Two Winchesters and a Baby Angel

Cas giggled and grabbed at Dean's hair, tugging on it, and laughing a bit evilly. He was feeling devious, now, so the brothers needed to watch out for him.

"Ouch," the hunter winced, at once scooping up Cas into the air, "Someone's bein' a little devil, huh?"

Getting off the couch, Sam grinned and attacked their friend's sides with tickles, "Then I guess we deserve some revenge, huh?"

Cas squeals, and squirms, trying to get away from the tickles of the two brothers, but he knew he was no match for them.

Listening to their baby's cheery noises, both brothers stood up, and Dean carried Cas on his shoulders, hooking the angel's legs around his neck and upper torso. Holding their friend's thighs, Dean started to hurry to the kitchen, ducking down low so the little one wouldn't bump his head.

Cas giggled and squealed with delight, grabbing onto Dean's hair, gripping it tightly in his hands, as he was carried to the kitchen.

Wincing slightly at the fingers curled roughly around his hair, the hunter sat Cas in his chair, handing him a toy to play with, while he and Sam made breakfast.

"Dean, you know I rarely cook, right?" Sam wondered aloud skeptically.

"Well, you're still gonna help," Dean reprimanded.

Cas giggled and cooed as he played with the toy, banging it against the highchair tray, and chewing on it, coating it with drool.

After a few burnt waffles and several minor arguments between the brothers, breakfast was finally made. Warm steam swirled off the waffles, syrup drizzled across, and buttery toast looking heavenly.

Tearing some toast into strips, Dean started to feed their little one.

Both brothers started to coo at their adorable baby boy, before cleaning his messy face with a wet cloth and put him in his outfit for the day: a blue romper with a white shirt, along with a new diaper. Sam and Dean didn't really know what to do today, so they didn't bother with socks or anything else.

Cas gurgled and cooed when he was placed on the floor, where he started scooting along on his bottom, giggling happily.

Cas giggled and eveantually scooted himself across the room. He sat there, looking up at his Daddies with a big smile on his face.

"Awww," both Winchesters murmured in unison. It was wasn't until the gears started turning, that maybe today could be teaching day. Maybe to get Cas to crawl better and maybe say a few words. Hey, what could go wrong?

Cas looked up at his Daddies and tilted his head confusedly. What had he done that was so cute? He was just being a baby.

Both men sat down in front of their friend, and Sam was appointed for speech and Dean for crawling. Of course, this was probably a bad decision, to somewhat disrupt their little one's mental and motor skill development. Though otherwise they'd never know unless they tried.

"Hey, Cas. Do you think you can try and say something for me?" Sam asked.

Cas nodded and smiled, bouncing excitedly. He wondered what Sam wanted to hear, though. Furrowing his brows, Cas concentrated hard and slowly started to sound out a word. "B.....B--i...tch....Bitch!" Cas babbled, looking up at Sam innocently. He had heard Dean call Sam that word many times.

A moment of silence fell upon the three before Dean started to laugh heartily, "Good job, Cas. That's my boy."

Huffing, Sam narrowed his eyes at the older, "He learned that from you. I know it."

"So? At least he knew how to say something. That's what you asked of 'im."

"...Yeah, I guess," the younger surrendered, before turning back to their friend and smiling, "That was good, Cas. Now see if you can try and say something...not like that."

Cas giggled and patted his hands against the floor, as he thought of another word to say. "Guhhh....buhh...bah..." He babbled. His brain wasn't working right. Why wasn't he talking like he did a minute ago?

Wrinkling their brows at the sudden change in Cas' speech, neither knew what to exactly say or do. Both Winchesters suspected it might have been whatever the hell made the angel like this in the first place.

"S'okay, buddy. Just keep trying if you can," Sam said, smiling softly and trying to also see what could come next.

Cas just sat there, not making much noise at all. He just mindlessly looked around the room, drool dribbling out of the corner of his mouth, and onto the floor.

Turning to Dean, Sam shrugged. It seemed like "teaching day" was over before the older got his chance to lead. But, they could just continue it another day.

Wiping the drool from the angel's mouth and the floor, Sam scooped up their little one and bounced him, trying to keep him occupied.

Cas then let out a small gurgle, and concentrated on speaking, again. "C--Cas......Cas!" He babbled, saying his name proudly.

The two brothers looked at each other for a second, before both breaking into ear-splitting grins. Joining the younger, Dean cooed at their baby boy, "That was really good, Cas."

"Yeah, he's pretty smart, isn't he?" the hazel-eyed man added. Kissing their baby's tummy, and then his cheeks, both Winchesters' hearts grew larger with affection.

Cas cooed and gurgled, smiling happily, at all this attention. No one else had ever made him feel as loved as the Winchester's did. And he thanked them for that. (When is Dean gonna teach Cas to crawl?)
