Fantasy Tomorrow Never Comes (Zombie Apocalypse) [Always Accepting]
He opened his mouth, but didn't say anything. Couldn't say anything. He lifted his gun up to his head. He wasn't going with this man. He wouldn't let someone kill him. He would die on his time. His palms were sweating as he closed down on the trigger.
"Now why would you think I was going to kill you?" Carter asked, as if reading this man's thoughts. "I wouldn't kill anyone who I knew would harm me... You aren't going to harm me, are you?"

"Oi, Chess we have to go."

"There's a horde going to that gunshot, you have no idea what you're gonna get yourself into Chessley!"

"Oh she's so killing you for saying that."

"NOT THE TIME OR PLACE!"

As the group bantered, Chess was looking back towards where they heard multiple gunshots. That meant that someone was in there, but were they aiming it at someone and shooting? Or was it something else. From the sound of it, they could actually have been drawing a hoard, at the disordered rhythym of the shots. There was one, and now there's a couple. There was no way that they could have just been shooting off randomly. But instead of listening to the rest of his team, he followed where he heard the sound of a sudden thud.

"Godamnit... c'mon.."

"Ah, if I die, at least make it a noble death."

Go slammed the head of an approaching zombie hard, enough that the seams around it's neck tore off violently, causing the head to fly off and roll like a basketball. As a weapon, he did carry a katana that his family owned as a decoration in a dojo, though he kept it sheathed out of respect. The wooden sheathe was covered in a brownish liquid close to blood, though Go didn't appear phazed in the least. Gritting his teeth, he yelled back to them as he took a step back cautiously.

"If you guys wanna get movin', you should do it now, bastards!"

Cautiously following after Chess, they came across what appeared to be an adolescent and a young man. Chess kept their gun raised towards the both of them, in case the bleeding man was an infected. Zombies were approaching, and if they were really going for a double suicide in a place like this, it sure is working. Soon enough, the rest of the gang followed after.

"I-Is everyone alright?!"

@KuroKami Ruler @The Hidden Kracken (Aa I'm trying to keep up. Tell me if I got the scene wrong I'm sorry!! )
Carter looked up. "What? Oh. I think everything's fine, besides mr suicidal over here" Carter akwardly began to laugh and nudged the man to do the same.

Jesus. More people? He lifted his foot and kicked the man off of him. As he stood, he lifted his gun and shot blindly at the group standing across from him. When he ran out of bullets, he ran head-on into the nearest of them, crashing them both to the ground. Life was good, no?

Carter stared at the two men on the floor then looked up at the man who had ran them over. Anger rushed through his veins and he began to shout. "HEY JACKASS! GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW OR ILL GIVE YOU A REASON TO SHOOT" The men stared blankly at Carter, who had his fingers tapping away at the handle of his machete. "You heard me". The woman laughed at him. He cut her a look. He was truly scared, but he couldn't let these guys know that. "You are going to die if we don't get you to a doctor... so listen to me or I'll save you the trouble. If you don't want to live the life you were given, then why go on?" "shit" he thought to himself "He's gonna fucking kill me" Carter tried hard not to hide behind the man to his right... but he had to prove his dominance.

"...!"

Reacting instantly to seeing the young man's leg muscles appear to tighten, they knew for a fact this was going to be good for neither of them. Running forward, Chess tackled Xi to the ground, causing them both to crash to the ground. The shots flew over their head blindly, and farther behind, Jeson wasn't as aware as they were, unable to catch the scene from a distance. Barely being able to dodge it, it grazed his arm, causing a sharp stinging pain up the length of his arm as his clothing started to dye red. Swearing under his breath, he immediately gripped his arm as he ducked low. Unfortunately for Go, who had just arrived after making sure nearby zombies wouldn't attract each other, he felt something hot and painful head straight to his arm.

"GAH, WHAT IN H-"

Before he could say anything, someone crashed into him head on, definitely taking the wind out of him. After getting shot in the shoulder, he definitely did enjoy getting tackled by said perpetrator. Raising his head before he slammed onto the ground, it made a lighter thud to his head, allowing him to stay awake, but he was fairly disorientated. Groaning slightly while no the ground, Chess raised themself from the ground away from Xi, who appeared terribly frightened by the whole ordeal and nearly getting shot. Turning around quickly, Chess raised their own revolver, firing off and aiming for the mute man's own shoulder. An eye for an eye, as they say.

"P-please stop! I-I'm a doctor I can.."

"Xi he's not going to give up!"

"... he's out of ammo. Drop your weapons. Drop it."

Go was a little too busy gripping his own shoulder as blood dripped from it, though Chess managed to gain their own composure. Lowering their own gun, Chess kept a steady gaze on the one who shot blindly at them. If they couldn't take this foe straight on, at least calm the kid down before he decides to commit his own suicide? After all, the younger man made a point. Why go on if you're just going to waste your life away like that.

Things were happening so fast. His eyes went wide as the one of the group pointed a gun at him. Was this it? This is where he'd die? No. He'd die on his time! He jumped out of the way, the bullet graving his ear, taking part of it off. He made a strange puffing noise as he pulled the dagger from it's sheath. He pulled the fellow under him up and put the blade to his throat. Pushing it hard enough to draw blood, but not cause any real damage.

Elizabeth sighed when she heard arguing men from nearby. "Great, now we might have to deal boys, childish boys. If we pass where they are, just...keep walking, k sis?" She said looking over her shoulder where Lexi met her eyes and nodded. They continued walking, Lexi just now slinging the sniper over her shoulder, and readjusting her face mask. They passed the place where the boys were bickering, thinking they'd get away with out being noticed, but one of them stepped on a bottle, breaking it. "Crap...

Carter sat down. Tears fell from his cheeks. "He's going to die" he thought, and it was all his fault. He turned to the woman and the other two men who were now still. He got up and pulled his machete from its beltloop. The zombies were closing in and no one was paying attention. He slashed at them while everyone else just watched. He wanted to scream, but still he fought on. He grabbed one of the zombies, stuffed a grenade down its throat, and threw it at a group of the vile creatures. The explosion knocked him back into the wall. He slumped down and passed out. All he could dream about was his family... He wanted to go home.

"g..gh?!"

Go was already considerably dizzy from being shot and slamming on the ground, but he felt something cold being pressed up hard against his throat. And then something warm oozing out of him. Honestly, Go was already way out of ti react to anything, so he went along with it, his head in a ditz of what to do. But seeing one of their group on the edge of death, Jeson dropped his rope (which pretty much
was his weapon), seeing how Chess put down their gun. The only thing Xi had was a book, but all Xi was doing was keeping his distance far. He didn't have anything that he could unload, so Necro got to watch a few seconds of Xi looking through his pockets, as if trying to find something to actually unload. Really, all the kid had was a few bandages with him, some herbs and berries, so there wasn't anything he found he could unload. Instead, he just put the book that he carried on the ground, a pen marking the page he was on. Chess unloaded their gun, stuffing the cartridge into their pocket, and while their gaze remained dead fixed on Necro, plastered with pure indifference, it was obvious that Chess didn't have anything that they could fire off with at least. Chess remained at the distance that they were before, and they were reluctant to talk. A medical mask was around their mouth, which muffled the few words that Chess ever spoke. On the other hand, it was obvious that Jeson and Xi were waiting for whatever order Chess would've yelled out.

Never dropping their gaze, they only had so much time before whatever horde was coming over would've arrived, and they already had someone out on their team. Chess very steadily pulled off their mask, similar to a sign of "surrender" for them.

"... hey. No, don't tighten your grip. My gun's unloaded, so it wouldn't do jack shit to you if I even pulled it out. If I did, you have the upperhand, you see, and you could decapitate him right there."

".. e...eh..??"

"Shut up, don't talk."

Chess spoke in a very slow tone, as if trying to get their words across to the man.

"Look. A horde is coming this way. We've fired enough, and I don't think you really want to die now, do you? You're already injured, someone's crying. That kid and the doctor back there is crying-"

"N-no!"

"-and two of my team members are wounded. Don't you think this is enough? I could offer to help get you treated, but I don't think you'd take that offer up. If you let the guy go, we'll be on our way. Look, he's disorientated, he can't do shit to you. And it takes me time to reload, so if I try and shoot you, you have the upperhand and can take me right there."

"Yout kids alright?" Elizabeth called, ignoring Lexi vigorously shaking her head, just wanting to keep moving. The older woman brushed the teen off, watching the boys. They all looked younger than her, but most of them older than Lexi. She kept her pistol hidden, but making the fact she was armed known by tightly gripping a hunting knife.

Carter awoke and climbed up. "Listen to him... You may not want to live but the rest of us would like to stay alive at least one more day." He was no longer afraid. If that man were to kill him just for standing up to him, so be it. "Look, I don't want to fight you, because you'd kill me. But if you want to harm these guys you're gonna have to try your damnedest to get the job done"

Necro shook his head. He slowly walked over to the kid with the bandages and the rope. He picked the bandages up. He wrapped his hostage's neck with a rope. Tight enough for discomfort, but by no means choking him. He signaled to the gun the other person had in their hand. One little tug and the rope would be tight enough to strangle the guy. He felt no remorse. He had no plan, but would go with the flow.

Carter heard the girl calling and turned. "You probably shouldn't be here right now. We don't want any more harm done, especially to either of you." Carter turned back to the man who had the spear resting on the throat of the other.

"Hey." Carter had his machete in his hand now, he wasn't backing down. "Let him go..." The man didn't hear him, so Carter walked up behind him and turned him around. "Let him go... or I'll do it for you" The man laughed at Carter, but Carter got up in his face. "This is the last time I'll say it. LET HIM GO"

"Lizzy, can we please just leave?" Lexi pleaded voice still muffled from the mask, but keeping an eye on her surroundings. Elizabeth shook her head, "No, I've been trained in first aid, if I can help their wounded, I will," she said. The older woman again ignored the pleading blue eyes of her younger sister, and stood watching. They could both however tell that one was against the others, they weren't all allies.

Necro headbutted him and his temple, then threw his hostage into him, grabbing him back before they both fell. He was obviously in control at the moment, but he had no idea how long that'd last.

Yuki had just woken up from her nightmare, remembering nothing on what occurred in the dream. She let out a grunt as she began to stretch her arms and legs before standing up from her bed. The memories of what happened began to return; After the apocalypse struck, she was able to recover a bountiful of weapons and supplies and was able to take shelter in an abandoned apartment by blocking all entrances and exits. She may have been lucky at first, but as the weeks go by, the resources are starting to deplete. One day, Yuki must go and face the outside world. She's not afraid of fighting the dead, but she's afraid of seeing other people. Most of them may attack her on sight just to steal all her equipment.

"Damn... I'll need a bulletproof vest" Yuki exclaimed as she realizes that her stomach feels hungry. She walked over to a seemingly kitchen-area where there were plates scattered all over the faucet. Taking one plate and another ration, she began to feast on her daily breakfast or lunch. After awhile, she checks outside the window to see if there were anyone outside. Her sight was filled with nothing but zombies, those undead freaks that took over her normal life. Yuki turns to her bed once more, there was nothing she could do with staying up, all she could do right now is sleep... And sleep...

Slowly drifting to sleep, a peculiar sound wakes her up immediately. Small bumping or so. "Huh?". She quickly got out of bed, equipping a knife for safety. The sound was coming from downstairs, most likely. Opening the door outside her room, the sound is beginning to be much more forceful and louder. She ran down to the bottom floor where the entrance door would be blocked. But now, it seems like the wooden barriers she placed wasn't enough as it broke and collapsed into the floor, zombies began to flood into the abandoned apartment. Yuki reacted to this quickly- She ran back to her room and proceeded to lock the door's knob, to make sure she was blocking it right fully this time, she moved the bookshelf in front of the door and placed all of the things she could find inside to increase the weight of it. But that wouldn't stop the zombies from banging her door.

Carter swung at Necro with all his mite. He knocked the man back, then grabbed his machete. "Hand him over or I'll have them open fire" "We just want to help you..." he looked at the bag beside the man "... Necro"

"Who was that jerk with the scissors," Tim touched his forehead and felt a deep gash. The weapon had not penetrated his skull.

"Well, my luck's not out yet. I need to find another horde."

Timmy staggered up and left the building searching for zombies.

"Captain, we're being looted..."

"... relax, Jeson. You always hated Go, anyway."

"Huh?"

"He's dead anyway, just go with it."

Tossing the revolver in Necro's way, Chess violently tugged up their medical mask. Though they didn't make an effort to attack the man or anything. Frustrated. Jeson remained sitting on the ground with his head down in defeat, clutching his still bleeding shoulder. And Xi... what did you seriously think Xi even had?! You took a roll of bandages he had, congratulations. He was already terrified, and simply backed away when the man came forward. It wasn't the first time the 4 of them had been mugged before. After all, their fathers/mothers for some reason thought it was a good idea for their kids to run a group for some reason. Go was usually the toughest, but in his state, he was pretty much having a nice chat with death.

"Oi, curly haired kid, back off. I like my men alive."

"..ff..fahhh.. j-just... run or something..."

The discomfort and the whole ordeal of pain was already getting to him, his nausea increasing as he squirmed with great discomfort. He felt his body being thrown, and immediately gasped for a second before feeling the same discomfort again. Chess sighed as they crossed their arms, tapping their foot as the scene was unfolding.

"If you girls want to do anything, I'd suggest help me get my kid back. But honestly, in an apocalypse, hostage situations don't work this way. You kill them either way."

"H-hey..?"

It was obvious that Chess was getting awfully frustrated, though they did a good job with not expressing it. Only their voice could seem to show their emotions, which they didn't express very well. Audibly sighing, the kids of this generation were dead inside anyway. Might as well throw Go to the fishes if he isn't going to die of blood loss.

"If you die, I'll never be able to forgive myself for it" Carter looked into the man's eyes and saw the faintest hint of regret. "Look, I need someone like you, someone that can help me survive" Necro backed away, but Carter put his hand up to stop him.

Carter could sense the tension here. He put his Machete on the throat of the man beside him. "I'm getting tired of you" he could sense the others behind him tense up, a fight was about to break out, but with who?

He'd fallen for it. Necro smiled as he puled on the other end of the rope. Through their whole collision, he had wrapped the other end around the handle of the man's machete. He pulled it from his hands and let it rattle to the ground. Didn't they realize he no longer had any intention to kill these people? He was honestly just scared, and his body was on the verge of collapsing. He needed the bandages for his ear. The single man seemed to want to befriend him for some... odd reason. While the group of four evidently stopped caring about their teammate. Necro sighed and threw the kid on the ground. Killing him wouldn't do any good, though by the looks of it, blood loss was after him. He picked the gun up and put it in his holder. He then kicked the empty handgun over to the girl. They were quickly being surrounded by zombies. He nodded to the surrounding people and dashed off, signaling them to follow if they wanted to live.

"Wait up, I'm too tired" Carter fell to his knees and laid down in the grass. The zombies were no longer following them, and Carter hadn't eaten in a long time. "I know, you can get patched up at my place, you need some rest and I need some food, sound good?"
