Lukas was seriously sketched out once he noticed that the person was a girl wielding a sword. He took a few steps back nervously, the urge to get Leo's attention growing. If he was going to be honest, he was pretty scared and not sure if he would even be able to react in time if this person decided to try and kill him. Last time, it had been pure fear for both Leo and his own lives that drove him to kill the monster- but this was different. This was clearly a human. His quiet voice broke the silence. "Are you going to try to kill me or w-what..?" Lukas asked, uncertain. He wondered how loud his voice actually was... but even if he wanted to he couldn't tell. He wondered if Leo could hear although he doubted it.

Leo recovered from his thoughts as he heard Lukas' voice. "Are you going to try and kill mr or w-what," didn't sound very promising. A sweat broke out at his brow, and worry ensued. He had left the room without checking, and now Lukas was in danger again. No doubt he would be noticed going in through the window, as the light in the room would be dimmed. Leo honestly had no idea what to do. He lay down on the ground and looked into the room, looking for enemies, expecting to see another creature. But then why is he talking to it like it could understand...Another human. Friend or foe is the real question, Leo thought. He would have to leave to the situation to Lukas, and barge in if it didn't go well.

Kosomov's slowly stirred awake. He tried to take in a deep breathe but his lungs just didn't seem to want to function properly. He resisted the urge to panic that would just use up more of his precious oxygen. Where was he? It was pitch black and he could hardly move. In fact.... He couldn't. He attempted t move his arm forwards. Nothing. One more time. His limb obeyed. He did this one by one, the process taking less than five seconds. Feeling the pane in front of him, he remembered. What year was it? Why hadn't the pods been opened yet? Kicking the glass once, heard a satisfying crack. One more kick an the glass shattered. He took in a deep breath. Air. Jumping out of his pod, he began to explore his surroundings. The building looked like it had been abandoned for years. What happened. "Hello!? I've just freed myself from my pod! Is anyone there!?"

Lukas jumped backwards holding his ears. Someone was shouting from within the same room as him. Lukas groaned as he hissed a shushing noise and turned to face yet another person who was fairly tall in comparison to himself. Once the ringing in his ears stopped for the most part he spoke in his small voice yet again. "Please don't shout... It hurts..." He didn't realize how eerie his soft voice sounded in the near pitch black of the room. He felt overwhelmed and started backing away from both the girl and from the man who'd just come crashing out of a pod and towards the window, still holding his hands to his ears. Hell he hadn't even realized he'd dropped his only weapon at the moment- the big shard of glass.

Kosomov's eyes began to adjust to the dark and he started to make out figures. Narrowing his eyes Lukas, he mouthed the word 'okay' before moving to explore the room he was currently in. He looked back to Lukas, quite confused as to why he was acting like this. "Where are we?" He said curtly, not bothering to lower his voice at all. He was confused and wanted answers. When he found the one in charge of the TMC he'd have to have a word with him...

Lukas winced at the voice, which sounded heavily Russian, and shook his head. "Don't know.... We've gotta be really far ahead 'cus there's monsters though." He frowned as he looked back and forth from the girl to the man. He lowered a hand from his ears and let it sweep the floor until his fingers grazed across a few more shards of glass, varying in size but none as big as the one he was holding earlier but they would grant at least a little comfort. Lukas's left hand tenderly picked up the largest of the available shards and he felt just the smallest wave of releif wash over him.

Well, if there was ever a time to join in, it would be now, Leo thought as he went to the window. He swung his legs in first, his upper body following. His eyes took a second to adjust from the light outside as his feet landed and his knees bent. He quickly stood back up to his full height, and surveyed the room. Three people met is eyes, and only one was recognizable. A girl? he thought when seeing the form of her. She was opposite of Lukas, and was obviously analyzing the situation. The look in her eyes was intimidating to Leo, and he quickly stood beside Lukas. The man standing next to him didn't exactly look friendly, but he seemed to have just gotten out of a capsule, and Leo was sure he would side with them. "Hey Lukas, made some new friends eh?" he whispered, making a protective stance.

Leo's voice surprised but reassured the boy. He felt much safer now and a helluva lot less overwhelmed. He responded with the same small voice as usual. "I honestly have no idea... I heard movement and then shouting and stuff." Lukas glanced over, seriously glad that Leo was back especially since he wasn't really sure about the two new people.

Kosomov let out an irritated sigh, rubbing his temples. This was just perfect. First, he nearly suffocates in his TMC, then the first person he meets is mental, and THEN- Kosomov was surprised to see a figure slide through the window, and make their way to the child in front of him. He wasn't going to warn the boy if it had been an intruder. He simply sat back, his eyes following the silhouette. When it turned out to be a second friendly of the boy, Kosomov looked down, picking up a shard of glass of his own, flaunting it. He stared menacingly at the group. It wasn't a bluff of any kind. If they attacked, he would kill them both.

Alexis raised an eyebrow at the boys words "No.." she said lowering her arms to her side "I don't kill survivors" she heard a shatter of glass and a shout. Another male began to speak with them and her eyes widened, in all her explorations she hadn't found two survivors in the same place, this place was getting weirder and weirder by the second. She then recalled that this building had created the TMCs and that they had.. well they failed. She felt a bit bad for them, they had been 'asleep' for the past 62 years and civilization was in ruins, not to mention that Dreads had forced a wall to be built around New York. "Not to be forward but... Are you all TMCs victims?" she wanted to get all of her facts straight before doing anything she might regret, like trusting them or not trusting them. Her walkie talkie started to crackle before Mona started to speak, "Hey-" she flipped it off before she could finish, she didn't want to talk to Mona while in this situation. She immediately reached for her sword when another boy entered the room, and glared at the man who had picked up glass, he clearly had violent intentions towards them and she didn't exactly want to be part of it, the time they spent in those capsules could have drove them crazy, or they were crazy before. The thought made her shutter. And if they were going to go against her, well she may have gadgets but there was three of them, and lord knows where Mona is.

Lukas eyed the glass nervously and looks back and forth from the glass to the man. He didn't look like he would have many problems trying to kill Leo and Lukas both and the look on his face was honestly scary. He heard the question and after some thought he nodded. He was guessing that 'TMC victim' meant those that signed up and entered the TMCs. "I think so."

Kosomov looked to the girl, a look of confusion on his face. " TMC victims? What do you mean TMC victims? Where are we? WHEN are we?" He turned his attention away from the two boys and approached the girl. He got as close as h possibly could, taking a good look at her. "You seem to know what's going on. I reccomend you fill me in on our.. Predicament."

Alexis looked at the man holding glass and thought for a second on how to explain, only to come with no positive way to explain "Your in Vex, but the time is... well you've been asleep for 62 years" she said finally "Your still in New York, but as you can see, it's all in ruins and has new creatures" she said gesturing toward the corpse. "And this building is has been abandoned" she said "And I said victims because you were trapped here for six decades, and you couldn't escape, it was quite a big mistake you see.. I'm a bit surprised that they would open now"

Lukas frowned. It was kinda scary to think that such a hell was so close to his time... he had assumed until now that they were far into the future and not just a few decades. "So what are those creatures? And do you have any idea why I have sensitive hearing all of a sudden? I don't get it..." He asked the girl since she seemed to be from this time and knew a lot more than anyone else that he'd seen so far.

Kosomov's eyes widened as he heard the girls words. Sixty-two years!? Ruins!? Creatures!? His eye twitched violently as he raised the glass shard. "Listen. I'm not in the mood for your little games. What is this? One of those stupid prank shows. Hahaha! You got me!" He made his way away from the girl and threw his hands into he air, scanning the room. "Where are the fucking camera's, eh!? Where are they!?"

Alexis looked at the boy and answered "The creatures are called dreads due to a research to enhance the human body called 'Project Future' which despite the name, ended human civilization about nine years ago, and also created the monsters Dreads, which are actually mutated humans, you are actually pretty lucky to be in a capsule, you get to survive! Not that it is the greatest survival, and your hearing is better because of the air, there are small pieces of the virus in the oxygen" she said and then looked toward the older male "This is no joke, joking about death and shattered civilization is something I would never dare joking about, there are no cameras and if there were no one would provide a crazy male with a weapon that could kill us, and if I were you I would put that down." she said motioning to the shard of glass in his hand, she wasn't liking this man, and his behavior and attitude toward her was hostile and she felt a bit hostile toward him herself.

Lukas wasn't really sure why it should affect his hearing but he got the gist of it. He himself lowered his shard of glass even though he knew the words weren't being directed at him. He just wanted to encourage the man to do the same wordlessly. Lukas glanced back at the Dread he'd been forced to kill earlier in order to protect an unconscious Leo. He looked over at his friend who seemed to be silently analyzing the situation and he seemed to be taking an approach that meant he was fine with the two new people as long as they didn't get hostile. Lukas looked back at the man and the girl again, seriously hoping that the man wasn't going to get hostile.

"Just perfect... I put all my faith into this new age technology and this happens. Unbelievable." Kosomov dropped his glass shard and made his way to the rooms exit. He obviously wasn't going stay in the room any longer, deciding he would be better off familiarizing himself with his surroundings. As he made his way to the elevators, he stopped, noticing a large male kneeling over a corpse. "The hell is he..." He began to approach the man before it began clear that he wasn't kneeling. He was eating. The grotesque creature turned towards Kosomov, letting out an ear splitting screech. Kosomov took this as a sign of aggression and ran through the corridor adjacent to him, dashing under a collapsed support beam. As the creature followed after him, attempting to scramble over the beam, Kosomov noticed a single plank plank just above the beam, holding up some rubble. Grabbing a large chunk of concrete and throwing it at the plank, it broke the wooden plank causing the rubble topple onto the Dread, crushing it. Nodding triumphantly, Kosomov continued down the corridor, searching for an exit.

Leo was surprised but not surprised by the story at the same time. He had always known humanity would screw up...but he didn't think it would be in his lifetime. He shook his head with a frown on his face as the apparent Russian made comments and strolled out of the room. Doesn't he see that he could scare Lukas? He needs to take his role as the older here and avoid panic, he thought. "But I mean, this world can't be that bad, right? New time, new us eh?" Leo stated with a false sense of confidence. A small grin reach his lips and he put on arm out to the woman, as a sign of greeting. "I'm Leo, and this is Lukas. Will you be our protection for now? We don't exactly know are ways around but you seem to, providing a great guide. Don't worry, you won't have to take care of us forever, just kinda show us the ways or this world. Agreed Lukas?"

Alexis watched the elder more aggressive man leave before she looked at Leo and took his offered arm and shook it as she told the two her name "My name is Alexis" she said, then letting go of his hand. She listened to him speak and nodded "I think I could do that, but it might take a while to adjust, considering there is no power and I'm not exactly sure what you're used to... And everything is rundown, the Dreads are just a small part of this"

Lukas nodded in agreement but clutched his ears as he heard a sreech not too far away then sounds of fighting. Either the Russian man or someone else they didn't know about had been unfortunate enough to stumble across a Dread. Lukas hoped that the Russian had won the fight and seeing as there was hardly any movement of the Dread left, it seemed that he had and was now back to wandering around. Lukas looked over at Alexis curiously. "So is there anyone else left, like some sort of group or something that we can find?" He stared at her in the darkness with his cyan eyes awaiting an answer- hoping there were still plenty of people left although he had a gut feeling it was the other way around.

Alexis looked over at Lukas and sighed "You're the first group of people I've found in a ruin, and I've been searching for years" she said looking down "I'm sorry, but we can't even leave New York" she took a deep breath "You see...The outside governments decided the best action was to block off the area of New York State before the virus spread. The wall was built within only a few days, as it was a world threatening issue. No one would get in, but more importantly, no one would come out. Unknown to the outsiders, the virus had already manifested in some victims, it was just not matured. After the walls were sealed, the virus spread rapidly, as all defenses were down, because of the thought that the virus was trapped. The virus mutated among the mass populations of the outsiders, and eventually...the outsiders were wiped out by the virus. The government had intended to separate the virus and save the populations, but just like Project Future, they failed and created a group of survivors here where the humans and Dreads have gained abilities, some Dreads are very easy to kill and others are more difficult" she paused for a moment so they could handle that new information "New York of course had no knowledge of what had happened till they shut off the power"

Lukas frowned as he heard exactly what had went down to the time he was now stuck in. He wondered if anyone back in his time had even the slightest clue what they were in for in the future but his thoughts quickly shifted as he heard a few familiar screeches in the distance. They were pretty far off since the sound didn't really hurt his ears for once and since no one seemed to react, he figured those particular Dreads were out of earshot for people with normal hearing. Lukas glanced between Leo and Alexis. "There's a couple Dreads that I think might be heading our way..." He looked down at his shard of glass. He seriously had to find a better weapon as soon as he could.
