Fantasy Tomorrow Never Comes (Zombie Apocalypse) [Always Accepting]

"Oh? What's up?"

Looking over to Necro, his arms were flailing about worriedly. Knitting his eyebrows together, Jeson turned to look towards the window, which Chess was looking out of (@KuroKami Ruler what does she see?) quietly, cleaning their gun with the sleeve of their clothing. Was something out there? The windows weren't boarded, so that's already a bit of a concern itself. If there was something coming, then surely this kid would be able to sense it the most. Cupping his mouth with his hands, he called up towards Chess in a hurry.

"Chess, love, what's out there?!"

Go was starting to wake up after his daze, groggily sitting up from the ground. Clutching his head as he felt a numbing ache, his lips were pursed, though he didn't feel thirsty. Awake, Xi ruffled the top of his friends head, glad to see that he was awake. Go's longsword was rather closeby, with Chess having grabbed it while they were fleeing. Before Xi could get up and walk over towards Necro, he saw the worried expression of him and Jeson calling up to their leader. Growing a bit anxious himself, he kept himself on guard for anything around him. Was the horde that they thought they fled from coming?

"This is a rather large building... it's probably not the safest location to hide out."

"Eugh.. my fuckin' head..."

Elizabeth rubbed her sisters back and held her hair out of the younger girls face as Lexi lost what little food she had eaten. "Come on, it's ok, just drink some water. We'll hopefully find them at the pharmacy," Elizabeth told the purple haired girl. Lexi wiped her mouth, and pulled the mask back up. "I hate this..." she muttered, following behind her sister as she lead the way. It was still about ten miles until the reached the pharmacy.

Timmy went to the school restroom. Looking in the mirror, he noticed his head injury had formed a blood clot. It was puffy and red; probably infected. The boy took out a plastic lighter and sterilized his knife. Tim slit open the wound unleashing pus and blood. Pumping out hand disinfectant from a wall mounted receptacle, he lathered the fluid on his forehead. Winching from the pain, he scanned his dirty face for anything out of sorts. Satisfied with himself, he smile and exited the bathroom, still wearing the poncho covered in zombie innards.

Carter looked a around some more until he found something that caught his eye. "GUYS!" "I FOUND A BOX OF SOME SORTS!" The group poked their heads up, then looked back down. "Fuck it, it shouldn't mean much" he slid down the railing and put his hand out to Necro and the purple-haired man. "The name's Carter by the way." He stared at the two men and shook their hands.

Jeson was talking, but Necro had already stopped listening. What the fuck... Up ahead out of the windows came a rumbling. Not so much a growl as more of a... a... a drum. A deep drumming sound that slowly grew louder. It still wasn't completely light, so he had somewhat of a problem seeing. Yet, he knew what was coming. He had grown fond of the purple-haired one in the short time he'd known him and grabbed his arm, and pulled him along as he walked from the building. A horde. A horde was coming. Not just a few tens, or even a few hundreds. Thousands. If they didn't leave now they'd all die.

He felt his arm being tugged. Well, not really tugged, but more of being dragged away. Forcing him up to his feet, he trailed after Necro who was quickly fleeing the building. Unlike him, however, Jeson couldn't determine what was causing his anxiety, and he ended up following after. Up near the window, Chess looked down as he felt Jeson's introduction being cut. Watching as Necro yanks him out of the building, they called down to Xi and Go, where Xi was helping Go stand up on his feet to leave.

"You're an important member, Xi, go on ahead. If we stray, make sure to hangretel. I got Go, just leave!"

Nodding his head, he carefully let go of Go, who was a little bit unsteady on his feet. He did have his energy, but it was just the fact he lost so much blood and the fact his body can only make so much. Got to play it realistically, you know? But instead of helping him get up and walk, Chess scooped Go up in a fire-man carry, which appeared very odd to the fact they were about similar heights. In terms of heights, Chess was the "shortest", though they shared the same height that Go did. And Go was pretty picky about his own height. Pushing out of the building after their purple-haired comrade, Xi was a little off ahead, keeping close track of Necro as they followed quickly.

"P-put me down..?!"

"If you want to die, sure. Just stay still and we'll catch up..."

"H-hey! Uh, Jeson's friend?! There should be a school close by if you need height to run to, since kids came to the library to study! If you head west of where you are now, you might hit the outskirts of the city, but it's far ahead!"

"What's making you so anxious... anyway? Is there a horde?"

Necro ignored the purple-haired kid as they ran. He didn't have time to answer questions. He picked up speed as he ran. A school? No. There would be an uncountable number of... undead children there. He had no problem killing these, for they obviously weren't humans anymore. It was their speed and agility. the fuckers were fast and agile. They could jump farther than he could run in three seconds! No way he was fucking with them. He took a sharp turn to the right and ran towards alleyway. There was a door there. With a keyhole. Necro had they key... It had been a while since he'd been to his parent's coffee shop. @Entarriance

Carter watched as everyone fled the Building. He pulled the box into his satchel and followed them. He turned and saw the horde close in. He tripped and rolled into a clearing. When he got up the others were gone, and the zombies were a lot closer. "Oh JEEZUS!" Carter sprinted after the group as zombies began to speed up. He should've stayed home. He caught up with the group, the horde still behind them. The green haired man had mentioned a school, so maybe that's where they were going? Who cared? anywhere was safer than this place right now, and they all knew that.

(A wild me appears, just suddenly existing!)

Elizabeth shook the pharmacy door, locked. She sighed and looked at Lexi who was bitting her lips nervously, her hands shaking slightly. "It's alright, we'll find a way in," The older one said with a soft voice and a sweet smile. Lexi returned the kindness with a nod, and a quick flash of a smile from under her mask. "I'll stay here and keep watch while you look for a way in," Lexi murmured, using her sister along. She hated withdrawal, and Elizabeth knew it. She hurried to the back to see if that door was unlocked, while Lexi stayed up front.

It had been a while since he'd been to his parent's coffee shop. @KuroKami Ruler ?) Necro had brought them to a coffee shop. "Oh great, because I need Starbucks when I'm about to die" Carter pulled out his machete and stabbed a straggler that split off from the horde. It looked familiar... Too familiar. He studied it for a minute, then fell to his knees and began to weep. "No, NO!" Carter couldn't comprehend what he had just done. Zombie or not, he had just stabbed his little brother. He put his machete down and scooted away from the corpse. He looked around at the group around him, then he held the body of the zombie close to him. "I should have been there to protect you!" he felt like shit, and just wanted his brother. He got up and asked Necro for a shovel. "I'd like to give him a proper burial, if you don't mind"

[/QUOTE]

It was already a challenge itself to follow after Necro. The kid himself was fast, and he took sharp turns into alleyways that while recognizable to Jeson at least, it was hard to keep up with the maze-layout of the city for very long. In the end, they did seem to be able to keep track of him, but it seems like their course took them out directly to the a coffee shop. Next to it, was a tall building, which may have either been a business building full of offices, or maybe even an apartment? Either way, unlike where Necro had gone, getting to higher ground would help gain aim of where they were going. The building was in tatters, windows broken, chips of the wall broken probably from the Infected that claws their way out the window to their own doom. However, there was a telephone pole that leaned against the building a fair bit up Part of the pole had been broken, though wire was still in tact, extending from the top of the pole and sharply tangled up in a tree, before off to the next telephone pole.

Sprinting off to the building, Jeson looked between Necro and his leader awfully confused. He seemed, reluctant about the coffee shop, at least, and Go was flailing about in his arms. Xi already took off to follow his friends, though briefly stopped when Chess stopped outside of the entrance. Turning to Jeson, who was about to follow after, they saluted to him using their pinky finger. Stopping in his tracks, Jeson nodded, and Xi, Go, and Chess took off to the large building. Whatever it was, it seemed like Jeson understood. He went back to the coffee shop where Necro was, nervously twiddling the rope he had amongst his fingers.

"... a coffee shop..? I came here on dates and stuff often... but.."

Meanwhile, under Go's insistence, Chess let him go harshly as he caught himself on the ground. Getting up, they luckily had his long-sword, which they were insistence on leaving behind (but they rather not have a weaponless tank on their team). There wasn't a lot of zombies, though the numerous traces of brown liquid amongst the walls and staircase meant that someone may have been here, and whatever it was, it killed at least the non-hidden ones. The group raced up towards the roof, occasionally slamming the heads (or screaming at Xi), and Chess kicked the door open with the heal of their foot.

It may have been a nice view, but the first thing Chess did was run over to the side of the building. They had enough height to see, well,
a lot, so if there was an incoming horde, Chess would've been able to see a lot. And who knows, maybe it's this apartment that would've been the death of them. (@KuroKami Ruler, what did they see).

@The Hidden Kracken

Necro nodded to himself as he saw the girl's face. She had seen the thousands of zombies coming their way. He brought his attention back to the door. As he finally got it unlocked, he heard a splatter and a thump to his right. Hid first thought was that one of them were killed. Then, he saw The curly-haired kid on his knees with a dead child. He could assume what happened... When asked for a shovel, he shook his head but nodded into the building. He had a few in there. It doubled as his family's home, since they didn't have much money. He felt sorry for the guy. He pushed opened the door and rushed in, gun ready. But, to his surprise, the place was empty. @Entarriance @The Hidden Kracken

Memories of Courage It was just another day in the desolate wastelands of the cities. Everything was in ruins, and it all had happened so fast. Nobody really knew what had happened, just that everything went to hell. The Memories of Courage as they called themselves were already packing up camp, getting ready to move out for supplies. "Hey Alph... why don't you ever take that stuff off?" Alph chuckled, "Jessica, taking this stuff off is like committing suicide, it's part of me in the literal sense." Prince laughed, "More like it's your symbol of the honor you lost after killing your team." "Shut up Princeton or I'll gut you like a fish too." Everyone laughed except Celty, who was quiet as usual.

Everyone had packed up and they were headed into the city, Alph had lead as he always did, Jackson and Princeton right behind him, with Celty covering their rear. This set up had become so normal it was ritualistic. As they wandered toward the city they spotted a few zombies here and there and picked them off with their various assortments of blades. They weren't too concerned about the zombies so much as hostile survivors. "You guys know the drill, we go in, we get food and water, and we bounce." Alph had said that same phrase over and over, to the point that the rest of the group could never forget. "We get it Alph, do what we have to and nothing less." With everything said, they wandered in.

When Carter poked his head in he saw that the place was... Let's just say kept to standards. He kept his head down and grabbed a shovel from where Necro had pointed out to him, and thanked the man for his kindness. As he dug he began to lightly sing a song that his father had taught them when they were young. "Living in a world so cold, wasting away. Living in a shell with no soul..." He couldn't do it. He just sat there and dug. It took him a good hour to dig six feet, and he went into the woods for a minute. He had hung out back here with his friend after they had been beaten up to heal their wounds. He sat there for a while, using pieces of old soda crates that they had stolen to make a "redneck" Coffin for Kyle. He returned and put the boy in the box. He looked down at the body, then put the pendant around Kyle's neck into his hand. He remembered the song that his mother had sung at his father's funeral. He began to write it down on his notepad/ then split the BFF heart that Kyle had in half. He hung one half around Kyle's neck, and the other around his own.

Tim left the school from the bus collision exit. He saw a zombie horde walking in front of him. Quickly fixing his poncho, he darted towards them and commenced his zombie waddle. Timmy and the horde lumbered aimlessly though the city streets.

Enterring the coffee shop behind them as the door was kicked open, it was empty. Jeson had expected otherwise, if not zombies would have been crawling over the place. Looking over to the sound of weeping, Jeson's expression appeared to be cold towards the younger man. He stabbed his Infected brother, what a tragedy that would be to, well, anyone. Tightening his grip around his rope, the place wasn't huge. In fact, it was rather small, as he remembered it vaguely. It never was a huge place of interest, it was just a nice little break-place. Never did he ever think that he would come back here.

Seeing the upcoming horde, Chess' eye's widened. It was massive, over thousands were coming where they came, it was pretty much an Infected sea. No way in hell they could take all of that on, the safest thing that they could do for now was flee. But somehow, they needed to get over the entire horde.

"The... the fuck is that?"

"W-what do you think!? I'm going to alert Jeson..."

"... don't bother. I'm sure the kid knows."

"Kid..? Oh."

Chess thought as they watched the horde coming. Running the other way is a poor choice, and there's no way that the zombies would have avoided the building that they were at. Though with the massive size of the building, a good half of the horde (which did seem to fluctuate in average zombie size. Some zombies were large and tank-like, but definitely not very fast. The others that were fast were scrawnier and thinner, some even not having a few limbs. But they were fast) may have been able to occupy it before reaching the roof where they were. The only course of action for them appeared to be to go
over the horde... but.. how?

Jeson watched as the boy left to go bury his brother. If he wasn't fast enough with it, it looks like the horde would've gotten to him first. As much as they were human, having much remorse at this time for, well, anything would've hurt you. Cautiously enterring the building, he had his rope around his fingers. You'd think that there wasn't any way to fight with a rope, but trust me, there are ways. And it sure as hell is cool. Though for large masses, Jeson had a weight in his bag for that he could've tied around if he needed some sort of leverage. But oblivious to the large horde coming their way, he kept himself near Necro.

Carter looked up to the oncoming horde and looked pretty fucking annoyed. "How dare you!?" He screamed, but was pulled into the Cafe. He looked around for who that could've been... but everyone was in the middle of the room, too far to have done that. He gathered his composure and tapped the woman on the shoulder (@Entarriance how did she respond?)

Much to Elizabeth's disappointment, the back door was locked. She punched it, regretted it, then fished her mini locksmith kit, and went back to the front. Lexi was tapping her foot, and bitting her thumb. Elizabeth quickly began to pick the lock, she was almost done too, of only it hadn't happened. Lexi began to hyperventilate, make distressed sounds, and slid down the wall. Elizabeth dropped what she was doing, and placed her hand on Lexi's shoulders. "Lizzy! I wanna go home! I-I can't breathe!" She cried. "Come on sis, pull it together. Your alright, ever thing is alright. We can go home yet, it's not time, she said, keeping eye contact and a calm voice.

Necro closed his eyes before going stepping towards the back room. He looked at Jeson with sad eyes and nodded his head. He took his handgun (Well, the girl's handgun) back out of the holster. He held his hand up to signal for the boy to stay here, then walked into the back room. A few loud shots rang out and he walked out with a few valuables and consumables. He then locked the door and threw the key into the room before closing the door. He made a few hand gestures, telling Jeson to gather supplies before they left.

Realizing that he had mistaken Jeson for a girl, he had apologized and returned to where Kyle had been buried. He marked the area on a map and planted a seed in the soil above his coffin. "You'll be missed, punk." he smirked at the ground where Kyle's body lay, then he looked up to the sky, a tear fell from his face. He turned to the doorway where Necro and the others were packing things. He tried not to get in anyone's way, and returned to the woods to grab something. It was a drawing that Kyle gave him a few weeks before, a beautiful anime style drawing of him and his girlfriend, Jess. He had an old radio on him. It was solar powered, and he tried to contact her. She responded. He began to cry as he told her the news, and he could tell that she was crying too. She was in the refugee camp, safe from the beasts. Carter got up and walked back to the group. He put his hand out to Jeson again. "I don't think we were properly introduced, I'm Carter" Carter looked over to Necro and put his hand out. "Thank you for saving our lives back there" (@KuroKami Ruler How does Necro respond?)

The 16 year old, looking at his feet, stepped on every crack in the sidewalk. It was a little game he made up that helped out the monotony of traveling with a zombie pack. He didn't care where the zombies lead him, he was just along for the ride. Tim suddenly raised his head and looked left. There was a candy store no more than a half a block away from him.

Timmy said to himself, "Please have sour gummy worms! I beg of you."

The boy ran to the building, not bothering to say goodbye to the undead herd. All that was in his mind were the sweets he was about to consume.

He flinched slightly at the gunshots. Wouldn't that be more of a danger? In gaining attention? Deciding not to question it, he remained in the room and waited for Necro to come out. His expression appeared distraught. If he worked here, he must have had some closer connection here, unless...

"... oh. Your family must have owned this place."

That was the only conclusion that Jeson could have came to. It's a doubtful situation the kid was working here ever since he was a kid, or had a single friend that he knew here. To be sad over it, he must have had some close link to the place itself, so that's the only thing Jeson could muster. Not wanting to extend on it, he nodded when he was told to begin collecting supplies, hopping up and over the small counter. Slinging his bag out in front of him, he began collecting what he thought would be useful. a good amount of cups, he tore a bag and filled it with a decent amount of coffee beans, a spray bottle and a rag used for wiping down tables (for Xi), a few of the spices and some of the canned snacks and goods that could have been taken along, such as marmalade or candies. There wasn't a whole lot you could have stolen from a coffee shop, but that was at least what he found useful.

Managing a bitter grin as Carter was about to make his way, he briefly shook his hand, clearing his throat. They were in a haste, and it seems like they were going to have to leave soon. From the looks of it, it appeared some sort of Ragnarok must have been coming their way.

"... I go by Jeson Mor, or just Jeson. Don't worry about earlier, I'd be a pretty hot girl if I say so myself."

He seemed, proud of that remark, as he was zipping up his pack, full from the new objects forced into it. Hopefully his group was doing alright, and his expression was nonchalant as he slung it back around his shoulder.

Up on the roof of the apartment, Chess was waiting for the horde to come and flood in, or at least see Jeson leave the cafe as some sort of cue to leave. Honestly, with the speed the horde was coming at, bracing yourself seemed like the best plan at the time.

"Isn't there a pharmacy over there?"

"Do you really wanna fuckin' go to a pharmacy when death took embodiment of a goddamn flood?!"

"Hey, I saved you!"

"You'd save a fucking fly!"

Their banter was to lift the darkening mood of their situation as they bickered with Chess inbetween, They were looking down harshly at the area around them for any sort of leverage, and the wire from the telephone pole down to the tangled up tree seemed like their best bet to getting over the horde. Roof jumping is also an option, though if the building were to collapse, than it'd be over for all of them.

This was bad. Normally, Lexi would've calmed down by now, but she was only getting worse. She was freaking out beyond what Elizabeth was used to and kept saying the same thing over and over, "It's not safe here, it's not safe here...," her words were hushed as she knew she was endangering them, but she couldn'tcalm herself down because each time she tried, it reminded her that she wasn't safe, that nobody was safe. Her breathing kept the same pace as she began to sweat and shake. Elizabeth tried ever thing she could think of, but couldn't leave her alone long enough to go in the pharmacy long enough to get what her sister needed. She was trapped between a rock and a hard place.

Necro looked at Carter's hand, then pushed it down. He didn't need this right now. He needed to get out of here. Maybe, when they escaped, he could take the purple-haired kid with him. He smiled to himself. Of course, he might have to kill the other ones, but that didn't matter. Not to him, anyway. He went outside and pointed to a platform raised above the street. It was, he thought he remembered, for fixing power lines. He saw a lot when the outbreak first began. If they were quick, they could get up there without leaving a smell to trace. But, they needed to get up there fast. He grabbed the purple-haired kid's hand and dragged them outside. If he could talk he would. But, he had to just hope the kid would go with it.
