So just a heads up well in advance: I head out on holiday next Friday for two weeks. Unfortunately, the cottage we're staying in for the first week doesn't have any internet, so I'm not sure what's going to happen with me posting. I will be trying to reply when we're on car journeys if possible but I won't be as around as I have been. After that I should be back to normal and I hope to keep posting at the same rate!
Oh, that's annoying. Hopefully by then we'd be in a situation where we don't need GM imput and can say Skyre is studying intensely or something like that.

WalkingDogo WalkingDogo : I fear the hut is not going to survive long enough to answer this questions itself, but it'd probably be a bit of a squeeze.
Eh, it's better then sleeping in the rain.

At the very least I'll try to get a nice big post up en route on the Friday and then on the following Friday :)

Hm, I don't know how to insert Maria. I'm having a hard time thinking about what to write.
Well we do have a possibly injured man who just let out a loud scream, plus there's always the sounds of fighting going on in the hermits hut. Plus, you could always do a collab with someone else and insert yourself that way.

I knew I forgot something important! I normally do a little enemy profile but forgot to provide anything substantial this time, so my bad guys!

So the beasts don't appear to feel pain, nor do they bleed as such (though there is a bit of a splash of purple if you take off one of their limbs), so it's easy to be taken off guard by their unflinching response to taking major damage - however, unlike the Shadow Reapers (who aren't involved in this attack) the beasts can be killed if they take enough damage, their bodies evaporating. One-on-one it wouldn't be too difficult for somebody with half-decent combat ability to fend one off, but it's their strength in numbers which makes them a bigger threat. As their bodies grow unstable after taking enough damage/losing enough limbs, your Blue Magic girl would find herself suddenly able to manipulate the beast's entire body, but before that they wouldn't be able to interact with it like that. Let me know if you need any more information!
How effective would arrows through the skull/into the neck be? Or arrows in general? Does it take a general amount of damage to take them down, regardless of placement, or would certain places be weaker/cause more damage like in the monster's real counterparts? I'm guessing the latter, but I didn't want to assume.

Actually it'd probably be more of the former; an arrow through the skull would be possible but the thing would probably continue on oblivious to the hole until further damage render it incapacitated!

So would two to three to the head kill it, or would it take more than that?

I'd assume that it would be enough, trauma like that isnt something that can be shaken off. Either that or Tai'yang can just pound them in further with his staff until it goes all the way through

Post is up! I plan to post again probably on Wednesday if there's enough to react to, and again on Friday en route to my holiday!

WalkingDogo WalkingDogo MToki MToki Dalamus Ulom Dalamus Ulom Epiphany Epiphany You guys might want to get a post up soon! But if you're presently busy, please let me know - the nature of these opening scenes means you're not missing anything too important (though you are missing the fun of magical combat!) if you insert yourself into the scene a little later than some :)

So, SkyGinge SkyGinge I'm guessing that these shadow creatures don't really have any consciousness to speak of (being constructs of a sort) and that Aeryn's talent really won't affect them? I eluded a bit to that in my last post with her making a minimal effort (well, she was under duress so maybe not even minimal effort) with no reaction because I forgot to ask first if there were any consciousness in them. :)
