Realistic or Modern The Zenith Project

Samuel: He smiles "Of course." Then turns to where Conor's voice is coming from. "Well that sounds like just your thing. I don't think anyone will beat you at that." Samuel laughed and thought He's kinda like Spiderman. Thats cool. He didn't know if that would be too weird to say so he kept it to himself. As soon as he stepped into the gym all of the echo's hit him at once. Sound waves hitting him from all different directions. Samuel became dizzy fast and stumbled around for a bit before finding a wall to hold himself. "Damn it." This was new.

Fletcher picked up a hamburger, some fries and last but not least an apple. He turned to Keith "Maybe the people here can help you out with that. After all we don't really know what they plan on doing to 'train' us." He used to word train as more of term, cause in all honestly it seemed like a strange concept. What would they be training kids to do? He let his mind wander off with that for a second. "I wonder what they have planned once have been trained. That Griffin guy didn't really elaborate on that."

Max: "Are you ok?" He said instantly, almost forgetting Conor was standing right there. He hurried over and grabbed Sam's shoulders to help steady him. He then led Sam over to a chair and sat him down.

Keith didn't think about that and felt suddenly embarressed and out of the loop. "I wasn't really paying attention till the end." He stated, staring at his cantaloupe in shame. ""Oh but, don't schools usually...well, train kids to be adults or something? That's what S-Clyde said." He would have to stop refrencing him if he wanted to make friends. He swallowed softly. "Well um, they offer a good scholarship to a college so I just accepted, I didn't really think too much about it actually."

Samuel: He laughed nevously and shook his head. "I'm sorry.... I'm fine I've never been in a gym before. Better safe than sorry you know?" He tilted his head up towards Max and smiled sweetly. "I have a hold of it now. It just caught me off guard that's all." He slowly came to his feet putting his hand on Max's shoulder. "I'm sorry..." He cocked hes head to one side and twisted his lips. "I'm okay.."

"I guess that could be it." He said taking his tray of food over to a nearby table. "Yeah, maybe they are just training us to be adults, and blend in with the rest of society." If that was the case this would be a far duller trip than he had expected but he was still enjoying himself. He had made a friend, the first real friend he's had in ages. So he didn't see a point in getting too worried about the trip possibly being mundane. After he sat down he picked up his apple, "Did you know the saying 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away' isn't as old as most people think? It's first recorded use was actually in the 1860's where it's said to be an old saying Pembrokeshire in Wales." He realized that his statement was rather random, and felt embarrassed for a moment. "But as we all know it takes a little more than an apple to keep doctors away." He tried to play it off as a joke smiling and then taking a bite of his apple.

Max: "Glad to hear it. I'm here if you need any support."

Conor: "You two are already pretty good friends. I hardly know what my room mate looks like. Hey, what all do you think is going to happen tomorrow? Did anyone really explain what we are going to do here?"

Samuel: He smiled again at Max then slowly turned to Conor. "Well not really, To my understanding we will be taught and I assume that it will bu much like school. Also I guess we'll get better with our powers." He spoke quietly to keep the echo's to a minimum. "Your roommate ditch out? Well maybe he knew someone prior to coming here?" Samuel suggested with a small shrug.

Keith nodded sitting down across from him before frowning. His face going blank as he explained the whole apple thing in front of him. Making him feel a bit insecure with his own knowledge. "Um, I don't....you know. I wasn't really listeninbg to what you were saying, sorry Fletcher..." He carefull lifting his fork to his mouth with spagetti, hoping none of the strands would fall. After chewing a bit he swallowed, looking back to his roomie. "So um, I'm not really...I might not get your jokes. Since I'm not too good at picking up okn those things. H-however, I still gret most things...if you...simplify things."

Conor: "I don't know, maybe. Has eight her of you seen a basket ball?"

-----

Max: He pointed over to the corner with a slight grin on his face. Conor walked over and grabbed it. He then proceeded to attempt to make several shots, but missed them all terribly. Conor promised he was usually better than this. The next time he shot the ball it stopped in mid air and vanished.

-----

Conor: "What?! Was that you Max?" His grin spread all the way across his face, but didn't make a sound.

Samuel: "Actually I don't think I've ever seen a basket ball." Samuel chimed in with a large grin on his face. He heard Conor shout out which startled him and he took a step back. "What happened?"

"Yeah I'm sorry." He said, he was doing again and didn't mean to make him feel bad. "I'll try to stick to we both know." He smiled reassuringly. Looking around the cafeteria was pretty big, surprisingly enough they hadn't see any body else yet. "I wonder where the others are." He thought out loud.

Max: "I made him think he was using a basketball, but there was never one around." Max whispered. "He freaked out a little. You know, I'm hungry. You want to grab something to eat?"

Samuel: Well, I know that kind of thing won't quite work on me. "See your gift can be fun too. Now if you could make ME see a basket ball I'd be super impressed." Samuel laughed elbowing Max again sticking his tongue out teasingly. "Yeah, I am as well, Lets go grab a bite." As he walked towards the exit he tapped to floor to find Conor. "Will you be joining us as well?" he smiled in Conor's direction. Gently motioning to Max he added "I promise it will be real food." And Grinned.

Keith shook his head before downing his orange juice. "Its alright. I..its okay." He wasn't going to call himself stupid. He carefully cleaned off his plate before almost spitting out his food. "Oh...you want to find other people." He grumbled. Not necessarily wanting to meet them since he was still self-conscious. "I...guess we could look....."

He didn't want to

Conor : "Ok, yah. Just don't do that very often. I wonder what they have to eat?"

After several turns they found themselves back at the cafeteria. There were two boys sitting at a table already. Max stopped for a moment before continuing. I grabbed some fries and a burger. Max filled a plate with spagetie.

Samuel: The sent of food filled the air as he stepped into the cafeteria. He Casually fallowed the two to the counter. No one spoke as they stood there. Samuel assumed they were getting food and not just staring. Nervous and embarrassed Samuel squeaked "Um...... so..... What's for lunch?" A failed attempt to ask casually. I hate being so useless.... Unable to tell where everything is he didn't want to accidentally put his hand into something slimy or messy. He folded his arms against his chest once more holding himself stiff and awkward.

Max: Realizing Sam couldn't tell where everything was, he went back and told him what all there was and that he would get it for him. "There are also two more people here." He whispered.

Keith closed his eyes. Why did people come in just when he agreed to leave? He started thinking that he might as well eat more food then. If Fletcher decided to talk to them. Keith assumed he wanted to...Keith was okay with one friend. His expression shifted to a frown and he started looking grumpy. Maybe...they wouldn't come over.

Conor: Max was helping Sam, so I decided to head on over to the two other boys. Might as well meet them now. "Hi, I'm Conor. Who are you?"

Keith huffed quietly, but decided he'd try. He could hear his friend scoulding him in his head. "Keith....Edwards..." he mumbled gruffly, playing with his fork and looking at his plate. Trying to pin a grape that was rolling in his spagetti sauce like a demon. He got it, and popped it into his mouth. Making a face at how weird it tasted.

"I'm Fletcher." He said looking up and the other boy, He noticed Keith was uncomfortable. 'Wow shier than I thought.' He decided to try and take the attention off of his new friend. "Uh, so what's up? This place is pretty interesting so far huh?"

Samuel: He smiled At Max's generosity and concern. Turning and leaning in with a whisper "I know there are people here" he teased. After Receiving his plate of food, Burger, apple and a glass of water he Faced Max "Pick a seat and I will fallow." Sometimes I really do wish I could see. I'd love to see the faces of the people who are so friendly.

Max: He bit his bottom lip. He said to sit where I wanted, bit Sam seems social enough. I broke down and decided to sit at an adjacent table to Conor. He didn't think he would talk, but he could at least listen to what the others were saying.

Samuel: When they reached their destinations Samuel came confused when he realized just how close they were to the others. He placed himself directly next to Max. Did he sit here because of me? He tapped the floor to make sure he was directly next to Max and turned his face to him. I wish I could see 'facial expressions' people say it helps so much..... helps you know and connect to people.... but I..... "You didn't have to. I wouldn't mind being further away. I'm comfortable around you and i'd like you be comfortable too..." He twisted his lips in concern.
