Nicoli nodded, tenderly wiping away a stray tear. Then he leaned forward and kissed her forehead before turning to leave and find Hector. He wasn't sure how they didn't both hate him, he was grateful they didn't, at least not too much. But he didn't even fully understand himself. Though hebshouldnt be surprised, they were both good people.

Rowan looked to Eric. "I hope you can be." She smiled a little sadly. "Even if it is only to see what she does. I must admit I am curious too. I'm...in a little apprehensive actually. And confused about what happened to them between when they met and this point." She said. She realized she was startingvto talk too much. When there was time she could read more and learn more about her father from his files and the others here at the tower. "Is there more you need to know? Maybe whatever Hector has for him will help? Though I think it will have to do with the shadow weapons we retrieved from my...my old home." She said.

Eric looked at her and smirked, before pulling them both out of the file, "Honestly, no. But I can tell you they were good together. Nicoli and Helena are kind of the reason I believe so much that you should work to love your betrothed. I was on a mission when this happened, Helena left shortly after Nicoli, so at first I thought they got married sooner and ran off." he sighed as me moved to the bed and sat down, "Nicoli and Helena had this thing, every mission, that they would do and it was always before she gave him some new thing she had been working on. He is kind of the test dummy in a way, but at the same time, she had always tested it out in the lab. Normally it worked from what I heard." he chuckled, "Helena used to count the days he was gone and spend hours in her lab working on something knew. She was inspired by him, Nicoli was motivated by her, from what I understood. They worked really good together. He was protective of her too, like when a new warrior would come and challenge her right to be in the tower, they always did, since she couldn't fight and even Sciences here can defend themselves. Guess she talked him into training her once, because before I left of my mission, the last time I saw them, she managed to hit one of the new guys in the nose, pretty hard. Helena hates violence, but she isn't a push over either. I don't know when the human thing happened, no one really does, but I know it was a surprise and I know that some of the females blamed Helena for being so open and understanding over everything and I think that is one reason she left this tower."

Rowan sighed and sat across from him in the chair that had been at the desk. "That's terrible and rather unfair to her. I wish I could know. I...I am glad he married my mother, otherwise I wouldn't be here. And I know he really loved her. But I also feel kind of bad for Helena, and I wish I could understand better. I guess that's kind of silly." She said quietly. She couldn't change what had happened. She looked up to Eric. "I am also kind of glad she doesn't seem to hate me." She added with a small smile. She hesitated a moment. "Do you...do you think she will try to bring my dad back? To see if they could one day have another chance together?" She asked. She knew little to nothing about the woman, but she wasn't so sure that was something she would do either. Eric knew her better than she did, so he may have a better idea.

Eric smirked, "Honestly, no. I think if she brings him back it will have to be to give him a chance to be with you. Helena is a sweet and good person, she doesn't really do selfish things like that. I wouldn't be surprised if she was working on creating a time spell to be able to return your mother to your father." He smirked at Rowan, "She isn't really good with hating people and to her, she couldn't hate you for being born, just like she couldn't hate your parents for falling in love. The way Hector explained it to me, about their decision not to go through with the wedding was, she thought Nicoli's guilt was bad enough, he couldn't control who he fall in love with, just like your mother couldn't. I imagine she thinks the same about you. You had no control over who your parents where and being born, so hating any of you, would be silly." He sighed, "It's almost morning, we shoudl get some rest. You can ask Hector about the bodies in the morning."

Rowan nodded some. She suspected as much, it was nice to hear that Eric thought so too. She truly hoped she would have a chance to get to know Helena better. She sighed and looked around the room, but nodded. "That is a good idea. Are you sure you don't want the bed?" She asked him again with a slight smile. She was sure she knew the answer, but she wanted to offer it to him anyway.

Eric looked at her and smirked, before he got to his feet, "I slept on a rock in the middle of a ditch, I can handle the floor." he said, going back to where he had been, he sighed, seating down. "Besides, if we are wrong and Helena really is upset with the whole thing, me standing guard is probably the better idea." he teased, before closing his eyes, "Good night, partner."

Rowan giggled a little as she turned out the light and then climbed into the bed. "Night...partner." She said in amusement. "Thank you Eric." She added a few minutes later. Falling asleep shortly after. She was glad she was working with him and that she was part of this mission. She wished circumstances had been different but she was glad she was here now. And she was thanking him for being so kind to her and helping her out so much.

In the morning, a knock came to the door, "Rowan." Kyle* called, "Rowan are you awake." Eric looked at the door, to make sure it wasn't going to be opened. Kyle* knew he was normal, but there was no telling who else would be with him.

Helena was the first to see them, she went to Nicoli's body first, it was cleaned up and he looked like he had been gone for days, but there was still some 'color' in his skin. She smirked at him, he looked just as handsome to her as ever. Then she went to the wife and sighed, "I was right, you are very beautiful." she said before going back to Nicoli's body, placing the long case in her hand down on the ground and looking him over. She pulled out a stone with herbs wrapped around it and lit the herbs, moving it over Nicoli's body, slowly the smoke entered the wounds and they stared to heal.

Rowan startled awake at the knock. She looked over to Eric and then quickly got out of bed, straightening herself out as best she could as she went to the door. She opened it a crack, peeki gvout to see if anyone else was with Kyle* or not since Eric was still in her room. At seeing him she couldn't help smiling. "Good morning Kyle*" she said.

Kyle* smirked, nodding, "I just came to let you know that your parents just arrived. my cousin said I should let you know the moment that they did. From what I hear, your mother's family had a lovely ceremony for them and they got to say goodbye. Anthony was going to prepare them, we thought you might like to see how and to say your goodbyes too." he stated.

Helena sighed as she finally healed the wounds and opened her necklace, she smiled at the shard, "It's time to go where you belong. I love you very much and thank you for keeping me safe for so long." she said before she stabbed the shard in Nicoli's heart, stepping back.

Rowan's smile faltered some and she nodded. "Yeah, I would like to see them. Thank you." She said. She hesitated a moment, she felt like she should clean up and make herself look presentable. "You want to come in? I-I'll be quick. But do you have time to come with me?" She asked him as she started to step back into the room. She left the door open enough for him to come in as she stepped in the rest of the way. Grabbing a clean set of clothes and then disappearing into the small attached bathroom to Changed and pull her hair back. Trubto her word she was quick. Her heart was racing and she felt like she was having trouble breathing. She wasn't sure she was ready to see their bodies. She knew they were dead but this made it so...permanent. She hadn't had to focus on them being gone forever, and now she would. She stepped out and back into the room. Her hands trembling.

Nothing happened at first. Nicoli' body remained still and ashen. But then it started to regain some of its color. His eyes remained closed but his chest rose as his body tried to take in oxygen for the first time in a couple of weeks.

Kyle* stepped in, by the time Rowan was back in the room, Eric was gone. Kyle* smirked, "I can take you, if you want." he said as he stood by the door, closing it when he was in the room.

Helena smirked, she knew he would come back, he would recall everything as he should and part of her was too happy to be sad that he would be coming back without his wife. But she another part of her felt bad and believed she shouldn't have done it. She wasn't going to stop now, though, not when it was almost complete.

Rowan gave Kyle* a small smile. "Thank you." She whispered. She wasn't surprise that Eric was gone. He had his own tasks to tend to. "I'm nervous to see them." She added quietly as she grabbed her shoes to put on.

It took a little bit longer before Nicoli finally opened his eyes. He was completely still a moment. His eyes unfocused as every memory came back to him. It was a little like waking, disoriented, from a deep sleep. Finally he looked over and saw Helena. He smiled a little, uncertain and then looked to his other side where Liv lay still in her coffin. A choked sound came from him when he saw his dead wife. He knew she was dead but they had killed her after him. He couldn't help as he reached to her, taking her hand. He closed his eyes a moment, regaining his composure. He wasn't sure about Rowan. "Why?" He asked softly. It wasn't accusing or angry, just...tired.

Kyle* smirked, "I am sure it will be fine. At least you can say goodbye, honor them both."

Helena watched him, smirking a little before she moved towards him, picking up the case, "Because you were supposed to have a long and happy life. I was supposed to see you old and I might have brought you back then." she half teased, but frowned. "I figured you wouldn't want your daughter to go through this alone, either." she showed him the case, "And this belongs to you." she stated, "I managed to create this case and it made the Shadow Power of your Blade undetectable. I've kept it with me always, along with the shard."

Rowan nodded, kissing his cheek. "Thank you. I don't know if I could do this alone." She said as she took his hand to go to where her parents were.

Nicoli opened his eyes and looked to her. He tried to sit up, though he felt awfully weak. He looked to the weapon and then to her. "I am glad she's alive. I am glad the boy saved her." He looked to the weapon again. Keeping everything organized in his mind was hard, though the ability was coming back. "I knew it was a good idea to give you the weapon."

Helena smirked, as she placed the case down, moving to help him, "We just have one thing to worry about." she looked at him, "Using a Time spell, I might be able to pull her out before they kill her." she explained to Nicoli, knowing he would know she meant his wife. "But since it is against the rules, because of how dangerous it is, I decided to bring you back before I got it right." she brushed back his hair and smiled, "Nicoli, I am really happy to see you again."

Nicoli smiled a little, but then turned his gaze over to his wife. His beautiful Olivia. He said nothing at first. Of course he wanted her to try. But it was indeed against the rules. "Just be careful." He whispered and then looked to her again. "I am glad to see you too. I assume we're at the tower? What happened to my daughter?" He asked, a new worry coming into his tone.

Helena smirked, "She is just as lovely as your wife. I actually say her last night. I might not have made the best impression. I pulled her out of your file and kind of snapped at her." she moved towards him, brushing her hand to his cheek, "I told my cousin to bring her. I figured seeing you alive might put off seeing her mother. That and I think she has a lot of questions."

Nicoli chuckled humorlessly, he found himself leaning into her touch, it was a habit and he didn't even realize he was doing it. "I'm sure she does. There's so much I have kept from her. How long has it been? Did she seem okay?" He asked, obviously worried now about if she wasn't okay. His daughter was strong he knew. It this world was completely different from the one he'd raised her in.

Helena smiled as he leaned towards her hand, "She seems to be handling things a lot better then an human would." she kissed his temple, "And she has already experienced leading a mission, from what I hear. She did a good job at it too. Even met your old pupil." she teased, "You know, the spoiled original that questioned you at every turn."

Nicoli smirked. "She's met Eric? Good, I'm glad." He said. He'd enjoyed seeing how Eric grew up, he was glad they'd gotten to meet. He was surprised though that she would have been given a mission to lead. "Hector had that much confidence in an earth girl?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and then another thought occurred to him, one he hadn't fully processed before. "You're cousin is bringing her here. Kyle*? The one who would be her betrothed..." he started, his eyes narrowing in suspicion a little. Kyle* had been a pretty incredible kid when Nicoli knew him and he had nothing against the betrothal system, by the idea of his daughter being with any man unnerved him, even if she was an adult technically. On that note he wasn't so sure about Hector having had her on a mission. She didn't grow up here like they had.

Helena smirked, "I wouldn't worry to much about that, Nicoli." She already knew what he was thinking. It was obvious to her, ever after this long, "Besides, I don't know how much she knows about this world. So, might want to get that first, before you go father on anyone, just yet." He teased.

Nicoli gave her a sheepish grin. "Right...yeah...I guess she's young, she's allowed to act it without me being the over protective dad." He said. "I am going to have to have words with Hector though about sending her on a mission." He added with a slight smile.

Rowan stopped outside of the room where her parents were supposed to be. She held Kyle's* hand tightly, nervous to go in. She was more than relieved that he was there with her. She looked over to him. "Is it weak that I am afraid to go in?" She asked with a forced smile.

Helena smiled at him, before she gave him a hug, "It's really good to see you, Nicoli." she said before she pulled away, your family grieved for you and still does. I believe your mother will be on her way here to see Rowan and to celebrate you, as between the four of us, she doesn't know about the shard."

Kyle* smirked, "My father couldn't see my mother's body either. It took everything in him to open these doors, so I don't think so." He held her hand tightly, "But I am with you and will help you any way you want me to. Even if it means opening the door for you."

Nicoli nodded after hugging her back. He had seen his mother since he left the tower. "No one knows yet that you used thebshard on me?" He asks her curiously. He was glad to be back, to see her again, and to know he'd see his daughter again. But he felt more grief coming over him as the loss of his wife was sinking in more.

Rowan looked to him, smiling a little. "Please don't let go." She said quietly, giving his hand a light squeeze as she moved to open the doors. Her hand was trembling, she wished it would stop, as she pulled the door open.
