Fantasy The World of Od

~Xerno, Broan City - Westershire~

Xerno smiled as if welcoming the question. "An ascended being is someone who ascended from being human, I am capable of many things on the whim of magic. As of now, I am made of pure magic" He thought for a while. "We can start anytime from this evening to early tomorrow morning." He suddenly smirked. "And as much as I enjoy this, I am losing the feeling in my hand."

Andrea Genis, Broan City, Westershire.

"How about right now? No?"

She let go of her grip on the Mr. Validifer's hand. Obviously he doesn't know how the crazy tight a grip from a Far Easterner could be, and she's the weakest of her clan and possibly the entire Far East. She was eager to begin her training, the sooner it started meant that she would be faster at catching up to her brother. She had not intended to let go but Mr. Validifer had made mention of it, she did not want to scare off the first step she could take toward greatness. Andrea made a small bow as well as an apology to Mr. Validifer.

"I apologize for my unnecessary roughness, teacher. I meant no harm, I swear."

"It's quite alright." He shook his hand. 'That's one helluva grip' He thought. "Later my student, first you must rest, you'll need all your energy." He hands her a few gold coins. "Get a nice bed for the day then meet me in the forest nearby." He starts to walk to the direction of said forest, whistling all the way and his staff playfully flashing blue light.

Green dragon inn. Kingsdale

Richter nodded "yea I know, news traveled really fast in the inn" he out Jeni down and gave her the elephant "go and play outside for a nit I'll be right out" he ruffled her hair and when she left he sat down beside her "I'm thinking of going myself, they might need an engineer, a builder." He sighed "I just don't know where Jeni is going to go, I'm richter by the way"

~Saruka, Green Dragon~

Saruka looked at the man, asking,"So, you're a creator? that's a fascinating trade, from what I've heard, though most of the ones I've seen at the Academy are more into crafting potions of different effects, some that you just sprinkle into the air to heal anyone who breaths it in, while some are like acid, wearing away at an enemies armour, or some..." She stopped, realizing she had been rambling to a complete stranger. "Hi, I'm Saruka," she said, extending a friendly paw, "And I'm on my way to Broan to help stop the Necromancer, do you two want to come along with me?"

~Lizzy, Kingsdale~

The shifter examined a few of her rather long fingernails, feeling lost in her boredom. Giving a small sigh of agitation the girl finally decided to walk into town, which she slowly did. Lizzy pulled her hood tighter around her head so her face would be harder to see by anyone watching her. Her boots kicked up dust occasionally when there was any and otherwise she would kick around small pebbles a few feet in front of her. Her dark gaze drifted around at her surroundings. She ignored any people in her sight, instead focused on the buildings. Hopefully there was some food-place around.

Andrea Genis, Broan City, Westershire.

"But teacher...aand he's gone, damnit. I suppose he has a point, I haven't exactly slept in the past day. But where do I could I possibly find a place where they'd allow me to board for free for work?"

She asked herself as she watched him disappear into the outskirts of Broan. Well at the very least, she found herself a mentor which would mean that her stat growth would finally go up a notch instead of just +1 per level. Still that issue, remained, she had offered up a gold bar to repair a chair, surely that would also warrant her at least one night in that inn would it not?

Andrea was poised to find out. She strode back into Broan to find that inn and see if she could lodge there until the following morning. Her eagerness to learn had blocked out the fatigue but now it was taking its toll on her. Everything was blurry and her movements felt sluggish, her body just felt very heavy. So she wasn't striding back as she was more shambling back to the Inn.

As she pushed the doors aside that required quite a bit of her strength, she found the bar owner staring at her. Andrea shambled over to him and asked for a room. His response was mindblowing.

"Why would you need a room? Didn't you just buy this place?"

"What?"

"I said, why would you need a room? You bought this whole place with that bar of gold did you not? It was clearly worth more than this failing establishment. That was your intention right? To save us from bankruptcy?"

"U-um yes, yes I did intend to buy this fine establishment and save you."

"Hope you know what you're getting yourself into."

"Could you fill me in after I rest, I haven't slept for more than a day and my body feels just about ready to collapse."

"Right this way, milady. The name is Raytham if it please you, me and the lads will handle the day to day affairs of this place."

She followed this Raytham fellow up to the rooms. He led her to the one on the right at the end of the hall. She couldn't exactly be bothered to pay attention to the decor of the room. No, what occupied her focus was the bed with the crimson sheets over it. She stopped at the foot and just collapsed onto it. It didn't take a split second before she sailed the world of dreams.

Richter shook it and nodded "I wouldn't mind at all, and I don't create potions, were both humans" he smirked and got a doggy bag for his food, "Jen seems to have taken a liking to you" he smiled and stood up "I have to run back to my apartment and get some things but would you like to meet back here? In say... An hour?"

A gentle breeze worked it way through the trees in the forest causing the leaves on each one to rustle and dance. It was only then, when a single leaf fell and landed on Ali, that she awoke and her life began. She slowly opened her eyes for the first time, pupils dilating and constricting in order to adjust to the light. She was laying in a clearing within the forest and she could feel the soft grass beneath her. Feeling? That was something she had never done before. This was all so new to her but, she liked it. Ali spread her hands along the ground in front of her letting the grass move between her fingers.

She looked around noticing that the area contained nothing more than trees, grass, rocks, and other abiotic things of nature. A simple forest if you were to ask anyone else. Then she spotted something. A bit of color that stood out from everything else. She reached for it, turning it over in her hands. It was a purple cloak. Of course she didn't know that, yet she still managed to wrap it around herself correctly. Now somewhat clothed, Ali found herself standing, wondering what to do or where to go next.

Shakily but determined Ali went the only place she knew to go, forward. After about half an hour or so, she came to the edge of a lining of trees. In front of her stood a path. Now for the decision. Which way to go?

~Green Dragon Inn~

Saruka nodded. "If I'm still sober. An hour is a long while to be left at a bar." She gave a cheesy grin as she said this, "Nah, I'm kidding, I'm not gonna overdo it, I'll just be waiting around here." She swung back around in her chair, looking longingly at the bottom of her empty cup, then hollered for the bartender, "Keep! One for the road, please! No matter how much I beg and plead, even if I pay for the entire kingdom of Westershire, doon't give me another one after this!" She leaned forward and said in a loud whisper, "So, make it a large one!"

Richter chuckled and got up "I'm sure there will be plenty to drink in Broan, I'll see you in a bit" he left the bar and scooped up the giggling mess of the little girl putting her on his shoulders. He then walked back to the apartment letting her run to her room to get some toys she wants to bring. He grabbed another bag and packed clothing for them both, and the rest of his tools in his other bag. He packed some food and snacks for on the way. Jeni came out of her room a while later with a small backpack, her elephants head sticking out of the richter ruffled her hair and walked back outside heading back to the inn, not really expecting the strange monkey woman to be there.

After a while the hooded girl came across what seemed to be a bar. I could go for a drink, she thought mischievously. The girl then walked into the Inn, curiously looking around before approaching the counter to get her order, however once reaching the bartender's area and ordering a drink he eyed her and asked suspiciously, "Aren't you a bit young to be drinking?"

Lizzy simply asked for her drink again and once receiving the same answer...Or question, she retorted, "Not at all, get me my drink, now."

"No."

"Why not?"

"I'm pretty sure you're too young."

"That's too bad then, 'Cause I don't think I am." Lizzy retorted. "Get me a drink, now. Or I will literally set this place on fire." She now began to threaten. If anyone was listening or watching the argument, Lizzy would ignore them, more focused on the argument at hand.

With a low grumble the bartender would turn around and reluctantly get the girl's order and uncertainly place it in front of her with a low warning, "If you get drunk or ruin my inn in any way, I'll get you arrested."

"All-righty." Lizzy responded in a care-free tone. Then she walked away without paying. "Hey! You didn't pay!" The guy would call after her.

"Why should I? This probably isn't even any good. It's probably stale." Lizzy would call back nonchalantly, sitting down at a table and taking a large swig of her drink.

~Green Dragon~

Saruka finished her ale, and set the glass on the counter with a satisfying Clunk. "Ahh, that hit just the right spot, now I'm all set to travel, just gotta wait for Richter and his sister to show up here. Cute kid, don't know if I heard her name or not, though, gotta work on my names-faces." She watched as a young-looking kid came into the bar and stood at the counter like any old warrior would, demanding a drink of her own. Overhearing the conversation between the barkeep and this girl, she smirked, "The young kids these days, they think they run the town."

As the kid left bar stool, apparently she had gotten her way, she heard the bartender yelling something about not paying. Saruka shook her head, and threw a couple of extra coins on the counter, "I'll cover for the brat there, Chief." She could stand rude kids, that was nothing new, but stealing, even something as petty as a drink, that was uncalled for. She walked up behind the girl seated at her table, and put a calm but firm paw on her shoulder. "Hey, kid, you've got attitude, but that was the wrong thing to do, no matter the circumstances." She was trying to be as unthreatening as possible, but still, she figured she must be some kind of intimidating naturally.

Lizzy continued to take swigs of her stolen drink, though put it down and turned her head to glare over at the person lecturing her all of the sudden. "Kid? Excuse me lady, I'm no kid." She would retort lowly, trying to carefully move her shoulder out from under Saruka's hand as nonchalantly as possible.

Saruka grinned, trying her best to keep her cool. It was little twerps like this that made her sure that she would probably never have children of her own. "Oh really?" she said in mock surprise, "Well, you're one of the shortest and most bad tempered adults I've ever met. And I know quite a few dwarves, so that's saying something." She let go her grip on her shoulder, "Just look out for big kids like me, alright? I heard they can have pretty bad attitudes themselves," she said as she started to walk away. She acted like that was the end of it, but struck the underside of her chair with the tip of her tail as she turned around, not even looking behind her. The hit was a hard one, it lifted the chair off the ground several inches and caused a good amount of this brat's drink to spill all over as she was taking a smug sip. Saruka tilted her head back and laughed as she walked out the door of the bar, tossing a few more coins on the counter to pay for her own drinks.

Lizzy huffed rolling her eyes but holding her tongue, only because Saruka was leaving...Or not. As her chair was kicked Lizzy gave a yelp of surprise, hissing as her half-emptied drink spilled and dripped onto her, which only made her madder. Who did that person think she was? King-of-the world probably. Standing up and walking out of the inn she left the mess for the bartender to clean up. Once outside she would aim to find a quiet area, in an alley maybe, then shapeshift into a cat. A maine-coon to be exact. A large, fluffy cat. Then the cat would strut along, tail lashing it agitation. She'd probably move to some other area next, first however, she needed to get cleaned up. Which was why she had shifted. Lizzy planned to leave Kingsdale, find a source of clean water, then head to the next town.

Saruka was waiting outside the door and around the corner, waiting for this brat to come out the door, as she knew she would. As she left the entry way, Saruka came up behind her and wrapped one of her long arms around her neck, caught her hands in her tail and poked her in the back with a pair of fingers, "And that's you dead, I'm afraid. If you had had that attitude in a rougher part of town, they wouldn't play as nicely as I do, you'd be left on the side of the road somewhere to bleed out."

She let go of her prisoner, and stepped around to stand in front of her. "You have potential and the can-do attitude, you could be great... If you could learn to control it. I haven't even seen all of what you can do, I'm sure, but anyone who is anyone can see that you could be a while lot more than a kid swiping cheap liquor from a bar." She put her hands on her own hips, waiting to hear how she would take this.

Lizzy didn't even flinch at the fangs, though tried to wrestle against the hold, hissing with pure annoyance. With distaste she glared over at Saruka, dusting herself off as if the woman was filthy and had dirtied her clothing or spread disgusting germs. "So now your complimenting me? How kind, I don't need anything you have to say or offer. Buzz off." Lizzy snapped, now being a bit sarcastic. She disliked this person very much already. Of course, she didn't seem to like anybody anymore.

~kingsdale~

Richter walked along the main road, Jeni playing a sort of hopscotch behind him as they walked. He made his way back to the inn surprised the see the monkey woman there, but now with some company. He stepped up beside Sakura, Jeni standing behind him holding onto his pant leg. "Hey,are you ready to go?" He glanced at the angry girl then back to Sakura.

Saruka could not understand this girl. In Simean society, it was an honour to be defeated by a warrior greater than yourself, and then have them compliment you. It meant that they were impressed with your skill at your level and were offering to train you. 'Humans,' she muttered, 'I don't know if I'll ever really know their culture, even if I live among them every day.' She was about to reply when she saw Richter coming towards them, holding Jeni's hand. He asked if she was ready to leave, and she replied, "Yes, Richter, I'm ready. I was just telling my friend here that I admired her strength, and that we should train together again some time soon." She turned and started to walk towards the main road out of the city, not even looking behind to see if Richter was following her.

"Wait.. What?" Lizzy asked, dumbfounded. No one ever had said such a thing. Who was this person? She was about to continue speaking though the person began to walk away, leaving Lizzy silent and merely standing there, confused. Her whole life she had been called useless, stupid, and an enemy. And now this person, probably some form of alien, called her a friend -that was probably just a lie of course-, complimenting her -probably being sarcastic of course...-, and saying she was wanting to train her. Impossible. Truely...Weird and unreal.

Richter shrugged finding that unlikely and turned to follow behind her eventually catching up with her, Jeni continuing her game of hopscotch. He adjusted his bag on his shoulder and put a hand in his pocket "so do you think it would just be a necromancer? Or will it have an army of the undead. Some sense of what I'm getting myself into"

Saruka laughed, "That's all that they've seen IS undead. No definite Necromancer sightings yet, but they figure, undead=unnatural=probably a necromancer. Silly logic, but that's what they came up with." She looked over her shoulder for the first time since walking away, looking at the girl she had left standing in the middle of the street. 'Poor kid, she's probably just as lost and scared as I was when I first came here.' She thought about it for a second, and decided to smile over her shoulder and wave at her, perhaps convey the feelings that she couldn't put into words, that she really did just think of her as a fellow companion in this world, a passing friend.

Then, she turned back to the conversation at hand, "I've been working on my Shi techniques recently, and I'm wondering if my 'dispell evil spirits' Energy would work on an undead soul." She looked at her own two hands, contemplating the Energies she could feel swirling just beneath her skin, power ready to erupt out at her command, yet dangerous if used improperly. She remembered her vow to protect and never bring harm to the innocent, and clenched her fists, anticipating the upcoming battles with whatever undead horrors awaited.

Lizzy just blinked at the wave, still rather confused and unsure. As Saruka continued to walk onward however, so did Lizzy. In the opposite direction however. She still planned to leave this town, interested in some of the other civilizations she had heard about.

"So we are just preparing for a fight that might not even exsist. How wonderful" he rolled his eyes a little bit and looked at saruka's hands as well 'and thought the tail was strange now she has magic' he turned his eyes back forward "guess we will just have to find out ourselves in Broan"

Jeni heard the strange and unfamiliar words out of saruka's mouth, to her that meant magic, real magic. She smiled and ran up behind Sakura tugging lightly on her clothes and looking up at her as they walked.
