Fantasy The World of Od

"My name is akieta, and if you stay till the moon comes out tomorrow you can come over, I have a boat you can use to get there" she nodded and waved a little at the girl sitting at the table "and don't worry, I'm not going to steal your tail, I'm actually in the same situation as you, atleast a similar one" she looked at the grey ball of fluff tilting her head "what is that?""

"She tried to steal your tail! That's horrible!" she hugged her own fluffy green tail to herself. bewildered as to how Saruka was so calm around someone who would try to steal something so precious! until she realized the monkey girl was drunk. She managed to grab her bag before being pulled away going along the bar making sure she didn't hit anyone with her large back pack. her ears twitched at all the loud sounds around the bar. before refocusing on the girl who's table they stopped at "Ah hello!"

Chickadee waved to the other people, then a look of surprise appeared on her face as Akieta asked what Barry was. "He's a bunny!" she said and lifted the little animal up a little bit. The bunny's ears was longer than his body and he was black, white, and light brown. Barry looked at the other people then started grooming his ears and face as his bigger companion cuddled him again. He licked her cheek then closed his eyes.

Kit smiled seeing another furry friend. "Ah hello there I have a friend as well" she reached into hood shuffling around before pulling a small red fox from her mane of green hair. The fox wagged its tail seeing another animal. "His name is Pix."

She leaned forward studying the creature "I've never seen one before, the only animals you see here are feral cats or dogs" she sat down and pet his head with her finger, the then turned to see another furry creature " like that, that's a feral cat right? They're everywhere"

Chickadee frowned. Dogs and cats? Feral dogs and cats? That sounded terrible! She looked at the fox and smiled. "Aww, it's cute!" she said. "His name is Barry," Chickadee said, pointing to her rabbit. Barry saw Pix amd scurried into Chickader's bag, scared of what he saw as a predator. Chickadee only chuckled and pet him gently.

Kits ears twitched. "Nope Pix is a fox like me!" She grin widely setting her fox friend on her shoulder. He nuzzled kit lovingly before going back to hiding in her hood it was much to loud and too many people. "Ah, Pix is very shy but also really playful when there's not as many people around."

"Ahh, everyone is so noisy, I don't know what's going on." Xerno mumbled. His staff glowing brightly. "Another drink please!"

(Oops, I totally fell asleep after my last post and poor Xerno, everyone left him alone at Kingsdale xD )

Saruka had fallen asleep at the table, her head drooped into her chest, snoring softly. Suddenly, she jerked her head up, mumbled a few assorted words about "Kingsdale... gotta travel... school..." then nodded off to sleep again. Then, she was awake, alert and looking around, "Wha? What'd I miss? Oh, my head, it hurts." She looked at the other three sitting at the table, then at her empty beer mug. "I had too much... Toooo much," she said, swiping a finger around the inside of the metal lid, catching up the last of the tasty foam and popping it into her mouth.

"Well, fellow traveling ladies, I should get some sleep, I have a long trip ahead of me tomorrow back to Kingsdale. Perhaps I will meet you all there at some point." She looked around the table, smiling at her friends, most of them newfound, and placed a handful of gold coins on the table. "Get whatever you want with this, tonight is on me." She pushed her chair out, stood and then strode over to the bar to ask the innkeeper about keys for her room.

Akieta laughed a little at the Simeon girl, and looked at the other two with animal friends. "Well I've never seen those before, I can't go past the town lines and not to many animals wander here" she sipped her drink and looked back up at the Simeon girl. "If you don't leave tomorrow I would like for you to visit me" she nodded "preferably at night but if you really are a traveler then the day time is nice too"

~~~~~Environ (Arc 1 Part 3)~~~~~
At last, the messenger reached the gates of Broan, the largest city in the largest nation of Od. He feebly pounding on the door and hollering as loudly as his weak voice would let him. The gates were opened and he was immediately taken into audience with the king. Upon hearing the news, riders were dispatched to each of the cities, carrying proclamations from King Helfast himself, to be read in each of the town squares by the following morning, heralded by the sun coming over the horizon and laying golden fingers over the earth.
Stickdom updated The World of Od with a new update entry:
Lowering Confusion in Od
We've had an issue recently where players are confused as to who is where when, so I've come up with an experiment to try to make this easier for everyone.
Simply put your character's location (and if you have more than one active character, their name too) at the top of your post. that's it. easy, right? and if your character ends up somewhere else than where they started, put the end location at the bottom, it can be as detailed as you want, from just saying "Broan" or "Trackle", to...
Kingston - Green Dragon Inn
Fenri poured another drink for the magic user and brought it to him, leaving everyone else in Laika's hands as he sat down across from him. Luckily for Fenri she hadn't heard him call out.
"I'm sorry, I don't even know your name. I hope you understand, but I can't just let my sister go on an adventure with some complete stranger. Plus, you still owe me a story for that drink." Fenri smiled warily. The magician seemed alright, from what he could gather, but for all he knew he could be a dark magic user, luring Laika off to murder her and siphon her abilities. He let none of his thought process show on his face, but stopped smiling, realising that he probably looked somewhat psychotic now.
After fixing a wandering wizards air balloon richter packed away his tools and smiled seeing his sister asleep on one of the packing crates inside the hanger. He stood up and slug the bag over his shoulders bringing his goggles up onto his forehead. He walked over and picked the little girl up walking out of the hanger and down one of the main roads in kingsdale to the small home in which they live in.
~Xerno, The Green Dragon - Kingsdale~
"Very well, understandable." He looked fondly at his glass. "I think I'll tell you how I ascended. I was born of simple mother and father, with a lot os potential for magic." As if to prove the point he lifted the glass and made it turn into blue wisps of magic before reforming on the counter. "I practiced and studied for a long time. During those years, I found a branch of magic that I'm really good at, Artificing." He looked far. "After this discovery, I soon improved by leaps and bounds until finally one day, I sought to increase my power by creating an artifact. I made a mistake, it worked for a short while until I poured too much magic into it until I had nothing to pour. The magic I had used returned to me, it was a painful experience, feeling yourself break apart in such manner. And before I knew it I had ascended into a being of pure magic." He chuckled at the end. "There's more to it but I feel that it shall be saved for another day." He stood up. "I'll need shelter for the night, if that's alright with you."
Motley, Westershire: Ethereal Union's main headquarters | Clover Faye
"A pleasure to be here again." Clover nodded and acknowledged every guild member who either waited by the gates to welcome her or simply divided their attention for her. She walked along the huge gateway with a few people reporting and talking to her briefly. They knew more than to spend or waste more time than that. When all that was done, she moved along to the sets of cottages and cabins that all belong to their guild, she reached hers, the one at the last. In truth, hers was supposed to be second to the last, but since her parents' sudden mysterious disappearing, she'd claim everything they once had.
But one thing that only she knows, and the only one thing that the rest don't-- her parents aren't dead. That's what everyone else thought, but that wasn't the case. The secret letters they've been sending her and all the signs that made her realize that they're only gone temporarily, and the feeling that she's being watched; just like in her childhood, just like how her parents did. She was very certain that they weren't dead.
As she passed all those facilities, she couldn't help but think about the one thing that just broke her oath of complete transparency to the guild. But her parents, the very leaders and true owners of the guild as for now, told her specifically to keep it to herself just for a while. Just for a little while. Without the thought of resting yet, she entered the main headquarters of their base, too occupied with thoughts to admire its wide capacity of guild members and their values, and went towards her office. Or her parents', actually.
Their office.
She closed the door behind her, and moved towards the windows, where she could see a huge portion of the guild and their daily lives. It may be night, but the floating orbs of light that spread all around the area and around her and the other guild members were big help.
There was a feeble knock on the door, which she might've not heard if she didn't have a small hint of focus that last millisecond.
"Come in," Clover said and faced the door.
"Lady Clover~!" Shai, a guild member, obviously, danced around the room passionately as if it was only hers to dance in. She was slightly floating too, but that wasn't all to surprising for any of them. After a few seconds of her little performance, she hopped towards Clover's direction. "Letters for you." The young member bowed slightly and handed the letters, not raising her head until the letters were in Clover's grip.
"Thank you." Clover mumbled and scanned the letters with her emerald eyes quickly. They must've been around ten, but she only looked for one letter specifically. The smallest one, soft, crimson, crisp; a letter from her parents. Tracing the runes on it with her fingers, Clover dismissed Shai, who danced outside and looked back briefly before exiting the office.
She slowly set the few other letters on the table beside her and leaned a shoulder on the wall just beside the window where she could silently observe a few of the guild members, that one letter in her palm. With a sigh, she slowly traced a symbol on it. It was the only way she could open a letter such as that. I wonder what they wish to say, now. She thought blankly.
The Green Dragon - Kingsdale
"Ah, yes, right this way." Fenri stood up and led Xerno upstairs, opening the first room that they came to. Inside it was a simple made up bed with a patchwork quilt, and a window overlooking the streets below. The room was clean, if a bit sparse, but with little customers this time of year it was difficult to actually furnish them properly. "I'll put your name in the lodge book. We serve food but we can have it brought up to you here or you can eat with us downstairs later. Make yourself comfy." With that, Fenri left to allow him to settle in, and went back downstairs to Laika and the other customers.
"Wait, check the glass on the counter. Think of it as a thank you." They would later find a gold bar within the glass. Xerno left his staff which magically stood and hung his coat onto it and crawled into his bed.
Richter positioned Jeni on his shoulders and she put her elephant on his head using it as a pillow. He looked around for a place to get some dinner and smiled seeing the green dragon open. He crossed the street and walked inside ducking under the door so Jeni wouldn't hit her head. He walked over to the counter and looked around at the environment if the inn.
Broan, Outskirts
"You.....you're quite the powerful adversary! I shall remember your name when I slay you!"
With that, Andrea charged her opponent once more. It was a hard fought battle and she was already bloody from the wound on her face and a gash on her left arm, her swordarm, as well as a few cuts here and there. She would be damned, however, if she was beaten here. A few of her friends bid her to travel to the city of Broan, she might find better headway in her quest to become just as good as her brother. This opponent would be the first major step in that direction. She would be better than her brother and she would take on the very thing that defeated him and triumph.
Her adversary was nothing less than a rat. It wasn't even exceptionally large, it was just a rat running away in fear of the crazed woman who was chasing it, ducking in and harming her when an opening showed itself. It was fairly easy to defeat the brute however, the rat did not have the requisite stamina to overcome sheer persistence. If there was a patron deity of persistence, it would be this bleeding girl chasing it. Before long it felt its legs give out from under it and the crunch of her the girl's sword piercing it soon after. It had lived a long and prosperous life. It had a family and now it was time for the rat gods to call it back to their side. He died...with no regrets, so ended the tale of Tristam, a rat.
"May you find rest, young rat. I feel more powerful due to your efforts."
True enough she felt power surge throughout her body it was magnificent to feel, like the fiber of her very being was ignited by glorious fury. She took the time to reflect on the changes. It was definitely a noticeable increase in her general ability. Her mind seemed clearer, her reflexes were quicker, her strength allowed her to heft the sword properly now. Yes, these were the marginal makings of her first step.
"That was quite uplifting tune in my head! I feel refreshed! Still though, these wounds will need treatment. I wonder if there is an apothecary that would cater to my wounds for free or at least on credit. Bah, standing here talking to myself gets me nowhere. Broan! Andrea Genis has arrived!"
She laughed a hearty laugh despite her serious injuries. Her lifeblood simply flowing out from the wound that marred her face and the cuts all across her body. This was the first of many victories for the young woman who would begin to step out of her brother's shadow. With pride welling in her chest and an obvious limp with an equally obvious wince per step, she marched toward Broan.
~Location: Old Roger's Tavern in Canterbury~
Kitraru smiled up at her friend "I shall catch up with you later then Saruka. Perhaps I can accompany you if I can restock my supplies" She waved her friend off. She ordered a mug of ale for herself hoping they didn't bring her juice before looking back to the woman who befriended the monkey woman. "You don't really steal tails do you?"
Akieta shook her head "I don't. Don't worry. I have sometng very valuable that can be taken for the same reason" she swirled at her drink "but I'm afraid if anyone knew I would be hunted down like the rest of my kind"
A mug was set in front of her and she sniffed it a bit disappointed it was juice instead of ale. Sometimes she was really irritated that she looked so young. She smiled at Akieta "Good to know" she tilted her head slightly "what do you mean hunt you down? that sounds horrible!"
"You're a traveler right? Can you keep a secret?" Akieta sipped at her drink and poured a little bit of it into the other girls juice "I can show you when it's sunrise, it's easier than explaining. "
