"I was going to try to get you to come with me. You need rest Emery. You were hurt during that mission and I bet you haven't left this area once." She said. "I could relieve you, but I'd like to know you're going to actually go rest." She said gently.

Nicoli smiled a little as he glanced to her again. "I believe you, and your experiments did help me out. Which is why I look forward to it again." He said

Emery looked at her up and down for a moment, "I'm fine. Besides Hector already assigned someone to relieve me and I'm sure he wouldn't have picked you. Especially then, your parents bodies just got here." He pointed out and then sighed, "Go find Adam. I'm sure he can explain why you can't avoid your dead parents for long." He said, morning her to go away.

Helena smirked, "Good. But go it the time spell, I'll be testing it out first. Rowan has lost one parent too many, and I will know how to keep the danger of death to a minimum, better then you." She assured him

"I will get an explanation later. But I've already gone to see them." She said quietly, looking to the floor a moment. She took a deep breath and then looked back to him. "Emery please come with me. I...I know there's no reason for it and you don't want it, but I am worried about you." She said. She wasn't sure he should know about her father but it might be a way to get him to step away.

Nicoli tensed a little but nodded. "Just, try not to get yourself killed okay? I'd really like for you to meet Olivia." He says gently.

Emery raised his eyebrow again, "I'm fine. Anthony already cleared me. Other then some bruises, I'm perfectly for to do what ever I have to." He sighed, looking at her, "Maybe you should be thinking about joining another tower. This tower is basically a war tower and if you are going to work about everything, you'll go crazy here."

Helena stopped in the hall and took his hand to stop him. Turning to him completely, "I want to meet her too." She smirked, "I feel like I should have been the stalker ex, checking in on you and your family, just so that I had the chance to see her in action. But, Nicoli, some spells aren't perfect and if I can't get it perfect, I will settle for right. I may never get to met her." She smiled, whole heartedly, "But she will be alive." She wanted him to be ready, she might have to take Olivia's place, in order to fully bring her back and make sure the time line wasn't changed too much.

Rowan smiled a little. "I will be staying here. Please come with me Emery? I think there is someone you should meet." She added. She just had to get him away. She wondered if having him meet her father would be okay? "On the way maybe you can explain some of your burial and funeral processes as well." She added.

Nicoli stayed tense but nodded. "It won't come to that Helena. You two will get to be friends I hope." He says. He wasn't sure what would happen. He just felt weary and he kept seeing his dead wife in his mind's eye.

Emery looked at her and crossed his arms, "How are you going to make sure that she doesn't get out?. Or how are you going to keep an eye on her, if you are showing me something?" He sighed, shaking his head, "Just go....get ready for your test, you need work and I am sure Adam will be happy to help you figure out what you have to do."

Helena smirked, "Everything is going to be perfectly fine. I imagine we both will get along, just like I do with you." she assured him, looking at him and then she sighed, "Let's go see my uncle. You wanted to talk to him."

Rowan as quiet for a moment, weighing options in her head. Whoever came to replace Emery would be easy enough for Eric to take care of so long as it wasn't Emery or Hayden who were around. "As soon as your relief comes, please come with me." She said instead.

Nicoli nodded, moving to walk with her to speak to her uncle. He needed to be caught up on everything. He was going to try hard to not be the overprotective father but a part of him was still a little uneasy about Rowan being here without having grown up in this world. This tower especially.

Emery sighed, as he moved towards her taking hold of her shoulders before turning her around, he pushed her forward, "Go. I have work and you need to figure out what you are going to do with two dead parents and how to deal with whatever you are supposed to be." he sighed, before he went back to were he was, "This is my responsibility, not you. I got you here, safe and that is the end of what I promised to do."

Helena smirked at him, as she led the way, "You know, I think it's a good thing you came back first. Rowan is going to need help getting used to this world, in order to help you get your wife used to this world. Plus, when she gets here, she won't be able to see anyone, the castle will have to learn to allow humans to see them in this plane."

Rowan sighed a little, clenching her jaw. She moved until she was a little distance from him and then turned around again. "I'm sorry to say you can't get rid of me that easily." She said. She hesitated. "Emery I want to keep learning. Maybe you're just guarding but I want to learn everything. Who better to teach me than one of the best there is?" She asked.

Nicoli paused a moment. "That's right. How...how was Rowan able to see everyone? She saw Emery too when he first came." He said. It wasn't unheard of, but it wasn't common.

Emery glared at her, "Haven't you heard, Eric is back. Why don't you focus on getting him to teach you."

Helena stopped in her tracks and looked at him, "That's not possible. Nicoli, she is part human. With one of us, she would be like Kyle*, able to see beyond our plane. But being part human, that's not possible, it's never been heard of. Are you sure?" she asked amazed and curiously.

Rowan hesitated, that was not the best use of words. She wanted to ask him once things were more settled. "Emery please, why can you not stand being around me so much?" She asked.

Nicoli nodded. "I'm fairly certain. She's always been able to see us I think. She used to have these imaginary friends that weren't so...imaginary. They were from this tower from what I could tell the one time I saw them." He added.

Emery took a deep breath, "Because you shouldn't exist." he said calmly, "He shouldn't have left. My brother talked about your father like he was the most impressive being this tower has ever had. But he wasn't, he left before this war started and when we needed him, he turned his back on us. So, the less I am around you, the less I want to get rid of you."

Helena smirked, "I will find out, for you. I promise, I will make sure that your daughter is safe and that whatever this is, won't hurt her or put her in danger." she said, before motioning him to follow, "Let's see my uncle."

That hurt far more than she thought it would and her next words came out without her permission. "He's back now. He can help like he should have." She said.

Nicoli nodded. "Thank you." He said as he followed her to see Hector. He sighed again as they walked in silence. Staying that way until they reached Hector's office.

emery looked surprised, sighed, as he snapped, "Oh, great. Another one, back from the died." he took a deep breath, "You know, it doesn't really matter. He is just going to try and get back to that human world of yours." she shook his head, "Just go. If your father is back, why don't you take him with you and leave. you are about as useless as a log. This is a war, you don't know even an ounce of what that means and you probably wouldn't be able to handle it."

Helena nodded as she lead the way, before she saw an arrow fly as they were walking. She froze for a moment, not sure where it came from or why, but the arrow wasn't coming at her, it was going to Nicoli.

Rowan shook her head, crossing her arms defiantly. He was hurting her, she wasn't sure why it hurt, but it did. "I am going to learn. He can go back but I will stay. I will become useful and powerful Emery." She said.

Nicoli's reaction time was a little slower than it used to be - he blamed it on having been dead the last week or so - but it was still quick. He dodged quickly, pulling Helena so she was behind him and out of the line of fire and he looked around for the shooter, staying on his guard.

Emery growled, "You will being a pain and a liability, just go." he shouted at her. He glared at her, "I'm not going to protect you again. I'm not going to let you get in my way, either."

Helena jumped, surprised as she heard the steps. Jeremiah's bow was pulled back with another arrow aimed at Nicoli, "Impressive." he said coldly, "I might actually think you were you." he said, before he stopped, "But I know Nicoli a lot better then that."

Helena looked surprised and then sighed, "J? You are back." she bite her lip, figuring that Jeremiah found out that Nicoli was dead, but not about the shard. "J, this is Nicoli."

"No." Jeremiah aimed the arrow at Nicoli's head, "Nicoli left for earth, he came back, dead. And this one moved more then half a second slower and dodged. Nicoli used to catch my arrows before they were even close enough to reach him. That" he motioned to Nicoli, "is something else."

"IM not asking you to save me. And I will make sure I don't get in your way. But I will not leave Emery." She snapped.

Nicoli looked at Jeremy in surprise. "J...my god you...aged..." he said teasingly. "I'm afraid being dead for at least a week seems to slow the reaction time. I only woke up....half an hour ago?" He said, not flinching at the arrow pointed at his head.

Emery glared at her, "Fine. I'll be sure to be there to say I told you so, when you are killed." he promised her, "Now, leave me alone."

J smirked, "You almost sound like him too." he glanced to Helena, "You can't seriously believe this, can you? They have spies everywhere, why not act like our dead are returning."

Helena sighed, "It is him." she tried to convince him, "I gave him a shard before, I returned him."

Jeremiah let out a breath, before he lowered his arrow, he placed it back in it's hold, before he nodded, "Okay. Let's see, then." he said grabbing his hammer behind him and charging Nicoli.

Helena jumped, "Nicoli, your shadow blade." she called to him, before Jeremiah could get to him, so he could draw it. After all, only a shadow weapon could defend against another shadow weapon.

Rowan let out a growl of frustration. "You're impossible. Emery you're coming with me when your relief comes." She ordered. She didn't think that's go over well.

Nicoli grinned, having to dodge first as he tried to summon his blade. As he owner he could summon it, especially now he was back where he had left it. As his sword appeared he used it to block against the next attack.

Emery looked at her, "Really? You actually think I am going to do what you want me to. Why don't you leave me to my job and you go do your own thing."

Jeremiah's hammer slammed against Nicoli's sword and smirked at the black line of metal that lined the wide blade, in the middle of the sharp edges. "Impressive." he said pulling back before he slammed his hammer towards him again, before he jumped up and slammed the hammer down on Nicoli. It was a move that he used, normally successfully, against many opponents that fall, giving him an opening, but Nicoli's had a move of his own.

Rowan rowed her eyes, it didn't move. She would have to figure out something else to get him to leave.

Nicoli grinned and waited until the last minute for Jeremy to come down on his attack. Then I'm a fluid motion he slid out of the way, popping up behind Jeremy, brandishing his sword so the tip was pointed at his neck. It was a move that often worked for decapitating his opponents.

Emery sighed, glaring at her before crossing his arms over his chest.

Jeremiah smirked, pausing for a moment before he turned, slamming his hammer against Nicoli's blade, then swinging it around to place it back in it's hold, "A shard, huh? Emery shard?" he asked, raising his eyebrow.

Helena smirked, "Family shard." she confirmed, "It was something my family held dear, from one of the first Emery stones, that were found."

J looked at Nicoli, "Guess your back, huh?" he stood up straight, "Well, you can't blame me for wanting to be sure. I found a spy in my unit this last mission. Nearly cost me all my teammates, including Kevin and Julia. They will be very interested into seeing you."

Rowan's raised an eyebrow as if asking what he was going to do, because she wasn't going to budge.

Nicoli grinned. "I don't blame you in the least. I am glad to be back and I'll be happy to catch up with everyone....and apologize. I never should have left." He said quietly. "Has the spy issue gotten bad?" He asked

Emery sighed, rolling his eyes as he ignored her, keeping his arms crossed over his chest.

Jeremiah sighed, nodding, "There are spies everywhere. Azra was one, she was found out and left. I heard Kyle brought her back, but she is on lock down. I just heard on my way here to pay my respects to you." he sighed, "Which I don't really have to, since you aren't dead."

Helena smirked, "I hate to get in the middle, but Nicoli can catch up with all of you, soon. We were on our way to get an update on the war, from my uncle."

J nodded, "I just saw Hector, he is in the Healing Hall. One of the other missions brought back some of another team's bodies for identification. Their mission was a failure and I heard a few Team Leaders wanting the chance to complete it and kill who ever killed our team."

Nicoli nodded gravely in understanding. "Failed missions are hard to have to deal with." Gen hesitated. "My wife, Olivia, is still in the funeral chamber if you'd like to meet her. Otherwise let's catch up later, I'd like to introduce you to my daughter. I hear she's been adjusting quite well." He said.
