Honestly, this is why I avoided the crest mechanic cause there are so many reasons for a character to fall into multiple crest alignments, and to lock one character to one emotional stance is very limiting in my opinion.

ALRIGHT LETS TALK ABOUT THE BIG THING YES DIGI-EVOLUTION HAS BEEN TRIGGERED... lol I was trying to nudge the first one to be Eliam, or Ji-Su but given Arii's actions and keeping FIramon into character I realized I couldn't accomplish that without making it disjointed lol.

With that said I know there was a lot of talk about how much freedom and how much set in stone their would be on the digivolving scene itself so here is what I think works.

UPON THE FIRST TIME DIGIVOLVING INTO A NEW FORM THIS IS HOW IT WILL PLAY OUT WITH THE DIGIVICE SAYING:

Parameters of (emotion/stance triggering the moment) met and exceeded...

Digi Evolution...
.
.
.
Authorized...

After that anytime they digivolve again into said unlocked form it will instead be:

Authorized... Digi Evolution...

Now with that said here is where you will get a lot of freedom the actual cocooning process is however you want to do it. It can be how I did it with Wormmon, or your own creative twist. The only thing that needs to be the same is that outer layer light bubble protecting the evolution cause something I really loved about the digimon first movie was how Infermon smartly realized.... you know what I should shoot Greymon and Kabuteriumon before they can kick my ass cause nothing is protecting them from me doing that.

This light bubble fixes that problem and you can use it as a block mechanic for one attack.

Now per the trigger as you saw for Raven it was similar to Digimon Frontiers with her phone digivice creating a link to her digital data that formed around her wrist as a ring you can do this process however you like you have complete freedom on it since its a gimmick element for fun.

Another note as you know since eating is optional in this world after digitizing how it works is digivolving forms drain energy/will from their partner ergo the longer they stay in a form past rookie the bigger the lethargic impact on the human after the fight like a after adrenaline effect. Strong emotions/stances trigger more energy for the forms.

Yes your partners can burn out for a few reasons. Going way too emotionally unstable into a fight all out, going all out when your near empty lol, human partner going unconscious snapping the evolution right back to rookie a round after giving you one more round to do something before being deflated, by human partners choice as they can control digivolving and devolving on command once per post, and for a story reason if you want to push something by me which really just falls under emotional unstable probably lol.

Ghetto Arii is beautifully hilarious and I legit felt bad that this kid can't catch a mental break. The rant was good, and the trial-by-knife attempt was a good touch to how much Arii doesn't understand that they can't handle this like they have been trained to.

I do really like Ji-Su's layout of action she is lazy yet militant, but with a unique quirky root to it. She also very much understood the situation in front of her and properly understood what she needed to give her partner to be efficient. I am legit excited to see how this goes forward with her in this current act. Also its fun to counter fight Commandramon. Also let it be known the lions going after Arii first so it can full concentrate on Ji-Su who it now sees as the bigger threat.

I very much enjoy evolving and adapting your scene to your peeps actions its a lot of fun to see characters do some crazy wtf I didn't expect that shenanigans which is something I notice this group is really good at but this round you were the star of it.

Seriously peeps this has been my best experience as a GM ever for a project that I built myself to run. (Persona 5 has been great but that's a temp cogm role for one arc so that's a different great experience lol) . I honestly wasn't going to do this idea it was just random a concept I thought was cool, but as I am seeing this act play out I am glad I leaped into full-time gming again.
