"You just have to really will it to happen. Like stick your hand out and imagine it coming to you really hard." He holds his hand out and after a few seconds the axe flies to him. "See, like that." He throws it back.
She reaches out and does as he says. "Still nothing. Maybe only guys can do it or something." She suggested before picking up the axe by hand. She then took out the pickaxe. "Let's get to work."She said.

Keri took the girl's hand and shook it lightly, she didn't look like she knew about where she was either despite her looking really comfortable and open abiiut the situation "Nice to meet you too, my name's Kerison, Kerison Rybak but you can call me Keri if you'd like". She shuffled around in the grass trying to find a flat spot to stand on, her vision switched over to her partner's ears again but it was only a small glance since she didn't want to make her feel offended -What should I say? Or maybe a question would be better- she stood there thinking quietly to herself.

Max shrugs and gets off Emmy. "If only guys can do telekinesis, maybe you can do something." He decides to get to work.

Emmy starts mining a few yards away from Max, having to dig a little to get to rock. She then started hitting the rock with the pickaxe. "Maybe. We'll find out if I can do something soon enough." She then mined about ten blocks of rock before hitting some kid of rock with spots of black in it. She mined it and examined the results. "Hey Max!" She shouted. "I think I found something!"

Max runs over to Emmy and looks over her shoulder. "Hey, yeah, that's certainly something. Looks like coal, definitely something for fire."

Emmy used the pickaxe to get the other four pieces before turning to Max. "We should get going." She said, walking out of the cave she made. "Are you gonna need me to carry you again?" She asked.

Max thinks about it for a minute before standing and looking at the sky. How the hell is it so late already? "Nah, I'll have to use mind over matter. I get the feeling I don't want to be here after dark."

Rina looked puzzled too. "Really? I had to practice the basics so much! But maybe that was just my family's way...?" Her thoughtful expression turned to a cheery one a moment later. "Never mind that. We'll start with torches, okay?" She trotted towards a tree, her strides flowing and springy, almost like she skipped across the grass. "I don't know much about this area, but it looks like a normal forest to me. It's good we're here and not in a desert or the snow. We'll need this wood to get started with lots of things." Rina punched a spot a few feet up the tree's trunk as she spoke. The bark cracked, the crack grew, and all at once a cube-shaped log fell to the...nope, it floated, right on top of the stump. The rest of the tree remained in place despite the lack of any support, and she returned to Alex and Xander with the log in hand.

"Wood is the first thing you need for torches, so we can have light, and keep anything nasty from showing up indoors." As she spoke, she broke the log into planks with her hand, then did the same to a cube of wood to turn them into sticks. "Have you seen any coal around? It's a black stone that's about this big," she gestured with her hands. Then she started to worry - if they didn't know about tools, would they have reached stone and the coal hidden inside? Did they have time to find some and make a shelter too? Rina glanced at the sky and bit her lip.

Anjali smiled, and ran her hand over her hair, smoothing what she could of the now untameable mess. "Nice name." She said, to Keri. "I'm guessing you don't know where we are either..." She mused, looking around. She caught a bit of her newfound companions glance to her ears. "Are you not used to seeing... well... this?" She asked, gesturing to her ears, and pulling her tail forward. She let her tail drop back. She was curious about Keri, as she had met very few humans in her lifetime. Those she had found her weird, and as a result, chose to stay away. She hoped Keri would be different, as she did not want to be alone in this place and she had taken a bit of a friendly liking to the other girl already.

Emmy nodded. "agreed. Now let's go." She said, beginning to walk back. Once they got there, she looked at the table. "Should we get like a fire place or something?" She then placed some stone down in a number of shapes before making a square. She picked up results and looked at it. "Looks like a stove..." She said. She goes into the shack and puts it down in the back of the room and puts coal in it. Fire then illuminates it. "Look! Fire!" She exclaimed.

(Sorry, got distracted.)

Max walks up to the stove and throws his raw pork chop in there (I always had it, I just forgot to put it on the inventory screen) He then grabs the coal from Emmy and walks over to the Building Bench and looks at it before looking through his items. He had long since deduced that this world ran on video game logic, so he used his lifelong gaming experience to help him. If this were a video game, I have to think medieval or basic. So torches for light. I have coal for fire and sticks. So if I did this... Sure enough, on his first try he found the combination to make a torch. For some reason four came out of it, but he wasn't going to question it. He walks back in and places a torch in the middle of the room. If this worked on video game logic, his house would most likely not burn down should he put it on the wall, but he wasn't taking that chance. "Watch for open flames." He then took out his now cooked Porkchop from the furnace and sat down, satisfied with what he had accomplished.

"Your family..?" He said, still confused. He walked beside her, keeping up as she skipped. He noticed her break the wood and make sticks out of it like it was absolutely nothing! And desert? snow? There seemed to be more than one biome in this place. "Nasty? Good to know there are nasties here.." He said. Xander payed attention to the gesture and nodded, getting some out. "And we use them with the sticks?" He asked. He pulled out a stick and merged it with a piece of coal, acquiring 4 torches afterwards. "Whoa..." He said in amazement.

"You seem to know a lot about this place. More than we do...how long have you been here?" He asked curiously.

Keri's eyes widened as she saw the tail that Anjali had pulled out not really because she was frightened but because it looked unbelievably cute, though she wouldn't say that to someone else, the girl was part cat yes but she didn't want to come off on the wrong foot and be so forward about it, she heard her speak and nodded furiously at her question, it was indeed the first time she had seen someone with these features "I-im not really used to seeing people have animal like features, n-not that it's a bad thing! I promise it really isn't I just, uh, it's a bit new for me" Keri fidgeted in her position trying to find a compliment "it seems very unique"

Alex came up a little bit after this lesson started getting down had been hard and these jerks had just kept going leaving her behind. Really just because she was tough didn't mean they could just leave her she might get lost or something more she was annoyed she had to run after the two who were in her mind acting like lovebirds ditching her.

" Would you two just stop moving " She said panting as she finally caught them " Can we just rest for a second I don't have wings or someone to carry me " She said annoyed but more annoyed.

"Uh, yeah sure." Max begins to tear the pork, only to find to his dismay that it won't break. He tries everything before sighing. I think we really are stuck in a video game. He hands the pork over to Emmy. "Here, take it. I had two apples anyway."

He looked back. "Oh, sorry Alex." He apologized. He blushed at her next comment. "H-hey, it was necessary to get her down...i can hear the jealousy though..." He teases quietly. "Rina, let's stop. It would be better for us to just talk a moment here and get an explanation." He says to both of them.

Emmy blinks, looking at the pork, then at Max. "Really? Thanks!" She said before taking the meat and wolfing it down. She placed a hand on her stomach and gave a small yawn. "Thanks again. Next moving thing we see, I'll kill it and you can eat it!" She said grinning.

"I'm holding you to that, I'm warning you." He chuckles and lays down. As the sun begins to set on the horizon, and the walls blocking off any light, the only source that illuminated the room was the small torch sitting in the middle, the firelight dancing off both of their faces. Max scarfs down the apple he had saved and looks at Emmy, noticing how the firelight flickered across her face. Firelight had always interested him.

"How DID we get in this situation..." He says quietly to her, before smiling. "Hey, it may not be all that bad. It's a chance for adventure!"

Max hums and thinks for a moment. "Hard to say, it hasn't really been long enough to start missing anyone. Even so, there's no one to miss. I've been living alone for a long time. My parents died when I was you, and I don't go to school. I've raised myself on books and the Internet with well placed bets and money gaming tournaments. No one to miss with that life," he says as he continues to look at Emmy.

Emmy gave small nod. "Maybe that's why they sent us in particular. We've got nothing to leave behind." She said before looking back up at the ceiling of the shack. "It's really cold in here. Is that torch doing anything?" She asked, turning her head towards he torch.

"Is it cold?" He looks to the ceiling as well. "I can handle extreme cold temperatures with ease, so I don't feel it. But I think you're right, I feel no heat coming from the torch." He thinks for a moment before look back to her. "You said you had no one to go back to?"

Emmy nodded. "I've got a new parent every month." She said, her eyes gliding from the torch to Max's eyes, making solid eye contact. "I'm in a foster care system. None of the foster parents can handle me for very long, so I get dropped into someone else's lap. It's an ongoing cycle. I turn eighteen in two months though, so I can get out of there as soon as that happens. Well, that is if we ever get out of this place." She said. "As for friends from school, well, who wants to be friends with a girl who sits alone and reads at every possible moment." She was crying now, but not in a loud way. The crying could be heard in her voice, but did not make the words inaudible. Their was a wet streak going down each cheek. A tear dropped onto the dirt ground every few seconds, only to be soaked up by the soil.

When she heard the annoyance in Alex's voice, Rina stopped what she was doing and turned to look at her with a small gasp. "Oh! I wasn't thinking of that, I must have gotten excited and..." She hurried over to Alex with a concerned look on her face, and once she got close, she reached down and tried to clasp both of the girl's hands in her own. If she didn't want to be touched it would be easy to pull away first. "I'm sorry, Alex. I know we don't know much about each other, but I saw how you climbed down, and I can tell you're strong and brave! I'm happy you're here. I promise I'll be more thoughtful from now on, so please, don't be angry?" She looked at Alex with pleading eyes as she spoke. "Next time we'll all walk together." In her focus on trying to make things right between them, Rina didn't notice the sun's movement or the shift in the sky's color. "What do you want to ask about? I'll explain as much as I can."
