Fantasy The World of Od

The fox was intrigued about the girls secret. She'd seen many strange creatures and held many secrets of her own but it all was normal for her. Kit nodded her head excitedly "Yes, yes! I will not say a word" she smiled. "Thank you" she sipped the shared Ale.

Akieta smiled a little "cause this is my home you know? The only people I tell are travelers because they most likely won't come back. And if you're friends with a Simeon, and you yourself a fox, then maybe this won't be that strange to you" she nodded and got up "well have to leave now If you want to go to my island"

"yes I've seen many strange things far and wide." Kitaru smiled before nodding slightly finishing her drink. "Lead the way Akieta"

Akieta smiled and left some coins on the table. "Call me kiki" she took the girls hand and walked down to the beach. She pushed the row boat out into the water and held it steady. "Hop in"

"Kiki it is then" she smiled. Kit couldn't help but look around at the beach it had been a while since shed seen the coast. She hoped into the boat excitedly. "Been a while since I've been on one of these"

~~~~~Environ~~~~~
Dawn just beginning to break. There appears to be a storm brewing across the middle of the continent.
Od Daily Forecast:
"Light showers around the outskirts of Westershire leading into surrounding nations, while a big south-wester is brewing directly over the cities of Broan, Arconita, And Kingsdale. In Paralonia, looks like nothing but clear skies and bright sun today. Great day for surfing off the shores of Canterbury, or taking a hike in the Faerie woods. And now, back to you, JoAnne, for a look at Sports." "Well, Keith, looks like the Madera Ogres wiped the floor in last night's game, scoring a solid 35-0 against the Trackle Thieves, more on this story at noon."
"I have it just in case" akieta took the rows and put them in place pushing off into the water "you can take it back to shore when you leave in the morning. Or are you staying for a while?"
Kit looked up to the sky "I don't really know how long I'll stay Sakrua is taking off tomorrow but I could always catch up to her another time." She smiled over to her new friend. "I've spent a long time wandering around the forests so the coast is a nice break."
"What's it like out in the forests?" Akieta tilted her head and continued rowing "I've never been passed the town lines and there isn't much of a forest around here" she looked at the girl in front of her glad to have someone sober to talk too
"Its very green" Kit explained before giggling softly "It depends where you are the forests around here are very humid and warm there's a lot of trees and undergrowth of bushes and thick grass so lots of small animals roam around." She thought to her herself a moment. "Ah! I have some pictures in my bag i could show you when we get to land!"
~~~~~Environ (Arc 1 Part 4)~~~~~

The messengers of King Helfast spread word quickly, so as they arrive at each of the cities, from Broan all the way to westward to Trackle, they quickly seek council with the governing authorities of each town to call together a meeting of the people. Considering the matter at hand, the heads of each city quickly consent, and lead the King's herald to the town square, and send forth criers into the streets to call for as many townspeople as hear the calls to assemble for a Royal Proclamation.

(Ok, Players, this is it! the next post from me will be the official announcement of the Very First Official Story Arc Quest! (yay! :3) Carry on as normal, but remember to gather at the town square (of whatever town you are in),at some point to hear the Herald's announcement (or don't, you can always hear about it from someone else later) xD )

"That kind of sounds like my island, except for the animal part" after a few moments she pulled up into the cove and tied the boat to a tree. She helped her out of the boat and noticed a purple haze in the sky "sunrise. I've gotta get into the water" she walked quickly into a cave, inside there is a pool of water being supplied by a small river that goes out to sea. Trinkets hang everywhere and on the roof of the cave a hole to let the moonlight in. Akieta dove into the pool and waited a little while to emerge again

Kit blinked a few times wondering what the rush was about as she followed the strange woman inside of the cove. The trinkets caught her eyes and she became detracted looking around at them before a splash caught her attention. "Hm? Oh right!" She shifted closer to the pool as Kiki surfaced. "You have a very interesting collection"

Akieta swam over to the edge putting her arms up "thank you. I collected them from under the docks or shipwrecks" she nodded her arms now with tiny purple blue scales and her hair more colors than just blue. Her dress melded into her legs to make the tail and fins

Kit stared at the merperson with awe. "Wow... your so pretty" she knelt down next to the lagoon. "I haven't seen many merpeople around"

Motley

Marcian travelled further into the city from the Green Dragon Tavern. To monks of his order the city was essentially the city of sin, magical energy was rampant here so are the people corrupted by it. Yet there was not hatred in the monks for mages and wizards in the city, none are beyond help and those of magic need most of all.

How the people felt about the monks especially an ork one is a different story. Marcian gained many dirty looks as he walked and gave him a wide birth, whether they were directed to his race or faith is unknown. Maybe both.

However, the more he walked the more the onlookers became braver, he could fell the presence of a few following him. He could probably guess their intentions. However they were kept at by the arrival of the herald and the local guard attached to him. The announcements of the proclamation diverted attention from marcian, to his relief, and allow to slip from notice.

(not my best work, but atleast gives me an entrance)

Akieta smiled "thanks, and I haven't seen many of my kind either, they've been hunted for our scales" she hopped out so she was sitting on the edge her tail in the water. "Our scales are worth a fortune in the black market, they're precious, as your tail is to you."

Kit marveled at Kikis tail. "Any tail is precious and it's horrible that they hunt you just for your scales! I remember seeing some in the south a few years ago a small group of them near an island."

She smiled a little "well I hope they're still out there."she nodded and plopped herself back into the water "I can stray far from the water, the nights are always short and I could lose track of time" she shrugged "I'm grateful I can live here in peace, are there more of your kind?"

-The Green Dragon Inn

Tekkan had been travelling for a short while now. He had taken a horse with him, but he had been riding for a long time. The purpose of his travels was to travel to the Lamer mountains, where a civilisation of sorcerers had set up inside the mountains, living off the ores they could find, which were plentiful.

He came into the Inn. It was getting late, so there weren't many patrons left at the tables. There was a man talking to a serving maid, and he had seen him turn his glass into blue wisps of air. A fellow magician. An artificer, presumably. It might well be good to talk with him. Maybe get an enhancement amulet off him, trade it for some magical knowledge of his.

But that could wait until morning. For now, he was tired and sore from riding all day, and needed a nice soft bed to spend the night in. The artificer had gone upstairs, and the serving girl, he reckoned he had heard her called Fenri, had come back downstairs.

"Excuse me, is there a room for em to stay tonight?" He asked her politely.

Kit tilted her head slightly in thought "I haven't come across many at least not foxes. I've seen a bear and tiger even a bird once. I don't really remember where I came from so I don't really know if there are more foxes like myself."

"I'm sure you can find it. You seem like you do a lot of traveling" she nodded and slowly swam around, the sun peaking through the entrance of the cave. "Is your friend like you?, she said she was a Simeon."

~~~~~Environ (Arc 1 Part 5)~~~~~
The herald unraveled his journey-worn and wrinkled scroll, reading off the proclamation of the King. "Hear, all people of Od, this proclamation! There is a threat rising in the south, villages have been abandoned and destroyed, innocents slain! And we have received word of this evil from one who had seen it with his own eyes, and lived. There is a powerful Necromancer in the Southern Mountains, raising an army of our own people and our allies! When news of this reached his Highness, he sought council with the rulers of the other great nations. They have therefore issues a summons, that any able-bodied volunteers, man or woman, of any race that hears this and understands, may give their services to all of Od by setting the task upon themselves to destroy this Necromancer and his abominations. Any who bring proof of his defeat to Broan and present it to Helfast the Mighty will receive a dragon's horde worth of gold, a seat at the King's own table, and a minor province of the kingdom under Helfast's rule.
All volunteers are requested to meet at Broan no later than three days from now. Thus saith the King, Helfast the Magnificent. May the heavens shine upon you and your luck."
This message was repeated by the king's heralds in each city, one for each square, and the message was repeated every hour, that all may hear and heed the call. Bells rang in all of the towers to call the townsfolk to hear, and many cowered or cried out in fear and prayed for deliverance from this plague, while many stepped forward to pledge their service, promising to meet again at Broan in three days time.
"Hm no shes different. she can do more kids of magic than me. I don't know what I am, the bird once said we were something called Ixchelians but i don't know what that means. It doesn't bother me much though. I am Kitaru the traveler and that's all I need to be" she grinned "I've traveled from one corner of od to the other many times in many different directions and learned many things along the way and I'm happy with that."
In the dense forest surrounding Motley.
Azalik pounced through the forest. She was running as fast as he legs would carry her. A squealing harpy folded its wings and dove down from above. Azalik could feel a large talon dig deep into her shoulder. The harpy screamed in delight, it started to flap its wings violently to carry it's prey into the sky. The girl of the forest cried for help, but the trees or animals did not answer. She was all alone. In these times when forest folk are forced into violence they make use of their fangs. Azalik took pride in her fangs, a single row of little sharp jagged daggers designed purely for natural self defense.
The forest girl craned her neck and buried her fangs deep into the flesh of the harpy's leg. With a shriek of pain the harpy dropped Azalik. Falling through the air the plant girl braced herself for impact.
With a loud crack she hit the ground. Her black eye opened wide and filled with water from the pain. She looked down and saw that the stem of her right leg was cracked open, her milky clear blood flowing out. Everything went silently into the black as the girl passed out. Her body went into a state of healing, but now she is vulnerable to anything worse than her in the forest.
