Present Lily’s POV

Lily listened to the explanation with wide eyes, suddenly very glad that she had decided not to touch it. It was a lot to take in, and since Lily was still trying to process the other things that had happened to her, she was left there trying to grasp for words that wouldn’t form. “O-Oh...” was all that managed to come out. She was trying to break down what Zealot had said into chunks. There was the obvious Shiruma zombie part, which wasn’t too hard for her to grasp, but then there were the other things she said. “You...rule the void?” She tilted her head, “Or is it just a part of the void?” she didn’t even know that the void existed. Ene had used it in jokes from time to time, but Lily had never thought of it as more than an unreal concept. Despite that, Zealot was saying she ruled a part of it. She decided to take her questions once step at a time, as asking too many would probably only leave her more confused, trying to keep a smile on her face in her confusion.

Zealot saw how seemingly surprised she was and she just giggled. When she was asked, she just nodded her head. "Yes, part of it. But it's quite a big part considering it's the sea." Zealot said before she looked at the picture and took it, happily accepting it. "Thank you, for the gift." She said as the two sisters were watching them. Soo-Xue knew that Hyunjin would be trapped in the ice when her time comes, but she was trying to think of ways to prevent it. To be honest, she had no clue...

"oh yeah... that...." Marcus said a little sheepishly not really wanting to talk about the incident either "yes very nice to see you too" gal'gore said with a bow and a slight smirk Marcus frowning somewhat as he heard what had happened to rouge "wow that sounds rough" Marcus replied reaching up to try at give her a pat on the shoulder but thanks to being too short he ended up patter her on the chest a slightly embarrassed blush across his face "umm... yeah things have been going well for the both of us.. managed to buy a house recently a lot of paperwork and stuff...still getting used to this whole being a vampire thing, behind a host to gal'gore easy to manage... but well you know"

Rachelle smiled as Evan sat to her side, relaxing herself and feeling her confidence slowly returning to her from that. "Heh... I really hope so - it's been a rough start so far, but..." She seems deep in thought before breaking it off, shaking her head and managing a laugh. "...No worries. I'm sure we'll be fine; given our future versions exist, right?" She said adamantly, dismissing everything she just said in that very instant.

Inari Mesix (Location: Present Trinity Crescent, Library -> Infirmary)

“Maybe we should leave these books with some of our own future selves, so that there’s less of a chance of them being messed with. These books could very well be ordered to be destroyed after this situation, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were...” Chelsea suggested, “I’m getting ahead of myself, sorry,” she shook her head, now watching the floor as they made their way along.
Inari shook her head. "That's honestly a pretty good idea, but of course they'd need to find the books. However, I think you'll find you may have just made that easier." She began. "Those plants you used as bookmarks will probably fester into vines and plants over the books we have found and 'marked' as important, and if there is a future version of everyone, they'll surely recognise it was your doing." She explained, hoping it would at least cheer her up as the two would head to the infirmary, where the rest of the 'present team' was waiting. Or at least, the assembled ones. "Even if they could be destroyed, this whole incident itself should at least have some importance and be stored away in some form - I don't know, documentation?" Inari speculated, shrugging in uncertainty.

"There's a sea...in the void..." Lily stared at Zealot for a few more seconds, before finally just letting all her questions leave her head. They didn't come out of her mouth, they just disappeared from her head. "O-Oh! You're welcome!" when Zealot acknowledged her photo and took it, she perked up again. She noticed that the sisters were watching them, and she jumped to attention. "I-I made ones for you as well! O-Only if you want them!" she frantically flipped through her notebook again, pulling out the drawing she had made of the sisters and offering one to each.

Future Rouge's POV
Interactions: Huntertabbysandshark3 Huntertabbysandshark3
Rouge nodded, letting their mutual awkwardness about the 'turning into a vampire' subject as an excuse to no longer talk about it. She didn't say anything when Marcus pat her chest but did giggle when she saw his embarrassed reaction.
"You bought a house? That's wonderful!" she clapped her hands together, smiling again. "Do you need help with anything involving being a vampire? I know I haven't been alive as long as Gal'gore, but I do have more experience on being a vampire then both of you combined!" she was grinning now, both of her fangs fully visible. "If you want to figure it out yourself, I suppose that's fine as well," she added, not wanting to pressure him into getting her advice.

Chelsea's POV
Interactions: BoltBeam BoltBeam
"If they fester into vines, isn't that only more of a reason for the books to be hidden? If the flowers and vines spread, that might not be good for other students..." Chelsea's mouth tilted down slightly, knowing very well what the flowers she created could do. More than enough times she had been on the receiving end of a burn or other injury that they caused. "If someone took it under their care, then someone would be able to watch it, and make sure the book stays well preserved," she seemed to like the idea of protecting the books, she and Albright already did that to a few that produced plants that could be turned into various common medicines. "But either way, it probably will be documented, and...well...Endelyn could probably help with that," she crossed her arms, going back to thinking again, waiting to hear if Inari had anything else to say.

Both the sisters smiled at her. Soo-Xue happily taking one of the pictures. "Thank you, Lily!" She said with a slight bow with her head. Hyunjin thanked Lily in her own way, with a silent smile and a nod of her head as well. It still seems that her future self's 'death' is weighing down on her a lot. Soo-Xue looked at the picture before remembering something. She remembered one technique Hyunjin had taught her when she was young. She looked over to Hyunjin and smiled even more brightly. "Oh! Sis! You remember that thing you taught me back then? Y'know, seeing the world around me without having to actually see?" Hyunjin looked at her. "I've mastered it! Now nobody can surprise me!" Soo-Xue exclaimed excitedly as Hyunjin smiled even more. "That's good. It'll be important since you don't really have a weapon. Only your firsts and gauntlets." Hyunjin said, which was her own way of praising Soo-Xue, which she liked. Though what Soo-Xue said, it might've been confusing to Lily, or was it? Perhaps she caught on. Maybe she can even ask what they actually mean.

Lily smiled again, she liked whenever people accepted her gifts. She took that as a sign that they were at least okay with her presence, and that was enough for her. She listened to the two some more, now unable to keep her questions down. “Um...excuse me...how do you see the world without using your eyes?” she asked softly, feeling bad that she had butted into their conversations, but was unable to keep her question down. “I’msorryitjustkindofslippedoutandiwasntthinkingididntmeantointerrupt-“ She started rambling again, looking away out of embarrassment that had seemed to come out of nowhere.

Hyunjin looked at Lily and let out a scoff. She then got up and got behind Lily and covered her eyes, leaving Lily to experience the blindness around her. "That's okay, Lily. I know you have more questions but for now, focus on your surroundings." As weird as that sounds, she really meant it. "Imagine your surroundings through the sounds you hear. The chatter of the small group of girls in the next table. The distant kitchen. The employees at the entrance greeting new guests and chairs being shifted around. When you start to take into account all these new sounds, you can probably tell which direction they come from, yes?" Hyunjin asked, wondering if Lily was grasping the concept of what Soo-Xue was talking to her about.

Lily watched Hyunjin get up, and let out a small gasp when her eyes were covered. She mostly listened to Soo-Xue, but soon started to follow her instructions, trying to figure out which direction everything was coming from. “Y-Yes I can...at least a little bit...” she nodded, placing her hands on the table just so she knew that she was steady and not being pulled away. “Do you want me to map the locations of the sounds in my head?” she asked, kind of understanding what Soo-Xue was getting at, though not entirely.

(it was actually Hyunjin doing the talking lol)
"That's sort of the idea, yes." She said as she kept her hands over Lily's eyes. The sounds kept at a constant volume and nothing was changing. It'd make it easier for Lily to map where the sounds were in her head. Or, at least, she'd be able to tell where the sounds come from and what it might be. But there was more to it than that. "Have you ever heard of echolocation?"

Lily shifted her head, trying to nod. She could mostly tell where everything was, but when it came to numeric distances and precise locations she could only guess. “Echolocation? Yes, I have! That’s what bats use to see in the dark!” without seeing other people’s faces, she was rather confident. Not entirely, but there was less stammering. “Is that what this is like?”

"Yes. That's pretty much the idea. Though, for our clan, we can see things in... another light. from what I've been told, it's like being colorblind, and beyond any thin surface is a faded image of what lies beyond." She began explaining. She was trying her best since she's never seen it before. "I've never seen it before, so that's just what I was told. It was an ancient art in my clan when we do assassination work in ancient and feudal times." She then removed her hands since Lily could do the same thing but with her eyes closed. She only covered them to make sure she wasn't able to see. "Does that explain it better?"

Lily nodded, opening her eyes once Hyunjin's hands were off of them. "Y-Yes! Thank you..." she smiled, looking over at Soo-Xue. "Ms Soo-Xue...you said you had mastered it, right? D-Does that mean you can see what Hyunjin described?" she asked, awkwardly folding her hands together in her lap. She guessed she probably wouldn't be able to use the technique since she didn't have any relations to the sisters, but that didn't keep her from being curious about their abilities. She glanced over at Zealot, hoping her new friend didn't feel left out in any way, too nervous about that happening to get horribly self-conscious about the question she had just asked.

"That's true..." Inari said simply as Chelsea said her comments - all of them were valid points, and eventually Inari conceded with a shrug, unable to think of a rebuttal. She does have a point, but if that's the case... "If that's the case, how do we safely mark the books that are important for others from this period to find in the future 'without' practically littering the books...?" She thought aloud, verily unsure.

Chelsea stood there, trying to think of a safe alternative. “We give them to people who know how to take care of them...? Send messages with hints? We could establish a system where we put a note in the dorm of everyone who got pulled through, telling them to hold onto it until they witness their past selves coming to the future? A recorded message that Ene has to show them, telling them what books to look for, as well as who they might be with?” she was just saying ideas as they came to her head, not entirely sure what Inari meant by her question. She tried her best though, fully ready to change courses if that had not been what she meant.

Soo-Xue nodded. "They call it the Spirit World. It's another layer of reality, however our version of it is a bit modified to not see the spirits, but rather see only the obstacles and people that can be visible in reality with direct eye contact, and see their spirits instead of any lingering spirits not attached to a body of living tissue. I'd say more, but it would only confuse you. It also doesn't take much training to do it either. Once you've been to it a few times and know how to get there, it's almost like second nature. The term for this practice was Spiritual Vision. We can even adjust our Spiritual Vision to act like normal vision that you and I share. It's also recommended to do that if we want to use it for continuously. If we use it too much, we actually lose our sight in the real world." Soo-Xue explained. She hoped she didn't talk too much that Lily wasn't able to soak it all in. Zealot was also fine by not being included in such talks like this since it was irrelevant to her. It was nice to listen on to the capabilities of her adjutant though, it lets her know how capable she really is.

Lily listened to the explanation again, though she was a little slow when getting to fully understand it. "So...normally there would be spirits when you went to that reality along with everything else, but you modified it so you couldn't see the spirits?" she asked, pretty sure she was following what Soo-Xue said. She didn't like the whole concept of losing her vision...actually, she didn't really like the concept of anyone losing their vision. "T-That's actually really cool!" she perked up. If it was what she thought it was, then she found it very interesting. She then switched topics, unsure how to continue the spirit realm conversation. "Hey...Hyunjin...what should we do while they're still figuring out how to get us back? W-Wait - you probably want to stay with Soo-Xue! That was a selfish question..." she laughed awkwardly. She knew she couldn't help get them back to their time, and she wanted to explore the school and talk to her friends. She figured she could do that on her own, waving her hand as if trying to dismiss the question.

"Of course, Hyunjin will have to stay with Soo-Xue. But not for the reason because that they're siblings." Zealot interrupted. She looked pretty serious when she spoke to Lily. "Since that day, no one really found our Hyunjin's killer. Meaning that they're still out there or lingering about. If word got out that Hyunjin is walking about, her killer might think she's somehow broken out of the ice and would like to finish the job." Hyunjin looked at Zealot with a terrified expression. Even if her future self is considered dead, that doesn't save Hyunjin from an early death. Her hands began to shake, which she tried to force into fists as hard as she could but they continued to shake. She held them on her lap as she looked down. Soo-Xue looked at Lily with a saddened expression. "There's that and it's not very much the same. I've already moved on from my Hyunjin's death. Trying to catch up with my past self's Hyunjin in my time is quite selfish of me. Seeing her here... is actually opening up old wounds." She said as she looked down for a brief moment and then back up to Lily. "But, I do hope that if things change in your time and Hyunjin lives, I do hope that things will also change here. So her protection is my responsibility now." She concluded as Hyunjin continued to shake, but not as much as before. She was just trying to calm herself down now by trying to take controlled breaths.

She didn’t know how to comfort Hyunjin, she left the task to Soo-Xue, she was her sister after all. She stared at her lap, seeming ashamed of her suggestion. “I’m sure you’ll be able to protect her!” she said to Soo-Xue, trying to perk up and smile.

Soo-Xue offered a smile. "Yeah... I'm sure I can." Hyunjin soon looked up noticing that they were talking about protecting her. Though it made her feel reassured she'd be safe, it made her feel weak. It made her feel weak enough that she needs protecting. She didn't saying anything about it and only looked down, ashamed that she'd need protecting from her younger sister who was now older than her since she's in the future now. Zealot saw this and sighed. "Alright, let's stop talking about this. It's gonna ruin my appetite in a second." She said as she waved her hand dismissively. "Let's just focus on being safe so nothing goes wrong here and would affect the past. It could create a lot of paradoxes if that were to happen."

Lily looked away again, already making up her mind on what she was going to do once they were done eating. “Paradoxes...” she repeated, trying to understand what Zealot said when she talked about it. If the present’s Hyunjin were to die in the future that was also the present, what would happen? Her head spun while she tried to further think about this, eventually seeming to get frustrated, followed by her seemingly giving up. “But that limits us from doing so many things!” she pouted as she protested. “I really wanted to see the states of all my friends...not just a few of them...” she said softly, fidgeting with the notebook in her lap. She could just take Zealot’s word, but she also wanted to see their states with her own two eyes, for better or worse. She wanted to see if they were happy, but the whole paradox risk got in the way of that, which frustrated and upset her.

Zealot chuckled, shaking her head a little. "That's fine and all, I'm just saying don't die or a lot of things will change." She said before their food came and was set gently by the same maid who took their orders. "Alright, food time. Let's eat!" Soo-Xue said, rather loudly so Hyunjin could clearly hear. She also had already begun digging in while Hyunjin was taking small bites out of her food. Zealot started on hers as well, though she was eating at a moderate pace since there were also some other things on her mind.

“Right! Don’t die! I can do that much!” Lily nodded, trying her best to remain positive. She didn’t really want to die, regardless of paradoxes, so it was easy for her to agree with that. When the food came, she mostly just picked at it, though it slowly started to disappear. Since her meal was rather small, she was done pretty quickly, now waiting for the other girls to be done before she even tried to propose anything else. She still felt bad about Zealot saying she would pay, especially when Lily had enjoyed the food as much as she had. If her future self was alive, why not repay her the favor instead of her past self? She wasn’t entirely sure she understood. “Don’t you have tasks to fulfill and stuff? Is it really okay that you took the time off to go to a cafe?” she looked at Zealot, still not having entirely accepted that the other girl was seemingly fine with this.

Zealot shook her head. She finished her meal before she began to answer her. "I'm not busy all the time. My adjutant Soo-Xue handles some of my work really. Plus there hasn't been a lot of conflict recently so there isn't much to do. Only writing out missions and paying the rewards for those who complete those missions." She said as she sipped her tea which she was halfway done with. "Plus it's nice to relax once in awhile. And the way I see it, you two along with your friends from your present are our current guests. Hospitality seems like a must to me. Since your trip here is temporary, you might as well enjoy the future while you're at it. As long as it doesn't get you killed. Think of it as a cruise trip."

Despite Zealot assuring her that she wasn't busy, Lily still felt bad about it. "I...guess that makes sense..." she reluctantly nodded. She had never been on a cruise, nor done enough research to know what it was in its entirety. She had a general perception of what it was, and she used that when Zealot said that. "But then...what should we do? We're already at the cafe...what else has been added over the last two decades?" she asked, placing her empty dishes closer to the end of the table so the waitress could access them easier.
