Ann watched with worried eyes as Lily threw up. She would need to eat once she woke up. She went wide eyed as Veronica's hair turned to snakes. She made a mental note to stay clear of those. Snakes were not her favorite thing in the world. She had a feeling it was one of her mouse instincts that carried over from the fact that snakes ate mice.
She was startled when a girl came crashing from the trees. She tried to flip and land, but it obviously failed as she landed on her face. She went to go and help her, but Myremon cast a spell on her and said she was in command of a demon army. She slowly edged back, away from the demon girl.

"Huh?" She looked up to where she heard the sound. She saw some weird dressed girl seemingly fly through the air, doing some flips before landing face first into the hard ground below. "....Uh..." She was confused though a bit worried for her. The child stood up, seeming to hold back tears, and announced that they should surrender and that she 'the magnificent Ash' would capture them but she then stopped. She asked them to give her a moment. "Huh...?" She was honestly confused. Was she an actual threat at all?

Ash

"Hmm..." What would she do? Well first of all, she needed to take them back to her house. What good villain wouldn't do that? "I have found the an-" A loud squeak sounded, a squeak quiet similar to the noise made by a rubber duck when squeezed. She noticed that dark chains binded her. "Hey! Be careful! You could hurt someone with that! You already hurt Mr. Duck!" Upon closer look, she had a rubber duck in her pocket. Oh wait! This was perfect. While the man who had binded her was talking, she thought that this was her perfect chance. As if she never heard words of Myremon, she started hopping, towards them. She was barely able to even jump due to the chains "Nyeheheh! I've got it! You there!" She looked at Myremon "You shall become my faithful companion! You hurt Mr. Duck so it'd be rude of you to refuse!" She tried hopping a bit more but still couldn't go any closer to them. "Now!.....Uh..." She once again began to think. "Uh....Ah yes! Unchain me and let's capture these humans! Let us find out where they came from and why that one" She looked at Dante. "Looks like a demo--wooaah" She tripped on a rock and flopped onto the floor. "P-please help me up"

One year ago

"Ion! Celestia! Luna! Xaz!" Myremon looked up at the hole he fell, screaming at his group, trying to discern their safety. Luna's voice echoed back. "We're alright! Are you okay?" Myremon patted his chest, to see if it anything was bleeding. Luckily he was fine. "Yes, although I'm trapped here! I'll see if I can find a way out!" He looked around him, the oppressive darkness of the cave almost swallowing him. When he looked up again, he saw various figures flying southward. One or two entered the hole, but he blasted them away with his Angelus Staff easily. Xaz screamed towards the cave. "Myre! Find a way out! We'll catch up to you as soon as we're done!" He heard the clashing of steel, and realized that even if he could fly, it would be too dangerous to be caught in the midst of the battle. Casting a light spell, he started walking towards the cave, the damp insides of the cave reflecting well the light. He walked for about five minutes until a deafening thunder was heard further down the cave. Running towards the sound, he saw Celestia being cornered by two imps. Myremon started casting firebolt after firebolt, and with the help of the alchemist, they defeated the lowly demons. Celestia placed a hand on his shoulder as he placed his own to his knees, panting. "Myre! I'm so glad you're okay. I came down here looking for you, the rest of the group are fighting the demons there. Let's hurry!" Myremon nodded, and regained his breath. "Why did you come here alone? Something else could be here waiting for us." Celestia shook her head. "The cave is a straight path. I dealt with everything that came here. Let's go." Myremon nodded as the two of them walked towards the entrance. "I thought you guys were going to leave me here!" He joked. Celestia laughed, the sound of her voice echoing through the empty cave. "Of course, as if I'd let you away when we need your healing spells. Luna would say something along the lines of 'We need to save our friend! We can't leave Myremon to the clutches of those vile beasts!' " Myremon chuckled as well. "Yeah, that's Luna alright." The sunset cast a dim light on the entrance of the cave, the forest outside looked untouched by the battle he just witnessed. "Something's not right... Where are all the demons?" As soon as they got out of the cave, Myremon had his answer.

A whole platoon of demons circled the entrance of the cave, weapons at ready. Myre rushed forward, but as soon as he started casting a spell, he felt every bone of his body go rigid. Electricity coursed through his veins, the mage falling on the dirt with a grunt. Looking behind him, he saw Celestia's hand pointing at him, a wicked smile on his face. "Cel? What... what's going on...?" Celestia giggled, taking a deep breath before talking. "Always the naive, aren't you, Myre? Didn't you think the blast that separated you from us was awfully convenient? And you didn't even question when you found me on the cave..." She chuckled, and the chorus of mocking laughter erupted from the ranks of demons. Myre gritted his teeth, trying to get up. "Please, Cel... don't do this..." He tried to reach his staff, but was blasted again by the same bolt of lightning. He fell down with a louder grunt, tears welling on his face. He mustered all his strength to turn around, looking at his attacker. Tears started to escape his eyes. "Why... why, Celestia? Why are you... doing this?" He had difficulty in breathing and he already felt his consciousness slipping away, his eyes feeling heavier and heavier. Celestia sashayed towards Myremon, the same wicked grin plastering her face. "Because you're a burden, and were brought here just as a sacrifice, just like your friends..." Celestia cackled, her form shifting and turning until a demon took her place. The last thing Myremon heard before losing consciousness was Sylvia's laughter, one that would haunt him for the next year. "We're gonna have lots of fun together, Myremon Seonag."

Dante silently agreed and nodded as Veronica stated that the whole group needed to begin moving. Holding Lily wasn't much of a burden on his as the girl was quite light, at least for him he was. But then he saw the snakes wrap around Lily, figuring that Veronica had her covered for right now. He seemed pretty relaxed currently, trying to process the entire situation like a computer with too many tabs open. But then something odd happened. "Nyehehehehehe..." His golden orbs widened and his ears twitched at the first childish laugh. Whether it's superior hearing due to demons different ears or the laughing was loud enough the first time around is not what he was focused on right now. "Ronnie, Remon? Did you two hear that?" He questioned with his guns prepared for a possible ambush. And then it rang through his ears again.

"Nyehehehehehe~!"

At the point, Dante pulled out his dual pistols. "There it is again!" Dante barked again like a dog hearing a high frequency, ready to attack if it was needed. His eyes shot up towards the sky at the...wait. Half-demon? Another half-demon in this realm. He felt second-hand embarrassment as the mysterious half-demon girl that fell flat on her face, hissing softly to himself. God that had to hurt. Impressive flips though. He was standing right in front of the girl as she went on a spiel on how she would capture the humans in front of her. But for some reason, his instinct powering over thorough thinking. "Ash, huh? Seems like an alright ki-" He was then cut off by a sudden spell from Myremon in the girl's direction. What the hell was he thinking? Something about a demon commander named Sylvia and the grasp of Hadar? "Hey what the hell is your damage, Rey?!" He snapped at Myremon momentarily, his brotherly like instinct taking over. He was the only one that dared to inch closer to the girl. Something about her just felt right.

Surprisingly, his eyes gained the same red aura around them when he snapped at Myremon, something ordinary for demons when experiencing a specific sin they were cursed with when they fell. Wrath. Luckily it was nowhere near the intensity of when he was speaking to Elena. It also faded away quickly with a simple deep breath, turning his attention towards the half-demon girl requesting help. He did so with a small smirk on his face. This kid seemed good enough. Outside of the whole capturing thing. "It's because I am a demon kiddo. Well kinda, tieflings are pretty closely related...oh well that doesn't matter right now! Anyways, I'm like you. I'm a half-demon and my name is Dante Faustus." He explained while helping Ash up nonchalantly. Seeing a little girl that was also a half-demon reminded him of when his sisters were younger back home, especially the now 17-year-old Jasper as he remembered the girl being this energetic at 10 or so.

Myremon completely ignored Dante. His eyes were focused on the one called Ash, and as soon as she stepped forward, he modified his Grasp of Hadar to restrain the girl more, the chains sticking to the ground. Myremon slowly approached the girl, studying her, and when he got to her face, he took the girls face in his hand, smushing her cheeks together, whispered a dispelling spell. Staring deep into the girls eyes for a good minute, he dispelled the chains, allowing free movement to the girl, making way for Dante to help her. He then grabbed the rubber duck and squeezed it, the toy making a squeaking sound. "If you're vouching for her, then you'll deal with anything that happens later." He threw the toy at Dante. "Always the naive one, Dante. Didn't you think that the appearance of this... Ash, was awfully convenient? You didn't even question her slapstick act." His voice was dripping with contempt, and for a moment, it didn't resemble Myremon at all. He stared at the winged half demon, the mask preventing any emotion from showing. He cocked his face to one side and raised a hand to Dante's eye level. "Wanna know what's my damage?" He slowly took the glove off. When the cloth and heavy iron glove came off, the only thing that was under it was a black swirl of dark energy just like his magic, barely resembling a hand. The "hand" resembled less and less like a limb by the second, until Myremon forced the form to take the shape of a hand again. He placed the glove back, turning away from the group. "Let's move on. The next settlement shouldn't be far away." He started moving to the direction Veronica stated, silent as the grave.

The girl who introduced herself as Ash fell to the floor after tripping on a rock. Veronica just stood there watching. What was this? Myremon claimed she was a Demon Commander but....this was a child. He claimed that she was a shape shifter but no matter what she was, she was certain if she was a 2nd in command she would have easily wiped them all out and captured them by now. Was this child just an unfortunate victim of the demon attack in this world?

When Myremon showed his hand to the others she looked it, pretty surprised. Seriously. What in the world did they do to him?

Ash

"Hey what are y-" Her 'faithful companion' went over and grabbed her face, smushing her cheeks together "hey i shaid to pick me up not squeesh me" He stood her right into the eyes for almost a minute before letting her go and removing the chains. "Nyeheh! So you decided to help me! Now go! Wrap the-" She pointed to the other but then layed there frozen, as she still hadn't gotten up, looking at Myremon. "H-Hey! That's Mr. Duck! You still have no right to touch him!" She went to get up to go retrieve him but Myremon had already thrown it back! "H-hey!" She stood up and launched herself through the air to catch the rubber duck, landing on the ground. "Hey! That's rude! This won't be forgiven easily!" She said. Dante went over to her and picked her up. "Half-Demon? I thought only humans came from the other world! Interesting....." She stared at his hair. "Your hair looks like a duck's hair. Fluffy and yellow. I like it" She smirked, then looked back at Myremon, who showed his hand to the others. "Oh! You also have a magic hand! Look at mine!" Her hand got surrounded by a dark blue energy before it transformed into a big demon hand "Look! It's like a giant gauntlet that only I can wear!" she showed everybody else before the gauntlet disappeared and her normal hand appeared again. "You want to go to a settlement? Nyeheheh! Silly companion! There's no settlements anywhere near here!" I think. "Do not fret! My house is near here! It's why I was able to follow you all so quickly" She didn't bother the fact that she was pretty much stalking them.

Dante was practically all ready to take the pink haired girl under his wing, figuratively speaking. "That girl is just a fucking kid... Why did you do tha-?" The man was silently agreeing with the whole deal that Dante would watch the kid and deal with her. The blonde-haired demon was cut off after he caught the simple duck squeaky toy, a small and serene appearing on his face. His face shifted to a silent glare towards Myremon, feeling a strange rage clouding his thought. Naive? 'He's treating you like you're stupid. He's just the safe as those people that chased your parents away from the city.' He pushed all these thoughts away, knowing them not to be true despite his mind saying otherwise. "N-no, that's wrong..." He mumbled to himself before Myremon caught his attention by pulling away his glove and gauntlet.

He didn't speak. He didn't move. The half-demon was just awestruck. It looked like a demon's weaponized hand but it was so corrupted. What was this? Who did this. He looked angered an shocked yet still. He wanted to react. Why couldn't he react?

As Myremon walked away, he just tryed his hardest to shake it off. Dante gave the rubber duck back over to the little girl. Dante's smile went back to his face when Ash began to describe his hair as like a duck's hair. "Yeah! I guess it is." He stated while grabbing onto his plethora of hair in the back, the mass amount of blonde locks being surprisingly soft. Dante's eye widened as the girl transformed her hand into something that really reminded him of a special someone. Jasper. She was able to do that! His bloodline was able to do that! "Well I'll be damned. You really are a demon!" He stated excidely, happy to see somebody like him. He would've shown how he could do the same to his body but considering it took up a large amount of his energy. This was mostly because he didn't transform his body like that all too often.

Wait. House? They could use that! "I mean your family should really know about us first, but we are in need of some kind of settlement." He attempted to persuade the kid, before coming up with something he thought to be full proof. "I'll let you latch onto my hair if you guide us." He bargained, hoping that he could get his friends some shelter for the night.

Ann watched as Ash fumbled around. She was just a clumsy child. That's all she had to be. There was no real threat present in her actions. She just talked big. Ann had done that herself once, but nobody took her seriously. She had kept her distance because she had half expected her to morph into some horrific beast. But she hadn't done anything like that yet so she pushed thoughts of Ash being a monster and stepped away from the back of the group. Her ears twitched as something buzzed by. She swatted it away and looked back to Ash.

Myremon looked at the girl's hand, unphased. He sighed, sticking his staff on the ground, then crossing his arms. "Listen here, Ash. I'm not your companion. I'm not your lackey. I'm not your friend. You're only alive because this guy," He pointed at Dante, "Took responsibility for you. If anything, you're a liability. Now, Either you do not say a word towards me, or I'll make sure that my magic will be the last thing you will see in your life." He plucked the staff from the ground and yet again, turned to Veronica. "It's your call. I won't object against a group's decision, but keep in mind that my trust in this one is less than zero."

She looked amazed when Ash showed her giant hand. This was just a child and that gauntlet was huge. She turned to Myremon. "Mair. Look, I get that you're pissed, I get that you suffered through a lot. I cannot imagine what you've been through but you know what happened in this world, You saw what happened to Ion and Elena. This world is corrupted, corrupting the poor inhabitants of this world. This kid could be a victim from that." She took a deep breath and continued. "Look, we'll see where she takes us. You said it yourself that you couldn't detect any settlements here. If what this kid says is true, then we at least got shelter. It's already noon." She took another deep breath then looked at Myremon seriously. "Mair. I can understand why you can't bring yourself to trust this kid. But if you attack or god forbid KILL her, and she turns out to be innocent......then...." She didn't say anything for a few seconds then closed her eyes, sighed and turned to look at Ash, but said a few more words to Myremon. "It hurts me to see you like this Mair......" She announced to everyone. "My decision is that we should trust her and follow her to her house." She then spoke to Ash. "Alright kid. Lead the way."

Ash

"Nyeheheh....I'll take you up on your offer another time. For now I shall walk and lead you all like...like....like uh....Leedar. Yeah." She then inched a bit closer to Dante, whispering into his ear while looking at Myremon "Quite the grumpy companion huh? Nyeheheh..." She turned to Veronica. "Alright Snake girl! Follow me! I shall lead you all like a Leedar and bring you to my home! With Mr. Duck!" She held her rubber duck up high with one hand, then began marching off into the forest. "It is not far! Let me, the leedar, lead you there. Then I shall find out more about you! Like why a half demon came from the other world. Nyeheheheh." She entered the forest.

Veronica looked at the others. "Come on. Let's go." She then began walking behind Ash.

Dante didn't speak as Myremon pointed towards him, saying that he was the only reason Ash was even alive right now. He lowered his head, a faint shadow shrouding over his eyes as his wings unfurled. The large black to white ombre wings slightly curved inward around him and the child, like some kind of shield. while it was a small gesture, it spoke miles to how he felt about this half-demon girl, about the people who he believed fell victim to the ones who gave his race a bad name. The usually tall half demon was kneeling down to Ash's height during all of this. As Myremon turned back towards Ronnie, he let out a deep sigh.

He was trying to keep himself calm. Did he want to yell at the man at the top of his lungs how he will never forgive the man if he dares to slay someone 'pure' of his own kind? He did! But why? Myremon has every reason to be terrified and angered. If anything, Dante was acting on emotions alone. This was his friend. But why was just so infuriated?

He suddenly snapped out of it once Ash whispered in his ear though. It was even kind of strange how drastically came to a screeching halt in his mind. The blonde half-demon let out a hushed chuckle, covering over his mouth to conceal his dumbass smile. Demons. Naturally mischievous. "Don't worry about any of them kiddo. They're good people." He pushed out, wanting desperately to also say that he'll keep her safe. As Ash led the way to her house, Dante walked next to her. He was so curious to learn about this adventurous half-demon. "Hey, so can you fly kiddo? You don't seem to have any wings."

Ash
Current Location: The Forest ---> Ash's home

"Nope! But I do have wings!" She said, grabbing her jacket and taking it off for a moment, revealing really small wings. "See?" She put on her jacket once more and continued marching towards her home. "Tell me! Why are you apart of this group if you're a half demon? I thought only humans came from the other world." She asked Dante. After his response, she continued marching ahead, answering simple questions along the way, although at one moment her smile faltered for a moment.

30 minutes went by and they seemed to reach the end of the forest. "We're at my home!" She yelled, excitedly. She ran up ahead, quite fast, waiting for the others to get there. The sun blinded the heroes for a moment as the many trees in the forest had blocked out a lot of the sunlight. When they could see again, they saw Ash in front of a ruined village, looking back at them. "Welcome to my home!!!" She said, in a 'ta-dah!' pose. Her smile seemed a bit forced this time, a hint of sadness shown in her eyes. The village seemed like it had been destroyed a long time ago. Buildings were collapsed. Houses were broken and ruined. What seemed to have once been the town hall was now destroyed, the only thing that held it up was a few pillars and logs. Everything was in ruins except for one house near the town hall, which had some planks wedged between the holes in the house.

She followed Ash silently, thinking where this girl could live. She sort of regretted what she had said to Myremon but he looked dead serious when he threatened Ash. She had never seen him like that and even though she knew he must have experienced a lot of horrible things, she couldn't just let him kill somebody just because they look like a demon commander. She didn't want to risk having an innocent life taken.

30 minutes passed and they seemed to reach the end of the forest. Ash yelled that they were at her home and she ran up ahead. "Hold on kid." She said as began walking faster. She sun blinded her for a moment but when she could see again, she saw a ruined village. She looked at Ash. Did she really live here? In this destroyed village?

After Veronica's threat, Myremon could only stare at ler silently. She didn't know the horrors of this land, and how letting your guard down for even a second could cost his life. He followed the group, eventually reaching the destroyed town. He surveyed the environment, the ruined buildings except for one, a boarded up house near the town hall. She lived here, probably before the town's destruction. He felt a pang of guilt, to threat the girl like that, but at the same time, he was still wary. He turned to Ann. "Did you administer anything to Lily? When we stop, you should take a look at her health. I'm not the best one to check one's wellbeing."

Dante had a confused look on his face when the small girl revealed her tiny wings. When he was about 10, his mother had to basically stop him from flying up to the ceiling. Maybe she was just a bit of a late bloomer? Hopefully, nothing happened that would have tarnished her wings growth progress. But he wanted to push away these questions of worry and make this kid happy. So he asked with a small smile before she could ask the next question, "Do you want to fly?" But then a child asked the next question, one he figured the girl deserved the true answer on. "Well you see kiddo, I'm here to kinda help people like you. Demons and demonic people, in general, got a bad rep back home because of how things turned out here. My papa and mama were chased out of their home because of it. But we managed! I live in the woods, just like you." Dante explained, hands moving with his talking as to get his point across. A glint of sadness seemed to appear in his eyes when he mentioned Valkaria and Meph being chased out by an angry mob, gladly glossing over the fact that his father was attacked in the process.

As the excitable little girl yelled that they were at her place, he was the first one to run forward with the Ash. He had a look of joy on his face, one of hope. Were there more of his people in this village? But Dante was also the first one to stop dead in his tracks like someone suddenly stepping on the brakes. He had a distraught look on his face as his now distressed golden eyes scattered around the scene aimlessly. Was he holding back tears? "Oh, Lord... Lil' fella, what happened here? Where's your family?" He queried with a troubled expression on his face as he slowly strolled through the ravaged village.

"There are none." Myremon answered before Ash. "This place was destroyed long since we came here, by the looks of it. That's why I couldn't find any settlements nearby." He approached a destroyed wall, dusting it before examining it. "Claw marks. The town was most likely attacked by demons, probably, but there are many other reasons for this city to be destroyed." He looked around. "It's a wonder that the girl wasn't found yet, many demons like to survey their 'artwork', to to speak." He started walking back towards the entrance to the village. "I'll draw some protection runes. It'll make things harder to unwanted guests. You guys go ahead. Don't forget that we still need to find Eris."

Ignoring Myremon's response to Dante she answered "Well I've never seen my mom and my dad left a long time ago. But don't worry, he promised to return." Another seemingly forced smile. "Did you know that he was human? But not from your other world." She skipped alongside Dante "Don't mind the claw marks and stuff heheh. They've been there for a long time." She turned to Veronica and Ann "Come on! Lemme show you my house!" and then turned to Myremon "Alright my friend companion!" She then skipped over to the house that had a pretty messy repair job. Planks wedged between holes, still leaving smaller holes for rain to get in, the door seemed to have some dirt stuck to it, covering the holes. "Annnndd here's my house!" Another 'ta-dah!' pose. "Come inside!" She yelled and she ran inside.

"Kid-" She wanted to speak to Ash but couldn't as she ran to skip alongside Dante. "...." She thought it was better if she stayed quiet. The kid didn't seem to understand the horrible situation she was in and she didn't want to bring her to reality. "N-nice place you got here." She commented. "Hey Ann, I'll set down Lily inside the house, So you can check on her and stuff" She said as she followed Ash inside. Poor girl.

Dante's expression looked so shocked yet empty as his eyes were glued forward, mouth left slightly agape. How could Ash live healthfully in this environment? It was insane, if not impossible? The girl. despite her childish nature, seemed strong and powerful for her age. Did she have to hunt for everything? Dante then mumbled under his breath while his fingers grazed the scratch marks without thinking, perhaps enough for Veronica to hear. "Only the Djinn could do this much damage... I knew that we weren't responsible for this..." He managed to snap himself out of it again, attention turning towards Ash again as he forced himself to seem okay. He didn't want to subject this kid to his current shocked state.

The half-demon's eyes ran around the surprisingly tidy room. Though the repair job could use some major work, but nothing he couldn't help. Well, he built a shed with his father once and helped him upgrade the house. This shouldn't be much different. Stuffed duck and all. He let himself in, wondering where to start off the conversations with this girl again. Then he remembered something his charismatic tiefling mother once said. "Ask people about the things that they want to tell you." He out in a small smile in an attempt to calm himself down, pointing to the stuffed duck with his wing. "What's the name of this guy right here?" He asked curiously, wanting the kid to be happy

As soon as Myremon finished carving the last sigil on the wall, the area round the house glowed a pale blue for a moment, vanishing. It would cloak the residence from any unwanted guests, and if someone managed to pierce the illusion, at least warn Myremon about it. Sighing, he picked up his staff and entered the house, warily. "The defenses are set. We are safe for the night." He stopped at the doorstep, surveying the environment, until something out of place caught his attention. A book, or notebook, he wasn't sure. He picked up from the ground, and froze for a second, reading the name on the cover. He flew across the room, stopping right in front of the residence's owner. "I'm going to ask this only once. Where did you get this?" Before Veronica could voice any kind of protest, he just turned the cover to her. The name in the cover of the diary felt like daggers in his heart.

Veronica was busy checking around the house. The kitchen still looked sort of nice. There we only a few pieces of food left. The house had a chimney. It seems that it hasn't been used for a while. The house had a second floor but before she could go and check it out, Myremon flew across the room and stopped right in front of Ash. "Mair-" before she could say anything else, he turned the cover of the book to her.

A Hero's Journal ^-^

Name: Celestia Saia

Celestia? What? Without hesitation, one of her snake went and grabbed the journal right out of Myremon's hand, putting it gently in Veronica's hands.
Veronica looked at it and opened it.

Page 1

I decided to buy this journal to write down the things that happen to me in this journey.
A few days ago I was separated from my friends by a giant blast that nearly hit us. I haven't been able to find them after that.
Hopefully it's just me that's separated and all 4 of them are safe. In my journey to find them, I came across this town that was just outside the forest.
After I told them that I had come from Darkene as a hero to cleanse this world, they offered me a living space and any help that they could give. Pretty nice people. I would go and continue looking for them but the few demons I fought back there, they put up a tough fight and I didn't come out of the fight uninjured. I'll stay here and train until I've decided that I am strong enough to deal with the demons. I hope that my friends are sa-

"Oh? Her? That's Ducky. My Dad named it for me." She responded to Dante as she ran over to the big plush and picked it up. She wrapped her arms around it.
"I got it from my Dad a year ago." She said. "....Wait. I brought you all here so I could learn about you all! Not the other way around! So-" Before she tried to do what she wanted to do when she brought them here, Myremon came flying straight towards her. "What is it my faithful companion?" She said in a heroic tone. "Have you brought information to me?" She asked. Myremon showed her the journal she had found and asked her where she got it. "Oh. That. I found it when I was walking around a few days ago. Seemed pretty dirty and stuff but it's paper so it could be used as fuel for fire in the fire place! So I can stop eating semi-raw food!"

"So that's what happened..." Myremon said after snatching the diary back from Veronica's hands and reading the only intact page. He placed the burnt diary on the table and sighed, adjusting the mask on his face. "I was there when that happened, and the same thing happened to me." He told the story of what happened when he was captured. The "betrayal", the capture, and the torture, the seemingly endless torture that made him the twisted being the heroes first saw in the temple. His voice was strained, and his feet clutched tight. "That's why I distrust everyone in this realm." He briefly looked at Ash, then turned away again. "We need to find them. I need to know that the rest of them are still alive, even if corrupted." He sighed, going back to the diary and gingerly turning the pages. He wouldn't dare rip a single piece of paper apart.

She paid attention for the first few minutes, up until the capture, then starting dozing off. She came back to reality when he said that he distrusts everyone. "Nyeheheh. Don't fret companion. Your other friends are still alive. Those same humans came to this town and picked up a red haired girl. They seemed pretty happy and stuff and then began speaking about some Mier moon. Never heard of a moon like that before. Anyways, they left after that." She said, setting the duck back down on a chair. A growl was soon heard. "Oh...." She hugged her stomach. "I forgot I haven't eaten anything for 2 days." The growl seemed to originate from her stomach. A growl of hunger.

As she was turning pages, Myremon took the journal from her. She didn't really bother to grab it back. She was just glad that Celestia managed to escape safe and sound from the blast that separated her group. She was also glad to hear that the others managed to find her. She heard Ash's stomach growl and went over to her backpack that she had set against a wall. "Good news Ash. I have some food for ya." She gave the girl a small box of food, which Ash immediately began devouring. She then went over to Myremon. "I'm sorry you had to endure so much Mair...I can't imagine how much pain you went through..." Myremon flipped over to the last page, then went to the second to last page as it seemed that the 75th page was a continuation of page 74. She read it along with him.

I couldn't imagine what I saw after I returned to this town after a few months. Complete destruction. None of the happy villagers that gave me such good hospitality are here.
I had dropped this journal when Luna, Ion and Xaz found me and I can't believe that I managed to find it once again...although it's a bit damaged.
I'm writing this down so in case anybody finds this, they know what has happened.

These past few months, We've been travelling around Yrin. Fighting demons, adventuring into dungeons and becoming stronger. We've also encountered some... old friends as well. Unfortunately, We encountered Elena and Lance. Both of them were corrupted, but not in the normal way that you'd think, big corrupted monster that no way resembles what they looked like before, no. They still looked somewhat the same, just a few minor differences like clothing and hairstyle....and personality. Lance seems to still be his lazy self though But Elena...We found out something big. That...isn't Elena. Well. It is her body and all but...She's possessed. Some sort of corrupted spirit is controlling her. Not in the traditional sense, no. The spirit just seems to have some control over her personality and actions. So Elena's spirit is still in control...Just...influenced by the other spirit. Though I've seen moments where the spirit takes full control. It has a....sadistic and somewhat masochistic personality... Ion has begun practicing some magic to see if he can somehow get rid of the spirit and return Elena back to normal.

We managed to kill one of the 8 demon commanders. It was a good day that day. Seeing the smiles and tears of happiness on people's faces as they realized that their kingdom was now free from the demon's control.

We still haven't managed to find Myremon. I'm really worried about him. It's been 5 months since his disappearance and we still haven't been able to find him. Who knows where he might be... I just hope that he's somewhere safe. Like...Skiyro. It's one of the biggest kingdoms that has been standing strong ever since the attack of the demons in this world.

We're currently heading off for the next demon commander, Sylvia. Hopefully we can defeat her and survive for the next 7 months so we can greet the new heroes that come from Darkene. The more the better right?

Now...If the reading this is one of those heroes and we're not with you, I afraid that something might have happened to us.
I doubt it though. We're strong. From what we heard from one of the minions of the demon commander that we killed, Sylvia was the weakest of all 8. We'll kill her and that'll be 2 down, 6 left to go.

I'm really worried about my sister, Veronica. She's surviving all alone in Darkene. I hope she left and went to live in another big city. She's young but I have confidence in her. I hope that by now, she's living a happy life somewhere else. I promise that I will defeat the demon lord and come back to Darkene. To be with Veronica again.

I'm running out of space... yet there's so much more I want to say.
I'll be leaving this journal near the town hall, in hopes that someone can find it one day

Veronica teared up. Celestia really loved her and was worried about her well-being. Celestia was hoping that she was still in the other world, living a peaceful life.

Dante had about as much of a clue as to what was going on with the previous heroes as the other half-demon in the room. He began to tune out everything that was going on around him, talk of the previous heroes that came before them. He felt a small yet sharp pain of jealousy in his heart, like a dagger stabbing him ever so slowly. A faint green energy began to form around his usual happy and joyous eyes. Something that could be easily looked over unless someone wasn't directly looking at his eyes. 'Why don't I know about any of these heroes? They were born with the privilege of being human. Or anything but demonic. If it wasn't for those Djinns, my family would've known about what was going on in Darkene. I would've known what was going! We deserve it! My whole race, my family, I'm just as important as them!'

Envy. During this moment of complete jealousy, the half-demon sat completely still. The thoughts of envy continued silently until he heard a sound that cut through it like a knife. The demon girl who he considered his new little sister's stomach growling after saying that she had not eaten for two days now. This snapped him out of his jealousy-fueled and unwanted thoughts immediately, going to dig around in his satchel.

"Hey, kiddo. I bet it's been a while since you've had some sweets." He said in a happy yet calm tone while hiding a small container behind his back and wings. He then kneeled down to the kid on his knees, pulling the box in front of him and opening it up. It was the box of brownies his mother had baked and packed him. They always managed to remind him of home. "These are some brownies my mama baked me before I went off here. Take one, kiddo." He offered up while taking one of the chocolatey baked goods out of the box and handing it to the half-demon.

Ann sat with Lily and watched over her. She put her hand on her forehead and checked for a fever. She didn't seem to have one. She was worried for the girl's safety at this point. She hadn't woken up yet. She decided to work on some things that may help them later. She watched the others explore the village with Ash. She wished she was as brave as they all were, but she wasn't one for all that adventure and danger like they were. She looked back down at what she was doing and waited for Lily to wake up and see if she needed to do anything to help her.

Myremon punched the table after reading the words. Luckily, he caught on before he could destroy Ash's table, and addressed her. "It's not 'Mier Moon.' It's Myremon. Me." He shook his head, trying his best to stave off the anger and frustration of his situation. "I'll go hunting. There's plenty of game in this forest, if I recall correctly, and I'll look out to see any herbs to help Lily. I hope she wakes up soon." Even before someone could intervene, he added. "I need to be alone for a second. I..." He trailed off while leaving through the door. Flying away, he started to try and clear his mind. He could feel the corruption crawling in.

"Hmm?" She was stuffing her mouth with the food that was in the box that Veronica gave her, but then looked at Dante who offered her a brownie. "mmmm!" She grabbed it "tphank you" She said, her mouth full of food. She swallowed and devoured the brownie in a single bite. "Delicious...." She then continued eating out of the box of food that Veronica gave her. "Uggh....I forgot what it was like being full..." She said with a satisfied smile.

Wiping off her tears, she looked at Myremon. He was understandably angry but went to stop him once it seemed like he was going to break the table. Thankfully, he stopped by himself. "Mair. Yell if anything happens" She said to him as he left the house. She grabbed Celestia's journal and placed it into her backpack. She would like to know what happened to Celestia while she was here and how this town was before it got destroyed. She looked back at Ash, who was devouring all the food she received. She smiled. They've managed to help 1 person out. She looked back at the door. Should she follow Myremon? She was certain that if she just followed behind him silently, he couldn't possibly notice.
