Rowan bit her lip, but then nodded. Nicoli looked between them uncertainly and then decided that maybe he shouldn’t ask, not yet. “Sure thing, we’ll be back in about an hour.” He said as he guided Rowan out of the room and towards the training area.

“I want to know the basics of Shadow Transfer. E...I have someone else teaching me how to do it.” Rowan said. Her father looked to her in surprise but then shook his head.

“No, you’re not ready for it.” He said. Rowan clenched her jaw, but didn’t push, Eric said he’d teach her anyway.

“Fine. Then work on something that’ll get me through the rest of my tests and placement.” She said. Nicoli raised an eyebrow.

“So demanding...” Nicoli teased gently, smirking. “Very well, come on.” He said, guiding her to the training area.

Helena had managed to get everything started in an hour, she had got the metals cut and placed back in their separate locations and kept them there as she started to work, she had everything nearly ready to put back together so she sat down and waited. There was one thing she needed Nicoli to get and she was sure that it would be a little hard for him.

Rowan and Nicoli returned a little later than an hour, both panting and Rowan with a lovely bruise on her cheek that made her father cringe every time he looked at her. They had both gotten so absorbed in training, both try to push through thoughts on their minds that they had pushed harder than they have yet in training. Rowan had lost focus towards the end though and a hard blow to her face had knocked her to the ground. Every time Nicoli tried to apologize or talk her into going to the Med Hall she just glared at him. It had been her own fault, and he was supposed to be training her. It was okay if he actually hit her in those instances.
"We're back." She said with a sigh as they found Helena. She looked around. "Are you done already?" She asked, almost sounding surprised. Nicoli smirked.

"She probably finished not long after we left knowing her skill." He said with a playful wink in Helena's direction. He walked over to her, pressing a kiss to her forehead as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "How are you feeling?" He asked.

Helena smirked at him, "I'm fine." she said, "But no, I'm....." she stood up and looked at Rowan, before she glared at Nicoli, she didn't say a word to him about it, but she looked at Rowan with a sigh, taking the stone on the bed, with a cut and then the one at the table,in her other hand, "Take these to your friend." she said before motioning to her bruise, "And get that checked." she smiled to Rowan, "Such a pretty face shouldn't keep training scars, and I'm sure Anthony can have it fix in minutes." she stated, "I need to speak with your father, there is still one thing I'm going to need."

Rowan rolled her eyes a little, but couldn't help smiling some as she turned to go. She cast one glance back at them before leaving to find Adam. She hesitated, not sure where to start. He would be done with breakfast surely, but she didn't know if he would have gone back to training. She sighed and opted to try the training hall first, she would check his room after.

Nicoli gave Helena a sheepish smile. "I tried to apologize to her....many times, but you know how training gets in this tower, she needs to learn. Actually I think she's gotten that part down, she's more stubborn than me about going to the Med Hall." He sighed. "What do you need me to do?" He asked.

Helena glared at Nicoli, when Rowan was gone, "Apologize. NIcoli, you apologize for things that are not physical." she snapped before she took a breath, "She is just starting her training, I understand you have been in the human world a long time, but please try to remember she wasn't born here and she is still not a warrior, she might be, but she is not now. Next time you want to train her, be knowledgeable of your own strength or send her to a wise. She needs to study as much as she needs to fight." she took a deep breath from her scolding before she moved to saucer and took it to him, "I need Julia and Kevin's blood. Kelly's blood won't help, she has different DNA then Gabriel, I need the parent genes."

Nicoli raised an eyebrow at her scolding, but didn't dare argue. He knew she was right, and he still felt guilty about it. His guilt faded though as Helena asked him to get the blood from Julia and Kevin. Once his best friends, but he had betrayed them and their trust. He knew how incredibly important that trust was among the warriors in the tower. "I hope you have a back up for collecting blood after Julia has killed me." He muttered as he took the saucer. He would do it, to help her, to help this tower however he could, he would get what she needed. "And does their blood need to remain separated?" He asked her curiously.

Helena shook her head, "No, they have to be together. If Julia does kill you, then I will have to wait for Kelly to get back and have her do it." she said before she sighed, "And the three of you do need to find some common ground again. I can get this done, but without that blood it won't locate their son."

Nicoli sighed a little. "I'll get you your blood. Just...the healing between the three of us is going to take a little time. Not everyone is as forgiving as you are Helena, which is a strength in itself." He said gently. He lightly kissed her cheek and then left the room. He had little doubt in where Julia and Kevin would be and headed straight to where he assumed they might be.

Helena smirked slightly as she watched him go, she doubt that it would take too long, but she wanted them to at least have a chance to try.

Kevin and Julia had been trying to figure out a way to find their son, but ended up in the training area, to get some steam out. Julia had lost Kevin, never a child and she doubt that it would be any easier. Kevin was still a little paranoid in the whole thing and he wasn't sure they could find their son in one piece, or at least not broken as he had been.

Nicoli stepped silently and cautiously into the training area, watching the two parents, feeling their pain. He cleared his throat a little to try to get their attention. "Helena might have a way to help." He said. Whatever they felt towards him, he didn't think they would deny Helena trying to help.

Kevin and Julia stopped, turning to him, Julia growled, before Kevin stopped her from going towards Nicoli. Kevin nodded, "How can we help?"

Julia growled, "Why did she send you?" she glared, "Of all Shadows, she should hate you more then anyone."

Kevin sighed, turning to her, "Julia." he whispered to her softly, "Please."

Nicoli wasn't bothered by her words, in part because he knew they were true. "You're not wrong." He said slowly. There was so much he wanted to say to them, that he wanted to tell them. But now was not the time, and he had little hope that it ever would be. "She sent me I think because of our past...and she is trying to finish her tool to help find your son. Splitting the work between us will make it a little quicker." He held up the saucer. "Remember the tracker she made all those years ago? She is recreating it for Kelly. I just need blood from both of you. Helena needs it to help with the tracking piece for Gabriel." He said gently.

Kevin nodded, before he looked at Julia, who glared at Nicoli, "Okay." he said to Julia and she looked at her husband. Julia sighed, before she nodded, Kevin did too. They turned to Nicoli, Kevin knew that if Julia moved she might change her mind. So he motioned Nicoli closer, "I forgot all about that device."

Julia snapped, "Could have helped us, to find you." she said to Kevin, "But of course, the human lover took the one Science that knew it and shattered her."

Kevin sighed, "Please, Julia."

Julia turned away, she wasn't going to ever have anything nice to say to Nicoli, again, or at least she believed she wouldn't, "She should never have helped him understand her." she growled. Kevin sighed, knowing his wife, the best be could hope for, was her not crawling over him to kill Nicoli.

Nicoli moved closer as Kevin had motioned him to do. There was so much he had missed in their lives. He's heard some things and he kicked himself for not being around for them. He pushed that thought away, he couldn't change what had happened, he could blame himself all he wanted but it wasn't going to change what he had done to them. "It's okay, I deserve it." He said with a gentle smile. "She didn't say it had to be much, but I need it from both of you. She should have the device set up by tonight." He said quietly.

Kevin nodded, before he turned to Julia. She knew what he wanted as she pulled her Katana out of it's sheath and sliced her palm. She placed it over the Saucer for a moment before pulling back. Kevin sighed, as he sat down, he couldn't take a cut so easily anymore. Julia wrapped her hand, before she used it to grab the saucer from Nicoli. She glared as him as she brought it down to Kevin. It took a few moments before he would let her have his hand, he turned away in a slight panic. It was strange for Julia sometimes, Kevin had never flinched at a cut, but since he had been found, and healed, he had found it hard to get used to fighting again, bruises and cuts included. She sliced his hand and quickly restrained it over the saucer, as Kevin's instincts kicked in, he pulled against her and she held him, her eyes glowing as she dropped her Katana and used her free hand to restrain him from kicking the saucer over. "Take it." she growled to Nicoli, glaring at him, "And leave. It's your greatest skill."

Nicoli couldn't help but to watch everything. So much. He had missed so much, had left. Kevin shouldn't be like this, if he had been here he could have stopped it from happening. Or at least he could have tried. He would have done everything in his power to take that pain from his friend. He took the saucer, hesitated, and then started to go. He stopped in the doorway. "If I could take that pain Julia, if I could take all of your suffering, I would." He whispered, knowing she heard just fine as he started to leave the room. Maybe he could find something, maybe he could do something to do just that. It was the least he owed to them after he'd abandoned them and everyone else.

Julia glared at him as he left and she did hear him, but it only upset her more. She wanted to attack him, but Kevin was in pain, he was in a panic and she had to soothed him, before he would allow anyone to help him.

Helena sighed, she was already one third done and she was sure that by the time Nicoli arrived she would have the space to use the blood.

By the way Nicoli returned to Helena he was trying hard not to shake with anger. Anger at himself and what he had done. He set the saucer gently on the table next to her and then took a seat. "I'm afraid I'm a little rusty, but can Shadow Transfer help with power for...for trauma?" He asked her. His tone even, no emotion behind it.

Helena smirked as he came in but stopped to listen to him as he placed the saucer down, she frowned, and sighed. She shook her head, "No, Nicoli. It can't." she bite her lip before she moved towards him, placing her hand on his, "Kevin went through something we haven't really been about to help him with. Since he was an only child, we doesn't have the right person for it, I think is how Hector explained it. Someone that can help him make sense of everything and help him get passed it. I heard that the spell to use needs both to have the same bloodline and share the same type. Like a sibling, but Kevin doesn't have any." she said, knowing what he was getting at.

Nicoli's hands clenched into tight fists and then let out a frustrated sigh as he ran a hand over his face. "Surely there has to be something I can do...something I can do to help him." With her he couldn't keep it up. His voice was hoarse as he looked to her. "If I hadn't left...if I hadn't abandoned them, I-I could have stopped it. Surely I could have." He whispered.

Helena frowned, "No. NIcoli, no one could have helped. They took Kevin out of nowhere, on a mission that was supposed to be easy and safe. Julia wasn't even on that mission, no one thought anything would happen and it was just luck that I was working with a team on another mission, that we came up with a device that helped Hector and the Spys that found him. We still don't know why they tried to brainwash Kevin, but we know he survived and they didn't break him for long." she looked at him, "We don't know what would have happened, we just have to make sure it doesn't happen to their son."

Nicoli growled a little. Not at her, but in frustration towards himself. He believed her, and yet he still couldn't help what he felt about it all. "Will it be possible at all for me to help find their son do you think? Will Kelly just take your device and go?" He asked. He knew how it was with a Spy and their Guard. It could be unsettling at times and yet with his daughter now a Guard for one of the best Spies he knew, he was glad for the intense loyalty. "I have to find some way to help them Helena." He whispered.

Helena nodded, "Okay." she said, as she thought for a moment, "I think I can alter the device slightly to activate on your DNA. Then Kelly would have to take you with her and you both could find him." then she paused, "But if the device works that way, you have to be careful, Nicoli. If I change it that way, I'm not sure how it will affect you."

Nicoli didn't hesitate. "Then do it. Kelly will hate me for it, but then I can make sure they get both their children back." He said quietly. He knew that perhaps it wasn't fair to Rowan, but she was not alone here, she never would be alone while she was here. And this was what he was, what he did.
