Fantasy The World of Od

Caym raised his eyebrow and glanced briefly at the strange Mage "well. I wouldn't exactly say we fried them. You barely did anything to them, by now they've either bled to death or is dying of exhaustion." He put his sword down and held his hand in front of his face making some fire dance upon his finger tips. It was mesmerizing to him. He shook hi head and looked back towards the man "at least let me sharpen your sword"

Aria smiled hearing the screeches fade in the distance. She out her bow away and slowly walked towards the girl it was hunting, hearing the soft whimpers a look of concern over came her face. She knelt down and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, not knowing of the injuries "it's gone now you're ok"

It didn't take her long to reach the edge of the forest, and she scanned the forest to see if she was nearby, by any chance. Of course, she just couldn't be that lucky, now could she? There was, of course, no sign of the girl, nor the harpy. But she did overhear a far off, muffled sound of screeching. It sounded deep within the forest, which wasn't exactly good. This meant that whatever was happening, it'd take her some time before she managed to get to them. Ignoring a spark of frustration, she quickened her steps and moved swiftly through the forest, following the direction she heard the screeching come from. "Miss, are you out there?!" Kiran raised her voice as loud as she could, wondering if it'd reach her ears. Of course, there was a very small chance that she'd hear her, or even know she was the one being called for. But she had to try something, didn't she? She dodged and pushed aside branches in her path, wondering where in this forest she'd end up finding the bunny girl.

Furattā jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder, almost thinking it was the monster. She winced again from her back, which felt like it was burning all over. She let out some more whimpers and some tears bgan coming out of her eyes. Why couldn't this day just end? Furattā buried her face into her bunny toy and tried to hold back her pained whimpers. "O-okay..." she managed out and closed her eyes.

Yopi scampered quickly behind kiran. He ran as fast as he could trying to keep up with the girl eventually catching onto her skirt and climbing up to her shoulder.

Aria frowned and removed her hand, she inhaled deeply the smell of blood filling the air. "Are you hurt?" She asked this with a frantic tone, harpy wounds weren't the easier to heal, either way any wound needed to be treated right away "how bad is it?

Furattā let out a bitter chuckle at the question. "Yeah...sort of," she told the lady. Her words were becoming a bit slurred as she spoke. The back of her dress was becoming soaked in blood. "I-it gotmy back with...it claw," Furattā continued. "I feel dizz..." she said in a softer voice. After she stopped talking, she suddenly flopped onto her side. Her eyes closed as she went unconscious.

"Sorry," Harper said to the man's offer, "she's actually rather picky. Last time someone tried to sharpen her, his files snapped and then his hammer caught fire. I don't want to risk another incident with her at the moment, we have enough problems as it is right now." He looked at the sword strapped to his waist, then at the smith, "I'm surprised she even let you touch her at all. That's the first time that someone hasn't even electrocuted or got their hair set ablaze when they picked her up." He gave his sword a thoughtful pat. He really didn't know if he could tell anyone why this sword was so special to him, why he had to be the one to carry it. It was such a long story, and those who heard it didn't believe it, so it was better left unsaid. "Well then, seeing as we have been brought together, let's start this properly." He reached out an open hand to the man, "The name is Harper, the Wandering Wizard."

To her it felt like this search would no doubt be hard, like finding a needle in a hay stack. Especially as it was just her at the moment, looking for another girl in a rather large forest. But hopefully, as long as she could keep in the direction of where she'd last heard the harpy's screech, she'd find her soon. Sticks and leaves crunched and snapped beneath her feet, stealth and silence not being her main concern at the moment. Here and there small animals would get scared out of their hiding spots, and she'd briefly watch them scamper and run from her. It seemed there was more life living in this forest then she'd previously been aware of. Tossing this from her thoughts, she focused on the task at hand. In the corner of her eye, she saw a rather large and bird-like creature seeming near death, and moving rather slowly and jerkily. Perhaps this meant she was closer to where ever the girl was. The sight made her feel uncertain, wondering what the fate of the girl had been, if the harpy was so torn up.

Aria heard a sudden thud on the ground. She dropped to her knees and felt around for the girl, her hand landing on a soft toy which she tossed to the side. Her hand landed on the cheek of the girl, she was out cold. She felt for a pulse and eventually positioned her so she could pick her up and bring her to the camp which aria lived. She couldn't tell the age but with the stuffed animal she believed it was a little girl. So with her feet she felt around again for the toy and picked it up putting it in her arms along with the girl.

Furattā eye shot back open as her back was touched. She cried out and quickly wiggled out of the lady's arms and om the ground. She got back on her feet and took the bunny toy back. The girl swayed and braced herself against a tree, trying to regain her balance. It didn't seem to work though. Furattā held her head a little and started taking deep breaths and sank back into a sitting position.

She moved about and around some trees, and spotted the young woman, but she was being carried by another woman. For a moment she hesitated, and surveyed the area around her. It seemed to her that a battle of sorts had just recently taken place around here, which may explain the injured harpy she'd seen earlier. Then she headed towards the two, remembering that she'd kind of promised to bring the girl back to scatter brain. Her eyes widened when she saw the butterfly girl break from the other, and she quickened her footsteps towards the one carrying the bunny. "Are you alright? You don't look too good. I saw you in the village earlier..." As an after thought, she quickly added, "My name is Kiran."

"I-I'm just trying to help, don't be afraid" she nodded then heard another voice and set of foot steps.

Furattā let her eyes droop again. Instead of the pain from her back diminishing like most injuries did, it was just starting to burn more. Maybe this was the world's way of punishing her for not going with her "guardian's" wishes. Karma. She opened her eyes a crack at the new voice and lifted her head up. "Hi..." was all Furattā could say. She heard the other girl, but she was too confused and in pain to actually respond. Her eye closed again.

She hesitated and then gripped her shoulders lightly, peering behind the young woman and her eyes widened. A sick feeling rose up in her and she looked away quickly as she gathered her thoughts. That was a lot of blood and she had no ribbons to spare as she'd wrapped them around scatter brain earlier. Her gaze flickered to the other young woman nearby, and quickly noted that she was blind. For a moment, she bit her lip and then asked "Do you have a camp nearby? Or at least perhaps some sort of bandages? It seems she's lost quite a lot of blood..." Kiran was hesitant to simply carry her though, as she'd seen how the bunny girl had broken away from the blind girl for carrying her. Not only that, but if she was moved, she might end up just losing more blood. So she settled for gently laying her down on the ground, and waited for the other girl's response as she tried to figure out how to help. As she sat there, she became aware of tiny claws gripping her clothing, and she turned her head slightly and was surprised to see the albino ferret from earlier. "What are you doing here? If you want my coins your not getting any." Kiran murmured quietly to the pet that belonged to Caym. For a moment she wondered why it had followed, but another side of her reminded her that it was not important at the moment.

"I do have a camp in a near by cave, that's where I was trying to bring her" she reached behind her and pulled out a small cylindrical object, clicking it open it extended into a long staff which she used more as an aid when she wasn't fighting. Her feet were all scrapped up now so vibrations weren't going to do anything for her "I believe I have some more bandages, I'm not sure how you're going to move her though" she swallowed slightly. "How bad does it look?"

The small ferret crawled down from the girls shoulder slowly approaching the bunny girl. He glanced at her toy and sniffed at it immediatly the hair on his back raised and he started to hiss at it.

"I'm not sure, there was too much blood for me to be able to tell how deep the wounds were." She admitted and frowned worriedly, as she noted the butterfly woman seemed unusually pale. "Where exactly is your cave? Perhaps the bandages could be brought here..." Her eyes scanned the area, trying to figure out what else might be useful. Kiran spotted a familiar group of herbs growing underneath a nearby tree, and she felt a small sense of relief. At least there was something nearby that she could use, and thereby making herself more useful then just taking note of wounds. Which was really all she'd been able to do up until this point. Glancing at the girl beside her one more time, she stood up and went to gather the herbs, plucking them out from the earth. "I recognize these herbs, they should hopefully alleviate the pain as well..." Taking as many as were there, she returned to the girl's side and tore up the plant until it was somewhat of a paste in her hands. "Hey, quit it. I don't like that doll anymore then you do, but she seems fairly attached to it." Scolding the ferret lightly, she gave it a light swat on the head. Hoping that would at least make it calm down or quit hissing at the doll. Not that she could blame the ferret, the doll gave her bad feelings as well.

Furattā flinched as her shoulders were gripped, then allowed herself to be laid down. Laying down made her feel slightly less dizzy. Although, every movement, even small ones, sent what felt like fiery lashes on her back. more whimpers came out of her. She listened the the woman who called herself Kiran and the other blind lady as she drifted out of conciousness. Her eyes closed and she went limp. Her breathing was labored at that point. Her bunny toy was frowning more sadly. It could do nothing to help its host.

Yopi look up at her, the hit on his head almost confusing, it was very foreign. It was nothing like the scolding he received from Caym, but he still backed up keeping an eye on the doll

Her ears picked up on the hissing but ignored them figuring the girl had brought along a pet "well I'm not really sure where I am now, we've moved a far distance from where I was because of the harpy, if you can point me in the direction of south I'm sure I could find it" she nodded now realizing how far she might be from her temporary home. "I usually never travel far, but if this helps then I can find it, the girl scared away a deer I was trying to hunt so I shot an arrow in front of her and it hit a tree. So if you see that, then we aren't far."

She nodded, though she wasn't exactly sure that the girl would be able to see if she simply pointed. So she headed toward her, touching her shoulders lightly, and twisted her in the direction of south, trying to be as gentle as she could about it. "That way would be south. I'll try to see if I can stop her bleeding." Then with slightly quicker footsteps, she went back to the girl, and kneeled beside her. Hopefully they wouldn't be too late, and she momentarily thought of the mage, thinking he'd probably be much more useful in this situation then she was at the moment. Kiran carefully opened the butterfly girl's mouth, and slipped the herbs to the back of her throat. Conscious or not, the woman's reflexes should still kick in enough to swallow the makeshift medicine, or at least she hoped so. Dark grey eyes flickered to the rabbit, and she made herself lightly wrap her hands around it, dusting off any dirt or debris that may have gathered on it, and then sat it up against the tree trunk. At least, though, the little ferret was no longer fussing about the doll. But she did note how it insisted on watching the rabbit doll.

Aria nodded "thank you, now if you could spray this around the area, it will help me find you on the way back." In her hand was a small vile filled with a clear liquid, it was scent less usually to people, her nose was sensitive, a strength that she has from blindness. When she felt that it was no longer in her hand she started to make her way south keeping her head to the ground focusing her ears. To the ground at her feet.

When the rabbit moved so did Yopi. He laid down in front of it a short but hesitant distance away from the strange toy. He noticed the changing expressions that it had, only it's face moved nothing else.

Furattā stayed pretty limp, but she did swallow the herbs. Her skin and hair had a grey tinge to them, and it wad growing more prominent as she continued to lose blood. At least the flow of blood from the cuts had somewhat slowed down. It was still dangerous though. When the bunny toy was touched, it seemed to shock Kiran. Almost like static electricity, but not quite there. The bunny toy was suddnely glaring at the woman and the animal there.

She nodded, and then looked at the ferret, coming to the conclusion that it would keep playing guard-the-stuffed-animal. Well, perhaps, if she was lucky, it was smart as well. "Hey, come here. Can you do me a favor?" It was at least worth a shot, and she didn't really have anything to lose if it didn't work. Popping the lid of the vial open, she held it out to the small ferret. "Think you can sprinkle this around the area?" Hoping that it understood, she looked to her hands. They were a light shade of red, and stung slightly from the shock she'd received when touching the stuffed animal. Though she hadn't cried out, she couldn't deny that it hurt. There was definitely something off about the stuffed bunny this young woman carried around. Kiran placed a hand lightly against the girl's forehead, checking her temperature and then hovered lightly over her mouth, to make sure she was still breathing. It seemed the girl was going through a sort of change, and not a very good one, either. A sense of worry came over her, and she silently hoped that the blind girl would return quickly.

Aria felt around on the trees for the arrow and smiled when she found it, she then started walking in the direction it pointed in. After a few moments she heard the echo of her foot steps in the cave and smiled. Dropping the staff she walked in and went to the side that she remember she kept the supplies. She felt some blankets and grabbed that along with some cloth to use as the bandage. She then started to retrace her steps back to the smell.

Yopi took the bottle and chewed the top until it opened and spilled into a small puddle on the leaves. He rolled around in it for a while before walking over to the girl lying down and rubbing against her arms, doing the same for kiran. He passed by the bunny and rubbed his side against the trees that surrounded them. When the job was done he took his post back in front of the bunny now noticing his angry glare.

A small sigh escaped her lips, and she stood up, gazing at the bunny once more. It's expression had changed, which startled her. "Oh calm down, I'm trying to help her. Isn't that obvious enough?' She snapped at the stuffed bunny, though of course there was no way the girl's toy could even begin to comprehend what she said. But she'd said it without really thinking, and she was glad no one had been around to witness it. Otherwise they might think she'd begun to lose her sanity or something. After a moment, she kneeled down and snapped her fingers, motioning for the albino ferret to come to her. It was currently the only creature that seemed able to comprehend her words, and the only one awake and conscious. While she was certainly trying to avoid panicking, she began to nervously pace around the clearing. Part of her was tempted to take the girl and hurry to her own camp.

That would be doing something, at the very least. Dangerous, yes, but she'd at least feel as if she were being more helpful. Instead, she focused her mind on what she'd do when the girl came back with bandages. It wasn't wise to bandage wounds that were covered in blood, and it could get infected. So when they got back, if they got to the town first, they'd find a well to clean her wounds or at least a doctor to tend to her. But if they came across a river or stream of some sort, they could just as easily use that...Her gaze flitted back to the girl, and she bit her lip. It was clear there was something magical about her, although moreso that rabbit of hers. Or at least, that's the feeling she got. But it seemed neither the rabbit nor the girl were capable of causing harm to anyone, and she looked sweet and innocent as she slept. Well, as long as one were to ignore the bit of pain that still remained in her expression. A constant reminder that she was injured and in pain.

Yopi turned around and walked towards kiran lifting his head up and watching her pace. He looked vexed, that action gets you no where just right back to where you started. He looked over at the other girl and slowly walked over sniffing at her face, after a few moments of investigation he curled up under her hand, he wasn't doing anything to heal her, but maybe relax the girl.

Aria smiled as the smell from her vile got stronger, she quickened her pace towards the group and groped around for the girl that called herself kiran. She found her shoulder and held up the blankets and cloth, "I use these cloths for my bandages, and if wasn't sure his long we'd be here so I brought blankets as well." She nodded and set them down "how is she?
Caym looked to his side and reached out to shake his hand "I'm Caym, a blacksmith as you can tell. And I've had many enchanted swords before, the difference between other smiths and I is that I care about the weapon, not just the money" he was silent for a moment fiddling with his hands, it's a habit that he had, if he saw a project, or something he could better he couldn't let it off. He looked back at the Mage "if she let me hold her, I'm sure she'd let me sharpen her, I don't use hammers to sharpen"

The sword in Harper's hand had a blue glint to it, like electricity running through the inside of the blade. He looks to the smith, whose name he had just learned was Caym, and said "I'm sorry, maybe not this time. She looks rather upset with me letting you handle her on the first place, and I don't want to risk it, at least for your sake. She's been known to have quite a temper at times, but she may grow fond of you, who knows?" He put on a large smile that seemed to cover the entire lower half of his face, like a kid who had just crashed his bicycle into the garden and had to explain how the tulips committed hari-kari on themselves. He pondered explaining about his sword and why it was so special to him and how he couldn't bear to be away from it, but to a stranger? Granted, he knew the other man's name, but knowing that it was Caym hardly made them friends, did it?

These thoughts buzzed around his head for a moment, but then he brushed them aside as newer, more important thoughts came in, carrying little envelopes of information labeled, To Harper, With Love, From: Your Mind. His mental self opened one of these little letters of thought, took out a letter written in red crayon, stating simply, Find Girl. His real self sat up, then stood up, brushing the dirt off of his trousers. "Well," he said, still grinning profusely, "shall we be off, then?"
