Fantasy The War

The two hodded figures waited in the meeting room of the Quaanis castle. They had inquired to speak with the Queen, yet their identities had to be revealed yet. "This meeting is very important, Raeghal. I will rely on your help to get off this, what we need to get."

The hooded person speaking was not just anyone, but queen Svenja of Galadarnad. The concealed approach was necessary for multiple reasons. First, the people of her kingdom should not know where she was. Therefore she needed to travel incognito. The second reason were the tensed relations between Quaani and Galadarnad. Svenja preferred to reveal herself to the queen when she was in front of her.

"When we show our faces, do not stare, glare or anything. Just be polite. They may be the ones responsible for Grandfathers death, but we need them." It wasn't that she did not trust her advisor and champion, she said it to him just as much as to herself. Truth be told, Svenja was nervous. She had no idea how the queen would react, in the worst case, there would a fight be breaking out on the spot. Which was the opposite of what Svenja wanted to achieve. Waiting, she whispered "Bog pomozhet nam...", which meant "God be with us."

It twas a cool crisp morning in the capital of Quanni. Ravens and crows fluttered by cawing croaking at the castle, wishing to get in and away from the darkness that lay all around. The only way to tell it was anywhere near morning times was by how many stars littered the sky. There were very few and the moon was currently New. The 'young' mistress had been up for hours now, her eyes cast out up on the city below her castle, Dernavir. It was beautiful as always, and at this time in the morning barely anything was moving or rustling. A blessing..for now.

Bellatrix would pull herself away from one of the large stained glass looking windows and begin to move about her rather..large bedroom. The woman was in nothing but a fine black silk dress, leaving her long purple hair and deathly pale skin to stand out quite a bit. Bellatrix would make her way toward the wardrobe where she would pull out a leather outfit. It wasn't much much for covering her, but rather used for comfort and protection. She would be going out of the castle for once, to check on a disturbance in one of the other cities. It had seemed that a hellhound made it's way there and was..'disturbing the peace.' She could send someone else to deal with it..but she never really got to leave the castle. So, with that on her mind, she would slip the outfit on and cast away her silk gown. (The outfit is the one from her picture in the CS.)

Shortly after getting dressed, a small shadow would creep along the walls until it was near her. The shadow then spoke in a hushed whisper,
"My lady..there are two hooded figured in the meeting room." Bellatrix let out a long sigh. It was early and the day had already stated with surprises. Fabulous. "Very well." Was all she said to it before it went on it's way. From there, she would leave her chambers and make way for the meeting room, curious to know who had made their way into her castle. Whilst on her way, she would speak to Arkos through the telepathic bond. "Arkos. To the meeting room, now."

Raeghal allowed Queen Svenja to voice her concerns, staying quiet through the entire ordeal. The speech seemed to be more of a copying device than anything else, and he was happy to listen to it. But his trained eyes never left his surroundings, awaiting for any kind of threat that could arrive. He had frowned upon the Queen's request to come without a personal guard, but didn't question her decision. It was a brave act,and he knew that it could also be seen as a show of faith and confidence.

That didn't mean that he wasn't worried. Worrying was part of his job.

"My queen...you know you can make use of my help whenever you feel the need of it. I may not trust this...royalty,but I have faith in your judgement."

The tone of his voice when he said "royalty" indicated that he wanted to say another word, but refrained from doing it. You never know which walls had ears. Rising one hand,Raeghal rubbed the queen's shoulder gently. He was obviously stepping too many boundaries by even touching his ruler, but he considered Svenja a friend.

"We need to stay calm,my queen. Serenity is out greatest weapon in this kingdom that doesn't belong to us. Dueling on the danger of this meeting won't help us,and neither will be trying to change fate. Face the Queen as an equal, even though we have our differences."

Reducing the death of a king to a simple "difference" made Raeghal feel a bad taste in his mouth, but he had no other choice. It wasn't time for revenge, and they needed this kingdom. Whether he liked it or not. @Ami the breadling

Svenja was focuslessly targeting a point on the wall while Raeghal spoke. She nodded. "Yes. Faith in my judgement. Let us hope I have not doomed both of us.", the queen murmured and kept staring.

When his hand touched her, she somewhat came back to reality. A small smile appeared on her face and she laid a hand onto his. "Yes. You are right. As usually." Svenja even laughed a little bit. "What would I do without you... I don't even want to imagine...", she whispered, more to herself than to him.

The queen of Galadarnad looked around, calmer, but still tensed. "I really don't like this place. I miss our kingdoms light and sun. Can't wait to get out of here again, what about you?"

Raeghal smiled back to Svenja, keeping his fingers wrapped around her hand as he lowered it from her shoulder. There was a glance of sadness upon his eyes when she mentioned staying without him. Most advisers were happy to die for their rulers, and Raeghal was one of them. But if he had a choice,he would rather stay by her side. It was dangerous for Svenja to think of him as more than a friend, specially when he could easily die protecting her. The decision to allow her to get closer was a selfish one,but Raeghal couldn't help it.

"You don't have to imagine it,my queen. But I'm sure you would be okay without me,many people of my family can do my job as well as I do. Although I would certainly miss you." It was actually funny to realize how much he fondness he held for the Queen, specially when he once couldn't even look at her without wanting to argue.

His glance dropped to the shadows at his feet. He almost believed that they would create forms and attack them. Nothing coming from the Quanni kingdom would surprise him.

"I wouldn't be able to survive long in this place." It was hard for him to admit a weakness, but he wouldn't lie to Svenja. "I am an elf of light. Staying here would eventually make me fade away into nothingness."

He didn't mention that his powers were being drained already, hoping that the darkness was enough to conceal how pale his face was. Showing weakness in front of the Queen of Quanni would be a bad start to what he hoped was a diplomatic conversation.

Svenja saw the pale look on his face and her expression got worried. "I would want nobody but you. You cannot be replaced." Then she slowly ran a hand down his cheek. "Your cold. Are you getting sick already? Proklyataya! I how long do you think you can keep yourself up?" During speaking she had turned away and punched a wall, her left hand, which was her main hand, started to bleed from the harsh contact. But when she asked him the last question, she had her hands on his shoulders and looked him in the eyes deeply. "Be honest. I need no neardead Raeghal with me right now, so tell me when we need to leave."

Raeghal gently pulled Svenja's hand away from his shoulder, focusing his healing magic into the wound. Warm light involved his body and her hand. The tissues soon closed, being replaced by renewed skin.

"My queen, remember what I always tell you. If you don't control your temper,it might control you. But I do appreciate the concern." He wanted to tell her that he would be fine for a long time, but that could affect their mission. If Raeghal died,Svenja would have to duel in this kingdom by herself. And that...was unacceptable. He distractedly rubbed her fingers as he thought about an answer. "I would say...three days, maybe. At least if we stay in this 'core' of the kingdom. Dark magic is very powerful here. I will feel sick before that, but it's nothing I can't handle. I promise I will tell you if it gets too bad."

But only if it doesn't compromise your mission. He didn't voice those thoughts. It wasn't a time to worry his queen, and he already felt bad for his weakness.

"I'm...sorry. For being a burden. I would have recommended you to bring another soldier instead, but the thought of staying away from you in such a critical mission would be unbearable to me." @Ami the breadling
Matthias drew a pillar of water up out of the sea. Like an elevator, it lifted him and his young charge from the water's surface up onto the deck of a ship. The young King had tailed the ship beneath the waves from its moorings in the land-dweller kingdom of sunlight to these dreary waters. The sun never seemed to pierce the clouds in this particular kingdom. Matthias found it boring and dreadfully tacky, plus, the lack of sunlight killed off all but the most resilient of sea creatures, this had left his dear Kelpie Thavas to gnaw barnacles off the bottom of the ship for want of food. Once he managed to orient himself he would have a word with the ruling Undine about this, surely such a blighted island wouldn't be allowed to remain above the surface.
His eyes flashed to Tina. The young girl in his charge was capable of erasing filthy spots like this, and the entire land-dweller world if she was allowed. If there was a way to unleash her true power and control it, Matthias would be unstoppable. The sea kingdoms would know no boundaries, and the land-dwellers would be distant memories, recalled by wreckages and ruins along the bottom of the boundless sea.

Matthias scanned the decks of the Galadarnadian vessel, watching for any guards or sailors who might harry his little adventure. Spotting no such characters, Matthias moved towards the captain's quarters of the ship. From what he had overheard from open portholes, this grand vessel was the royal ship, and the Queen of Galadarnad was using it on this diplomatic mission. Surely, a vessel with such a crucial mission would be carrying all sorts of goodies and information. He waved for Tina to join him by the doorframe.

"Come dear girl, we're going to play Pirates. Follow my lead."

@Ami the breadling
With a little trouble, Tina climbed onboard the ship. It was beautiful and bright. Tina looked around. "This is soooo nice!", she said and then heard what he said. "Yippee, I love playing pirate!" The girl ran around the first deck of the ship and shouted "Arrr!"

Svenja smiled warmly at her friend. "A burden? Did you just call yourself a burden?", the queen could not believe her ears. "A BURDEN?" The look in her eyes was showing how hard she tried to contain her laughter. "You must be really sick. If you already think you could ever burden me..." Svenja could not hold it and laughed, her head hidden in Raeghals shoulder. "Your such a idiot at times. I told you I would want nobody but you. You are the best and wisest. No other Knight would be of help here, but you are. You always are. For keeping me calm, for seeing what I miss, for being there when I need you."

Raeghal tried his hardest not to blush, although he ultimately failed. He wrapped his right arm around Svenja, softly rubbing her arm. He could tell himself that he only did his duty and that was why Svenja appreciated him. But it would be a lie. She wasn't only his queen, she was his friend. And he often went out of his way to make sure that she was happy, even neglecting his duties to the castle in the process. There were a few...rumors about them, specially between the gossiping ladies of high birth. Not of them were true, but he didn't care about the rising eyebrows he got whenever he crossed the castle. As long as his queen was happy,so was he.

"You know I was once much worse than this,my queen. An unbearable idiot, you could say. One that was very insistent in following you around and being annoying." That made him laugh as well. "But you changed me,and I own you everything. Whatever I can do to help you,I will."

He coughed, but quickly recomposed himself. His hand tapped the hidden sword in his waist by pure reflex. Always being ready was another part of his job.

Thalia woke up from her slumber in the plant kingdom, she ran her hand through her messy chestnut hair and watched as the servants walked in to get her ready for the day. "My lady wouldn't it be appropriate to wear something to go to sleep in instead of sleeping like that?" One servant asked Thalia. Thalia shook her head,"I sleep in what pleases me, and plus it was hot last night." Thalia told her with a yawn and she got up. The servants quickly rushed over to her to cover her up and when they were done Thalia was wearing a white dress with beautiful golden detailed patterns on it, when she finished getting dressed and her hair was braided beautifully. She walked out and headed towards the throne room where she was suppose to meet a few of the towns folk to know of their complaints and needs. Thalia had eaten her breakfast and then she met with the people of her kingdom to address any concerns that they may have. It usually takes Thalia about twenty or thirty-five minuets to get through all the complaints which isn't a lot but the people in the kingdom sure like to talk a lot, especially the senior citizens.

Thalia wondered what was on her agenda today since everyday at the plant kingdom was a busy day for her. Thalia left the throne room and made way to what use to be her fathers study room has turned into her own personal study room. She walks out to the balcony that overlooks the kingdom and watches as the sun shines bright, the bird soaring through the sky.

Svenja blushed a bit when he wrapped an arm around her. Not that it disturbed her, but if somebody entered right now and they revealed who they were... That would not help the various rumors and all the gossiping. But after all, she did not care. They were allowed to gossip, in limited lines. If it would get insulting, the gossipers would justly find their selves hanging quickly.

"Raeghal, you really were annoying at the start, you know? It felt like you hated me for no actual reason. But since the journey... since father died... You are my only family left. No matter what the bloodlines say, you ARE a part of my family." Svenja got a bit sad at the memory of her father. Vladivask IV. had been a good king, but the loss of the greatkings crown, just as the greatkings sword, the Ashbringer, weighted hard on him. It was one of Svenjas goals to get back those artifacts of her kingdom. And she was hoping to get them without use of the black elite. The elite would most certainly get them with ease, except the queens champion got in way, but she wanted peace. And for that a diplomatic solution was indiscussible.

"I wonder how long they will keep us waiting."

A loud, bestial roar shook the stone walls of the dungeon, dimly lit by the faint braziers that lined the walls. The large beast, a massively muscled lion with great black wings flapped in impatience as it prowled before the dark armored figure who held out a single hand to the great beast, his other hand on the hilt of his blade, "Heel, Dro'Khan!" the ghostly voice said, the ethereal sound echoing through the wall, stern and unyielding before the great prowling beast.

As if a spell had broken, the great manticore lunged at the Wight, the armored figure moved with admirable quickness, ducking under the great paw swipe and raising in the same motion, his gauntleted fist slamming into the monster's throat. The great beast landed again, its wings flapping furiously raising up a whirlwind within the dark dungeon, its voice a low growl as it struggled to take in air and tried to distance itself away from the warrior, its feral eyes alight with a dark intelligence tempered in the fields of numerous battles, but the Wight gave it no time as he lunged forward, leaping on its back and gripping its left ear with one hand and, as if knowing what the beast was going to do, his other smacked away the scorpion tail that lashed at the annoying figure on its back.

Turning the ear with a sharp twist, the massive Manticore gave out a shrike, a howl of pain as it fell to the ground, in submission. Biting the ear was something a female Manticore did to her young, to remind them of their place, an instinct that remained with them. Reaching down, he gripped the beast's throat with his free hand and clenched down, growling in his ghostly voice until Dro'Khan fell silent. Staring into the feral eyes that were dulling, he let go and the massive manticore stood up before rubbing its massive head against his armor, once again submissive. The Wight placed his hand on the beast head and gave it a soft rub, looking through the cage to the other nearby where a powerful female lay prowling, wanting nothing more then to rush to Dro'Khan's side. He never rode females, they were larger and stronger then the males, but also uncontrollable. They had recently mated, and for their safety, he had removed her, the newest addition to Dro'Khan's harem as powerful male Manticores build a 'pride' of females. Dro'Khan had challenged his authority when he had removed the female, something he was well used to, and once again, he had reasserted his dominance over the great beast.

"Good, Dro'Khan," he said, his ghostly words echoing in the darkness as he gently scratched the ear he had gripped so harshly, to help remove the pain. He would give the beast a treat, perhaps go hunting with him, allow him to hunt and so stretch his wings, he would like that.

His body froze as the command came through his mind, his body already moving before she had finished speaking. Arkos was no more able to disobey her command then a man could will himself to stop breathing. At the heavy footsteps behind he, he half turned back and held his hand up,
"Sit." A simple command that was followed instantly as the great manticore sat back on its hunches, tilting its head to the side as it watched the Wight King leave the dungeon, a soft yowl the last thing he heard as if the manticore knew of his coming treat and was telling him to hurry back.

His dark boots echoed through the stone halls as he entered the meeting room room, a quick glance around with his hollow eyes told him she had not arrived. He did not pause to look at the two guest, striding across the room to come to rest at the side of the chair at the center of the room, the chair of the Queen. He turned on his heel, standing at attention, his back straight, his right hand resting on the hilt of his blade while his left hung loosely at his side. His... orders complete, he was given back a limited amount of his free will once again.

Arkos' empty eyes glanced over the two visitors, assessing them, both held themselves like warriors. That much was obvious, it took a certain amount of skill to hide such a thing. They stood close together, lovers perhaps? As one was male and the other female, if the curves of their robes suggested anything. Or was one the guard of the other? A close friend perhaps. He did not speak to either, merely watched as it was Bellatrix's right to speak first, and he would not be able to speak even if he wished it, but he was far too polite to do nothing, as such, he raised his right hand from his hilt, tapped his chest, above his heart, brought the gauntlet up to his skeletal mouth and placed a 'kiss' on two of the fingers before bringing it back down to his waist and bowing slightly to the two figures. A greeting to the two unknown beings as he awaited for his Queen.

Sigvald leaned closer to the table before him, the wooden stool creaking under him, his hands hard at work with tools, poking and prodding at the tiny contraption before him. Raising a gloved hand, he gently lifted the dark mask on his face just as his chest started heaving, coughs wracking his body as blood slipped out of his pale lips, and into a small bowl set on the table. Once the blood stopped, he spat to get the last out, taking a metal goblet in one hand and pressing it to his lips taking a sip, swished it around in his mouth and spat it out into the bowl before returning to work, it all happened without him missing a beat as if such a thing happened so often to be nothing more then a blink, an idiosyncrasy that did not require conscious thought.

His hooded head lifted at the sound of a door opening nearby,
"Finally back, Karleen?" He said, his voice metallic and hollow, echoing out of his mask. He turned in his stool, to look at the woman who had just entered, a basket looped in one hand as a blush spread across her freckled face, her blond hair tussled as if she had been running.

"Sorry, Sigvald," she said flashing him a shaky smile as she set the empty basket on a nearby desk, being sure to step over the large silver lion laying out on the rug, "I ran into someone on the way."

The masked wizard turned back to his work, a metallic
hm escaping his mask, "Did you happen to run into the young Marcel, along the way?" He asked rhetorically, already imagine the deep blush that would spread across her pretty face and sure enough, a stammering reply came out, one that even he couldn't make out.

"A fetching young man.. if not a particularly bright one,"
He said, slowly picking up the small contraption he was building, a small bronze bird that sat on his palm, "But not as fetching as my little sparrow, come take a look."

Sigvald half-turned in his stool, swinging his legs out as he heard the telltale swishing of her robes as she crossed the room, bending down to get a closer look at what was in his hands, her blond hair tumbling down like a waterfall, and he was forced to jerk his head as a stray lock got stuck on his mask and he fought to dislodge it.

Oblivious of Sigvald's struggle, her bright green eyes gazed at the bird in childish wonder,
"Oh, its so pretty," she exclaimed, her eyes marveling at the detail, the tiny eyes that had small emeralds sat within them, each and every feather that was painstakingly carved and looked as if it would come alive to leap out of his hands at any moment.

Finally dislodging the stray hair, Sigvald slowly turned the bird to its side, a small key sticking out. To her questioning eyes, he gave a small nod giving her the encouragement she needed to reach out and slowly turn the key. When it would turn no longer, she let go. The small sparrow came alive, its head lifting, tilting to one side and the next, before it began to step forward, walking along his hand before stopping at the edge and unfurling its metal wings, flapping them as if trying to fly before stopping and nestling down in his palms. Karleen let out a squeal at the display of craftsmanship , her green eyes alight with wonder.

"Amazing," she whispered, her light voice making a smile slid across his face. The toll of creating the tiny bird forgotten in the face of true appreciation for his art. It was moments like this in which he lived for.

"What are you going to do with it?" Karleen asked, looking at the bird with almost envy, he held it out to her, "You may have it," Sigvald said before shrugging, "It is merely a prototype."

The life apprentice flashed a brilliant smile before scooping the small bird from his hands and holding it to her chest, already well used to Sigvald's... unique manner of giving gifts,
"Thank you," she whispered before her eyes looked at the bowl on the table and the pooled blood and her emerald eyes flashed in anger.

"You worked yourself too hard," She said, placing her free hand on her hip, "I told you to get some sleep."

Sigvald waved her off with a dark gloved hand,
"Its fine. A little blood and only from my mouth. Nothing to be concerned about. It has been an easy day."

Karleen's lips pursued as she visibly fought down her annoyance at his callous attitude towards his health before letting out an annoyed huff,
"Why must you always be so difficult?"

"Because my assistant shows up late having spent time sharing honeyed words with her newest conquest," Sigvald replied easily, and his lips quirked as the red flushed over her cheeks once again. Before she turned on her heels and stomped towards the door, "I'll be back after I grab your correspondence," she said wagging a finger at him, "And you had better have eaten your breakfast."

Regnier paced back and forth on the large stone wall of Drogar Vin, his blue eyes watching the large mountain that stood alone in a plain, glowing with a faint green glow. The Great Gloom. Reports had come in early the day of packs of Drogar scavenging the countryside, but the Marshal in charge of the Drogar Vin cautioned patience, to watch and see what they were up to, something Regnier disagreed with vehemently. If they attacked them now, they could kill many of the accursed rats and make them think twice about poking their heads from their hovel. An aggressive stance, but now was the best time to strike, before they settled in or more of their kin came out of their holes.

A heavy thudding caught his attention as he turned to see a familiar person walking towards him, her gray hair tied back in a bun, the scar that ran down her left eye made all the more obvious by the dead eye sitting in the socket.

"Pacing will not make her change her mind, pup,"
the rough voice chided him, a playful eyebrow arched over her pale eye.

"I know that,"
Regnier said, letting out a heavy sigh as he leaned against the wall, his thick blond hair falling over his shoulders as his azura eyes scanned the countryside, "But at least I am doing something. I hate this. The waiting."

"I know pup," the veteran halberdier said as she leaned against the wall next to him.

"Its as if that is all we do lately. As they ravage our lands, as they murder, rape and torture our people, we do nothing. Too often do we arrive to find only bodies and burning remains. We are always on the defense." Regnier said, his hand curling into a fist as he could almost smell it, the stick of burning flesh. Could almost see the tortured and brutalized corpses of men and women, curled around the bodies of their children having given the last of their life to defend them.

He let his forehead fall forward to rest on his clasped hands on the ledge of the wall,
"Hilda, where are the others?" He asked, just to change the subject.

The older woman, having sat in silence as her young commander ranted, getting the weight of it off his shoulders, tapped her finger on her chin as she spoke,
"Kruger, that waste of space, is chasing the skirt of some... blacksmith's daughter. I advise you speak to him about that as she is still a virgin and I am sure you would rather not have to deal with the paperwork. As for Gerhard, the poor lad was pulled away by the Old Grumbler so he could, 'show the soft manling how to drink like a proper dwarf'," she finished, doing a rather skilled job at mimicking the rough tone of the dwarf. She lacked the certain... stone grinding sound that his had, but it was certainly better then anything Regnier could have done.

The Marshal looked up at the great expanse of blue, enjoying the light,
"I will speak to.." His words died off at the sound of a loud horn thundering through the fort, the call to arm and prepare for battle.

"It seems you got your wish, pup,"
Hilda said, her mouth setting into a firm line as she turned on her heel to gather her men.

Regnier looked out over the wall, to the gathering smoke on the horizon, yes, it seemed he had, but now he couldn't help but wonder, if he would not regret what he wished for?

"Admitting a fault is the first way to correct it,my queen. I was very annoying." His tone was playful as he considered her words, but it actually made him think. Did he have an actual reason to hate Svenja?

That,of course, made him think about his prophecy. Those words had frozen his skin when he first heard them, making Raeghal feel terrified for the first time in his life.

The one who cannot bow his head

Striking against his rulers,he shall bring dread.

The fire of hate observes from afar

And the ungrateful elf drowns the morning star.

Svenja had been the one responsible from puling Raeghal away from that fate. He stopped being the one who could not bow his head, finally being able to respect and admire her rule. It has been a long time since his idea towards her changed, but the subject still made him extremely uncomfortable. Vladivask was a good, strong king. He deserved someone who was fully devoted to take care of his family.

"I don't know,my queen. Maybe this is their way of intimidating us? It would be a good strategy. I wonder-"

The appearance of an shadowy figure cut his thoughts short, and Raeghal turned to meet the being. His darkness was oppressive, just like in every single being of this kingdom. But he didn't shy away from the man, observing his careful motions. Raeghal recognized the action and replied with his own form of greeting: he took his circlet off, then bowed in the direction of the shadow.

"I present Queen Svenja,Ruler of Galadarnad and first of her name." He fell back into his professional stance, keeping the distance between him and his ruler.

Bellatrix made her way through the castle halls, her heels clicking on the smooth stone floors. She had not heard much from the shadows, other than Aroks's arrival. He must of been much closer than she to the room. Still, she walked through the grand halls, a little faster now that she knew Arkos was there. It was only a few minutes after him, that she arrived. She had apparently been a tad late, as Arkos seemed to of greeted them then one of the hooded figures announced the other. A small smirk threatened to make it's way across her face, but she resisted. There would be a time for that later. Bellatrix closed the door behind her before making her way over to her chair on the far side where Arkos was. "I see.." She began, her eyes never leaving the duo as she sat down in her chair.

Bellatrix knew that name, knew it well. The name of the kingdom she had fought for several years, the one that took her victory away from the little city-state just outside her own kingdom. Why where they here, wondered.
"Well, if that is who you say she is, then un-hood yourselves and take a seat. I welcome you to my home." She said and pointed at two chair across from her. Bellatrix's lilac eyes had a small curious glint in them, before she exchanged a tiny glace with Arkos.

Svenja took of her Hood. "Queen Bellatrix. I am honored to make your acquaintance. I am here on a important diplomatical cause." The visitor bowed respectfully and sat down gracefully. "It might determine the future of our lands, might bring peace where has been war so long." Svenja signalized Raeghal to sit down as well. "This is my advisor and champion, furthermore a brother to me since years. I would welcome if he was treated accordingly."

Arkos watched as the far taller of the duo removed his hood and a circet, and bowed his, could have been a she it was sometimes hard to tell with Elves, head and introduced, well, one of the pair. Galadarnad. That was not a name he had expected to hear. His head turned slightly to look at the smaller of the hooded pair.
Queen Svenja, yes, he was aware of that name. It was simple courtesy to maintain knowledge on ones enemies especially their leadership, and.... well, he kept tabs for one of his own, as well. He wasn't sure how the old king would take news of his granddaughter's visit, and he wasn't sure if he was going to tell him. They meant to keep their visit a secret, and he had no desire to ruffle feathers where they did not need to be ruffled.

His posture straightened even further, a near-impossibility when
she arrived. He could feel her in his bones, it was an odd sensation that he could never grow used to no matter how long he spent in her presence. Her essence, her power, filled him, surrounded him, blanketed him with her very being. It should be suffocating, yet it wasn't. It felt right, it was the only time in his existence he felt warm again as if his heart, which no longer existed, was beating once more.

Arkos turned his head to meet his Queen's just as she looked in his, her eyes alight with a curious twinkle, he tilted his head slightly to the left and raised his shoulders a few inches showing his own confusion and curiosity for why they would come to their realm. This was answered when the young queen pulled down her hood, revealing her beautiful face and long flowing golden hair. An unusual sight, the pair were, to be sure especially in their dark realm.

Peace? They wanted peace? How peculiar. He looked over at his queen once more, wondering what she would do and wishing, not for the first time, that he could feel her thoughts as she did his.

Raeghal didn't hesitate to obey Svenja's signal, sitting down by her side. Honestly,he would have preferred to remain upright. Standing in the same position as the royalty above him always made him very uncomfortable. But Svenja's words were law.

He had allowed his hands to fall away from hilt of the sword, but his glance followed the room for any kind of threat. It was a mostly unconscious and reflexive act. If the Dark Queen wanted to end their lives, she could have tried to do so as soon as they stepped into the shadowy land.

The figure who had first inspected them seemed to change it's posture near his ruler, which wasn't surprising. Queen Belattrix had an enormous amount of dark energy, enough to make him sick just by standing in the same room as her. He felt like a point of light in the midst of an infinite, dark universe.

It was oppressing. But he could respect that amount of power.

Considering how much his expression showed,he could have been a simple statue standing in the room. Nothing came out of Raeghal, and he preferred for it to remain this way. No weakness could be shown in front of the people of this kingdom.

More than often, his mind drifted towards this place. How could such darkness exist without staining the very fabric of the universe? Was that a work of equilibrium? Perhaps light couldn't sustain itself without the darkness to counter it. Which was another reason for them to make peace with his kingdom that was so alien to him.

Even as he had his philosophical considerations, his eyes never stopped following the shadows of the room.

Melisara hid around corners, trying to avoid trouble... or confrontation for that matter. She wandered, hands on her chest with a nervous look on her face, she heard voices. She hid, trying to stay out of sight, the flowy auras was all she could see, given a few white figures. She stayed quiet, and could barely hear what they were saying but she heard the word 'Peace', "Peace?" She said to herself quietly.

Bellatrix's eye brow shot up at the mention of peace. This woman..came seeking peace? After years of war? Most intriguing. "My my. It seems you've shocked me there, darling.~" She mused before placing her elbows on the ebony wood table, and placed her head in the palm of her right hand, her eyes filled with even more curiosity. "Tell me more about this..peace treaty." She said, her voice now having tones of the same curiosity that lay within her her eyes. Bellatrix couldn't help but wonder what the two very..different sides might gain out of this little.. 'agreement'. She could almost touch the feeling of purity that washed off these two. It was..most interesting to say the very least. It had been several years since she'd had someone like them in her castle, and now that they were here and quite good at concealing themselves..she couldn't help but wonder even further on how the fabric of reality would react to Light and Dark coming together. Hm..very very interesting.

Bellatrix's attention was pulled for a brief moment towards the adviser and champion. He looked very handsome, and his stony expression only added to that.
"Your champion is fine to remain in here, just as mine will. Arkos, introduce yourself to these lovely people."

If Arkos had the ability to blink in surprise, he would have. He wasn't sure what she was going to do, but she seemed open to it, or, well, perhaps finding it amusing and wanted to follow the trail to see where it leads. When her lilac eyes fell on Queen Svenja's champion, he felt a sharp stab in his gut and the rising of an all too familiar jealousy. The dark emotion rising in his chest like a sickness, uncalled for and unbidden. It was a simple look, but their champion was an attractive male, as were all elves, and he could not help it. At that moment, he would like nothing more then for the peace talks to come to a very, very bloody end.

When Bellatrix bid him to introduce himself, his body moved automatically, unable to deny her,
"Arkos Kallrax," he said, his ghostly voice floating through the room as he inclined his head forward.

This introduction allowed him to get some control over his feelings, although, he did look back at his Queen, his gaze roaming over her face, the perfect face of a pale beauty that was frozen in time, waiting for a sign that she had glimpsed his thoughts. Hoping she had not, but it was a foolish hope. He could get nothing by her. Not as a Wight.

Melisara couldn't see skin color but white surrounded by a flowy aura, color dependant on their current emotion. The Sight was annoying because she couldn't see skin pigmentation. However she could switch between normal and the Sight on command, doing so revealed her eyes to be an icy blue, though no-one could see them right now. She continued to eavesdrop on the group and the talk of 'Peace'.

Svenja stood up again. "I am glad to meet you, Arkos Kallarax. In fact I have heard that name before, but that is not of importance now." She started to walk up and down, mostly out of nervousness. "So, I will directly speak up, I have no time for games. Too long our kingdoms have clashed, clashed because of reason I do not know and neither did my father. Many have died, and not only on our sides. I am tired of it. I do not want to see my people dying for causes they don't even know and I do neither. There is just no sense in it. I care too much for my people than to let that happen. That is the main reason for my coming here." Svenja turned to the wall, her head towards the ground in a humble and a little sad manner. "I want our kingdoms to just let go of each other. I do not want to force you into bonds you have no interest in. I just want the fights to stop. And for that I am here, against the advise of everyone in my kingdom." The crownless turned around again. "It might be naive, but I do believe that dark mustn't equal evil, like others seem to take it for given. I think light and darkness are two halves, that only together can build a whole. I think our kingdoms both would make good use of trading rights, as what is to be found in our lands is so different." The queen was talking with a lot of emotion, yet clear and dedicated. "But there is one thing that cannot be negotiated when there is to be peace, that one thing I always motivated myself fighting for. Our artifacts, the Greatking Crown and the Ashbringer, that were never returned when the Greatking fell. We need them back. Everything else can be worked out. I am very open for a lot of compromises in most things..."

Bellatrix could almost smirk when she heard Arkos's thoughts as well as his feelings. He did not do well with having her look at another male, especially one so handsome. After his introduction, she loved over at him for a minor second then to Svenja. "Arkos. You are so jealous, but of what reason darling?" She asked him through their bond right before Svenja stood and greeted Arkos. From there, Bellatrix watched as she paced back and forth and spoke of the war. At some points, she could agree..that his war was unneeded and unnecessary for any longer. Too many casualties for her liking. As she spoke passionately, one bit his Bellatrix rather hard. 'I do believe that dark mustn't equal evil, like others seem to take it for given.' She had been trying for the past fifty years to clear the name of her beloved kingdom that she ran into the ground for so long. Bellatrix yearned for people to believe the her kingdom was no longer evil..that they were changing..but it was clear that her hard work wasn't paying off like she had wanted. Then came the negotiation part, the one thing that Bellatrix was rather..annoyed with. Not because of what they asked for, but rather..these things were a headache in a half.

At the end of her speech, Bellatrix leaned off her hand and tapped her chin. So they wanted those artifacts back hm? That could be a problem..a big one indeed.
"Will that change the state of the dead wight king?" She asked Arkos through their bond, not daring to speak aloud what had happened to her grandfather. "You come seeking peace, I am willing to accepted. However..the things you ask for are going to be a bit of a problem to find." She lied, it was a rather easy lie as well, one that came out of her mouth sounding completely like the truth. She was simply stalling to take Arkos's opinion in this.

Arya Kael

Arya focused hard on the groaning man in front of her. With one touch, she knew what ailed him. A gruesome wound on his leg. According to him, he had fallen from a tree and impaled his thigh on a fallen branch, although the wound looked much worse than that. She ignored the lack of logic. It wasn't her job to accuse, it was her job to heal.

She pressed her hands to his thigh, chanting softly. She could've healed him easier, but with a more in-depth spell, she could reduce the pain of the healing and forgo all chances of infection, which would require another healing. Within a few moments, the spell was over, and the leg was well on its way to being healed. The elf in front of her sagged as the pain disappeared.

"Thank you, Arya." He said fervently.

"Of course, Shaelma. Go in peace, and may the trees guide you." She murmured, kneeling as he stood and left. He was a much higher rank than her, she was just a healer. The head healer, but a healer nonetheless. One of her friends, Lara, looked at her.

"Why do you not take a husband, Arya? Many men, handsome men, are interested in you." Lara noted. Arya laughed lightly.

"I have no need for a husband, my friend. For I have the trees and the sky and my magic. That is all I need." Arya smiled, relaxing in a chair as she waited for her next patient.
