that he was a weapon.

"But they're beautiful." She said, unable to stop herself. Realizing, she clamped her hands over her mouth. How could she have been so inconsiderate? Not only did she ignore the fact that he seemed to dislike his eyes, but she called them beautiful of all things. Men didn't like being called beautiful. They were handsome, right?

Cisco herd what she said about his eyes and stopped eating. He put his fork down and thought about what she just said.

"So that's why you drew me." He said. No one ever gave him any compliments about his appearance. It made him feel strange, sorta warm.

Leila wringed her hands nervously as she thought of how to reply.

"That's not really... I did it because I didn't..." Her eyes looked at the drawing in question. "I didn't want to forget your face." She finally said, her cheeks cherry red.

Cisco chuckled a bit when she said that she wanted to remember.

"You're not the first one who said that." He said as he started to pick at the food and then eat some but a small bit.

Curiosity overpowered embarrassment at the Weapon's statement. Leila watched him eat for a few moments.

"Who else?" She asked, unable to restrain herself any longer. Her reason for wanting to remember him, was that she wouldn't forget the kindness he had shown her. So if they ever met again, she could repay him properly. Had he saved others as he had for her? Was there another reason? Probably, knowing how people felt towards Weapons.

Cisco looked at her when she asked a question. She wanted to know who else said that they wanted to remember his face.

"Who else? Well, there was this one guy who wanted to get a good look at me so he can remember. Then after two days he found me again and tried to kill me." He said, going quiet after that. Cisco didn't eat much during the silence, he just looked at his food.

"Oh." Was all Leila could manage to reply. She should have considered that. The semi-awkward silence hung in the air. Deciding to try a less depressing subject, Leila spoke up.

"So, um, what's your name?" She remembered that she hadn't even got that much information from her savior.

Cisco herd her asked for his name. He didn't say anything for a moment, picking at his food and then taking a few bites before looking at her.

"...Cisco" He said, "My name is Cisco. What's yours?"
