This is it, the apocalypse 1x1

Gabriel decided to just not question it, lest it confuse him more.. Besides, he already felt as if his head was going to explode. "Gabriel...and you too, I think," he said, with a painful smile, less because of the fact that he believed the man to be the evasive demon from a month ago, and more because of his own troubles. Which he'd wanted to talk to Aiden about - though he probably wouldn't listen - but It looked like that wasn't going to happen. The angel half wanted to pack up and take off, go anywhere else, and to avoid his...son...for as long as possible. it'd be easier, that would be for sure, but Gabriel was no coward. He just didn't know how he was going to fix this.

"Where're ya headed?"

"Matthias's house, we're going to get him a ship."

"Correction, he thinks we be getting me a ship."

The two's conflicting ideas were clashing, Aiden had full confidence in the plan, as he was going to use any means possible to help his friend. Matthias, on the other hand, was living by rules and laws and thus saw no possible way. It was easy to tell who was the demon and who was not despite the fact that Matthias wasn't completely human. This, though, was something Aiden had yet to figure out. It wouldn't much matter to him, of course, he was the shadow of his old friend- who certainly remembered him, and thus, he'd do most anything for him. Human or not. The hybrid was loyal when it came to it, really.

"Why does he need a ship?" Gabriel asked, obviously still confused. It seemed like no matter where he went he was always somewhat...out of the loop. That and the fact that he'd never seen, been on, or let alone sailed in a warship. The air and the land were his area's of comfort...he was slightly impressed that Matthias wanted it at all. He didn't know if he could ever stomach being in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but water around him, with no escape. it was probably how Aiden would have felt about flying, and was the reason he'd taken the horses instead.

"Oh let me tell you-"

Aiden had stand on his tip-toes to get his hand around the other's mouth "Don't get him started. He's going to look for the serpent that took his eye, end of story." He took his hand away from Matthias's mouth, who looked sorely disappointed, but quickly got over it. Aiden did not need him going on another speech, though it was fun to listen to, they'd be here for a while. Aiden had the brain not to ask questions, knowing Matthias could go on and on, he didn't know if he could say the same about Gabriel and thus, he wasn't going to take the chance.

"So what you're telling me is, you let an archangel walk through these gates without anyone knowing? Gabriel Lightwood?! And you didn't think this was important enough to tell me?" Alec bristled, fuming as he paced. After seeing the marks of the struggle that had gone on inside Tera's room and eventually broken the window, her blood everywhere, he'd been told this. This, complete nonsense. How could he have let his father walk in and escape so easily? And now...

"He must have taken her. The bastard must have, there's no other reason, no other explanation. Why am I not surprised", Alec muttered, running a hand through his hair and tugging on it once in frustration. His runes. So they hadn't burned for no reason. Something was going on. His father returning, the demonic presence he felt earlier...it had to all be connected.

"Bring me my horse. I'm going after them...I'm going after Tera."

----

Gabriel raised an eyebrow, but said no more, instead choosing to follow in silence. He couldn't help but notice the closeness between the two, the way they interacted. It was strange to see Aiden willingly touch anyone or allow anyone to touch him, so Gabriel was naturally a bit...jealous. He scoffed out loud at the thought, realizing he really shouldn't be, that it wasn't his place to be, but the feeling was there all the same, the slight irk that wouldn't go away. He looked away, focusing on the ground as he went along.

Matthias glanced over his shoulder hearing the other, but Aiden paid it no mind "You still haven't told me where the damn house is." Aiden said, Matthias made a half chuckle, rolling his eyes "We're almost there mate." He said, pointing a head to a small, two story looking kind of house. Old timey houses were weird looking Aiden had to admit, but it was about time. He wondered what the inside looked like, whether Matthias had thrown his love for the ocean everywhere or whether he'd chosen the more normal route.

Gabriel followed along, staying silent until they actually reached the house. He opened his mouth to ask something to Matthias along the lines of his ship, unable to keep the curiosity away for any longer, until he tried and nothing would come out. This was partly due to the vibrating arrow that had lodged itself into his body with the arrowhead protruding from his neck, dripping with blue. He reached up, as if to pull it out, turning around at the last second. He dropped to hi knees, his vision clouding and turning black, but not before his eyes widened in shock at the figure with the bow on his horse running right for him. The man looked just like him.

----

Alec had another arrow drawn before the first one had even hit it's mark - which he knew it would. His horse reared up once before charging across the ground to stop a few feet away from the other two men. "You there...what do you know about this man? Are you accomplices? Answer me!" he roared, his blue eyes wild as he looked from his father's body back to the others, raising his bow and drawing his arm back. His runes were shining again, and he knew one of them was a demon. Or at least part of one.

Matthias most definitely had to hold Aiden back, who was more than ready to snap that bow right in half "Why should we answer you? Go ahead, shoot it." He hissed, more literally than metaphorically, watching Alec draw back another arrow aimed at them whilst Matthias focused on keeping him from losing his temper. He didn't need Aiden having an uproar in the back of the town, or shifting. Oh yes, Matthias knew all about that. Anything with demon traits had the ability to shift, and there was no way Aiden was an exception. The hybrid was burning his arms off practically, attempting to escape his grip. He didn't get it. The guy had just shot Gabriel, why was he not allowed to touch him. Aiden slumped in the other's arms but was still glaring daggers at Alec, the minute Matthias unhanded him, and oh would he, he would have his throat so help him.

"Oh. So you're the one then...hmm. Interesting," Alec mused thoughtfully to himself, looking from his symbols to the furious being, who was in the process of burning the taller one's arms off. Good thing too, because Alec would have shot him straight through the eye if he'd tried to come further. Nephillim didn't make idle threats. "Because," he stated, with the arrow now pointed at the half - demon as he address the man's question. "He knows where my sister is. And if you two were helping him...I swear upon the heaves I'll put this explosive arrow through your eye," he growled, meaning what he;d said. He;d doctored the arrow himself, messing with different poisons, finding one that would nicely burn through a demon's skin - like an icy fire.

"I haven't a damn clue what you're talking about." Aiden snapped, there was no way Gabriel took any sister of this guy's. There was no way he laid a hand on a girl. He didn't look the type. While was more focused on Alec himself, Matthias was focused on the arrow pointed at them, anticipating the time he'd let it lose. He'd throw Aiden out of the way. What he wasn't thinking of was the consequences pissing Aiden off might bring. The way those symbols glowed, he should know Aiden was a demon. Had he no experience with the beings? It was like attacking one wolf of the pack, if you pissed off one, you pissed off them all. Matthias hadn't a doubt Aiden was capable of calling demons, even if he wasn't trying. He was different, unlike the holy ones demons liked different. The one eye'd one had no doubt they'd flock to aid him. Even if Aiden wasn't aware of what he could do, the damage that could be done, Matthias had gone over it a million times in his head, all just now, but he wouldn't let his friend get hit with that arrow.

Alec glared, he knew he couldn't shoot them unless they made a move. Especially not the demon. He wasn't stupid, he knew what would happen if he missed, and only injured him, risking even more of the creatures. But they did know Gabriel. And that alone was enough to make him very suspicious. He dropped his arm, relaxing the drawstring and getting down, though moving his right hand to hover above his saxe knife just in case. He moved toward's Gabriel's motionless body as he did so, emotionless as he looked upon the face of his father. It was strange. He;d never seen the man before and now...

"Stay where you are if you don't want part in this. But he'd coming back with me," Alec ordered, with the expected assertive royal English mannerism as he looked over his shoulder at the two, before reaching out and shaking Gabriel to make sure he was out cold.

"Bastard." Aiden's voice was tipped with venom, Matthias didn't look pleased. This man, Gabriel was his name? He was a friend of Aiden's, or close to it at least, and letting him go like this...Aiden wouldn't be pleased. He go after him, now, or when they were long gone. He didn't need Aiden attacking the King's hand, but he also didn't need to have Aiden attacking him. His heat was going down, but that was because he was more focused now, he'd perked up when Alec reached for Gabriel. That, that was going to set him off. Matthias looked indecisive, he could let Aiden go, or he could keep him here. That was the big choice "Aiden." He whispered, but his voice was harsh and strict, the hybrid stopped struggling, but he couldn't tell if that meant he was giving up or if he was playing him. Hopefully the first one.

Alec turned his head, narrowing his eyes at the man and was about to reply back with a biting retort, demon or no demon when he felt a hand on his arm, clutching it tightly, followed by a strangled gasp. Alec looked down to see Gabriel, who had suddenly regained consciousness, staring up at him in disbelif. "Gideon....?" the man managed to say, and Alec was unable to move for a few seconds. And then he did. His eye twitched once in frustration, before he reached down, wrapped his hand around the arrow shaft, and yanked it out of the man's neck, quietly enjoying the strangled cry he received. He wiped the arrow off on his boot calmly, the distaste etched across his face. "Hello, father. Surprised to see me?"

Matthias back up, feeling Aiden tense again, he looked around to make sure the hybrid hadn't summoned anything yet. He was pleased, and slightly surprised, to see that he hadn't. Maybe he had self-control after all. Matthias slowly, ever so slowly, released his grip. Aiden dropped, he had after all been held above the ground, but landed on his feet. He didn't move from where he'd been place, he just stared with narrowed eyes. Matthias's hands were ready to grab him if he bolted, but he seemed too distracted to try. Matthias looked down and blinked, well, now he was surprised. Aiden had sprouted a tail, it was...It had scales, much like a...Dragon? It looked to be at least five feet long, it curled around his feet when it hit the ground. Much like a cat's, it flicked in agitation.

"Gideon, I - "

Alec's hand shot out again, this time with his saxe knife that he held under Gabriel's neck.

"Don't call me that. You lost the right to call me by my name when you abandoned me. Left me with them," he snarled, his hand slightly trembling as he held it in it's place. Gabriel's eyes swung from Alec to Matthias to Aiden - and consequently Aiden's tail. Alec followed his gaze and shook his head before looking back at the man. "More reason not to trust you. Or were you too idiotic to realize that you were hanging out with a half demon? I thought archangels were supposed to be smarter than that. Turns out you're all just traitors. Now where is Tera?" He demanded, pressing the blade closer, growing angry at Gabriel's lack of response. Gabriel just blinked, trying to take it in, barely hearing the question.

"What? Tera? I saw her yesterday. She's supposed to be at the castle. With you."

Matthias jerked Aiden back at the mention of half demon, more so at the word 'traitor'. He dind't even belong here. He didn't want to be here, this wasn't- The hybrid's shoulders shook in frustration, Matthias frowned and pushed his friend behind him, watching the two with crossed arms. He looked like a protective parent, for a second. Aiden was busy glaring at the ground, he was beyond done, he wanted to find somewhere to curl up and hide until this feeling went away. He didn't belong here, he couldn't be a traitor. It was here or death. He didn't ask to be a half-demon, but saying it like that...Damn him, whoever he was, the King's hand? Being a half breed didn't make him any less stronger than the regular demons. Screw him if he thought so.

"WHERE IS SHE."

"I don't know where Tera is, now would you just let me - "

"No! Not after all of this. You do not get to tell me -"

The teen was cut off when the fist slammed into his jaw, an effective lights out, and releasing Alec's grasp from Gabriel's throat. His body slumped forward and the angel caught him, looking down at him guiltily as he did so. It was necessary. Alec was going to slit his throat - not that he blamed the guy - but he needed a moment to think. Especially if Tera had been taken. In fact, there were now a whole arsenal of things he had to consider...

He got up slowly, holding Alec's body, facing his two former companions. Facing Aiden. He stared, not even sure what to say about Alec, the words the youth had uttered to reveal his past, or the fact that he'd brought a demon hybrid to Limbo.

Aiden tensed, more so than he'd already been, everything about his face said 'screw you'. It'd be a lie to say he was mad at Gabriel, he wasn't, but he'd take his anger out on anyone that he could find. That said, the hybrid retreated tot he house, no doubt to find a place to hide. He wasn't good at dealing with things like this, and if he could slip out of them, he would "Aiden." Matthias wanted to call out to him, tell him running away wasn't a good idea, but he was already gone- losing himself in the new house. No doubt he'd find the darkest, smallest space and shove himself into it. The darkness was like a cover for him, a blanket that held him and kept him from other's eyes. It was natural, and Matthias already knew that. The one eye'd man sighed, rubbing his face, quite done with all of it. He looked back up at Gabriel, who was still holding Alec. Bloody aristocrats.

"I...should I go...?" Gabriel asked Matthias, after shamefully watching Aiden go. He was...having mixed feelings to say the least. And that was just him. But he couldn't leave, and he didn't know what he;d say if he stayed. Regardless, he had an unconscious Nephillim teenager who was probably going to try and kill everyone when he woke - restraints would be in order, even if Gabriel was the restraints. And then there was Aiden, who had a valid reason to kill them both.

"You? You do as you please." Matthias raised his hands, not in defeat, but as if to say he wasn't going to stop him. He didn't care what the angel did, what he cared about was his friend.

Aiden had blocked himself in the attic, shoved a box over the hatch, made sure no one could get in to be specific. Well, they could get in if they really wanted but he knew Matthias would have enough nerve to leave him be. It was dark, windowless, and slightly...Damp? It had a musky feeling to it. He didn't really get a good look at the house, he'd been in a bit of a rush. He felt around for the farthest corner, and when he found it, seated himself, tail wrapped around his waist. He sat there for a second, then chuckled bitterly, what a child he was being, huh? Oh well, what did it matter. It didn't. He did as he pleased. He wasn't in the mood to deal with living beings, he just wanted to stay here like this for a while. Closing his eyes, he leaned his head back and breathed in the dusty, damp air. He just wanted to sink into the darkness.

Gabriel nodded and went inside , carrying his son with him. He lay him on the nearest table and used the same tranquilizing energy he'd used on the hybrid one time to keep him still. It wouldn't last as long, but it's still be effective. Left to his own thoughts for about a half hour, he finally stood and decided to look for Aiden. Gabriel guessed he would have headed for the darkest area of the house...his being a demon and all. As he began the climb into the attic, then fiddled with the hatch, as something was over it, he realized he couldn't decide how he felt about it. How he felt about Aiden. it'd been there the entire time, but this little idbit, this had brought it to a head.

He finally for the door open, and sighed when he realized he wasn't going to be able to see a thing, but rather than use his powers to allow that, he kept it dark, letting the door close shut when he'd pulled himself up. He gazed through the darkness, staying put since he couldn't see. "Aiden...?"

Matthias had followed Gabriel back into his house, it was his after all, and watched him from the time he set the teen down to the time he left to go find Aiden. To say the least he was pleased, he couldn't knowing Aiden, but this one could. He didn't have that same bond they did, and thus, the rules didn't apply to him.

Aiden rolled over, or rather turned, when he heard someone messing with the hatch. It was only when he heard it open that his eyes blinked open. It couldn't be Matthias. He knew better. Alec...That disgusting thing was knocked out. That left one. He sunk where he sat at the thought, more so at the voice, hoping that if he stayed still enough and keep quiet the other would leave. He missed his hoodie, missed the way he could pull it up over his head and close it around his face. He used tail instead, curled it tighter around his waist, messed with it's end, simply waiting for the other to get bored.

"You know...I know you're in here. Don't demon's thrive on being in the dark?" he asked, sitting with his legs stretched out in front of him, He's been there for a good ten minutes, knowing Aiden was pissed, and probably wanted him to leave. Unluckily for him, the angel was persistent. And guilty. Demon or not...Aiden was now considered a friend. and he felt horrible for making his friend feel this way. Hell, he didn't even know how exactly to apologize for any of this, so he just sat in the dark, unable to convey his emotions in the blank silence, but hoping Aiden would answer him at some point if just to acknowledge he'd listen.

"I didn't mean to drag you in to this."

At this point Aiden had rolled all the way over, anyway to avoid looking at the other. He, unlike Gabriel, could see through the dark. This was something he didn't exactly want. The last comment made him laugh, well, no, that was a lie. It wasn't a laugh. It was a huff of breath, the one that someone made when they weren't pleased. Bitter amusement you could call it. Sadly, in the silence, it sounded. He hadn't thought of that, or he would've held it back. Unfortunately it was too late for that. At least he didn't have to look at him. There was no sorry, it didn't fix anything. It didn't matter if he didn't mean for something to happen, or to drag him into this, he did- and now there were he, and he was there, guilt pouring out of his words like a foutain. Like it would make a difference...All things he wanted to say...All things he didn't mean. He could say it all but there would never be any sincerity behind it, no anger, all smoke and no fire as the demon's used to say. He was pissed, that was true, but he wasn't pissed at the angel, thus he couldn't put any emotion behind any snarky remark he wanted to say. It was the reason he kept silent.

Gabriel had heard a shift, and then the reaction to his comment. He had to admit, it was a bit pitiful, but he wasn't good with words and he was beyond stressed. In fact, the compilation of crap that had happened, the new realm, and the sleepless night had killed his rationality.

"Aiden, look. I swear I had no idea about any of this ok? And What he said...what Gideon said...it wasn't directed towards you. he wants my head on a platter, for what he's been told as a good reason. And even besides that, I deserve it. But you shouldn't have to deal with it and..." he took a deep breath. It did go against everything he;d ever known, but then, he'd ignored what he'd come to call 'morals' before, dismissing them in accordance with his own logic. "I don't care what you are, ok? I like you. And I don't want you to hate me."
