Helena shook her head, "No, but I sent Eric and Rowan on the path to figuring it out. I imagine she would be glad to see you and less confused that way." She smiled at him, "If you need me, you know I'll here for you."

Kyle* nodded, "Promise."

Nicoli nodded. "I appreciate it Helena. Thank you." He said. At the same time the doors were opening and Rowan and Kyle* walked though. As they got close enough to actually see what was going on Rowan stopped in her tracks. She knew she shouldn't be surprised, she and Eric had talked about this possibility not all that long ago. But she still found herself having a hard time. She hadn't seen her father actually killed. Just the blood in the after math. In a way it was almost like they had merely been separated. She moved closer to him, almost cautious, and then her mother's lifeless body caught her eye and she froze. She felt tears welling up in her eyes again as she looked at the still, dead form of her beautiful mother. She hesitated a moment longer, but finally her grief won out as she moved over to Olivia. She didn't process if Kyle* was still with her or that she was even still holding tightly to his hand. She just went to her mother, finally letting go of Kyle* as she bent over and hugged her mother's form as best she could, finally letting out the tears she had been holding in for her mother.

Nicoli watched uncertainly. His first instinct was to rush to his daughter, to pull her into his embrace and never let go. He stopped only when Rowan had seen Olivia. While it hurt that she didn't come to him, he also understood. She needed to grieve, he didn't even know if she had since coming here or not. He had also noticed how tightly she'd been holding onto Kyle* and he wasn't sure what to feel about that. If it had been another situation he may have felt more protective but right now he was glad Rowan had a friend at her side. He looked to Helena next, still not really sure if he should comfort Rowan or not. Eventually deciding on not. Even when she was a child and had lost a pet she didn't like him or her mother trying to comfort her.

Helena and Kyle* watched, for a moment, not sure what to do. Helena looked at Nicoli for a moment, planning her hand on Nicoli's shoulder before going to Rowan. She placed her hand on her shoulder, "Breath. You need to breath." She said before she stepped back.

Nicoli watched a moment, grateful to Helena, and then he also got to his feet. He was a little unsteady at first but then he moved to Kyle*. He placed a hand on his shoulder and then beckoned for him to follow to the other side of the room, just to give the two women a little space. He looked to Rowan a moment longer and then looked at Kyle* again. "I'm pretty sure the last time I saw you, you were still just a teenager. How old are you now?" He asked. He wanted to ask about Rowan's time here, but he'd also known Kyle* since he was born.

Rowan didn't look to Helena, but she did as she said, pulling back from her mother some and trying to take deep breaths. It was a struggle at first, but gradually she managed. "Will you be able to bring her back too?" She asked quietly. She knew the question wasn't right, but at the moment she wasn't thinking about that, she was only thinking about how she'd never hear her mother's voice again or feel a hug from her. The thoughts nearly caused her to start crying again, but this time she managed to stop the tears.

Kyle* followed Nicoli and helped to keep him steady, "Hmm, 27 now, and it has been a long time." He looked to Rowan, "She'll be okay. She's really strong and to be honest, kind of like you."

Helena smiled softly at her, nodding, "I'm going to try my hardest. And I won't give up." She promised her, "The shard only held one soul and she is human, so a time spell is the best I can think of. But it's never been perfected and usually the subject is killed. So, I will perfect it so that she will survive the transition coming here."

Nicoli smirked a little. "I'm glad to hear that. It sounds like she's been fitting in well. I heard your father has already sent her on a mission." He said. Whatever protectiveness he felt, his pride in his daughter was what showed.

Rowan nodded. "Tell me what I can do to help. I have my mission with Eric right now, but I also have to keep going about things. I want to train and learn but right now I want to help bring her back." She said. It was foolish. At the back of her mind she knew this was totally foolish. But there was a determined set to her jaw and she wasn't thinking about what was logical right now.

Kyle* nodded, "She helped get the shadow weapons from your house and led a mission to get them to a safe place. Got Eric and Azra from the rebels, which wasn't part of her mission and right now she is helping on another mission. She's been running around a lot, since she has gotten her, made friends with Anthony, Kyle, I think even Caleb likes her. Honestly, she's been doing amazing, for someone born in the human world." He reported, glancing at Nicoli, wonder if he was concerned, upset or just curious.

Helena gave her a soft smile, "Nothing. This is too dangerous to let anyone else work on and there are laws against this kind of work. It's best that you know as little about it as possible. I'll deal with this." She promised, glancing to Nicoli, "Spend time with your father." She smirked before looking at Rowan, "He can teach you much."

Nicoli was quiet for a long moment. He was concerned, he didn't like her putting herself in danger while she was here. It was what this tower was known for but she wasn't born and raised here. She was also unscathed and seemed to be doing perfectly fine all things considering. Nicoli finally sighed and ran a hand over his face. "I would like to speak with your father concerning her. But...she sounds like she is doing well." He glanced to Kyle*. "I see you two seem close as well." He said, making it obvious he was fishing for more information.

Rowan nodded some. She didn't like the answer but she would let it be for now. She glanced towards her father a moment and then back to her mother. "It's weird. It's like he was never dead...just that we had gotten separated and I'm not really sure what to feel." She admitted quietly.

Kyle* blushed slightly, nodding, "I help here when she needs it and I can. We get along, I think." He smirked, "Honestly, she makes friends pretty easily, so I don't know how close we are."

Helena looked at Nicoli and then back to Rowan, "He didn't die, he was with me. I just needed the chance to bring him back." She told Rowan, "It's all a matter of how you look at it."

The blush didn't go unnoticed to Nicoli. "I am glad she seems to get along with others so well." He hesitated a moment, not sure how to phrase his next couple of questions. "Does she understand the betrothal process Kyle?" He asked carefully. His tone was merely curious, but he gave nothing else away. Kyle was a good kid, he knew that. He couldn't help wondering if Kyle* wanted to be betrothed to his daighter. After he left it messed things up, bu now they were back it would set them back on track.

Rowan sighed a little but nodded. "That is true I suppose." She but her lip and looked over to Helena. "Thank you for bringing him back...and for not...for being kind." She said.

Kyle looked at him and nodding, "I explained it to her. She wasn't too sure about it, but she seems to want to try recently. Whatever her choice, she knows I will be her friend and help her any way that I can." he assured him.

Helena looked at her and smirked, after a moment, "I love your father. There has never been anyone like him, for me and my family believes in the betrothed, but at the same time, my aunt was not the betrothed of my uncle. Kyle is the son of his love, not his betrothed. In the end, he married his betrothed, after losing his love and they raised Kyle together for a time, before she passed. But how my uncle felt for his love has always been obvious and how Nicoli felt about your mother, was just as clear. When you love someone, their happiness comes first and that is the only way to make you happy."

Nicoli nodded. "Then as long as you don't force her into anything, you'll have my approval in whatever happens." He said gently, the faintest hint of a smile on his face. It was easier to act like the over protective father right now instead of focusing on the grief of losing his wife. He was good at conpartmentalizing, and he'd allow himself time to grieve when it was appropriate.

Rowan looked to her in surprise. She hadn't realized Hector was not only in a similar situation that her father had been in, but that he'd lost both his love and betrothed. "I hope I find someone like that to love...eventually. For now I need to train. I need to be better so I can help this tower." She said.

Kyle* looked at Nicoli confused, "If that what my cousin said to you?" he asked curiously, "Sorry." he shook his head, "I was too young to really understand how you two ended up cancelling. I've always wondered about it....well, how you two talked about it. I know Helena and you were good together, I just don't understand when....nevermind."

Helena smiled at Rowan, taking her by the shoulders and aiming her to look at her father, "Then it is a good thing you have your father. I'm sure he taught you to deal with humans, but now he can teach you to deal with Shadows."

Nicoli looked to Kyle* a little surprised but then gave him an understanding smile. "I fell in love with a human. She could make the world stop. I never stopped loving your cousin. I don't know how I could love both women. But I knew I couldn't make Helena as happy as she deserved and I think there is a part of her that knew that too. That and she is an incredible woman." He said. "You can ask me anything you like about that time Kyle. You were still pretty young." He added.

Rowan looked to the direction of her father and smiled some. "Yeah...yeah I guess he can. I can't believe I get him back." She looked to Helena and without thinking hugged her. "Thank you." She said quietly. She owed her father a hug too. And then as much as she wanted to spend time with him, she had a mission to get back to. She had to distract Emery for a time while Eric spoke to Emery's betrothed.

Kyle* looked at his cousin and smirked, "She's unique." He agreed, "They both are." He commented after a moment.

Helena smirked, hugging her back, "Your welcome." She said before pulling away, "Go. I'm sure my uncle will be here soon and he'll have questions. You can ask your father questions." She suggested

Nicoli smirked a little as he watched Rowan pull away from Helena and nod. Then she turned and came over to him. She seemed to hesitate a moment, not quite sure what to do. So he decided for her. Closing the distance and pulling her into a hug, which she gladly returned.

Rowan held onto her father for a long time before pulling away finally. "I...I'm so glad you're back." She said, smiling some. "But..." she hesitated a moment. She wanted to stay with him, but she also felt like she needed to get back to what she was supposed to be doing this morning. Nicoli smiled knowingly.

"Go do what you need to do. I will be here when you're done okay? I'm not going anywhere." He promised, gently brushing her hair back and kissing her forehead. Rowan smiled, she hugged him once more and then moved to Kyle*.

"Can we talk?" She asked. She wanted to know if he or his father wanted to know anything about Eric's plan. It was easier for her this way, to jump back into doing something. She wanted to spend time with her father but she found while she was here she had grown to like always doing something. She also wanted her father's opinion, but no matter who he was, she wasn't sure she could tell him anything about the mission.

Nicoli of course wanted to spend more time with his daughter, but she'd seemed a little restless. In fact she'd seemed exactly like him when he had started out on missions. Anxious to get to them and to get them done.

Kyle* looked at her a moment before he nodded, "Of course." He motioned her to leave with him, "We can talk in the hall."

Helena came up to Nicoli and smirked, "I think she should be fine." She assured him before kissing his cheek, "Care to come with me."

Rowan nodded in thanks and followed him or into the hall. She sighed some, running a hand through her hair. "I wanted to know what else you need to know about Eric's plan....and if my father needs to stay in the dark about Eric." She asked.

Nicoli watched Rowan go. "Yeah, I think she will be. I am proud of her, but it is wrong I'm also a little concerned about how well she's adjusted?" He asked with a faint smile as he followed Helena.

Kyle* paused, looking confused before he opened his mouth, "Whatever you two come up with is up to you. We just need to know about who we can't trust. As for your father..I think he has enough to deal with, but that is your decision, we know he can't be a spy, but knowing might make him a target."

Helena smirked, "She will be fine, she has you for now. And soon, you can make a home for them both, when I get your wife back."

She nodded in understanding and then smiled a little embarrassed. "Thank you for coming with me. I...I told Eric I would help him with something this morning. I should probably get to that." She said. She understood what he was saying and decided not to say anything to her father. Kyle* was right, he had enough to deal with right now.

Nicoli smiled some. "I hope so. Rowan has seemed to adjust nicely despite my concerns." He looked to Helena. "I really am glad to see you again. I've often wondered how you were doing." He said.

Kyle* nodded, giving her a smirk, "Okay. Go. I have some things to do, myself." He assured her.

Helena smirked, "I have been doing what you showed me, going on missions for towers. Been helping where they need me and doing what I love, science"

Rowan smiled, then leaned over and lightly kissed his cheek. "Thank you for being so good to me." SHe said quietly. Then she pulled away and left. She wasn't sure where to find Eric. But if he was going to stick to the same plan, then she needed to find Emery and get him away from the Jails.

Nicoli smiled a little. "I can imagine you've been quite the help doing that." He said. "Did you ever perfect those meal bars?" He asked with an amused grin.

Emery sighed as he stood at the door of the intaregation room. He had been there for a few days now and he was starting to get a little tired. But soon, someone would relieve him, so he can rest before returning to guard.

Helena smirked, "All but one." She takes starting to lead him out. "Pork is a lot harder to figure out. But I have started to actually develop actual meals for the bars. I think after I perfect the time spell I should get back to that."

Rowan wasn't surprised of course to find Emery where she was looking for him. "Hey." She said to let him know she was there. "Are you going to be able to break soon? Or now?" She asked, her tone kind though she was being careful.

Nicoli chuckled a little. "Well I look forward to trying them again." He said. He was quiet a moment. "It would be justblike old times to be your test subject again." He added a little quieter.

Every raised an eyebrow, "I won't be going anywhere just yet. But I will be resting soon." He commented, "Why? What do you want?"

Helena giggled, "Hey. You said it yourself, my new experiments saved you, a few times." She smiled, "And these have been tested." She pointed out
