Nicoli nodded. "I am...and I've heard that too. I suppose it's good, it keeps it from having it where the original families have a lot more power. I suppose there's nothing wrong with that either but it takes just one person for that to become a nightmare." He looked to her and smiled some. "Luckily that's not something we should have to worry about." He added. He knew they would be getting close soon, but he liked getting to know Helena a little.

Helena smiled, "Well, as a member of one of the original lines, I agree with you. Honestly, being one of the lower lines is kind of something I am looking forward to hearing about from my betrothed, if he gets to talk about it.Growing up as an original, we were pretty much taught to be perfect, given everything and you must be responsible for it all."

Nicoli looked over to her. "I'm sure that wasn't the easiest of ways to grow up." He said gently. "Hopefully that kind of mind set will change. It doesn't need to be a bad thing." He thought of Eric and how serious the child was. It was easy to joke about it with those his age who he'd grown up with. But Eric wasn't like that. A different approach with him might be better.

Helena smirked, nodding, "Yeah, but I think the challenge of childhood is getting better, if nothing else it might change through time." she suggested as it was getting dark. She sighed, looking around, "We have a few more miles to go, but we shoudl rest soon. When we get to the volt, it'll be harder."

"Challenging a child is okay. Putting the weight of the world on their shoulders should be helped if possible." He said. He sighed and looked around. "Let's stop as soon as you think it's safe enough. We'll take a little time and continue. Should we stop for the night or would it be better to keep going?" He asked.

Helena smirked, "The night. I might be able to finish a lab research by staying up for days but unlike you warriors, I can't go days without rest and still be above 80%" she teased, before looking around, besides there should be a cave near by."

Nicoli chuckled. "Just because we can doesn't mean we don't prefer to rest when the chance presents itself. Just tell me where to go, we'll stop at this cave for the night." He said. He also wanted to make sure everyone in his team was doing alright still. He was sure they were but he liked to check.

Helena motioned a little to the left, "It's an underground cave, that way. Not too far off the path and it's got it's own cooling system, so it should be warm." she smiled at Nicoli, "I will keep in mind that you rather rest then go for days on the go." she pointed out.

Nicoli smirked and nodded as he followed her directions. "I promise we're mostly like that. I'll admit I have too much energy sometimes in prep for a mission, but we take what we can get when we can get it. You never know when the opportunity will come again to rest or eat when on a mission." He says.

Helena looking at him with a grin, "Oh, I can help with that one." she said as he unleashed her bag from her body and pulled it to her chest to open it. She took out a bar, handing it to him, "It's a meal bar. We designed them recently for your tower, actually. Since your warriors move around a lot, thought it would help you make sure you eat. I almost got it just right, but for now, I can only manage to perfect the vegetables. Protein and meat are still in the works, but they might take another decade or two." She smiled at him, "Try it, it'll give you most of your daily intake requirements in three bars, so you can cut your eating to one third of the time you would normally take. Or you can eat on the go."

Nicoli took it, looking at it a little skeptically. He glanced to her and smiled some then looked to the bar and took a bite from it. It may be an acquired taste but it was not bad. Actually he liked it. He'd had much worse food. "This is pretty good. I look forward to when you get the other ones down. It's a pretty good idea. It'd make things much quicker."

Helena smiled happily, "Thanks. Since this rebellion started, we have been trying to find a way to think the towers for helping us and this is our way to think your tower. That and this way, no animals become extinct." she teased

Nicoli laughed. "Hey were careful about how much we hunt. But these will help a lot. My tower will appreciate these a lot." He says.

Helena smirked, nodding, "Good. I'm glad." she said, before Rowan was pulled from the file.

Helena looked at her, before she took the file, "Who are you? And what are you doing with this?" she snapped, she was older now, some grey lined the side of her hair, as she looked between them. Eric jumped up and moved towards them, before he stopped, recognizing Helena.

"Helena?" Eric stated.

Helena looked at him, "Eric? What are you doing here? What are either of you doing in this room?"

Rowan startled as she was suddenly pulled from the vision. Her cheeks were wet from tears that had been shed unknowingly. She quickly tried to wipe them away, taking a moment to orient herself again as she looked to Eric and then Helena. "H-Helena...?" She started and then sniffed a little, composing herself. "It's my father's room. I-I'm staying here for the time." She had so much going through her mind but the first was that now someone else knew about Eric.

Helena looked at her softly, "You're Nicoli's daughter?" she asked then took a breath, before she handing the file back, "I'm sorry. I didn't know you were back, I heard from Hector that you were on a mission." she looked between them and smirked at Eric, "And I heard you were dead."

Eric smirked, "It's a long story, but in basic terms, I'm with the enemy and at the moment am trying to find the spies."

"So, don't let anyone know I know any better or where you are." she smiled, "Got it." she sighed, placing her hand on her locket.

"Why are you here?" Eric asked confused.

"I'm here for Nicoli. They were going to bring his wife and his body here and I....well, he was a great friend and I promised to keep something for him. I think now is the perfect time to return it."

Eric looked even more lost, "So, you are giving it to Rowan?"

"No." Helena said, "I am returning it to the man I gave it to. I just figured, well, that I could be around the old room." she smirked, "We had good times in this room, secrets." she looked at Rowan, "Sorry." she reached out her hand, "I am Helena, I was a few days from marrying your father when he went to live in the human world." she smiled, "I am happy to met you."

Rowan smiled a little sadly and reached to take her hand. "It's nice to meet you too. I....I was just reading...watching...? The first time he met you." She found her cheeks reddening. "It's really nice to meet you." She said again. She couldn't help but to notice the locket and was about to ask about it when she realized something else she hadn't quite processed. "Wait...t-they're bringing my parents back here? They have the bodies?" She asked, finding herself starting to get choked up again. She might get to see them one last time...she found herself quickly wiping at her eyes. When things had settled she really wanted to talk to Helena about her father. She was also curious about what all had happened for him to meet her mother and stay on earth instead of remaining here.

Helena smirked, "As far as I know they were supposed to recover them after the funeral, so the humans could have their own goodbye to them." She sighed, holding the locket as she brought her hand back. "I'll leave you two to rest. I'm honestly just here for one thing and then I have a mission of my own to deal with?"

Eric looked confused, "You returned to your tower?"

Helena smiled, "I don't have a tower. But I am returning to this one. This became my home because of Nicoli, I will return with him, because of that." She looked at Rowan, "She must be very beautiful, your mother. You are very lovely."

Rowan smiled a little. "Thank you." She said quietly. She hesitated a moment. "If you'll be around. Maybe...maybe after all of this we could talk?" SHe had so many questions. She felt herself blushing. She hoped Helena would be okay with that, she hoped she would be willing. She wasn't sure why she and her father didn't marry other than because of her mother and she didn't know how Helena felt about any of that. But there was something about the woman that she felt comfortable with.

Helena smirked, " i would like that." she assured her before she sighed, "I'll be in my room, it's on the other side of this wall." she said as she moved to the wall Eric had been against. She placed her hand on the wall, "You can use the same code that you do to get into this door as you do with this wall." she explained. Then she turned to Rowan, "I hate to say it, since it might sound ugly or mean, but I wouldn't get to comfortable with this room. Not to be mean, but you won't be here very long."

Eric looked at her, stepping beside Rowan, he knew Helena never wanted to learn to fight, but he also knew that she knew a think or two, thanks to Nicoli, "You never threatened before."

Helena looked at him, "It's not a threat." she pointed to the file, "Open that up to when we got near the end, you'll understand what it is that will happen." she moved to pass them before stopping at the door, she smirked, "I loved him in a way that was hard to explain." she said, looking to Rowan, "But seeing the love he had for your mother, I was happy to let him cancel the wedding. When you love someone, you choice their happiness over your own. I know he loved me, that is why it was easy to let him go. Seeing you, I'm happy I did. It'll give me a chance to see the woman that made the world stop." she assured her before she walked out of the room.

Eric sighed, turning to Rowan, "You okay?" he smirked, "You know, I think she liked you."

Rowan looked to Eric as Helena left and smiled a little, grateful for his presence beside her. He reminded her a lot of her father and imagined if she'd had an older brother he'd probably a little like Eric. "You think? I hope so. I was afraid she may not depending on what happened between her and my father." She said. She glanced to the file and then back to Eric. "Why did you say she was threatening?" SHe asked curiously. SHe wanted to know what Helena was talking about in the file but also what Eric had meant.

Eric looked at her and smirked, "Well, she said you wouldn't be here very long and not to get comfortable. Almost sounded like she knew you wouldn't be staying but you don't really have much of anywhere to go." he sighed, "Helena has never been threatening in any way. the words just didn't sound right coming from her." he commented, then looked at the file, "What did you see in that?"

Rowan smiled, appreciating the protectiveness he showed whether he meant to or not. She understood though. She was not meant to stay in this wing of the tower. "The mission my father went on to her old tower. One where you were with him actually, and when he first met Helena I guess. Kind of a...funny coincidence she was the one who pulled me out of it." She said. She couldn't help but to smile more. "Personality wise it's kinda hard to believe you're the same kid who had been with my father." She said lightly.

Eric looked surprised and smirked a little embarrassed, "Yeah. My family had their way of hammering things into you at a young age." He looked at her, "I was pretty stuck up then, no just because he was more lax with everything, but I knew he was from a lower family then mine. But I was happy in the end, lower family or relaxed leader as he was, he showed me that it doesn't matter where you come from, we are equals and no matter how you act, doesn't really reflect on your skill level." he chuckled. Eric sighed, "So, did you want to see what she was talking about. I can navigate it for you. If you don't know how to work the file, it will toss you around and there is no telling when it will change or if it will."

Rowan smiled some. "Either way I'm glad to have met you. I think when this is all done it will be good for Emery too." She said, the words just coming out. She nodded a little at his question. "I would like help, I haven't quite mastered navigating the files yet." She said. It had only been a short time though, she hadn't had much chance to train in anything.
