Helena smiled to herself, as Kelly watched her and sighed, turning to Helena, "We should go." she said.

In the hall, Caleb jumped in front of Rowan, tilting his head in silence before he sighed, "I wouldn't have been happy to kill her." he stated before he handed Rowan a diamond like stone, with shifting colors, "Iron of a Diamond Dwarf." he said, "The rest I don't have. I will deal with Kelly." he stated before he vanished again.

Rowan startled but then smiled, holding the tone close. “I would not have betrayed your secret.” She promised him, sure he could hear her wherever he was. She smiled more to herself and then moved forward again, searching the training rooms first for Adam. Hoping he would not be difficult to find.

Adam sighed as he finished the last of his morning exercises and smirked. He was pretty sure he bit the others on time. Now, he was hungry and he knew exactly where to go. He turned to leave before he smiled, "Just the girl I was going to see."

Rowan smiled when she saw him and then grinned broadly when he spoke. “What a coincidence, you’re just the guy I was looking for.” She said with a laugh.

Adam grinned, "Really? Sounds like we are going to have a routine of looking for each other then." He winked, "Maybe even more then that." He teased

Rowan laughed. “Don’t get your hopes up. Actually Helena asked me if I would see if you could get a couple of metals for her?” She asked. “Uhm, she called them Galiffik and Shifted Earth from the Fairy Heart?”

Adam looked confused, "Hmmmmm, yeah, actually. My father sent some, I haven't gotten a chance to use." He looked at her lost and asked, "Why would she need those metals. They aren't good together?" He pointed out

Rowan hesitated. “There is something she needs to make. Something she’s made before. But those are the stones she needs for it.” She explained. She gave him an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry I can’t say more than that.”

Adam nodded, "You know. You are starting to really act like a Spy, are you sure you want to stay in this Tower?" he asked, sighing disappointed as he moved to go lead her to where he kept his metals.

Rowan gave him a sheepish smile. “Sorry?” She said, unsure if it was a compliment or not. She sort of took it that way but his tone implied otherwise. “Besides, why would I want to leave this tower when I have you as a friend and Emery to annoy?” She asked teasingly.

Adam sighed, shrugging, "You keep a lot of secrets. To be honest, if I didn't know you the way I do, I wouldn't trust you and everyone in the tower has to trust each other." he pointed out, "Spys don't live here, you know, they have their own little pocket in our world, because they can't always be trusted. Pretty sure you were warned of that on our last mission together."

Rowan sighed a little. “Believe me Adam if I could, I would tell you. I wish I could because it would make things easier. But until I talk to Hector or Kyle* about it I can’t share anything. It also has something to do in part with my mission with Brendon and right now it’s in a delicate area.” She said gently. His words hurting more than she’d thought they would, but they made sense.

Adam sighed, "That doesn't explain why you need two metals that bounce off each other. Whatever Helena has in her head, doesn't have anything to do with your mission, I'm sure. Helena is a Science." he stated, "But if that is what you think. Hector is going to tell us when he gets back anyway."

Rowan sighed. “Maybe Adam, but that’s his place to do, not mine. And it had to do with some finding experiment or other that she made for my dad years ago. It’s who it’s for that is relafed to my mission. god! I wish I could explain it Adam but I can’t. I know I’m not doing a lot to get your trust but I could really use it friend to friend.“ she said. He was right though. With what eric had found out about captives being brought to the darkness, that could be what Hector’s meeting was about.

Adam sighed, "Okay." he said but he couldn't get that feeling out of his head. As he lead the way, he was silent, he didn't really have much to say. But when he got to the door he stopped, "Just wait here." he told her, motioning to the hallways before he unlocked the door, opening it just enough for him to get through before closing it.

Rowan didn’t like this, she didn’t like how he was treating her suddenly. She supposed she deserved it but it was unsettling. He was one of the few she could count on to be her friend and she was ruining that. But she stuck by what she said, she couldn’t tell him anything, not yet. There were too many little pieces that all went together.

Adam sighed as he came out, two stone like metals in either of his hands, one looked like it had layers, "Here." he said, handing them to Rowan, "You can't hold them in the same hand, if they get too close to each other without a barrier, they could punch a hole in the tower." he explained, and shrugged, "Whatever Helena is going to do with them, just tell her to return when she doesn't use. I have plans for them too, just haven't gotten the chance to do anything."

Rowan bit her lip, holding the stones as he’d instructed. “I...thank you Adam.” She said. He felt so much more distant all of a sudden. “I promise I will tell you everything as soon as I can. You’re too important of a friend to me.” She said quietly.

Adam nodded, "I have a mission soon, I have to get ready and pack." he told her and then sighed, "Don't destroy my home before I get back." he said, before he walked passed her to go get something to eat and get ready.

Rowan frowned deeply, her heart sinking. She clenched her jaw and pushed it all down as she made her way back to the Med Hall. Her mood considerably worse than it had been. When she entered the room Helena was in she tried not to be snappy. “Is it possible to do what you need and not use all of this?” She asked Helena quietly, holding up the two stones, one in each hand. “He had other plans for them.” She added quietly.

Helena looked at her and nodded, "As she took the stones in each hand, "Did he have the diamond Dwarf?" she asked, before placing the stones down, one on the bed and the other on a table a little away from the bed. She looked at Rowan, she knew something was wrong, but she wasn't sure what. Kelly was called away by someone, another Spy they guessed, Anthony went back to his rounds and Helena figured they should wait for Rowan, in the room. "Rowan? Are you okay?"

She looked at Helena confused a moment and then, “oh, um, yeah...” she pulled the stone Caleb had given her out of her pocket, figuring she could just let Helena believe Adam had given her all of them. She hesitated at Helena’s question. It helped that Helena knew about Eric and knew what she was doing, but she was even more paranoid about the walls having ears after she had talked with Eric. “I just...It was suggested that me and my secrets might be better suited not in this tower. Adam has been one of the few friends who has been on my side and I am pretty sure I just lost him. I feel like I can’t share any of what I’m doing because it all connects back to my...other mission.” She said, plopping down in a chair. She of course had Caleb in a way and Eric, though both tended to keep away from public light. And she had Kyke*...she thought at least. She wasn’t sure why she felt okay talking to Helena about this, but if it had been her father, she would have kept her mouth shut. Luckily he’d had to step out momentarily before she returned. But she wasn’t sure why she felt that way either.

Helena smirked, as she places Diamond Dwarf with the stone at the table, she moved to Rowan and kneels down, "If he is important to you and is a good friend, he might just be upset. Warriors don't keep secrets unless they are on a mission and no one knows you have a mission beyond catching Eric." she assured her, "So, when you finish them both, he will understand." she smiled at Rowan, and placed her hand on her shoulder, "You belong where you are at home, no matter who or where it is. There is just a lot that keeps piling on you and it's not fair, I'm sorry. But never question where you belong, because no matter what happens, you will always be able to feel in your heart where your home is." she grinned as she stood up, "I only need a little of each one, then you can take them back to him. And you will see, in a few days, you and he will be friends again; you just have to know that sometimes things are rough and it takes some time to remember that everything will be better."

Rowan felt her eyes sting with tears but she refused to cry, Emery’s words playing back in her mind. Why did these men have so much influence on her? She gave Helena a small smile and nodded. “Thank you.” She said quietly. She figured giving Adam space after returning his stones would be good. Just for now so she didn’t have to keep lying to him. Of course if he was truly going on a mission she wouldn’t have a choice. “Is there anything I can help with? With the stones?” She asked. Wondering if she would be able to return them before Adam left. Her father walked in then, looking between the two women as if noticing he’d missed something.

“You got the materials?” He asked Helena instead.

Helena smiled at Rowan and then to NIcoli, she nodded, "Rowan got the metals, and the rest is all here." she motioned to everything they brought from the lab, she had unpacked a bit of it. "This will take me a while, why don't the two of you teach each other a thing or two." she smiled, before turning to Rowan, "Give me about an hour and then you can return them. Cutting what I need will take some time, in itself, I have to be careful." she assured her.
