Realistic or Modern Washington High School: Student Chronicles

Syo chuckled, then sighed, stretching. ''Man, today was weird. First the fire alarm, then all of those fights starting up out of nowhere. 'S super weird.''

Zori nodded his head. "It was a very weird day. I can't lie about that." He said as Solana passed the plates out before sitting down.

"I swear this doesnt happen to other highschools..." Solana mumbled.

''Yeah. 'Welcome to Washington High! We encourage you to start fights out of nowhere.' I mean, I didn't see any of the teachers try to intervene. Maybe if they had, I wouldn't have got punched in the face.'' She pointed to her cheek. Despite being irritated by the whole thing, she still seemed to be fairly cheerful, though. Syo found it hard to stay annoyed at something for too long. ''So, did you guys get out of there okay?''

Regan smiled when she saw Syo, glad that she was okay. "Hey" she said to her softly and got a plate from Solana. Regan didn't realize how hungry she had been until now. "God, I'm starving. Thanks for the pizza Solana" Regan said gratefully.

"Yeah, most of us got out fine" she replied with a nod to Syo's question. Regan glanced over at everyone, noticing that Alex looked much better.

''Yeah, cheers. I was gonna see if I could buy a sandwich, but this is way better.'' Syo grinned. ''Oh, hey Regan! So.. How come everyones here?'' She glanced around at everyone. Including her, there were about five people here, including a pretty beat up looking Alex. ''..So I take it when you said 'most of us got out fine', that didn't include Alex..?''

Solana nodded happily at Syo and Regan taking a bite of her pizza.

"No," She said, "He kind of got the worst of it." She said, looking a bit guilty.

"Yeah he looked worse" Regan added then glanced at Alex. "Sorry." She took a slice of pizza then started to eat it, sighing as she took a bite of it. Regan hasn't had pizza in a long time. "I'm glad everyone's okay though" Regan said as she sat back down at the table.

Alex steps into the living room and smiles weakly. "It's not that bad." He looks to Solana, blushing lightly before looking back to Syo, and Regan.

Zori nodded in agreement.

"Not everyone." Solana said, glancing up from her pizza. "I haven't seen Butch. Despite him not really being a friend of mine I'm still curious as to where he went."

Zori said nothing, looking over at Regan with a questioning look. Should they tell the others?

''That sucks, man.'' Syo looked across at him, sympathetic, before reaching across the table to take a slice of pizza. ''The kids at this school are waaaay too rough.''

Solana looked up at Alex and sent him a smile. "I'll get the bag for your clothes." She said, standing up.

Zori nodded. "That they are. We're just a rough, tough school."

''Butch? Y'mean sunglasses?'' Syo raised an eyebrow. ''I don't know him that well - I mean, I hung out with him once, and then watched him beat someone up at a fight club, that's pretty much as far as my experience with him goes - but if I had to say, he probably got into one of the fights that started up back at the school.''

Alex nodded, before slinging the towel over his shoulder. "I'm not all that hungry anymore." He says softly, as he leans against the wall.

Regan's body stiffened as Solana brought up Butch's name. She looked over at Zori, thinking if she should say anything. Regan looked away from Zori then put her pizza down. "Yeah, I wonder how he's doing" she said softly, looking down at her pizza on the plate.

Solana shrugged. "I didn't see him at all. But then again. I didn't really see any of you until the aftermath." She went back into the kitchen, grabbing a plastic bag for Alex and getting another ice pack. She walked back to the rest of them, placing the pack on Syo's cheek. "Just to let it get better." She said softly before going over to Alex. She took his clothes, placing them in the bag. "You still need to eat." She mumbled softly, glancing up at him.

Zori took another slice of his pizza, glancing at Regan. So they were taking that approach? That worked for him.

Regan waited for Zori to get his slice then got up to pull him away from the others. "I don't think we should tell them about Butch" Regan whispered to him so the others couldn't hear. She glanced over at them then turned back to Zori. "Did you want to tell them?" she asks slowly.

''Ay, thanks.'' Syo looked up at Solana, grateful. ''I wouldn't worry about it too much, to be honest. You wouldn't think it, 'cause he has that really cringey scene kid look, but he was actually pretty okay at handling himself in that fight.''

Alex sighed, "but I don't need to eat." He protested. Looking down at her, he smiles lightly. He was more tired then hungry.

Zori was bit surprised when Regan pulled him away but didn't make a fuss. He listened to her and thought about the question.

"I... I don't know." He admitted. "I mean, they'll find out soon enough if they watch the news. But they don't have to know about... You know." He mumbled, rubbing his arm.

"No problem Syo." Solana said softly, sending her a smile before nodding in thought. "Yeah... He did seem like the type of guy who knew how to handle himself. He's probably okay." She said before turning back to Alex. "If you don't want to eat than what do you want to do?" She asked him, tilting her head to the side in question.

Regan nodded her head. She knew what Zori was talking about. "Alright well, they'll find out sooner or later about Butch. But the other thing...it will be kept our secret." Regan realized she was still holding his arm so she let go and blushed lightly. "Sorry" she said before she walked back to the other three.

Zori nodded and smiled when she let go of his arm with a blush.

He took her hand in his, pulling her back to him as he stared into her eyes.

"Our little secret..." He repeated, his voice soft as he tapped her gently on the top of her head before letting her go and walk off with him right behind her.

Regan blushed some more then sat back down at the table like

nothing had happened. She slowly finished up her pizza but didn't get another slice. She wasn't hungry anymore. She sat back in the seat when she was done and watched Solana try to get Alex to eat something.

Zori followed after Regan sitting down in his seat from before and eating his pizza happily.

"What are you so happy about?" Regan asks as she laughs lightly. Zori always seemed to be happy and she liked that about him.

Zori looked at Regan and shrugged. "I don't know. I just find it's easier to be happy than upset with whatever." He said, sending her a small grin.
