Varanda High [Inactive]

(Day two begins, and everyone is at school either preparing to attend, or skip, their first period classes. We can use OOC comments on this post to find where everyone want to start off at if we want. Or we can wait till more people are on.)

Edit:(If we all based on, say central time, we could try to find the best time to meet up. Such as, if we all met a six pm central, I would be logging in at 12 am where I'm at, but since we'd all be going be central it would make tracking eachother's time easier by converting to central. Just a thought if we wanted to make a schedule.)

[bEGINNING OF DAY TWO]

Taylor rolls around and sensing the day has began, she wakes up, yawning and rubbing her forehead. She gets up and goes to the shower and starts getting ready for the day almost forgetting about Mizu in the other room.

(Starting from now on to allow everyone and their different timezones a bit more lee way, one school day equals three real life days. This means everyone involved has a chance to get things done during a 'schoolday', and that peoples different schedules allows them a chance to be far more involved in the roleplay.

If you want to do one on one chats, the empty corners of rooms, vacant classrooms or going outside would be the best ways to do it.

I also think that it would be best if you speak to someone before 'outing' them as human or non-human characters.

Finally, don't forget to refer back to the character sheets when speaking to other's characters, as this can help you figure out how to handle scenes and talk to others.

I know I am not in charge, but I'm just hoping to streamline and organise this so that everyone can get along easier and the roleplay will be fun for everyone.)

She goes and pokes his shoulder to wake him up and then shows him to the showers. She then waits and shifts into her eagle form and flies towards the school.

Paxton floated before the mirror, still not sure about his new look. "Here goes nothing." He mumbled, throwing the hood over his head. It wouldn't hide the eyebrow piercing, but it would keep his newly bleached locks under wraps.

Grinning at the nice after rain and early morning smell, Quila reached under the hood of her shemagh and rubbed her cheek as she let out a yawn. Looking down, she was hoping her red skirt and green shirt would look good today.

Pax walked into his room to find a fresh set of clothes put out for him. "I will never be able to pay this guy back," he groaned as he rubbed a soft black v-neck between his fingers.

Since she didn't actually have class until later in the day, Quila made a beeline for the same trees she'd been in the day prior, specifically finding the same crook in the tree that she'd found the prior day and made herself comfortable.

Charles whole with a start, sleeping was always uncomfortable for him. With a yawn however he made his way downstairs and grabbed some toast and a cup of What looked like a syrup of blood. Taking a drink he sighed in relief and waited for pax to head down.

Alex rose lazily and stumbled into his shower, and then to his clothes. He ate a lite breakfast and headed out the door, planning on skipping his classes that day

Pax stumbled into the kitchen after spending 10 minutes looking for it. "Hey, Charlie." he said, greeting his elder with a big smile. He hadn't bothered to hide his bleached hair, that had been cut into a pixie style, from him. "Hey, that smells great." he remarked, sitting on a bar-stool at the island counter.

Charles nodded and pushed a cup his way. "This should tide you over till lunch so you don't have to feed off a random student." He said as he finished off his drink and started munching on some toast.

Attending the one school she's been dreading to go to is a set back.

'Veranda was supposed to help her' they said. 'It'll be fun' they said. They she means her adoptive parents. Her second lot of adoptive parents. Mr Kyle found her and offered to go out of his way to help her with her abilities and who she was was a miracle. He worked at Veranda and had thought it would be the perfect opportunity to help her sort herself out. They had tried therapy, but he feared she would be tested as a lab rat if her secret was released. So her new dad, Mr Kyle had thought Veranda would be best and with his influence she stood on the front lawn of the school, looking up at its grand architecture and beautiful setting. Even with Kyle working at the school, she had never been. Only dreamed...

"Now what?" She whispered, looking across the green towards the dorms. "Follow me" Kyle ordered, leading her to the front office to check her in. Once that was done he led her to her knew room in the girls dorms (Not sure if we're having any, but for my characters sake i will add them...) he softly smiled and offered "i'll be in the teacher's offices. He handed her her school schedule and key. "See you" He waved and left for his morning lecture.

Yes Kyle wasn't the typical father figure. He knew of her past and didn't want to provoke her mental state. Even though they knew each other was grateful for each other's company, they weren't open about their feelings.

"Great..." She thought, dropping her messenger bag on her tightly, and neatly made bed. She wondered if she'd fit in, or if she'd destroy yet another opportunity. She wondered if the other residents of the school had similar abilities to her... of completely different

Peering down at the courtyard from her tree branch balancing act, Quila couldn't help but notice the distinct lack of activity below her.

'Sheesh, I guess everyone just wakes up after I do. Like, late after I do.'

After she unpacked her few belongings, a part of her convinced her to go exploring. She was curious to see how awesome this school was, as she'd heard from her dad.

As she walked out of her room, her eyes settled across the green courtyard and onto a young lady sitting on a tree branch as if she was balancing for dear life... in a carefree manner.

'Don't' She told herself, still looking across toward the mysterious girl. She wanted to ask her about his school, and see how she was similar to her like Kyle said most students were. But... she was scared of rejection and didn't like the awkwardness in meeting knew people. She didn't want to go crazy on them. She patted her pocket for her phone which produced her head buds she stuck in her ears. She didn't want to be unnerved today and get of on the wrong foot. Besides, if she did approach the girl, who said she wouldn't absorb what ever power she had and lost another part of herself to insanity. No thank you.

She finally decided if the girl approached her she would comply, but she wouldn't make the first move...

After finishing with the boy Krav walked away into the court yard. He walked down the pathways looking at the trees and laid down in the grass. He stared blankly at the sky confused as to what he should do. The wind blew just across his face and made the glass to touch his cheek.

Rolling her head around, Quila finally saw someone else in the courtyard. Whoever it was, the new girl seemed to be staring at her apprehensively.

Unsre of how to handle the situation, she gave the girl a small wave, knowing that if things got weird she could just disappear into the higher boughs of the tree.

Startled by the girls gaze and subtle wave, she shifted and avoided the girl. She laughed at her hypocrisy for not following through her plan. She wanted to stay and talk, but her conflicting nature forced her to flea. She silently hoped she'd come across the girl again in the near future. This is a school after all .

'Did I just meet a me? Hmm, okay then. I wish the other students would arrive though. While I'm not overly fond of the meeting and talking, people being around is somewhat nice... somewhat.' thought Quila as she reached into her bag and pulled out a coconut, repeating her actions from the day prior.

(The prior day she sat in the tree and ate a coconut. She also cracked it in the tree. This will become a habit probably.)

(Lol thank you for the heads up. Also it's 10:00 pm here and I apologise in advance if I fall asleep and do not reply - will reply ASAP in the morning)

She scrambled from the courtyard and around the long, winding hallways of the girls dorm building. Eventually she found herself back in front of her dorm room door, un satisfied. She glanced across the green again and saw the familiar girl crack a cocoanut. She sighed. She liked cocoanut.

Collecting her thoughts and courage, she finally took a deep breath and walked across the green, in hopes of gaining answers to the questions about her abilities.

Quila munched away at the meat of her favoured food happily. She didn't even notice the girl had come back outside. As she at she couldn't help but imagine what it would be like once she had started to make friends. Would she still be shy? Would she become more outgoing like when she's out of reach and safe in her trees or woods? So many questions.

(Yeah, three on the nose where I'm at. If you go to sleep, I advise having your character 'go to classes' or a 'doctor's appointment' or some such to explain away their absence.)

(Alright Thank You - I'm thinking about having Kyle, her adopted father figure a ghost/spirit only she can see. Yes? No? ℅ considering it is one of her powers she's absorbed )

Just as she approached the girl, her phone buzzed, signalling her first class of the day was about to start. 'Darn' she thought and quickly made it back to her room to collect her things for class, hoping the girl didn't think ill of her poor timing.

( goodnight. I don't want a headache tomorrow. Lucky RPing... If that's a thing lol sorry for leaving you alone )

Kass would walk outside and lean against the other side of the tree. She would pull out her sketchbook and start drawing.

Hearing someone next to the base of the tree, specifically the scritching noise of graphite on paper, Quila quietly made her way through the branches until she was directly above a girl that had found the base of the tree a nice place to sit.

Kass would pause, take out a quarter, and use her thumb to flip it up at you, an inch from your face. She wouldn't look up once during the ordeal.

Startled by the sudden quarter almost hitting her in the face, Quila let out a startled yelp just before nimbly climbing up higher into the tree. Once satisfied with the height she laid flat on one of the wider branches, hiding from the direct line of sight of the girl below her.
