Alok went on his way from his home, The Elven woods. Excited and nervous to start a new adventure and meet some new friends, Alok heads to the city of Wuuthrad to see if he could maybe find a guild willing to work with him. He had been searching for hours and hope felt out of his reach, would he ever manage to find a guild? He was just starting to give up when he went into a tavern where he saw a girl with blonde hair sitting there. Alok was unsure of how to approach this person but really wanted to be in a guild so he took a deep breath, walked up to her saying in a soft, soothing, but embarrassed voice "U-umm do you by any chance....have a guild or group of some sort I-I could join?" Alok awaited his answer looking quite uncomfortable and nervous.

Alderic was hunting for informations, it was like that he ended up in that particular tavern, he was wearing his combat armor, who didn't have all the little gold ornements, it made him slightly more unremarquable but a tall and muscular man entering a tavern in full plate armor with weapons strapped to his belt sure is something that attract the eye. Alderic, as usual, used his aura to smooth his presence. As he walked in direction of the bar, he noticed a disturbance in his aura, it came from a table where was a blonde girl and a white-headed wood elf. He decided to act as nothing had happen and sat the bar, he was watching the couple, ready to act or follow them.

After being released from the man's large estate, Ana decided she should clear her head and her worries for a few minutes, and went to the closest tavern. It was an off-hour, so the place wasn't exactly crowded, though Wuuthrad was a port-city so any hour is a good hour to drink for saylors. She sighed as she sat at a vacant table, putting her bag on the floor.

She weighed her options. The man she had spoken to, was named Edgar Llydwin, an extremely wealthy man, and famous for his large mining industry in the midlands of Ghyridyl. He had close relations with her father according to him, as she wasnt born when the two worked together. However Edgar was a different man back then. Today, he was twisted with greed and selfishness.

"Ana, youre basically like family to me." He said to her the moment she walked in, after three years of not seeing each other. "What are you trying to pull here?" Ana demanded, knowing that this man isn't one to be trusted. They talked for a good hour and it ended in a handshake. She was to retrieve the heart of the beast D'zreth for a hefty sum of 15,000,000 Jhet, Ghyridyl's currency. That was an offer nobody could refuse.

Ana snapped out of her daze when she was approached by what she assumed was an elf. "Excuse me, what?" She asked, frowning at him. She didnt mean to be hostile in any way towards him, but who in the world goes around and asks that question to a stranger? She assumed that maybe she looked like somebody else, maybe somebody he was looking for.

Alok didn't expect that reply from her and felt like he was just bothering a random stranger, he only wanted to make his dream come true, to be in a guild, to make friends. "I-I'm sorry, I was just you know...looking for a guild to join. You know a group of adventurers...I-I'm sorry for bothering you, i'll just go." Alok looked around and noticed some people were watching him. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to come to a tavern alone, he wasn't really too scared of the people but they all seemed on edge. Alok started to walk away from the blonde haired girl.

Ian was currently out of a job.  He'd finished his last one recently and was searching for a new one.  This was his least favorite part of being a sell-sword: finding a new job.  He did know some of the better places to look for one, such as this tavern in Wuuthrad.  He was sitting back in a corner wearing his armor (not too bulky) and watching the people interact.  If he listened to the right conversation he could find a good job.  A good tell for who was looking to hire a merc was if they looked well off.  Wealthy people tended not to visit these types of places unless they want someone else to get rid of a problem for them.  He didn't see anything that obvious, but he kept an eye out.

Let's put it this way: business wasn't going great. It was Saib's own fault. He had grown to bold, acted to rashly. He should have stayed in that little mountain town where he had found success, frolicking  in his small time glory. Instead he had an idea: The mountains where unexplored, unmapped, unknown to the world. If he could chart the region and sell the maps, he could gain a fortune. And it worked. Back in the mountain town the people loved his maps, they paid fair prices for his detailed charts and the promise of more. By all accounts, it should have worked in Wuuthrad, the sales would have been ten fold. But no one cared for small mountain towns and their maps here. They had their own problems and interests, and the pale blonde merchant mapper now sat among the small crowd who gathered within the tavern. He had just enough Jhet to return home. Maybe he would stay, maybe he would travel more. Either way he would need to tare down his little stand advertising his mountain maps in the morning. With these bitter thoughts to keep him company, he bought another drink...

Ana sized up the elf as he spoke. She frowned at him as he stood up, seeing him go so soon. She hadnt spoken to anyone outside of a hostile environment in a long time. "W-well hold on." She said while he turned away. From a depersonalized standpoint, this could be a good way to grab a cheap companion since he seemed desperate to join a group. Though Ana thought of him being in over his head and dying in agony from the beast. "I-im looking actually, y'know for adventurers." She said awkwardly. "There'll be a fair price in for you too."

(Sorry for the inactivity, christmas family stuff.)

Alok heard the girl speak again and turned back to sit down in a rush. "Really? I would love to join, I've always wanted to be an adventurer. well, whats your name? I'm Alok Biceran, your new archer." Alok bows his head to be polite and then gets back up looking excited. He is so grateful that he finally found a place to join, a new potential family.

Ana offered a smile to Alok, when he introduced himself. "My name's Ana Descalia." She said, not knowing if she should bow too or shake hands or remain seated. "Youre the first one to join my group actually. I need a bit of help in finding the others, since im not expecting them to just walk up like you did." She told him, keeping a hollow smile, the image of Alok dying still in her head. She shook the thought out for a minute, taking another sip of her mead. "So, while we're here, where do you come from?"

"That's a nice name" he smiles back "I'm sure there are lots of people here who would like to join, especially if its for pay" Alok notices something bad is on her mind, he looks in her eyes worrisome "I'm from the Elven woodland city of Welsera, and what's wrong? you seemed worried about me or something" Alok has always been used to peoples facial expressions so they were somewhat easy to read. He could tell by the way she looked at him that it was about him and the way she was lost out of thought and afraid showed him that aswell.

Alderic stood up and walked in direction of Alok and Ana, he pushed Alok away to place himself between the couple, looking in the direction of Ana. "What kind of buisness are you in exactly ? All that money you promise, I believe it's just a bait. You want to steal that man, kill him, use him for a ritual ? I won't let you have your way with him. Succubus." said Alderic in a intimidating voice. He then suddenly realized he was mistaken, his aura was not disturbed by the girl herself but from one of her belonging, a big book. After this realization, he instantly bowed down. "It seems I was mistaken. My holy sight was confused by that book you carry. My name is Alderic, the first son of the Deptelion. I will help you in your quest if you accept my presence. I shall bring the spirit of St-Cuthbert with me to bring your vengeance to your enemies. And as my first act of loyalty, I must warn you about that book. It is cursed and will only bring sadness upon you. I was the very witness of the despair that brought those books and the desire of power." He thought about his brother and sister. A cursed book bringing power, way too familiar.

Ian he seen enough.  He'd heard mention of pay and paid very close attention to th conversation between the elf and spell caster.  Soon enough another man walked up and offered his services (after a small blunder).  Things couldn't get too crowded before he popped in or he would be rejected.  His biggest concern was the paladin.  He claimed to have some holy sight or something, and Ian didn't know how that translated to himself.  As a Draconian he certainly had a rather distinct aura to those who could see those kind of things.  Regardless, he needed pay.  The possibility of conflict wasn't going to drive him away from a possible job.  He stood up and walked over to the table, sitting opposite the others.

"I couldn't help but overhear a job opportunity," he said.  "My name is Ian Carver and I have a special set of skills you may find useful for whatever job this is.  So will my presence be welcomed?"  He didn't extend a hand just yet as that's what he usually did upon striking a deal.  He was wearing his armor, which was much lighter than the paladin.  The tip of his Dragon Mark stuck out over the collar, but he didn't figure that would be a problem.  Not everyone knew what a Draconian was yet and even fewer could identify them.

(Now that the holidays are over I will be more is will fall off a bit at New Years, but only for a short period of time.  And I really have no preference as to how Aldric sees Ian.  Just remember that his should is part dragon.)

Ana felt overwhelmed with the two new people just walking up. She found it funny that she just told Alok that she didnt expect anybody to just walk up, and here they were. Forming a group really isnt that hard. She thought to herself, as the people spoke. "Please both of you, sit down." She paid more attention to Alderic at the moment. "What do you mean about my book?" She asked. What he said seemed like something a con artist would say, but how could he know about her book? Plus he looks more like a man of wealth.

"I will explain, the holy sight I mentioned allow me to detect the evil nature of people or things. Cursed or Unholy items often emanate a small aura of evilness. That book has one, now I'm no wizard, I can't tell you the exact use or curse put upon it, but I have seen a load of these things and they indeed bring power, but they will also bring something more malicious, wrath, paranoia, greed, lust and will finally control you. Unless you have a really good reason to hold on to it, I would advise you to destroy it." said Alderic in his usual calm voice.

"I-I see..." She said. It was alot to take in, with the whole 'your family heirloom is cursed' thing. She made a mental note to think about that issue later. "I'll keep that in mind, but we have business to discuss." She said, nodding to Alderic. She turned toward Ian. "And didnt you say you had a set of skills... can you elaborate?"

Alok just listened in on the conversation, he too had some special powers but he didn't like mentioning them but rather showing them off in a fight. Although he didn't look that strong or manly I guess you could say, he was really strong, intelligent, and showed resolve when battling. As Alok sat there quietly he just scanned the room. Maybe there were others lurking around, listening in. "Do you think it's the wisest idea to ask others of their powers in a tavern? People could be listening in" said Alok with a worried expression.

"It's no problem," Ian said.  "Should someone here be stupid enough to attack us I have no doubt that we can win.  Besides, once one of these fights begin it's usually a free for all unless, like us, we have at least a rough allience.  As for what I can do, thata's usually better demonstrated.  None the less, I have rather keen senses, have a very high physical prowess, and have pyromantic abilities."  He hoped that would be enough for now.  What he really wanted was to get this show on the road.  He believed every word he said, but making a show wasn't the best idea in the world.  At least it appeared as though the paladin couldn't see anything special about Ian, so that was good.

An obvious crowd of four was gathering, whispering. It didn't bother Saib much, but some of the other men at the bar began to mutter about it. Even the bar tender commented on the gathering. Saib downed his last shot and gathered his bags, two or three of his maps and scrolls toppling out of his unsealed bag as he shambled up the stairs of the tavern. When he reached his room, he collapsed onto his bed, forgetting to unrobe or even close the door. His thoughts, even dulled as they were by his drinks, still bothered him, keeping him awake.
