Fantasy The Yokai Village

Usaia only stared at the Yokai and smiled. "Hello.." She mustered a wave. They were pretty quiet, and not much of them were interacting. It's because they're not used to here, yet... They still remember their old village..

Bo'Rai takes a large drink from his gourd-shaped flask after he catches and lands his second fish. The older kitsune decided to let the rest of them resume...whatever it is they're doing. Kanin seemed pretty interested in helping someone who didn't seem interested in getting helped, while the other two seemed to want to linger in their own spaces. You can only be young and foolish once, so why should Bo'Rai attempt to step in and ruin the fun? Besides, he would have more time when he caught today's meals.

 

[Kirara]

Yamato watched Kanin curiously. Seeing his mouth move but no words coming out, Yamato realized that he most likely couldn't speak. The images continued. Yamato knitted his brows together. How would touching his arm heal him exactly? He looked over Kanin again. He felt no ill intent from the yokai. His reason for wanting to help Yamato was still unknown. Deciding to go against his better judgement and see how things turned out, Yamato raised his arm towards Kanin. He kept a close eye on the other for any signs of attack.

 

[Elimain]

Kanin smiles, happy that he could be of help. He sends an image of Yamato's arm fully healed to Yamato, trying to get him to think about his arm being healed. Once Kanin thinks Yamato is thinking of it he reaches out slowly and touches his arm. As soon as he does this Yamato can start to feel the pain fade away from his arm. As seconds pass Kanin's smile slowly fades away and a grimaced expression slowly starts to appear. After Yamato's arm is fully healed Kanin shakes his head and gives you a wide smile before sitting down against the tree again.

 

[Kirara]

Yamato noticed the smile fade from Kanin's face. The pain in his arm slowly ebbed away. It was almost as if Kanin had taken the wound upon himself. It was a fascinating concept. Yamato rubbed his hand over his arm which was as good as new. He paused and looked at Kanin who was sitting against the tree.


"... My thanks." He finally said. He then looked to the yokai in the tree and narrowed his eyes. This one had been mostly quiet. Suspicious.

A third fish richer, Bo'Rai decides he has enough fish for the time being. He packs his fish and his pole up onto his back as he decides to look for some firewood around the area, The kitsune heads off to gather some to cook his meal.

 

[Elimain]

Kanin looks up at the yokai in the tree wondering what she was doing up there and why she wouldn't answer his question. Maybe she didn't understand he thought, after this he sent another image of the nametag with a question mark to her.

Usaia awoke from her thoughts when an image of a name tag was sent to her. "Hm?" She stared at it in confusion and grinned a bit. "I'm just bored." The Inu replied back to the yokai below her. @Elimain

 

[Elimain]

Furrowing his brow he looked towards Yamato and sent him the image of the name tag along with the image of Usaia. He then looks towards Reika again and beckons her to come closer, hoping to make her feel more welcome. Looking back into the tree he waits for Usaia hoping Yamato would help decipher what he was trying to say.

[Kirara]

Yamato watched the exchange between the yokai. The kitsune had wondered off somewhere. Kanin sent another mental image to him.This one confused him a bit, but realized what it meant after a moment of thought.


"He was asking for your name." Yamato said to the yokai in the tree. It wasn't that difficult was it? The others all seemed to understand.

As he gathers some suitable wood for a small fire Bo'Rai idly whistles to himself. He practically didn't have a care in the world right now and didn't mind finding it himself just this one time. Some branches here, some dry grass there. In the area surrounding the village, it was more or less all just as good.

"Oh, I'm Usaia." She smiled back down at them. Her legs were still kicking in the air and with her brown hair flowing. The wind was gracefully dancing with the leaves that flew by. @Lazygout @Elimain

 

[Elimain]

Kanin smiles up at Usaia before looking around. After looking for a bit he starts to walk off humming a tune, waving at the yokai that are still by the tree..

Usaia waved back still smiling. She wanted to run and hide but that will make the other yokai suspicious. Her heart ached so much of pain. She'll feel more pain when she betrays them at the right time.

Meanwhile in the distance a figure watched the village...

Their mouth sneered in disgust at the sight of Yokai, they couldn't wait to eliminate the creatures from this planet once and for all, but they would have to wait until a crack in the shield appeared...
