Fantasy Warring Nations Unite

Akitka seemed to make quick work of her breakfast and he tea and then went to the infirmary so the doctor could make sure she was physically okay. She entered the infirmary and looked around for the doctor and smiled as she found him, “doctor I'm here for my physical.” She said as she stepped inside.

The doctor looked up from his paperwork and smiled and he nodded his head. “Alright my dear, let’s make sure your okay. Do ten jumping jacks,” he said as he grabbed a stop watch and timed her. As soon as she was done he made a note of how long it took her and then smiled, “run in place for five minutes, if at any point you feel your chest tighten stop.” He said and then waited patiently. He recorded the time she stopped and was surprised that she had made it the full time, since she hadn’t gotten close in recent sessions. “Alright, your all set, have a nice day Akitka and I’ll see you tomorrow morning.” He said as he smiled happily.

Akitka nodded her head before leaving the infirmary and going for a slow walk, wanting to go visit the garden and look at the flowers for a little bit.

After breakfast Levian flashed through the usual two hours of sword practice, and headed to the library for rest and relaxation. Lunch was an hour away and reading at the library made the hour feel like 5 minutes.

Akitka spent the hour between her physical and lunch sitting in the garden. She had picked some flowers for herself because she liked the flowers. She kept a hold of her flowers for a bit, but picking them had only taken her about five or ten minutes at most. She looked around for a moment and then headed back inside the castle.

She wondered through the halls with the flowers in hand, surprised at how quiet it had been. She hadn’t even seen Levian all morning. That was something she found curious since she usually saw him at breakfast, however that wasn’t overly surprising since she had gotten up a bit later. Other than that she had spend about thirty minutes at breakfast and then an hour with the doctor. Then she had spent some time walking in the garden and then picked some flowers.

She walked along the hall and held onto her flowers as she walked and smiled as she counted the flowers in her hand, having picked about three or four. She was more accurately counting the peddles on the flowers.

The book that Levian was reading was good, but he couldn't entirely focus on it. Part of his mind was still on Seline and how she had left out of the blue. Yes, she did leave a note explaining why she had left. But, the queen didn't clarify where, or why she was going.
The prince closed his book with a disheartened sigh and slipped out of his chair. The library was the only place where he could just sit and think without the threat of anyone interrupting him. But today Levian didn't want to hear all the worrisome thoughts going on in his head. Today he wanted a distraction.
Placing the book back on its place in the shelf, the young adult headed out of the library his mouth set in a grim line.

Akitka kept walking and counting, but soon she walked into Levian and winced a little bit as she dropped her flowers, one being a rose that cut her finger. “Ouch,” She said as she looked at her finger for a moment and then looked to see who she walked into. “Oh... hi,” She said as she looked at him for a moment and then bent down and started collecting her flowers up.

“I’m sorry... I was counting the peddles on my flowers.” She said as she got them gathered up. She straightened herself out and held onto her flowers, “I didn’t get any blood on you, did I?” She asked curiously as she had cut her hand the minute she bumped into Levian.

Levian gasped as he walked right into Akitka, he was slightly pushed back, but otherwise he was fine. Crouching on the ground he picked the rest of Akitkas flowers and handed them to her.

"My bad. I wasn't watching where i was going." He apologized. The prince checked his blues and saw a tiny smear of blood on the hem of his sleeve

"Nope." He lied. "Its all good, are you okay?"

Akitka took the remaining flowers and nodded her head as she looked at her finger. “Just a small cut on my finger... I used to cut my fingers all the time on roses.” She admitted as she looked at Levian and shook her head, “no I should have been paying attention instead of walking and counting my flower peddles.” She stated as she watched him.

“I’m sorry if I got anything on you... my mother taught me that if you count an even number of peddles that you need to count them quick or else you’ll have bad luck for a year.” She said as she shook her head, “I know it’s untrue, but she would let me count the flower peddles. So, it became a habit to count them after I picked them.”

Levian smiled kindly at her. "No need to apologize, there is nothing on me so don't worry about it." He reassured. The prince tore the hem of his tunic off and used the piece of cloth to wrap around her finger.

"Here, keep that on until you can get some gauze. You don't want the cut to get affected, especially with your immune system still tired from fighting off your illness." Levian instructed matter-of-factly.

Akitka looked at Levian and nodded her head as she was just glad she hadn't bled on him. When he wrapped a piece of his tunic around her finger she looked at it for a moment.

She would have usually retorted to his comment about her immune system, but she honestly had nothing to say about his comment. After all, he wasn't wrong, an infection could have her down for another week if it so wished. "Yes, that is very true... my immune system isn't the best. I hope the treatment will start strengthening it again. Though, the doctor seems to think I might be finally getting better after my physical this morning." She admitted as she smiled a little more, "thank you for wrapping my finger for me." She said before looking to Levian.

"I think I better put my flowers down before lunch." She stated as she didn't want to have the flowers in the dining area, but in the room since she was kind of trying to make the room feel a bit more like home for herself. She wished she could open the windows and get fresh air, but she hadn't simply because she didn't know if the windows opened in this castle like they had in her old home.

Levian smiled sheepishly. "Don't sweat it really. I'm sure you'd do the same for me." He stuttered.

"You can put those by the window." He said when he noticed the flowers in her hands. She really did love plants. It kind of reminded him how Seline was before his father died.

"I'll the maids bring by a vase so you can put them in there." He explained.

Akitka looked at Levian and smiled a little bit more, “yes I would.” She stated as she nodded her head.

“Yes... they need sunlight still... I don’t want them to whither, even though I know they will eventually. They make the air smell better,” she said and then paused and laughed nervously. “I’m not saying you smell bad... just the air gets stuffy and stagnant and the flowers help.” She said as she shook her head not wanting hunch to think she was insulting him, because she wasn’t. If there was anything she had noticed about him it was his ability to smell pretty damn good even after sword training.

“Alright, I’ll see you at lunch in like five minutes then?” She asked as she looked at him for a moment.

Levian laughed at her blunder of words, and rubbed the top of her head affectionately. "Its ok." He said, as he removed his hands quickly when he realized what he had done.

"Erhm, well yeah, I'll see yoy during lunch."

Akitka smiled softly as she nodded her head before making her way back to the room that had become her home, that she shared with Levian. She was happy they atleast weren’t at each others throats all the time, like the previous weeks had been. They were starting to get along, or atleast tolerate one another.

Once there she set her flowers down for a moment while she waited for a maid to bring her a vase. Once she had that she put the flowers in carefully and smiled.

Once they we’re in the vase she set it infront of the window and pulled the curtains a bit more and looked outside for a moment before she turned on her heels and made her way towards lunch.

Levian couldn't help the small smile on his face, as he made his regular rounds around the castle. Life was so much easier with a happy wife. The Prince laughed at the thought, as he ignored the strange looks the servants were giving him. By the time he made it back to the garden, it was already time for lunch, so Levian made his way to the Luncheon room.

The luncheon room was still being prepared, and the servants had yet to even drape the tables. Although the maids profusely disagreed, Levian helped them set the tables.

Akitka smiled as she made sure that the flowers were getting enough light before leaving the room. She then made her way down towards lunch. She had to agree that life was easier now that her and Levian were getting along. While she still hadn’t grown a love for him, she did atleast enjoy his company. It wasn’t like the first week of her being here where they were constantly arguing.

She soon entered the room and looked to Levian and offered a kind smile. She found that Levian was happy too, that the new normal had for the most part been a relatively smooth transition. Her husband was happy and she was happy. They each kind of did their own things, hadn’t discovered any shared interests yet.

When Akitka entered everything had already been set up. The table was this long rectangular thing made with some sort of fine quality wood imported from some forest kingdom. The table had been around since Emperor Romeus was alive, but still it showed no sign of wear or tear.

The table was adorned with a fine silk table cloth and littered with silver platters of various meats, vegetables, rice, and pastries. It was way too much food for a whole group of people, let alone two young adults.

There was only two mahogany seats on opposite sides of the table for that sole reason.

Akitka looked around in awe, “wow this is beautiful.” She said as she looked at the table and smiled happily. She ran her fingers over the chair carefully as she observed it. She remembered the table back home, the one she had eaten at since she was a young girl. This table actually reminded her of that table in size and appearance. Then again many tables probably looked the same since there was only one way to make them.

She pulled out a chair carefully and sat down, “where has this table been?” She asked curiously as she didn’t recognize it from the table they had eaten at earlier today, but that’s wasn’t an uncommon thing. Many castles had different dining areas due to the size of the castle. She had to assume this was just another dining area from the one they usually ate at.

Levian chuckled at her obvious fascination with the table. It indeed was a beautiful table that hosted a vast array of his childhood memories.

"I've no idea.. " Levian smiled. "My mother, Seline... Hates this table for whatever reason and loves to criticize it. Secretly, we all know she loves it though. So, we only use it for private family moments."

Akitka looked at Levian for a moment and then to the table, “it’s beautiful though... I mean the work that went into this.” She said as she looked at it, “it reminds me of the table back in my kingdom... I would sit at it for every meal and it was beautiful too. It had roses carved into the sides.” She said smiling happily.

“This ones nice though, simple and beautiful... I mean, the work that goes into these tables is amazing.” She admitted as she knew she was rambling, “sorry I’m rambling now... I get overly excited pretty easily.” She stated as she knew she did, even if it didn’t seem like it at first.

Underneath all he attitude and everything she really was a sweet girl, maybe a little sheltered, but she was learning quick about the world. The attitude was her way of trying to protect herself and being stubborn like her father had been when he was younger, as it had disappeared over the years. Akitka though only got attitude when she felt threatened, when she felt afraid. Other than that she was very much like how her mother had been, sweet.

Levian listened quietly as she rambled on about the table. When she finished he laughed.

"Well at least their is someone else in the castle who respects this table."

Akitka smiled as she nodded her head, "well tables should be cared for and respected. They might be a piece of furniture, but it would be like if someone destroyed a book... it's awful." She said as she looked at Levian.

"This table is old and it deserves to be shown some love and respect." She said as she could definitely tell that this table was an old one.

Levian smirked. "Yeah, it sure is.." His gaze softened and fell to the ground as he spoke again. "It's been around since dad, and I have so many memories of us eating in this table."

Akitka looked at Levian for a moment, “from when your father was around... hmm. Why did it get moved?” She inquired curiously as she looked at him. She knew that Levian and his mother had a strained relationship, the opposite of her and her fathers, but she wondered why it got moved.

Then again when she thought about it a lot of the items her father associated with her mother got moved around, but it was more for a memorial to her mother rather than trying to push a memory away. “What was your father like? My dad said they were friends a long time ago.”

Levian thought about her question for a while before answering. "My mom, well, Seline. After my dad died was never the same. I like to think that when my dad died, my mom died with him. Believe it or not, back then she was the best mother in the world."

"I guess the table has the same meaning to her, but she still can't deal with my fathers death so thats why she keeps it hidden. Just like her feelings." Levi explained. He knew Seline still was affected by the Emperors death, and he knew unless she was confronted with it... She'd never come to terms with it. Akitkas next question jolted him out of his musings.

"Dad was strict. But fun at the same time. He would push me to study and etc, but he never pushed me to hard. He seemed to always know when I was at my limit."

Akitka listened to Levian and smiled a little bit as she listened, getting to know him a bit better. She had to giggle when he described his father as strict, but fun. “I think every father is strict, but fun. My father had my lessons lined up for me from the moment I was conceived, according to my mother. Of course at first he was preparing for a boy, but he then changed his plans when I was born a girl.” She said smiling softly, but the smile soon faded.

“Then I grew ill, the doctors didn’t give me long to live, I wasn’t even supposed to make it to a year. However, here I am 23 years later, still kind of learning.” She said as her smile returned to her face.

She hates that she got so ill sometimes, but it was a part of life she had come to live with. “What was your mother like before your father died? Were you close to her before his death?” She asked curiously.
