Realistic or Modern The Zenith Project

"Is that what is was? That's kind of cool, don't know how I managed to miss that." He looked back over to the other guys and now there were girls here too. Fletcher wanted to stay and talk but keeping his roommate comfortable was a bigger priority to him. Besides the guys were in the room if he remember correctly. "Sure, if you want we can leave after that. No problem."

Alice smiled, not really minding being dragged along. "So, this whole time you were looking for people then? I guess that makes things much funner doesn't it?" She asked, laughing. When the cafeteria suddenly came into view she noticed that tree were a lot of people. Maybe they would have organized introductions or something. Or not. Alice was really only interested in seeing if any of them had an ability that could help her...with her issue. She frowned, before shaking off that sad feeling. "Let's go introduce ourselves too!"

Keith frowned, watching Fletcher look to the table then back again. He closed his eyes as more people came, making him more irritated. "You want to hang out right? You shouldn't let me be the deciding factor about what you want to do Fletcher. You should go talk to them...I'll be fine as long as I don't have to talk n' stuff." He really didn't want to ruin Fletcher's time here, so he would hold back flipping some tables for his first new friend here. Maybe him and Samuel were friends? Did he have to ask? He didn't want to...

"We should introduce ourselves." Fletcher stated, getting a good idea. "We can do it together. I'll be there for ya every step of the way bud." He smiled. He really wanted to help Keith be ok with these people, after all they would all be stuck together in this place for who knows how long. He looked over just as some more girls walked in. 'Seems like nearly everyone is here now.' He thought himself. "Come on." he placed a reassuring hand on Keith's shoulder, hoping he was being to over bearing.

Kara waved her on. "You go do the introduction thing and I'm going to eat, I just thought you might want to see what other people in this rat maze can do, I'm fine with you as my friend," she grabbed a tray and started piling the food on, "I'll catch up," she was eating the food on her tray as she was putting more food on her tray, and once she hoarded enough she went and picked a spot that wasn't so congested to eat. Lunch time wasn't necessarily as easy as getting your own food and eating peacefully back where she was, it was a battleground where the the strong preyed on the weak, and the weak went without food. Although this group seemed happy-go-lucky, she wasn't about to take any chances...she started stuffing her face while watching the others

Keith swallowed before nodding. "Alright fine...but it doesn't mean I trust everyone yet. You seem too...nn to be bad though. I'll...I'll let you do this." Hi voice sounded uncertain and Keith was already tense. however he decided that if he was going to make friends e was going to take risks....actually no, that's just war his brother told him to do. Even though he doubted Michael had any friends, he was pretty sure he only had his stupid girlfriend. "Alright Fletcher...I'm relying on you then...I guess."

....

Alice smiled at how exciting Kara was, deciding that she wasn't too bad, though she didn't seem that group social. She approached the table and smiled, quickly looking for people tat looked promising. Hmm, she wasn't really sure. What type of power could be used to find someone anyway? She sat down, somewhat close and tried to start. "Hey, I hope you don't mind but I'm joining you guys. What's up? I'm Alice. I can mimic voices and stuff." Yes, fast intro. If they mimicked her, she could get all the info she needed.

"Come on looks like more of the girls got here." He turned starting to lead the way back to the tables. "Let's see what they're up to, and no worries I'll take the lead." He continued forward and sat a table next to other again. A girl had just gotten there, and she seemed fairly excited. "Hey I'm Fletcher." He said waving to her.

Alice smiled brightly, getting a bite one the first try. "i'm Alice! Nice to meet you Fletcher!" She smiled the best she could and looked him over as well as the guy sort of hiding behind him. "And who's your friend?" She asked, getting a reaction from the other boy and he looked around and froze. "Keith." He responded shortly, before putting a fry in his mouth to possibly avoid further conversation. "Okay...." Alice started before smiling slightly. "So what bring you two here? What's your abilities?"

"My ability is nothing special." He said, "Just an edetic memory. I remember everything I hear, I see, and learn." He explained in a non challant manner. "Keith on the other hand," He said turning a bit to point him. "He has extreme endurance. So kind of like a super athlete." He hoped he hadn't bothered Keith with making him seem more interested that himself. He hoped Keith would realize he was trying to take the lead so he wouldn't have to speak up too much.

"That's pretty cool, maybe we should hang out sometime. " Eidetic memory meant that he remembered lot. Maybe he saw her brother. However she wasn't sure what he looked like now, now was she? She shook her head before smiling politely at the next part. "Endurance is cool to." The boy just nodded awkwardly and popped more food into his mouth. Which Alice wasn't sure how she felt about. "So Fletcher right? Have you maybe seen a boy with brown hair and blue eyes like mine? British accent...maybe?" Would he keep that up?

Keith felt kind of awkward but was relieved when he had possibly been overlooked. He sat down near the other girl that was eating, thinking that maybe she wouldn't start a conversation due to how she hadn't really talk to anyone else. Which was convenient, since he didn't want to say a word but just let Fletcher sort of talk.

Ebony got her food and scanned the crowd at the other end of the cafeteria. Nervousness. Protection. The girl talking sure had an emotion full past. Ebony was surprised at how many people had seriously debilitating social anxiety. So she decided not to stress any of them anymore then they a ppl ready were she took a seat at a table a little bit away and ate her hamburger

Max: He couldn't take it any more. He stood up and walked to the back of the room next to the windows. When he was out of hearing range of most people he said "I'm just in the back of the room with some windows. Too many people for my tasts. If anyone asks about my power, just tell them." He hoped Sam heard and understood him.

Melody: So many unknown people in the room left Melody clinging to ebony like a child. She quickly took a seat next to Ebony and also took a bite of her burger. Gently she looked up at her friend staring in wonder. She's so pretty and calm. I want to be strong too. She thought to herself, her gaze fixated on the pale girl beside her.

Samuel: Samuel turned, biting his lower lip. Do I go back with him, or would he prefer me to stay here. He contemplated for a moment. He noticed that everyone here seemed so wound up and uncomfortable. Gently he nodded at Max. "If you need anything.... Don't hesitate...." He spoke hoping Max could hear or at least read his lips. Didn't realize they were sticking a group of socially awkward people in the same building. At least the girls seem to be doing well. He sat there for a few more moment and decided he would at least finish eating before returning the two of them to their room and took a bite of his now cold burger.

Kara continued to eat as she watched how lively everyone seemed to be, and slowly her heightened anxiety began to lower. They seem to be friendly...for now anyway. She recalled how on day 1 at the detention center everyone acted as if everything was cool, but then as the days pile on their true colors eventually came to the surface. She liked the kind and excited nature of her roommate, but she wasn't necessarily ready to deal with anyone else yet, and now this happy scene was beginning to bother her.

She gather up her tray, collected some more food, and made a graceful exit back to her room. Within those confines she felt both safe and afraid, but at least within those quarters she felt at home. She laid the tray of food next to her bed, and taking a burger from it, she began to eat while staring up at the ceiling. I'm not going to get my hopes up about this place, it is only day 1 after all. She looked over at Alice's bed, and reaching out toward it, lifted her pillow, which she had left over there, and flung it back to her before putting it under her head and relaxing.

ebony sensed admiration in melody as she looked up at ebony. she laughed gently. "you know im really not that great." she said through a bite of beef, "i might seem like i got everything under my thumb but im a mess under the water." she swallowed and looked over at the group of nervous boys... so worried about something going wrong. she wasn't like that, she was more relaxed but she just let the bad shit happen, which she didn't think was a good thing.

Keith was starting to finally relax, seeing that not many people were actually paying him much mind. It made him pretty happy actually. He was glad he could just sit here and maybe look like he belonged. Not like it was true and he still had some things wrong with him anyways. He smiled slightly before frowning and closing his eyes. Was this how it was done? He wasn't sure. That girl....Alice was still questioning Fletcher about some random boy that looked like her, two girls were talking, and he didn't want to scare the youngest one off. He actually kind of like her stuff animal. However saying something like that might make her worried. As for the other boys, he wasn't sure what to say to Samuel. Maybe he had messed up pretty badly there. This made him worry a bit more. Why was socializing so complicated?!

Conor: The others seemed pretty comfortable, and he liked that. He didn't want the first several days to be so awkward that no one really talked. However, it was now his turn to say something or he might lose it. "So, what does everyone do? I can stick to any surface. I'm Conor, by the way." He was mainly talking to the girls, but didn't want to seem like he was excluding anyone.

Melody: "Well That's why you have me Eby!!" She chimed excitedly placing her hands on Ebony's Lap. "I'm great under water. So....so when i can swim well... you don't have to worry about that cause i can protect you!" She grinned with a slight bounce.

Samuel: He tapped the table to find out where everyone was sitting and how many people were in the room. Clearing his throat he spoke quietly. "Is Keith still in here?" He asked gently and slowly. Unsure of what he would say to Keith but remembered speaking with him for a moment. Also, he was very concerned for his mental well being. I know he's..... shy.... but maybe I can help him calm down.

Fletcher sat and thought about it for a moment, which he didn't usually do but since she was asking him about a person he decided to scan his memory as far back as he could. "Um, you may need to be a little more specific. I've seen a lot of people." He said. He had thought of at least 100 hundred people he had scene matching the generic description. This was because he remembered everyone's face even if he had only glanced at them. He turned to take another look at Keith really quick. He seemed ok for now. Maybe still a little panicked but he wasn't sure.

Ivy walked into the cafeteria and grabbed a lunch tray. She then waited in line to get her lunch. Once she got a hamburger she looked around the cafeteria for a place to sit.

Sasha had arrived late to the DRP. Her screening process taking longer than expected. She had been told that all of the other students were already here and making themselves comfortable. She had been told where her room was and was heading in that direction, grateful to get off of the bus because driver couldn't seem to think about anything but his cat Sir Fluffybottom. It was rather annoying and very strange. Sasha was happy to be in a place where she wouldn't have to pretend not hear things like that, and continue to hide her gift. She finally got to her room realizing there wasn't anyone here. However there was stuff already set up and she just assumed her roommate was out doing something. Sasha quickly set up her own things when she suddenly 'heard' something. "I'm not going to get my hopes up about this place, it is only day 1 after all." She heard the thought loud and clear meaning whoever it belonged to was nearby. She finished up unpacking and then went to take a look. The unit had two rooms to it so it must be another roommate she assumed. She walked over to the other door across the living area and knocked. "Hello" she projected to the nearby person.

Lyle:
After a time of just sitting in my room i decided i was going to go see that girl. The halls were pretty easy to navigate and i eventually found where the girls rooms were, not that different from the boys rooms I looked to see who was where...thats when i remembered i didnt know her name yet. Looks like i would have to do this the old fashioned way, I went from open door to open door and eventually I found her. I stepped into the room and Introduced myself "Hi there my names Lyle and I was wondering if you wanted to accompany me in trying to find something fun to do in this place"
[so, this girl is supposed to be Lu, right?]

Kara heard a knock and someone's voice. She sat up, placing her burger on the tray beside her bed. "Hey, it's open," She wasn't to sure as to why she responded, she had come here to be away from the others after all. I'm in my space, so I'll be fine. She used her foot to slide the tray under her bed. As the door opened and the girl entered she suddenly realized that the voice she heard almost seemed a lot closer than from where the girl entered. That was weird...it was like she was standing right next to me. Kara smiled at the girl as she entered, "I didn't see you down in the cafeteria with the rest of the horde, I take it you just arrived. Welcome to Camp Freak." She was obviously being sarcastic but she also kinda felt that way. Hording all of us into one place so no one else can see, nothing different from a concentration camp if you ask me. Her face didn't display these thoughts as she kept her smile on for the new girl before her

Sasha entered the room seeing a girl about her age. At first she stood their watching her lips, slightly confused but then the thoughts hit her. She laughed. She couldn't help it. It was always amusing to her when people didn't know she could 'hear' what they were actually saying. "I don't think the DPR is filled with Nazi's" She projected. A smile still on her face. She was hoping this girl wouldn't freak out, that was what she wanted least.

Kara's eyes widened as her smile dropped a bit and she stared at the girl. Did she just...no way! But she had to of...maybe I'm just tired. Let's see...Why was six afraid of seven?. Kara admittedly felt dumb because she was essentially having a conversation with herself in her head, but she was almost positive now that she heard a voice, that wasn't hers, in her head, and that meant that it had to be this girl, right?

Sasha giggled even more, "Because 7 ate 9" She projected the punchline. "Don't worry your not crazy." She smiled, her lips never moving as she focused on projecting her thoughts to this girl. "It's my ability. I"m deaf but I can 'hear' and project thoughts." She felt a little bad, but messing with people was just a little too fun. "I"m sorry that was mean. My name's Sasha, nice to meet you."
