Fantasy The Wolves of Crystal Cove

Jack sewed Blue's numerous wounds quickly with a deft hand. When the shaking woman held a hand out to him, he wiped the blood off his own and shook her's. "Name's Jack. I'm Violet's beau, I guess you could say," he told her. "And for some reason I thought we needed duct tape," Jack laughed softly at himself.

"Men think they can fix anything with duct tape. Proven fact," a voice at the door said. Violet had awakened just moments before Jack made acquaintance with Blue. Jack's blanket was still wrapped around her, but it was easy to see she was a tad hurt. She had a slight limp and a small cut on her face, but her beauty wasn't dimmed in Jack's eyes. She walked in slowly and stood behind Jack, wrapping her arms and a portion of the blanket around him. She pressed the side of her face against his back. "Thanks for taking care of things," she began. "And for understanding." She whispered the last part, knowing she still had everything and more to explain.

The man in question shrugged with a smile as he extriated himself from Violet's embrace. "We have company--and you're still naked. . . ?" he said, the last part a slight question. Violet gave him a subtle wink before he shoved his hands into his pockets. "Well, I think maybe we should get you out of the house, Blue. I know you've been through some really rough times recently, but going out will get things off your mind. How about we go to the bar?" he asked. Violet agreed as she scooped Zoey into her arms and stroked her head.

Blue - no longer bleeding out I nodd and smile " yeh just let me shower and get looking presentable..... why are you naked by the way? Or do I not wanna know...."

Violet blinked, trying to think of a way to answer Blue's question without telling her about her run-in with Andrew. To stall she placed the wolf pup in Luna's arms. "Oh, um, I needed a snack after work, so I went for a nice little hunt. I stumbled on Jack's camp while I was out there. . ." she paused, noticing the way Blue was looking at her. "I'm a virgin still, I swear." She held up her right hand. "Honest. Anyways, shower's that way, towels are in the closet, and you can raid my closet. It's a walk-in, and Lupus knows I've accumulated a lot of clothes as long as I've been around!" she chuckled.

Jack gave her an odd look. "Wait, you're not twenty-two? I guess that explains why you know so much about drinking. . . ." he mumbled, his tone tinged with a hurt only Vio detected. He stroked his stubble absentmindedly and Violet rubbed his back gently.

"Anyways, I'll leave you to your devices, Blue. Jack, can I talk to you on the porch?" Violet left Blue to do her thing as Jack followed her. She found the clothes she had left for Blue earlier on the couch. Violet dropped the blanket from her shoulders, her naked body showing obvious wounds, although they were minor, especially compared to Blue's. As Jack began to say something--he had never seen her naked before, the time in the woods didn't count--she sighed. "It doesn't really matter anymore. You know what I am." She turned to look at him, guilt and an aged sadness swirling in her blue eyes like a frothy sea.

Violet turned away, her shoulders sagging slightly. Jack resisted the urge to reach out and comfort her, but a part of him was angry with her for not telling him the truth. He loved her, so why was she so afraid to tell her secret? He hoped she would confess. She finished dressing quickly and began making her way to the door after giving him a small smile that didn't reach her eyes. He swallowed as they stepped outside, the crisp autumn air nipping their faces. The werewolf made her way to the porch swing and sat on the end closest to the forest and her companion sat on the opposite end. "Jack, I--I love you, you know that, right?" she started off, uncertain about what to say. He only mumbled a yes and waited for her to go on. She took a breath and pulled her legs to her chest. "When you told me about what happened to your brother long ago, I believed you when you said a werewolf killed him. You thought I would think you were crazy, you even said so afterwards. And--and I was afraid maybe your anger about what happened to your brother would be directed at me if you knew what I really was. I know how much you dislike wolves even," she spewed quickly. She gave a resigned sigh, put her head on her knees, closed her eyes and waited for Jack to say something, anything.

A few moments passed before Jack even moved. His eyes were closed and he was trying his damnedest not to cry. He moved a bit and Violet felt his strong, warm arms around her for a brief, heavenly moment before he pulled away. When he spoke, it was evident how hurt he was. "You know I would have never hurt you, and I still won't. Hell, I protected you even after I found out what you were. I could have left you in the woods. Honestly if it was anyone else I would have. But I
know you, Violet. And I love you, but you have no idea how much. I would lay my life down for you if it meant you could live just a second longer. I just wish you would have told me. No, I wouldn't have understood--and I still don't. But that just means I'll have to stick around for a really long time so maybe I can figure it out. We can make this work, if you'll have me." He took a shaky breath, nervously hoping she wouldn't reject him like she once had before. Too different, you and I, she had told him before things got too deep.

Jack pressed his lips in Violet's messy hair. She could feel the wetness of his tears as well as she could feel her own. Violet let out a soft whimper as she released her legs to wrap her arms around his torso. His shirt soaked up her tears, but he didn't care. He just let her cry while he did silently, rubbing her back with his thumb, his cheek resting on the top of her head. They sat like that for a long time; Violet had stopped crying much earlier but still remained in his comforting arms. They may have not gone all the way, but their souls were already so intertwined that too separate them would kill them.

Finally, the sound of running water stopped and the pair rose to go inside, hands clasped together gently but stubbornly refusing to let go. "Well, I suppose we ought to get ready to go then," Violet said to no one in particular. Jack merely nodded and kissed the top of her forehead when she left him at the couch to go make herself presentable. "Hey, Blue," Violet said as she knocked on the bathroom door. "Can I do your hair?"

Blue- I pull on a tight tank top and some skinny jeans and I felt normal again , I was useing some of violets cover up to hid thedark circles. Under my eyes and some small bruises , when she knocked " of course "I say giggling " its your house, gosh I haven't had my hair done by a friend in forever"

Zoey - I walk and sit infrount of jack on the floor in my wolf form, watching him. He dosent smell like us but he dose smell like violet, he seems confusedand he was nice to mommy . I bark and let out the cutest little howl and slowly inch closer to him

( zoey makes a nice comic relief)

Violet

Violet smiled at Blue. "All right then! Let's get started!" She grabbed a curling iron and plugged it in. While she was waiting for it to heat up, she glanced at herself in the mirror. She looked like hell. The iron heated up and Violet curled Blue's hair in no time. It fell in perfectly messy curls and framed her face. "Damn, girl. Those boys better watch out," she said with a wink. "I can't believe I still even know how to work one of these since I've had my hair short since the 20s!" she laughed. God, she was old. Then she started on fixing her own hair and makeup, which only took twenty minutes.

Jack

Jack had his head in his hands when he heard the light pattering of small feet stop in front of him. He looked up and smiled when he saw it was Zoey. "Hey, girl. Come 'ere," he said gently, holding out a hand. The pup sure looked soft, and it would be nice to have something that would distract him from his racing heart. He picked her up when she came close and stroked her, babbling like no man would do in front of anyone but a puppy.

OOC: Omg, she definitely does! Keeps things from getting awkward for some characters, lol.

Blue - I smile, my hair was a brown golden color and made my green eyes pop, even curled my hair is long I start doing my make up and make my green eyes almost glow when I'm done I smile at myself in the mirror the I turn to violet " how do I look"

Zoey- I lick the end of his nose and shift into a human baby and giggleand clap. I take a moment to take in this amazing new trick ,I clap again and giggle, looking up at him with my big green eyes

Violet shared the mirror with Blue, super glad she had two vanities. She spiked her hair in the back and made the front messy and sexy. Her eyes were played up with smokey charcoal shadow and liner that made the blue pop. She made dumb faces at herself in the mirror, satisfied with her work. "How do I look?" Blue turned to her and smiled.

Violet let out a low whistle. "Remind me to bring my beating stick so you don't get mauled by men," she laughed. "God, it's nice to have a friend. I don't think I've ever really had one, to be completely honest, Blue. I'm glad we found each other," she said with a smile. Violet made another face at herself then brushed the powder that had fallen onto her black v-neck t-shirt, which was paired with a pair of olive green skinny jeans and hi-top Chuck's. "Okay, enough if the mushy stuff! There's a hot new joint that just opened up in the old car factory. It's so industrial and grunge, it's going to be great," she said with a wild grin. She hadn't really acted like a rebel since the 1970's. The Sex Pistols came into town and Violet became one of their favorite groupies for awhile--until she got arrested for streaking, then they left without her.

Jack chuckled when Zoey licked his nose, but almost yelled and dropped the little one when she turned into a baby. She clapped her hands, seeming mesmerized by the trick, then giggled. "Um, yeah. You're cute and all, but that was little weird," he laughed, tickled her soft stomach. Jack never realized how much he liked kids and how much they liked him until he played with Zoey. Honestly, he knew after he fell in love with Violet, and even more so when she told him she could never have kids. Which she called pups at the time, and looking back now, he realized that was kind of clever. Zoey laughed again and the big man holding her babbled at the little one.

Blue- the door is open a crack and I hear Jack with zoey and pause and hold violet back so she hears it to." How sweet" I whisper to her in a low voice only us were s could hear . After a moment of enjoying that we walk out and gentaly pluck my baby out of his arms and hold herand look at her in the way only a mother can

Violet peered through the crack in the door with Blue. "It is, isn't it? He's so good with kids. He'll be a good father one day," she said quietly with a small, sad smile. Then she followed Blue into the room, who took Zoey from Jack and acted motherly. Jack leaned back and Violet came around the couch so she could wrap her arms around his shoulders and rest her head on the top of his. "Are we ready to go? I think Luna is in the kitchen making tea," she said before patting Jack's face.

Blue- I kiss zoeys forehead and lul her to sleep be fore seting her in the pack and play luna brought , " ready ," I say almost sad though I'm excited to go out I don't wanna leave zoey behind , I give her one last long glance before we leave

Violet saw the slight worry in Blue's eyes when she looked at her baby girl. She put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "She'll be all right. Luna is a great babysitter," Vio soothed. They walked out to Jack's truck--since it was the only vehicle available to them--and waved goodbye to Luna and Zoey who were standing on the porch. Jack hopped into the driver's seat and Violet sat in the middle between Blue and her boyfriend--the thought of Jack being her boyfriend was still so weird for her. He started the truck, loving the rumble of the engine as it turned over. The gravel crunched as the truck pulled out of the driveway, but you wouldn't be able to hear it over the radio, which happened to be playing Bad Moon Rising by CCR.

OOC: I figure you can make the post where the get to the club/bar/party joint. :3

Blue - we pull into the parking lot and climb out with a hesitant smile I openthe door for jack and violet and grin as the rock plays numbingly loud. The dim room was packed with young bodies dancing to the beat bright flashing lights and a large bar in the back I make my way to the bar but some thing tells me no alchol ( prego but dosent know ) "hey can I get a sprite " I say to the busy bar tender with a kind smile when I get my drink I pay and turn to the crowd, sipping my sprite swaying to the song

"Isn't this nice?!" Violet screams to Blue over the music as she lifts a White Russian to her lips. Jack sidled up beside Vi, watching the floor. He was a bit nervous; he always considered himself a terrible dancer, and Vi had never seen him dance.

(SUPER sorry about not responding!! I was grounded for awhile, and then I forgot to respond. Forgive me?? .-. )

I smile and nod ,it felt weird without having Zoey with me .i see a guy leaning against the wall innocently siping a drink like me and i giggle when he sees me doing the same.

( i feel so stupid like i forgot how to do this lol

Jack shifted his weight around, hoping in vain that Violet wouldn't ask him out to the floor. The latter of the two heard the giggle issued by Blue and looked curiously at her before noticing the attractive man not standing too far away. "Ooh," Violet said quietly, although it couldn't be heard of the din of the music. When Blue glanced at her, Violet gave a knowing wink. "Come on, cutie. You're with me," Violet whispered in Jack's ear. She grabbed his hand and pulled him along behind her, staking out a spot just inside the outskirts of the hot bodies dancing around them. She was close enough to keep an eye on Blue, but far enough to not be stalkerish.

The thrum of the music and the heat coming off the people around her sent Violet into a mode of uninhibited wildness. Jack didn't really know what to do with himself so he began to back away, hoping Violet wouldn't notice. He backed into someone, and before he could apologize, he realized it was Violet. She was good, real good. Before his thoughts could wander back to his escape, he watched her. The way her lithe body moved under the light and the sweat that glistened on her skin did something to him. All he could think about was her and how hot her skin was. So Jack joined her in this feverish dance, realizing that all he had to do was what everyone else was doing. Awkward dancing problem solved.

blue watches the boy across the floor and keeps her eyes down she brushes her hair from her eyes and felt sick and held her stomach , she shook her head and watched violet and jack with a smile

Jack and Violet were close, but a bit too close for polite company. But since many others on the floor were like they, she didn't give it a second thought. Jack, on the other hand, only saw the werewolf before him. In all honesty he just wanted to leave with her and--

Violet reached up to wrap her arms around Jack's neck so she could pull him in for a kiss, but saw Blue over his shoulder, still alone. Violet jerked her head in the general direction of the boy and nodded furiously. Unfortunately, her nodding head hit Jack in the jaw, who then lost balance. Violet always had to stand on her tiptoes to kiss him, even on the chin, so when he began to fall, she fell with him. They hit the ground--well, Jack did. Violet was safe from the floor on top of him, who after making sure her significant other was okay, laughed at their clumsiness. She then shot another glance at Blue, hoping she was making a move.

Violet used to fingers to demonstrate walking without getting off Jack. Then she realized they were both not at home and in the way, so she got to her feet, then helped her boyfriend to his own, even though she really wasn't much help. Violet tried to use Jack as an example, but he just kept getting confused when she acted like she didn't know him, but was interested in him. He just figured she had had too much to drink.

blue rushes over to them " violet you ok ?"she looked at her friend with deep concern

"Oh, gods, I'm totally fine! We just fell is all. I haven't had much to drink, and Jack knows I'm a heavyweight," she said with a laugh and a punch to his arm. "But how are you? I know it must be hard to leave Zoey behind, and you're just getting thrown into the life of a werewolf without a pack. You've had hardly any time to recover or adjust. Is all this okay?" Violet asked gently, hoping her new friend was fine. She glanced back over at Blue's proposed "prey," who had found himself a seat on one of the U-shaped couches set into a small room in the wall. He was still alone, and seemed to be uncomfortable.

blue looks down a little sad " im sorry im sucking the fun out this , i miss my baby and my belly is a little off and i havent flirted in forever...."
