Fantasy The Wrath of the Queen (Closed)

LeniousStorm

Skater Boi
(I've got no idea if this is posted in the right place. I ask in numerous places and I never got an answer lol. Try not to leave anyone out guys! I can’t wait to see how far this role-play gets :) Remember, the queen has recently attacked and the princess is on the run toward Naurus)

Casimir sat tall and proud beside his father’s chair, his fork picking at the perfectly seared ribeye on his plate. He wasn’t upset, mad, or even annoyed. He was simply tired. It had been a long day of observing the farmhands, making sure they were doing their jobs correctly. They had just gotten a new group of servants, each one that needed different training. Being next in line for the throne, the boy had to prove himself, prove that he could take on any responsibilities, no matter what the task. So, his father took this chance and sent the young prince out to train and watch the new servants. Being outside all day, practically doing the jobs for them, caused Casimir’s body to ache and he just wanted to head to bed for the night.

Casimir's father, Caspian, clearly noticed how weak the boy seemed. Just hearing the idea of Casimir doing the work rather than teaching angered the wise king, but he knew his son had his ways of teaching. The king had to stay quiet, this was the person who was going to take over as king when he passes. The older man knew he had to let his son do things his own way, despite them being wrong. He sat quietly, enjoying his own meal as he kept his gaze on the plate. “You need to eat, son. You need your strength for tomorrow. I want you and a couple of guards to survey the land, make sure everything is going smoothly like it should. Help people if they need it. That's what we are here for. To make sure the vill-”

“The villagers are happy and healthy. I know, Father. You don’t have to give me the same lecture everyday. Make sure everyone is living under well conditions,” Casimir interrupted with a wave of his hand, stabbing the prongs of the fork into the meat and taking the bite. Much to Caspian’s displeasure toward the young man, he kept his thoughts to himself and focused on his own meal. “I just want you to learn what it means to be a true king, son. If that means reminding you every day, then so be it,” the king said with a shrug, spooning some mashed potatoes into his mouth and sitting back.

Avalon
It was dark and deathly quiet as Avalon raced barefoot through the countryside, leaving behind the screaming and anger induced rampage of her mother, her now she hoped ex- two faced betrothed, and her favorite red heels. She ran faster than ever before, huffing and gasping for air as she held onto the excess fabric from her stupidly long evening gown. That, despite her efforts, would snag and tear on anything and everything it could. Unable to breath or force herself forward any longer, the princess collapsed in the tall grasses of a prairie, as she reached the furthest boarder of her kingdom. Weeping, she held herself in frustration and clawed at what was left of her once beautiful twilight blue dress.

Eventually Avalon's breathing slowed and her body relaxed as she lay there in her own embrace beneath the stars and when she began to shiver from the cool nighttime breeze, she knew she had to keep moving again. Her feet, now mimicking the color of the shoes they once wore, ached as she stood and changed course for the only kingdom closest to her now, Naurus. Painfully she ran, knowing she had no other choice and praying the King would offer her sanctuary. And realizing a moment too late that her presence would cause great danger to the Kingdom as well. Only her crown, somehow still secured to her disheveled half up/ half down hair offered any clue that she was in-fact royalty as she reached the farmlands of Naurus.

Panting she fell once more to her knees as she reached the door of the nearest household and banged her hands against it. They had to be a more well off family for the house was not one commonly associated with a peasant and the man who came to the door didn't look like he'd actually farmed a day in his life. "Please," she moaned,"I am Princess Avalon Sinclair of Ziteron, I must be taken to King Caspian immediately! There is a great danger coming and..." She broke out in tears as she remembered the screams of her people she'd begun to hear when she reached the start of the countryside, and cursed herself for not going back to save at least one life. "You must take me NOW!" she bellowed at the man, who in turn, immediately sprinted from the door to alert the rest of the household.

Alexander Callow
Alex sat by a small fire just past the treeline next to a large open field. His horse lay resting tied to a tree. He had a small rabbit skewered and laying over the fire. It was just about done by now and his mouth watered. He hadnt eaten since that morning and his stomach grumbled. A small pot hung over the fire he had crafter aswell, boiling water and beans into a fine coffee. He rarely left for a bounty without his coffee. He had a coffee nearly every morning. As time passed he poured his long desired drink into one of the small metalic cups he had packed for the trip. Quickly digging into the rabbit he ate until his hunger was almost satisfied. He hadnt caught a very large rabbit. To finish his rough meal he ate some of the dried and salted beef designed for travel. It didnt spoil as quick as normal beef would. It was the type of measly rations given to soldiers on march to war. The only think making it any better than horibble was the coffeee that he used to wash down every bite. Traveling alone was dangerous, his horse was trained to alert him to anything he himself didnt notice but even a horse can miss something small or quiet enough. He slept for only a few hours before waking up about and hour before dawn. He packed up his things extinguished the rest of the fire and made on his way back to the capital city if Ziteron. And back to his home just outside walls of the city.

Alexandre
The sound of metal against metal loudly rang on the yard, Alexandre on one side and an apprentice knight at the other. Since the new servants had come in they had no time to train during the day so they had to train at night, The rookie struck down fast. Sparks flew off the two blades as Alexandre moved his blade up quickly and the two blades were held still in a sheer test of strength between the two, neither wavered to the other. A bead of sweat moved down the side of the rookie's face and you could hear his hesitation come through as he sighed, as soon as the sigh had ended the blade from the rookie was on the ground now and stuck by the point into the dirt. Alexandre gave way to a small smirk, "I was going easy on you my friend. From here on though you can't show your opponent even a moment of hesitation, because if another kingdom breaks treaty and attacks.. they won't wait for you to pick your blade off the ground" He spoke simply hoping to get his point across without having to be too harsh or too severe.

The eyes of the rookie said that he understood so Alexandre nodded, "Training is over for the night. Get your rest and get ready for the patrol tomorrow" He said clapping his companion on the back making the man go unsteady for a moment before setting himself up once more. Alexandre began to the inner workings of the castle and sheathed his blade quickly, the rookie had already begun back to the barracks as the two separated. Alexandre went through a few hallways his armor making as little sound as he could manage before getting to the door of the dining hall, he needed to be present in case anything went south so he stayed outside the door, that way he could listen for his summons and stand guard all-in-one.

He stood in a rather, for lack of better wording, knightly position. With his shoulders back and his hand upon the handle of his blade to be ready for any perpetrators, since you couldn't exactly pass him before getting to the royal family. Though he was holding post he was also concentrated on listening intently, he had to help train some of the other.. more exceptional soldiers and that in itself was easy enough. But when you added this to his pile of already gargantuan duties, it would just become more and more difficult for most people, that's why he was glad he wasn't most people. He was Alexandre Detoreis and he would show anyone who didn't know that he was the best fighter in Naurus.

Alyce
Leaning against her makeshift bed, the peasant girl was counting the amount of money she earned this week. 19....20....21. Alyce dropped each coin into her small box, where she kept her earnings from her job. Once her counting was done, she held only 21 coins. This not enough money to buy herself a coat for the winter but it was enough for a small meal. She would have to weigh her options very carefully; either stay warm for the winter to come or buy food to survive. Careful not to drop a single coin, she picked up the box then placed it into the small gap in her floor boards.

That was where she stored her box until she came home, it was safe from wanderers that stumbled into her home. Alyce covered the hole with another piece of the floorboard then climbed into her bed. Her bed consisted of worn down sheets, a mattress stuffed with straw and a old, ragged pillow. It didn't seem like much but the bed was quite comfortable despite the material used. She had been lucky to find these items at her old house before there were looters, otherwise she would have been sleeping out on the streets again.

Looking out her window, Alyce could see the stars stretch endlessly against the night time sky. From her abandoned home the view was excellent and there was no one to interrupt you from viewing such a sight, that was one of the reasons why she loved sky. "Hm. I need get up really early tomorrow, I should get my sleep." The peasant girl was talking to no one but herself. It was rather strange to others but she was used to it, she had no one to talk to after all. Alyce shifted herself away from the window and managed to get some sleep.

Casimir
The young prince finally pushed himself to a stand leaving the plate for the servants to take care of. "Good night, Father," Casimir said before he turned on his heel and walked out of the dining room. He glanced at the knight standing beside the door, nodding his head once to gestured a hello as he passed and walked down the hallway toward his rooms. He wasn't tired, he was just wanting to avoid an argument with the king. The longer they sat there and spoke, the more annoyed Casimir would get with the man. He knew it was best just to finish his dinner and get up to the his room where he could be alone for the rest of the night.

Casimir came to a halt when he heard the pound footsteps coming toward the hallway. He looked toward the guard, approaching him quickly. "Calm down. What's going on?" he asked the frantic guard, looking toward the entrance door. Were they under attack? He looked back hearing the dining room door open and he saw his father before looking back at the guard.

"Mr. Rayes has brought Princess Avalon Sinclair of Ziteron here. She's frantic, scared. She mentioned danger is coming. What should we do, sir?" the guard asked, looking between the prince and the king. Casimir went quiet, knowing his father would take control of this situation just like every other time. He crossed his arms over his chest, looking toward the king to hear what they were going to do. "Casimir. Bring her inside and lead her to the den. Make sure you get her a blanket. Guard. Bolt the door behind her. If there is danger coming, we need to protect the kingdom. Alert the other guards, send them to the village to keep watch and protect the civilians. Alexandre. I want you to go with my son, make sure the princess is okay. Afterwards, you will join the guards and go to the village," the king ordered, heading off to the kitchen to have the chef make the girl something to eat.

Casimir headed straight to the door, pulling it open as he looked at the young princess and Mr. Rayes. "Thank you Mr. Rayes. Please. Go home, lock your windows and bolt your doors. Princess Sinclair," the prince said as he gave a small bow and held out his hand to lead her inside the castle.

Chloe Asselin

Chloe lifted the lid from the top of a steaming pot over a fire. A tangy scent wafted out, causing her to wrinkly her nose. Pouring out the sticky grey contents into a vial, she murmured to herself. She had managed to combine two poisons, creating a more potent one that, hopefully, would take out enemies quickly. The mercenary had learned the art of poisons from her mentor, but had never really gotten the chance to experiment.

Leaning against a pine tree, she watched the fire dwindle. Tomorrow, she would make for the kingdom of Ziteron. The queen herself had contacted Chloe, in a fit of rage. She would be payed 100 grand in gold to find the princess. Of course, the mercenary had taken up the tempting offer. She got up, tossing water over the fire. It went out with a hiss, sending smoke into Chloe's face. The vial of poison sat on a tree stump, beckoning to her. She shook it, watching the grey liquid drip down. She pulled out a small dagger with a long, thin blade. After carefully coating the sharp edges with a thin veil of poison, she set it down. She would need the stuff to dry and stick to the blade.

A rumble in her stomach alerted her to the sharp pangs of hunger she felt. After quickly throwing branches and leaves over her campsite, Chloe withdrew into a smaller clearing. There, her horse was waiting, tied to a branch. She patted it's shaggy flank, then mounted. Clicking her tongue, she urged it forward. They set out in a brisk trot to the nearest village.

Avalon
The ride to the castle was brutal. Avalon’s tears had calmed and her thoughts roared in the silence. She held herself as the pains and aches of her body came to fruition. It was strange how up until not she hadn’t noticed the small cuts on her body or the blisters that hid on the bottoms of her feet, but she was relieved they didn’t stop her on her journey here.

Soon enough she was being escorted to the front of the castle, past knights and guards who looked at her with expressions of panic and concern. Avalon walked slowly towards the King who was already shouting out orders she couldn’t bring herself to pay attention to. Things got loud and quiet all at once and then, it was just her and Prince Casimir who’d been holding the door open and his hand out for lord knows how long. She decided against holding his hand, knowing how dirty hers were. Embarrassed, she walked past the prince into the castle noticing the guard behind him for the first time.

As they walked, Avalon couldn’t remember the last time she’d visited the castle or even if she ever formally met the royal family. The only reason she knew their names and faces was because she had to study and memorize them, along with all the other royal families. Just one of the many lessons to prepare her for becoming Queen. “Thank you,” she whispered to Casimir as they walked down the hall into a den area. She sat on the first comfy looking sofa she could find, making sure to maintain her posture as best she could, but wanting to relax immensely. With no idea what to do or how to say what she needed to next, she looked at the prince a moment longer before she spoke cautiously, “I’m afraid I’m a harbinger and we need to leave now, you need to tell your people to evacuate...My mother will realize I’ve come here soon and I don’t want anyone else to get hurt.”

Alexandre
Listening intently to everything that the king had stated along with that of the guard gave Alexandre all he needed to know for this. Panic would likely spread soon if the castle itself managed to get stirred, he nodded to the king and spoke softly "Yes my lord" before following after Casimir to the door and standing behind him with a respectable distance, all while holding his blades hilt firmly in-case this was a ruse.

"My liege, if there is indeed an attack. Should I advise the villagers to retreat deeper into the kingdom?" He asked with a solemn and yet hushed tone as not to let the wandering ear hear the words he spoke. His eyes watched the princess and made quick note of the nicks upon her dress and the wounds upon her body, this wasn't something from battle.. at least not one he could tell of. This was definitely the sign of the runaway, if they were indeed sheltering a runaway then there was no telling what had happened. So his mind was swirling with different possibilities that stormed like a tornado within his head, "Please do still yourself madam.. Trust me the guards will do our best as instructed." He stated simplistically to her and left room for the two royals to speak now.

Looking out the doorway he made note of the servant with a blanket for the girl approaching and left that as it was, as it was possible that the prince may want to be somewhat of a showman and have a more courteous influence on their guest. If not then he could handle the situation with the greatest ease, he had to figure out what to do if the queen of Ziteron appeared. From the way it seemed he may have to soothe things over if it was all the normal expectancy in his head, that being a runaway managed to get here due to her mother having a bout of anger towards her.. but he supposed anything was possible.

Alyce
The female was in a rather deep sleep, she had been indeed rather tired from her long day of work. However this peaceful sleep was not to last as a sound was coming from the window. The annoying but high pitched sound had awoken the poor girl from her sleep. "Ugh...What is it now?! I just want to get some sleep." Angrily, Alyce croacked her head towards the sound, only to discover that it had only been a harmless bird. The bird continued to look at her through the window, pecking at the glass window.

Without batting an eye, the brown haired girl lightly knocked her window. That had done the trick, as the bird quickly flew away once it saw that she was awake. She continued to look at the window for a few more moments before bringing her hand to her mouth and softly yawning a bit. "Now for some sleep." Alyce mumbled, turning back towards her bed. The girl tried to get to sleep again, but sadly she couldn't find any pleasant dreams for her to latch onto.

She tried a few more times to fell asleep, each time she would get even more fustrated, before she honestly gave up. "Great, this is making me even more hungry." She grumpled to herself, looking up at the darken ceiling of the room. Even if she wasn't strapped for cash at the moment, there was no way for her to buy food, most of the stories are already closed at this point expect for the inn. The brown haired girl had 100% given up, sighing in defeat as she laid in bed.

Chloe

As night fell, Chloe felt herself become restless. An hour before, she had stolen a sack of dried meat along with a bread loaf from a village. After a narrow escape, both she and her horse were tired. Yet when she had lain to rest, she couldn't bring herself to close her own eyes. That's it. she thought. Packing up her camp was quick, and within twenty minutes she had saddled her horse and they were trotting north. To the kingdom of Ziteron.

For hours, Chloe pushed her horse at a steady pace. Only when the first rays of dawn appeared along the horizon did she pull the horse to a stop. She dismounted, stretching. After she took out the remains of last night's meal, she let the horse out to graze. The shaggy beast was tired, but she had trained him well. He could go for many more kilometers before being forced to stop. There were only a few more leagues to go before they would spot the kingdom, by Chloe's reckoning.

Chloé knew she was close. After passing a couple of small farms, the sounds of nature had died away. Even the sounds of the farms were muted, It was as if nature itself was holding its breath, waiting for the aftermath of the Queen's wrath. Chloe had begun to drift off in the saddle, her eyes dropping closed, when a soft snort came from her mount. She jerked her head up, then let out a breath of relief that whistled between her teeth. Below the ridge they were straddling, the kingdom of Ziteron's walls stood, dark and foreboding.

Queen Evelyn of Ziteron

Queen Evelyn stood before a village in Ziteron, closest to the capital, watching it burn and listening to the blood curdling screams of innocents running before her trying to escape. In the horizon dawn was breaking. Before the scene in front of her became an event, she had sent word recruiting mercenaries to assist in locating her daughter. Evelyn had heard from vagabonds about a Chloe and Alexander, well known thugs to do dirty work. So she sought out more information, because it would be wise to seek hired help.

Before coming to her current location, she had ran into a drifting beggar. He was standing a notice bored. "Yo...Your Highness! Wha...What are you doing..." they beggar had stumbled on his words, but not before the Queen made him fly into a tree with the waive of her hand."SILENCE!" she screamed. The beggar looked up at her from the ground, blood running down the side of his face from the impact. The look of shock and fear upon his face. Evelyn continued, "If you have information I need I'll let you live." She held her hand out to help him up, but he just stared. " Where does Alexander Callow live?" she asked. He pointed towards the capitol, his whole arm shaking violently, "In an old house outside the capitol..." he croaked. Turning, she left the beggar to die for he had already lost to much blood.

On her way back to the Capitol from a rampage to find her daughter, she found the village. Her thoughts were a battle for control, one part trying to make sense of everything, and the dark part. The dark part was the curse.Newly awakened power she had no control over nor not understood. It was as if a part of her soul lay dormant, but now it was awake and hungry. She craved destruction. Her daughter, Princess Avalon, that last link she had to her beloved. Evelyn wanted her daughter dead, and so in a fit of fury and pain she made the village burn.

Casimir
Casimir glanced toward the knight, listening to his words before giving a small nod. "if we truly are in danger, the safety of the people is the most important thing. We need to alert the rest of the village, make sure they get out of town, somewhere safe. Until this whole thing is done with," the young prince said before he turned his gaze on the princess, watching her slip past him. He turned on his heel and followed her into the den, sitting on the chair across from the princess.

Casimir listened closely to her words, his head slowly tilting to the side a bit. "Princess Avalon, calm yourself. I don't understand whats going on before we do anything rash, anything we may regret. What do you mean you don't want anyone else to get hurt? Is the Queen alright?" he asked, his voice full of concern and worry as he watched the princess. The news of the attack still hadn't arrive to the kingdom of Naurus. All they had of knowledge was what Avalon would tell them. The young prince couldn't help but be skeptical.

Maybe Princess Avaolon simply ran away because she didn't want to marry the prince she was supposed to be with. Maybe the princess got into an argument with her mother and ran. Something could have happened that triggered the princess, causing her to start ruckus and run away from home, scaring the nearby kingdoms and villages. Then again...why go through all the trouble of warning the kingdoms, just for the fun of it? It didn't make sense. Surley something was wrong. Casimir just didn't understand.

The young prince looked over at the servant girl and he stood, walking over and gently taking the blanket from her. He walked over, gently handing it to the princess before he sat back down in the chair, crossing one leg over his knee. "Princess Avalon. I need you to explain everything. Go slow. Don't leave any details out. What happened, and what is going on?" Prince Casimir asked in a gentle tone.

Avalon
Avalon wrapped the blanket around herself, feeling its warmth welcoming her to sleep. She covered her mouth and yawned as the prince returned to his seat. Sighing, she tried to explain everything she saw,"Okay, it all started after dinner. My mother has been very distant since my fathers death and I guess she was on edge tonight. Anyway, there was a mistake made in the kitchen causing the food to burn...I didn't mind waiting a little longer, but the Prince of Crawliwen and his family were furious. I tried to calm him, but they insisted my mother and I should be more harsh with our servants."

She paused, hesitant to talk about what happened next. Avalon could tell both the guard and Casimir doubted her claims of danger coming. "My mother...she was angrier than I've ever seen...and then the argument got physical. I don't understand how, but I could feel this dark energy emitting from her, and it was like she wasn't my mother anymore. I left the room and that's when I heard the Royals of Crawliwen screaming, but not like before. The screams sounded more fear induced...When a servant fled past me, I knew I had to run." A shiver ran down her back as she recalled the look on the young servants face, it was as if he had met death himself. At the time she didn't know if she should go back and stop her mother or try and warn others, only that she should get as far from her home as fast as she could. "That's why I'm here. I couldn't save my people from her, but I can warn others and try to save as many as I can now," a small tear escaped her and she looked down, not wanting Casimir to see her shed even one tear. Most royals she'd met saw how emotional she is as a weakness. Needless to say, she didn't want Casimirs first impression of her to be tainted even more than it already was.

Alexandre
Keeping in mind what Prince Casimir had stated to him he held his tongue as he thought of what he should do for the people, this being as he didn't wish to cause an uproar nor did he wish to keep it haphazardly there at the side. Those ideas were something that would reduce the panic for the villagers and overall mean less tension within the kingdom in case they needed to band together somehow in a final defense. Though he doubted the issue would escalate that far regardless of the ideas that Princess Avalon seemed to bring about this kingdom, however the Queen of Ziteron did sound to be quite strong in the stages of mystical art if she was able to bring down an entire kingdom by herself.

Contemplating still he brought his attention to the young prince in concern for how his young master would handle this as he was, while it was somewhat.. unsettling he was sure Casimir would be more than capable of handling it. At least for appearance sake, "So dark arts then..." He muttered beneath his breath as a notation for himself more so than a conversation piece. He looked out into the hallway and gave a nod, to which two more of the royal guards entered as quietly as possible. Dropping to a knee Alexandre placed himself closer to the exit as to insist urgency, "My lord. I must request absence from the scene.. if we truly are to go up against something as tremendous as the princess insists. I must ready the men for such, otherwise our defense may not hold" He said still kneeling with his head down as the highest respect he could represent towards the two royals, he knew his place and knew that this request was necessary but only if it was permitted.

"In my absence I shan't leave you unprotected, Markov and Izern are two of my best men" He said gesturing to the two knights kneeling on either side of him. Each adorned with full armor that bore the crest of kingdom Naurus and a blade equal to that at Alexandre's side strapped to their side, "Upon my leaving I shall begin to withdraw the villagers from the outskirts and maintain as little panic as possible" He spoke before going quiet to hear the princes statement to such a request if he was to be scolded for such then he'd accept it without resistance but if granted he wouldn't spare a moments noticed before going off to control this situation.

Alexander Callow

Alex had beensitting on the porch of his small home. He hadnt been back there for a while. It was somewhat secluded from the rest of the village. Only one long dirt road lead into the forest and to his home. Through the thick forest travelers would eventually come across a small stream. About another half mile from the stream as the road curved there was a clearing. In the center lied his home. It was rundown now but there were remnants of the former glory of the home. Now the flora had become overgrown and covered the walls, the roof while not destroyed looked as if jt were ready to fall apart. There was a fire pit and a small shed outside just within the wooden fence. That surrounded the place. Alex could see the smoke rising from the distance. Something.....a very large thing was burning. The smoke a black mushroom in the sky. His sword at his hip and his bow lay beside him. He prepared for the madness that would surely come.

Alyce
"I'm not going to get any sleep tonight. Thank you SO much stupid bird." The girl mumbled, angrily while silently cursing at her window. She needed her rest for the next day, since she worked 3 jobs and all of them were back breaking work to the poor girl. If she showed up tired at her job, then she may as well be out of a job. Her employers were rich, old people that disliked laziness; they saw being tired as an excuse to get out of the job.

Her other employeers were the same, however they preached and preached all about God. They would whoop and holler in your ears as innocent people would pass the church, leaving her to apologize for them. Sometimes they would make her sweep the courtyard, which would make her late to her next job. Honestly Alyce wasn't a personal fan of this thing named 'God', however she watched her mouth around them all the same.

This 'God' was the reason behind her suffering, if there was ever a way then she would pay him back tenfold. The girl stayed awake throughout the night, only tossing and turning against the bed sheets. Once the sky began to lighten up however, the peasant girl got immediately to work. She swiftly rose from the bed and started to get dressed for the long day ahead of her. Using only a small amount of water from a bucket in the corner, she washed her face.

Evelyn

Walking from the now burnt village miles behind her, forward in view, was the capitol. After that evenings events she had killed everyone in the palace, but left the citizens alone. She sat down next to a tree to rest, suddenly becoming dizzy. Closing her eyes, she breathed in, the smells of smoke and death clung to her. She opened her eyes and looked herself over. Her once clean, soft skin was now grey and black from ash. The grey gown she wore was soaked red at the bottom along with ash scorched in various places. Flashbacks of the events came flooding back and she screamed. "Wha...What have I done?!"

"You killed everyone. Everyone died because of you." She heard a haunting voice, but looked around and saw no one. "Your love, the great king, is dead! The Princess must die! Must die!" Evelyn covered her ears, not wanting to listen, but then she realized it was her consciousness. A dark version of herself. "Nooo!" she screamed, still covering her ears shaking on the ground. The voice continued with a shriek of laughter, " I am you. Give in to your desire. You won't need to hurt anymore. Feel anymore. Kill. KILL" Evelyn blacked out falling over onto the ground. A few minutes later she stood up as if nothing had happened. Her gaze lifted from the ground, to the capitol and the forest outside of it. Just a few more miles to the village she thought.

Coming to the village there was a fork in the road. She turned to go down the forgotten path towards where the beggar had said Alexander Callow lived. Before leaving the capitol to attempt in locating her daughter herself she had send for a women mercenary to meet her here, to find her daughter. She began to see a building that looked to be falling apart between the trees. Evelyn walked into the trees, her presence making all the birds fly from the area in fear. In response to the birds, her power began to leak from within making a storm brew. She stood behind a tree, peering around it she saw a man sitting there. Waving her hand, she attempted to make him fly into the wall.

Alexander Callow

He hadnt seen the queens approach, this was a rarity. His perceptive eyes caught even the smallest glimpses of movement. But not this time. The only warning he got was the sudden fleeing of the birds. Leaping from their trees into the air. He stood and reached for his bow but instead he found himself lifted from his feet and forced against the worn walls of his childhood home. The wood splintered and cracked, the force sent him through the weakened wall. As he lay in the center of what once was his dear mothers room, splintered wood hbder him. The chair that once rested in the corner, for when his mother nursed him as a baby was now in pieces beneath him as well. He let out a pained groan as he forced himself to his feet. Drawing his sword he stepped forward towards the breech of the wall. Calling out ti his attacker "Show yourself! Only a Coward strikes while in hiding!" His voice was strangely calm. As if he did not fear whatever man or beast had struck him.

Queen Evelyn of Ziteron

Queen Evelyn watched as the young man as he went flying through the wall, and smiled a treacherous smile. Good, You are becoming more atune to me, said the dark voice. Still hiding behind the tree, she slowly started to step out, hidden by the shade of the trees above. The forest around her was still, as if sensing the darkness from within her and all seemed still. Before her the man got out of the rubble, and began to yell. She laughed aloud, "Me a coward please." Stepping out from the cover of the trees, Evelyn walked forward one step at a time full of animosity. She studied the man closely just in case he decided to attack, her hand ready to set him aflame, like she had done with those in the palace. "I am the Queen of Ziteron, and you Alexander Callow, are going to help me." she cried in demand.

Alexander Callow
Alex brought his bastard sword up and into a two handed low guard. Before speaking he studied the Queen, assessing her equipment "And why would I help you now?" He almost laughed at the statement but had enough sense to know it probably wouldnt end well for him. His bow remained behind him on the porch, out if reach and useless to him now.

Queen Evelyn

The Queen continued forward, presuming a sense of authority and danger, holding his gaze. "Oh please, I was merely testing your skills, mercenary, I command that you assist your Queen in finding the Princess." She hissed. "She ran away." Stopping just across the grassy opening from the place he stood. Studying his posture and movements as he contemplated his next move, which she had almost missed. The young man had to help her, must serve his Queen, in locating her daughter. For the Princess Avalon's death was only a painful memory of what was.

A memory flashed in her minds eye of the first time she saw her daughter as a new born babe. She remembered everything for that brief moment, her daughters soft skin, her thick black hair, little fingers and toes. The most precious moment of observing her beloved King holding there newly beloved treasure. Something within the queen broke, like a crack in pottery, as the darkness broke control momentarily. Her posture went slack, and she hung her head. "Please...please...help me." she said in but a whisper as tears escaped.

Chloe
Chloe dismounted, drawing her sword. The gates of the capitol were open and deserted. Narrowing her eyes, she slipped through, her horse stepping in behind her. The only sounds present were the soft clopping of the horse’s shod hooves, which sent an eerie echoing throughout the city.

Chloe moved slowly, sweeping her gaze over the city. Houses were diminished to rubble, and nobody appeared from the depths of taverns or inns. She drew up short, thunking into the horse's solid chest. Two bodies were splayed in front of her, shards of bone sticking out of their legs and arms. Catching her breath quickly , she stepped around them. The queen had to be outraged to destroy her city like this.

The words from the queen's message were burned into the mercenary's head. She was to meet the queen near the gates to the west, and be ready for anything. Mounting her horse once again, she pushed it to a trot. The streets were ling and twisted. The pair had to take many different ways to avoid the rubble blocking the streets. So far, nobody had come out, though Chloe had an eerie feeling, as if she was being watched.

When they reached the gates, Chloe heard a yelling voice. That must be her, and she sounds angry, Chloe thought. She rested her sword across the saddle, then carefully reached for her bow. Nocking an arrow, she clicked her tongue, setting the horse into a cautious walk. They followed a small path, until they reached a clearing. There stood the queen, above a man.

Alexander Callow
Alex was confused at the Queens sudden change of tone. She almist seemed desperate. This softened him, he empathized with the trouble and pain of a family member going missing. After all he had lost his family. But this did not mean he would blindly listen to the very woman who only moments before sent him through a wall without reason. "Why should I help you? After you assault me you wish for my help?" He almost chuckled but thought better of the situation and stopped himself. He remained in a readied stance. Although he felt it would be little help against any future attacks it seemed to bring him some comfort .

Queen Evelyn

The Queen stood there in silence as tears wet her dirty cheeks leaving behind streaks. Her legs gave way and she collapsed to her knees. Evelyn looked up at the mercenary, "For...Forgive me..."she stumbled out amongst a fit of sobs. Again she averted her gaze to the ground below, nothing but despair clouded her thoughts. The darkness began to awaken again and she felt her power, her magic begin to seep out. She stood up off the ground and looked at the man with her tear streaked face, "Please...I beg of you help me find my daughter..." She raised her hand and closed her eyes trying to focus on the disaster she had created of his house. The broken wood began to go back together creating a new wall. "If not for me, please do it to save her from it...." she said in the tiniest whisper as she met his gaze.

Evelyn's presence changed instantly from desperate to exhuming power and death. She smiled a cruel twisted smile, "We have company." Her head snapped towards the spot she had just come from. The darkness within her had control again, and it reached out to seek what the presence was she has been sensing. A women and a horse. "Come out dear. I see you received my message." She began to laugh a cruel and fearful sound.
