Fantasy The World of Od

Caym stood up and held his hand up in front of him, he raised an eyebrow almost questioning the sanity of the man standing in front of him "we aren't going anywhere yet, how's your head?" He put his hand down and onto the handles o his swords sitting in his belt. "The harpy might still be out there, and I'm not fighting them alone again"

Harper stared at the man blankly. "What do you mean? Of course you won't take them on alone," he said cheerfully, apparently ignoring the question about his head. He thought he saw the man give a small sigh of relief, before adding "because I'll be going with you this time!" He stood triumphantly, arms akimbo, fist in his hips, patting his sword faithfully with one hand. "We have to go save the girls, right? Stars know what kind of danger they are in, and we can't abandon them. I'll go alone if need be!" He thrust a fist into the air, making a face that he assumed looked courageous and defiant, but instead looked simply ridiculous. "Fare thee well, Caym! May we meet again, this world or the next!" He turned towards the street and ran like a madman for where he knew they would be. The forest.

Caym laughed a little and turned watching him run off. "Is this guy for real?" He expected his friend yopi to squeak or chirp in response but didn't hear anything. He looked to his shoulder and sighed right he's with her, why did I send him to her again? He just shrugged. Usually he didn't send yopi to follow any one. And even when he did yopi usually didn't comply. He couldn't wrap that around his head. But pushed it off to be pondered later. He ran off towards the mad man and got his swords ready "hey! Wait up!"

Relief flooded her face at the sight of the blind girl, and a smile broke onto her face. For a moment she was able to relax, and her shoulders ached from holding herself together so stiffly. Honestly, she'd begun to worry that the girl had gotten injured herself, or lost. "Well, she seems to have stopped bleeding, and from what I can tell, she's still alive. That's about it. Follow me, I'll need you to help so I can wrap those bandages around her." Gently, she touched the other girl's hand lightly so she knew which direction to follow, and headed towards the one injured and passed out. "I'll need you to hold her up in a more seated position, alright?" Kiran took the bandages from the young woman, moving behind the butterfly girl and pulling her up into a seated position, "Okay, just place your hands here, and don't let go." She reached out to place the blind girl's hands on the shoulders of the other girl, and hoped it wasn't too late.

Aria frowned slightly but let the girl position her. She knew very well where the injured one was lying. How was the healthy one supposed to know, she's reacting how she should she she sees a blind person. "I got it" aria said lightly, positioning herself so that the girl sat upright "when she is wrapped up I feel like we should try to move her to my camp, it's the closet form of shelter here, we don't want to be out in the open at night"

Kiran nodded faintly, her eyes focusing moreso on the task at hand. At the moment she just hoped this didn't hurt her too much. Wrapping the bandages about the young, injured woman, ensuring the bandages were tight and secure over the wounds. A small grimace as she watched a little blood seep through. Once she was done, she tied the ends of the bandages into a knot and securing it so that the bandages would hold and not end up getting loose. "Alright, that should do it." Her gaze shifted skyward, wondering if it would really get too dark before they reached the village. "So, where is this cave of yours?"

"Not too far from here actually. It's in the south east direction if you want to get there fast. I think I have some food left for you and your little friend to eat" she gently laid the girl back down and stood up getting her staff, if you could carry her and her toy we will get there before sunset, or if it's already sunset well get there not too long after." She turned on her heel to point herself in the direction, knowing that bends her was south.

Giving a small nod, she glanced at the bunny and a wary look passed over her features. Due to her first experience with it, she wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of having to touch it again. Frowning slightly, she gingerly grabbed the stuffed rabbit and placed it on top of the girl. Just to avoid having to touch it for long unless she absolutely needed to. Then with that done, she scooped the young butterfly woman into her arms and stood up. It took her a moment to get back on her feet, and she peered down at the albino ferret. "Come on, we're going now." Now that she knew Caym's ferret was following her, she intended on keeping it near. If it got lost while she was with his pet, she'd feel guilty even if it wasn't entirely her fault.

Harper was terribly lost. He was not sure how, he just was. Upon exiting the city, the path he had taken led him in a direction he knew for sure was not the right one. The forest was not even in sight on this path, when it had been just outside of the city. Instead, he saw mountain ranges spanning the horizon. "Must have taken the wrong alley road," Harper mumbled to himself. He reentered the city, took the other pat, and stopped short when he arrived on the other side of town. Mountain ranges, the exact same mountain ranges. "Odd, I've never been this lost before." He left the city and began to walk around the walls in a circle. Yet, whenever he looked up at the landscape, the mountain ranges were still there, icy caps gleaming in the fading sun. "Very odd," he muttered, returning his eyes to the road under his feet, "It must be some sort of enchantment. But, why? Who could have done this?" He stopped short, then glared at the mountain ranges once again. "Oh, so you've finally found me, have you?"

He placed his hands on his walking cane and his sword, saying out loud, "I guess I have to come in there and find you, then, don't I? Very well," he looked behind him, only to find that he was not standing next to the city wall of Motley, where he had been only moments before. "Only one direction to turn." He re-shouldered his pack, tightened his grip on his cane, and set off for the mountains.

Yopi got up and scampered over to kiran jumping up onto her arm and climbing up onto his shoulder. His tail sitting around her neck for support.

Aria started to walked in the direction of her cave in silence, as she grew up she found that certain paths walked before had different sounds when she walked. So she listened for the path that she took before. After a few moments she did, smiling when she heard the familiar crunch of leaves. "We're almost there" she gave a nod and continued on her walk.

"Thank you, Miss Paige!" Chickadee said as a friendly-looking old lady handed her an odd-looking fruit. The young lady scurried off with the fruit and bit into it. Hm. Weirdly crunchy with a very tangy and somewhat spicy flavor. It was good to her though. Then again, she thought all food tasted good. It was food. What was there not to like? She continued eating as she headed into a building. Chickadee rolled her eyes as a man began scolding her.

"How many times have I told you not to bring food in here, Miss Black?" The man said and went up to her.

"I'm almost done with it, Mr. Johnson. Calm down," she responded and quickly finished the fruit. "Now! I believe that today is the day I get to travel to Fopindale to deliver stuff, yes?" she asked, an excited tone in her voice. She smiled widely when the man nodded and gave her the stuff she would be delivering. Quickly, Chickadee carefully put the things in her bag then headed out. Today was the day she got to travel farther away, so she was certainly excited.

Furattā let out a little whimper as she was moved around. She was still sleeping though. The bunny did not shock Kiran that time, but it didn't look very happy still. It seemed irritated. Furattā hugged the toy in her sleep and began to cough. The blood had not yet stopped coming out of her wounds. It was still slowing, but it didn't seem even close to stopping.

Akieta sat on the rocks at the shore of her little lonesome cove and watched the sky for the setting sun. Oh how she longed for the shining moon and the feeling of company around her. These long days of waiting made the nights seem so short. Although she does entertain her time in the shipwrecks, she loved the little town of pirates and sailors. The shipwrecks were interesting to her, they just never changed. They were empty shells of the past, and after a while held nothing new to offer. The land however, the land was constantly changing as well as the people on it. New things awaited her every night and greeted them eagerly. Finally the setting sun arrived and the mermaid dove into the water flicking her tail to the ports of this strange town. She emerged from the dark blue water and waited under the docks for the light of the moon

Chickadee quickly realized she had forgotten something. She needed to pacl things for the trip! And she needed her messenger bird hat and badge! She flew back to her small house and went inside. The girl got a travelers bag and packed it was food and water and a few changes of clothes before rooting around for her badge and hat. She soon found them and put on the hat then the badge. Both had an envolope with wings on them. Chickadee looked in the mirror smiling then grabbed both the bag with the packages and her travel bag before flying out of the house, locking the door on the way.

Temporary Hold

The activity level on this RP has somehow ground to a screeching halt, so, for the time being, I'm putting a PAUSE on the action in here. We're gonna stockpile up people who are interested in playing, and places for characters to go, and things for them to do. Then, once we have a little bit of Oomph!, we'll get things going all at once, and hopefully pulling down the floodgates will let the current carry us for a while :)

Blondie was sneaking out of her bedroom. It was night time of course, but it was a little earlier then she usually went out. She saw a huge fluffy rabbit while she was reading and got distracted. She had promised herself that morning that she wouldn't get into trouble, look where that ended up. Once she was out the window she fluttered through the trees fallowing the white rabbit. 'Well now! This is just silly! Fallowing a white rabbit!' She thought to herself. When she saw an arrow shoot straight through the poor rabbit, she dropped into the leaves on the ground. She hated seeing animals die. Then she felt heavy footsteps of a human or some sort of creature romping through the woods. A tall, very tall creature picks up the white rabbit and stuffs it in a satchel. Blondie shakes in fear of being stepped on, but then thinks for a moment and says to herself "This could be the answer to my payers." She flutters up right in front of the being and screams "Hello!? Can you hear me!?"

Xerno really hated his situation right now. He had somehow gotten lost in some forest.. "I hate my life..." He muttered. He grabbed his staff and let out a bright flash of blue light while screaming "HELP! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME! I'M LOST!" over and over again. He sighed to himeself, "I seriously need to buy a compass in the next town." He muttered.

Laika sighed and dropped down in her chair behind the bar of the inn.

"Fenri I'm boorrreeed!"

He looked up from the glass he was cleaning at his sister, playing with her nails with a petulant pout on her face.

"Go do something then?" He said looking back down at the glasses.

"Like what?" She huffed, looking around at the empty bar.

"I don't know, maybe go do your job and clean up the rooms a bit? It's not as if there's anyone in there." She sighed and stood up.

"Are there no errands that need doing, letters need sending, anything?" She said, leaning on the bar, her head just reaching over.

"Tell you what, go out to the forest and get some herbs, we need to replenish the med kit. Whilst you're at it, do some shopping as well. We may not have any tenants now but with the annual adventurers meet we'll soon have them pouring in. Hopefully."

Laika rolled her eyes and took some coins from the draw before setting out.

Chickadee said her farewells to the people she knew, which was mostly everybody, in the city then continued on her way out of the cities borders. She looked around then checked her magic map. It showed her position in the country and which way she was facing. "Okay, so I go west," the girl mumbled to herself then began flying west.

A little creature suddenly popped it's head out of her bag. It was a bunny with ridiculously long floppy ears. "Barry!" Chickadee said in surprise and took the bunny out of her bag. "I told you Miss Paige was going to take care of you!" she told the living fluff ball. Barry just licked her nose and she sighed. "Fine, you can come with me," she said and carried the bunny as she flew

Xerno looked around and sighed, a few hours passed and he was still lost in the forest. There were a few time he cried and a few times he almost did something he would regret because of boredom. "I really wish that there was a way out..." He grabbed a pouch from behind him and pulled out a cookie. He thought while he ate and suddenly had an idea. He picked up a stick, carved runes into it with his knife and charged it with his magic. "I hope this works, point me to anywhere I can drink." the stick spun a few times until it stopped, he followed it and it led him to an inn. "Hello?" he asked while opening the door.

Fenri looked up at the sound of the door, expecting his sister back.

"You weren't gone very lo- oh!"

He cut himself off as he caught sight of the person who had walked through the door.

"I apologise, I thought you were my sister," He said quickly, "Welcome to the Green Dragon Inn!" Fenri smiled welcomingly.

Xerno walked in, his staff mounted on his back. "I need a drink, please, I've been lost in a forest for a long time, I might not have any money on me but I will enchant something for you in exchange." He pleaded as he took a seat.

~~~~~Environ (Arc 1, Part 1)~~~~~
There is a foul wind moving in the south, many have given sightings of strange haunts that have come down from the mountains. Villages in the foothills found after months of no contact to the outside world, empty, destroyed, abandoned. Only destruction and death, and an eerie pall falls over the ruins, like an ominous fog. And now, a lone wanderer, a survivor, makes his way to the northern cities, to warn them of the coming terrors.
(This is the beginning of first Adventure Arc, I will continue it a little later on, so keep an eye out for more posts marked like this.)
Drake Funrus was walking through the woods. It was raining, and he knew that he was close to his target. He could see a bar in the distance. The lights were on, and it looked like a party was going on. He didn’t mind if he interrupted it. If the man that killed his daughter was there then he would kill him. He had no moral code, cause when Claudius Gildenhime decided that he wanted to kidnap and kill his daughter. Everything was thrown out the window when it came to Claudius Gildenhime.
He was about 100 yards from the entrance. It began to rain harder. It didn’t bother drake. He had been through storms, blizzards, and earthquakes. This was nothing to him. He drew closer to the door. The rain was starting to come down harder. He walked up the stairs, as it began to thunder.
The door burst open, and lighting struck behind drake casting a silhouette. His eyes were like diamonds, shinning in the darkness. Everyone in the bar stopped being joyous when he walked in. He moved his head slowly as if he was looking at everyone. He began to walk.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud.
Every step he took was adding to the suspense. He could tell that everyone in the inn was looking at him, but he didn’t care. He only cared about finding Claudius. He walked over to the bar. The inn began to celebrate again. No one was there so he moved to the fire place that was on the right side of the building.
A waitress walked over and asked. “Would you like anything to drink?” Drake only replied with. “ The best dwarves ale that you have.”She gasped. It was the most expensive thing that they had there. “750 gold pieces.” She said in a high pitch voice. He pulled out a bag of gold coin and threw it on the table. “All plus a tip.” He hated to spend his gold, but for some good ale, he knew it was worth it.
She walked out with amberstone. One of the best dwarven ales ever made. It took a master brewer to brew the ale in the best ale halls. He took his first sip. If it was 3000 coin, he would pay for it. It tasted of hops, and barley. With a small hint of wheat in it. It was a master piece all in itself. But he needed to get back on task. He needed to ask around for claudius. He knew he was a few days away from catching up to him.
He walked over towards a group of people and asked. “Have you seen a guy around here about my height, skinnier, and a bit jumpy pass thought here?” He said in his low tone voice. He sounded angry, like a guy who,lost something and would do anything to get it back.
